Week 11 Waivers & QB Streamers + Honeypot Players - Fantasy Football Podcast for 11/14

He did it against the Cincinnati Bengals. And so, you know, that is who Keaton Mitchell is playing on Thursday night. Sure. So those are some perspectives on the top three kind of names. There are a bunch of other keep in mind type of players. Ezekiel Elliott is on the buy. So if you see him hit the waiver wire after tomorrow, pick him up. He's getting enough work to be a valuable depth piece. Antonio Gibson. You know, you are playing with fire because you're probably getting about eight to ten opportunities total and you hope that they're valuable, but they were last week. And then you've got some depth in, you know, you've got the Elijah Mitchell just in case edition. There's a bunch of those guys. What do you? It's really hard to decipher the situation. What are you guys doing with the Anta Foreman? This week it sucks because he has to play the Detroit Lions. But is like it.

Is it going to still be Foreman when Herbert is back? Probably not. Yeah, I think it'll, I'm guessing because he's played so well, he will be active for game days, and then it will be a three-headed split. So I'm very low on the Antiforman. I wouldn't want to start him this week in Detroit. And then by then, Khalil Herbert will be back. So I'm lukewarm. I would drop the Antiforman for those other guys if I had them, if I needed that roster spot. Yeah, and look for Kalil Herbert. on the waiver wire. Yes. Yeah, it's possible. We got, what, 59% on sleeper, 66% on. Foreman's more rostered right now than Khalil Herbert. So you do need to keep that in mind when Fields gets back, that offense gets better. And he is probably just an insurance running back. But Rico Dowdell of the Dallas Cowboys mean, can the Cowboys keep doing this where?

Tony Pollard is not looking like Tony Pollard, and Dowdell is looking better and better and better. I'm not saying Dowdell takes over the backfield, but down the stretch run, is there a chance that this goes more into a time share? I think that that has a slight possibility. Against Carolina this week is interesting because you could easily see a fourth quarter of Beef Boy. Beef Boy Dowdle getting out there, getting 10 plus carries against. one of if not the worst run defense in the league. Apparently James Cook is on a list of drop candidates for people. No, please don't do that. No. Miles Sanders, that's a different story because if you could go pick up a start this week, like you don't want to start Miles Sanders. No, you still can. So if you had to drop him.

I think you can. Yeah. I don't want to do it, but I would, I would definitely do it for Singletary. I would definitely do it for Mitchell. I would definitely do it for Chandler. Yeah. If there are better options, make the, make the tough decision. I'm not looking to drop Miles Sanders. Similar this last week, I had Tyler Algier, who I might be looking to drop Miles Sanders. Gets, gets involved, and I had to drop him. Like, what is the possible outcome for Miles Sanders by the time that we care? Yeah, we're getting to, we're getting to the place in the season where you got to do what you got to do.

Damien Pierce, are you dropping him? Sorry, the next three matchups for Miles Sanders would be Dallas, Tennessee, Tampa Bay. Sorry, one more. We'll add the Saints in there. And after Dallas, it's three road games. Yeah, you can drop Miles Sanders. I'm going to drop Miles. I think you can drop Miles. I think you can drop Miles. I'm not dropping Damien Pierce. He's going to be. No, you got to hold on. And they're in the playoffs. Yeah. Zach Moss, you can drop. Rocheon Johnson, you can probably drop. Rocheon, you could. I would much rather roster. You can definitely drop, I mean. I would much rather roster Zach Moss than Roshan because Zach Moss as an insurance option and an injury ahead of him means Zach Moss is a star again. An injury ahead of Roshan, he's already had it and he didn't do anything. Yeah, he was hurt too. Sure, but I'm saying Calaisal coming back. It's over. It's over. Quick break back with the wide outs. I think a lot of interesting conversations here at the wide receiver position for the waiver wire.

Last week, nobody wanted to buy in on Noah Brown. And I know this because he's currently rostered in 36% of leagues despite being talked about. Guilty. I think what I said was like, I don't know how. I just keep disrespecting Noah Brown and I'm going to do it again. And then I was wrong. Yeah. I mean, seven for 172. Throwing the football a ton. We talked about Stroud over 300 yards again. You get Arizona this week. Oh, man. Noah Brown is a worthy flex play. in my opinion this week. I mean, I get it. I get it. But also it's like, Nico could miss again. Right. But if Nico comes back, if Nico and Robert Woods are active, are you, do you think Noah Brown is his flex? Yes. I'm going to, I'm going to completely stand up for Noah Brown. Okay. And it's under the same precedent that I said yesterday, which is he played, the week he got hurt. He played 68% of snaps.

