And that's why State Farm gets to know you, not as a policy number, but as an actual person.

1:49 ↗

What is this voice? I don't know. Trying it on for size. I'm just excited to have the gang back together. Did you get to ride a Meglodon on your journeys? I mean, the boat was a Megalodon. I had a wonderful family cruise. It was great. And then... You've been hankering for a cruise for years. Yeah, 17 years since my honeymoon. And then finally, finally got back on a boat.

2:15 ↗

I never thought I'd be on a boat, but... But you were. And then I missed two shows, and the whole NFL world explodes. I'm old enough to remember. That's because you timed your cruise up with free agency. Yeah, that is true. But do you guys remember when it was crazy that Tom Brady unretired and Amari Cooper was traded? Yeah. Wow. That was last week, but... That feels like old news. That is old, unimportant news now. My favorite part of you...

2:44 ↗

returning from your vacation was in the last few days you've tried to like break news to us of things that were multiple days old like in the slack channel yeah you're like dude guys Chandler Jones to the Raiders and we're like

3:03 ↗

Yeah, man. That was a week ago. So we can let the footland in. Yeah, why don't we share how we handle our news sources? So in our company Slack, we are all trying to make sure that we have the latest and greatest information. And we try to shifter each other. Oh, absolutely. We want to be first. And if you are second or if you post something after someone else has already shared it, that is a big faux pa around these parts. And you get, quote,

3:31 ↗

body bag. We have a, we have a custom gift. Put him in a body bag. And we will bodybag you if you post information. So my, my repost of the Chandler Jones was so old. They didn't even know what to do. It was new, new grounds on a week old news breaking story. But that's what happens when you leave the country. That's right. That's right. And Mike, did you have a good weekend?

3:54 ↗

Do you have a nice weekend? I did. You just kind of chilled out. So you did another AMA on Twitter. I did. It's a good time, man. When you're just like sitting on the patio, what should I do now? I know. I was communicate with the Foot Clan. I had a good weekend. I shot myself in the eyeball with WD40. I did see that. There was many notes. Which I'd never done before. Have either of you ever done that before? No, I haven't tried that. How is it? Should I try it? It was.

4:22 ↗

it was not good how many one to five stars uh zero stars i i went it was great too because it's one of those things where it's like uh i don't i don't know what movie it is but it's like the what do i do what do i do moment okay because i clearly if if you want to know how it happened i was really close to a hinge and i shot right into the hinge and it just shot right back out okay into my eye at a very high rate of speed

4:49 ↗

And then I ran to the zinc, and I started throwing water in my eye, and I'm asking somebody else to tell me what the container says you're supposed to do for your eye. I imagine it says wash immediately. Which is, it's kind of ironic, right? They have instructions for the emergency of your eye, but how would you ever be able to read it?

5:05 ↗

Ooh. You got to read before. Yeah. You got to check out your eye safety beforehand. So very similar to your crews. Had a really good time. What else is going on? We've got Al Borland in the building today. What's up, Clint? Yeah, he's doing all right. Actually, we'll check in with you later, okay? I bet you will. When we get to the news about a certain someone, I want to know how you reacted.

So much news.

5:59 ↗

News and notes from around the league. Nothing happened. It's a standard run-of-the-mill week at the NFL. Let's start with Devante Adams. This was supposed to, I mean, this is now older news. Right. But Devante Adams was traded to the Raiders in exchange for 2022 first and second round picks, immediately signed the highest paying contract in the history of the wide receiver position, 141.25 million.

6:31 ↗

Oh, man. It was said that this is his lifelong dream to play for the Raiders. Shocked throughout the world. Shocked to the Packer fans like Al Borland. How did you feel about this? Like Jason, I was not out of the country, but I was moving. So I was very disconnected the last week. And I saw this come up in Slack. And my initial reaction was just, no, no, I wanted to die. Oh, okay. But I just didn't understand like why.

7:01 ↗

why we're securing Aaron Rogers and then trading off Devante Adams. And then it comes out afterwards that we offered more than the Raiders did. Yeah, that Devante Adams wanted out. He would rather go play on a poor or a, not a poor team, but on a worst record, you know, worst quarterback, tough division.

7:26 ↗

Where the Packers, if Devante stays, just owns that division. Yeah. They're auto in. Everything is great. And he's like, no, I've spent so much time with Aaron Rogers. I would really love to go and play with my college quarterback. Yeah, I mean, we don't know. I know that the word that got out was that they offered more money. But from what I've read, there's a strong possibility that the guaranteed money in the deal from Las Vegas may have been greater.

7:54 ↗

this had also been a situation that soured over the course of many months. So they hadn't done what they needed to do to kind of, you know, when you have the best wide receiver in football and all the media and all the courting is about the quarterback, then you pay them that money. I just don't know what happened there, but Adams and Derek Carr were collegiate teammates, like you said. They're going to be reunited.