That's about what he's been playing in the last few weeks. So like Robert Woods here, there, nowhere else. I mean. You're talking about week one? Week one. Okay. And so in the time we've seen Noah Brown on the field. Week one was no tank dell. Is that right? Or tank dell 48%. Yeah, I'm just, look, I'm just taking it. I'm taking it for what it is. It's laid out on the table in front of me in the last two weeks, six for 153, seven for 172. I'm not saying you jackknife him into your lineup over, you know, Amari Cooper or, you know, somebody valuable, but he's worth picking up. He is the best at finding a spot downfield when Stroud is running around being magical. So that's my take on Noah Brown. But number one in the league in yards per target. So when he catches the football, it's valuable.

More names, Michael Wilson. Yes. Just 21% rostered, had six targets, just missed getting into the end zone. In a game where Kyler airs it out more, Michael Wilson will be a potential beneficiary. For sure. I mean, and he's a rookie that's looked good and hasn't had a quarterback really good enough to get him the ball. So I like him as a pickup. My favorite pickup, I know he's rostered, but if he's out there and you need to start, Tyler Boyd. is good when T. Higgins is not there. The matchup against Baltimore isn't easy, but I mean, over the last three years in the games where Tyler Boyd has missed, or where T. Higgins has missed, Tyler Boyd averages six more fantasy points per game in those contests. Did you happen to look at your, on whether he caught that touchdown, whether you would have won, Jason? I have not. I have not looked. I think, no, you would have lost.

I would have lost if he caught that. If he caught that, if Tyler Boyd caught that pass. Because you won by seven, you won by seven points. And that would have been worth. At least seven points. But instead, I am here on the show still. Yeah. Boy, yo, yo, yo, yo. Yeah. Oh, another, the one thing I did look at. That's Mike. That's not me. Boyo, yo, yo, yo. Mike just kept saying, boy, yo, yo, only when he made a good play. I did not say it when he dropped the touchdown. I said it when he dropped it because it also sounds like the ball bouncing away from him. What's funny speaking of my matchup where I needed to win barely won. I tried and tried and tried to get a trade of Jalen Hertz for Josh Allen in our league because Hertz was on by and had I been successful and played Josh Allen instead of Brock Purdy.

I would have lost. Oh, fantasy football. Another rookie, Jaden Reed alongside Michael Wilson. I am a huge Jaden Reed fan. Great matchup this. I think he's the best. I genuinely think he's the best receiver that Green Bay has on their roster moving forward. Five for 84 and a touchdown. It has been improbable that a rookie can come in with Dobbs there, with Christian Watson, and continue to establish himself in the offense. And he keeps being effective on. 39% of snaps and 51% of snaps and 48% of snaps. We talk about targets being earned. Kyle, I don't know if you have his targets per route run. I bet it's pretty decent considering his snap counts. He's interesting. It's still a nervous play when you don't get a lot of snaps. Yeah. But, you know, you want to start Jaden Reed or Alec Pierce, guys. Oh, yeah. And he plays the Chargers. Brandon Cooks.

Brandon Cooks had 10 targets from out of nowhere, 9 for 173 in a touchdown, obliterated the hapless New York Giants on, and he's rostered in about 48% of leagues, 19.4% target per route run for Jane Reed. That's not bad. That's pretty good. On Brandon Cooks, I have a hard time trusting him. I know that you just said it, 10 targets out of nowhere. The previous several weeks was two targets, 4, 4, 4, 4. This is not a great matchup against Carolina just because granted for similar reasons with the Giants last week, you wouldn't expect them to keep throwing the ball. But I guess they really wanted to stick into the Giants last week. So you'd play Noah Brown over Brandon Cooks this week. I would. You'd play Michael Wilson over Brandon Cooks this week against Houston? That one's a little tougher. I think you could go either way there. I would play Tyler Boyd and I would play Jaden Reed.

over Brandon Cooks. Another drop it like it's hot candidate to Mario Douglas. If he hits waiver wires heading into the buy, he is getting targeted a lot. And they may change quarterback, so who knows what's going to happen. Kyle Phillips is not rostered anywhere. Continues to get targets in the Tennessee offense with no Traylen Berks. But not a lot of confidence in that situation. Marvin Mims, we mentioned it. He's running routes at this point, but had one target. That's a tough one. At least he's on the field. He's on the field and he's very talented. And the team is trending in the right direction. Sure. Khalil Shakir last night, he was a step back. He had been targeted regularly last week or last night only one catch, two targets. Jalen Guyton, six targets for. So he's interesting? I, yes. I think that Guyton is, is a, it's very sneaky. Here's.