8:18 ↗

And from what I understand, this is more of a move looking long term saying, hey, we're going to do, you know, five, six years together as opposed to really this Rogers deal. This extension is probably a two-year deal for Aaron Rogers. So now there are so many questions that come out of this move. Yeah, like what is Brian Edwards value now? Now that Devante Adams has taken his spot over. So let's start with Devon. He gets to learn. It took Devonte Adams quite a while to. It did.

8:46 ↗

get good. But let's talk about Devante Adams' fantasy value. It obviously takes a hit. No matter what, you're not going to score as many touchdowns with Derek Carr as you do with Aaron Rogers. He's still going to be the dude. And that's one thing that I really like about the destination is I would expect his target, you know, his target share to be phenomenal here. It is helpful to me that they have the change at the head coach position.

9:12 ↗

going into the season. If it was the same type of routines that we've seen in Las Vegas, if it was Gruden, I'd be more concerned about utilizing Devante Adams to the maximum. Now, it's hard because you look at this move. It is a downgrade of some capacity, maybe not a lot. But, you know, Derek Carr is the only one whose fantasy value improves in this transaction. Rogers goes down, Adams goes down, Wallers goes

9:42 ↗

down. Renfros goes down. It's hard to argue that it, from a fantasy perspective, was a boost. Yeah, I mean, wide receiver one for the Packers goes way up. The question is, who is that going to be? Are they going to draft someone? Will they trade for a veteran? Is it just Alan Lazard? No. As of right now, the answer is, yeah, it's Alan Lazard. But I would, if I was in a dynasty league with Alan Lazard, I'd be playing that tune to the

10:12 ↗

and trading them away. Oh, for sure. So Derek Carr, it does go up for Derek Carr. And Derek Carr has had fantasy relevance at times in the past. You have to believe they're going to utilize, I mean, throwing the ball to Renfro, Waller, and Adams is a... That's solid. That's arguably up there with the best tammons in the league. I mean, I was kind of saying, you want to throw the ball to Waller and Devante Adams or Tyree Kill and Kelsey? Like, it's close. Sure. So...

10:42 ↗

Now, for Adams value, looking at what Derek Carr has done, you know, yes, it's chicken or egg of what it will card be now that he has a truly elite wide receiver. But the most touchdowns he's ever thrown in a single season, that was way back in his sophomore year. It was 32. That's the only time he's ever. That was Car, I'm sorry, Crabtree.

11:06 ↗

Right. And Cooper? Yeah, part of my point is Derek Carr has only surpassed 30 passing touchdowns once. And it's not that he hasn't had weapons around him. Like those years with Crabtree and Amari Cooper, like it's a funny thing now to think back of what Michael Crabtree was. But there was a couple of year run where Michael Crabtree was one of the better wide receivers in the NFL. And he was able to pair him with young Amari Cooper.

11:35 ↗

Derek Carr was really never able to get to, like, fully unlock the fantasy value of Amari Cooper to be what we had hoped for what Amari Cooper was coming out of college. So it is, it's definitely a downgrade for Adams. I don't think Carr is a top, you know, five, top 10 quarterback because of us. But, you know, we've talked so much about this division. You're going to have to keep up.

12:04 ↗

with Herbert Mahomes and Russell Wilson. Yes. So the script is going to have to change. It can't be Josh Jacobs between the tackles 22 times. You're going to get run out of the building in every one of those games. Yeah. Prior to this trade, we were looking at Cooper Cup and Devont Adams as basically one, two off the board for fantasy football. Now it's just a matter of how far does he fall to you? And I'm going to throw out some games and see who you.

12:30 ↗

would rather have. We all have cup ahead of him now. Yes. Cup. Cup is one. Jamar Chase or Devante Adams? Give me Chase. Wow. I think it's Chase. I would go Chase as well. Justin Jefferson. Jefferson now that Kirk is back for sure. Tyreek Hill or Devonte Adams? I think that's my line. You would take Adams? I think that's where it's interesting. It's very close there. I will go Hill. I would as well. Keep going for us then. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Debo Samuel. I'll take Devante.

13:01 ↗

Okay. Stefan Diggs. Devante. AJ Brown? Devante. Yeah. I'm not sure that I'm Devante over those guys. Really? Yeah. Even AJ Brown. Yeah, I mean, well, we're going to stat everybody out for the ultimate draft kit once, you know, rookies have gone everywhere. So I don't know. I don't know where the chips will fall, but I could see him being at the end of that group of, you know, all of those wide receivers are great. Your quarterback does matter. And so it's a huge downgrade.

13:31 ↗

for him. Thankfully, dynasty-wise, he got a big old bag, and he'll be, whatever he is this year, I think he's going to be for, you know, a handful of more years. Darren Waller's target pace was 143 targets last year. Obviously missed some time with injuries, but that was his pace. That comes down, right? Yes, he has to. And he's never been a huge touchdown guy. Oh, he's been in volume.