He was 4 for 41 in a touchdown, and ironically, Quentin was 4 for 34 in a touchdown. I don't think, and I made the decision, I'll throw this out there for the drop candidates. Like, I cut Joshua Palmer. And the reason I cut Joshua Palmer is that by the time he gets back off of IR, the sentiment around the team is that he might not be back then. Like this injury may take him beyond the IR time period, and all of a sudden you're like, am I going to put Joshua Palmer back into my lineup? Three or four weeks from now, no, I'm not going to do that because Guyton is back. He wasn't there when Palmer left. And Quentin Johnston, say what you will. He's going to continue to be worked into the offense. So, you know. But second game back from Guyton's injury, which he was recovering from ACL, right? Yeah, it was a long injury. So he has a completely forgotten player. Played 79% of snaps. And that's what I was going to say. And the second game back, 79% of the snaps.

Six targets. I'm sure Jalen Guyton has more trust already built up from Justin Herbert. So, like, there is, while ever, all the attention is on Q's, finally having a decent fantasy game. Guyton might actually be the number two wide receiver. And if Keenan Allen, we expect him to be fine. He came back in the game, but. It is Keenan Allen. So there's, and he's older, there's a chance maybe he misses some time. And Jalen Guyton, not rostered in a single league. So he is available. Neither is A.T. Perry, the six-round rookie who is now, he played 84% of snaps for the Saints, caught a touchdown. He's going on by. So he's a, he's a name. Forget about it then. I mean, maybe if you're in a-6-5. If you're in a, wow. Yeah, he's a 5-205. Beanpole. Yeah.

If you're in a really deep league, pay attention to him. Is Rashid Chaheed out there at all? What's the roster percentage for Rashid Chihed? That's who you need to pay attention to. He's 47%. Yeah, that's. And he'll get dropped. I think Rashid Jihit is going to be near the tippy-tah. If I'm not playing somebody this week, Rashid is going to be meaningful because Thomas is gone. And Carr, unfortunately, he's probably going to come back. And if Carr comes back, he has eyes for Shaheed, not for Olave. So that's actually the sneakiest pickup of the week to me. Yeah. George Pickens, would you drop him? No. No. Yeah, probably not. Christian Watson, I would happily drop. Yeah, he's a honey pot. Drop him on the waiver wire. A honey pot? You never heard that term? No. In like, a spy terms? No. You trick someone with a luring character. Yeah. Okay. But it's a trick. Yeah.

It's like a Trojan horse. Yeah, this honey, so good. Splat! Yeah. You get killed. And then the Venus flytrap beats you. Uh, Jehan Dotson. Yeah. Oh, man. Dude. You mean Gabe Davis? Dude. Yeah. Dude. I mean, how do you go, how do you go from the previous three games? The previous three games, he would have been on pace for 150 targets. He was averaging nine targets a game. Did you say he played the most snaps? Yeah. He played 95% of the snaps, the most snaps that he's played all year. And just boot him. No catches. Just play somebody else. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. May not want to deal with it. All right. We have some tight ends to get into. Although I just, I forgot we did not announce that we have a new t-shirt on the website because somebody just, somebody just sent it through to me.

Tide-end pickups, certainly at the very, very tippy top of the list, probably not available in any of your competitive leagues. We get it. Trey McBride. But if he was there, you get him. If he's there, you pick him up even if you've got Travis Kelsey.

Because you can flex Trey McBride. Like he's a very, very good play the next two weeks. So we didn't mention it, but part of the upcoming eligible to return, Zach Ertz is technically eligible to return in week 12. He's also, hold on, hold on. He is eligible to retire. Yes. There are many, many things we can say there. And we had our plan of people writing them the happy retirement cards, try and trick the old guy. Can we convince the coaching staff to tell Ertz that they did designate him to return? But then when it comes time, they go, oh, man, we totally forgot to do it. The paperwork. Yeah. We just, we didn't send in the paper. We totally, it slipped my mind. I'll get to it tomorrow. Next week. As somebody. Is that possible? We can work on it. Yeah. So look, the, the options really aren't great beyond Tray McBride.

You're picking up players that you just need to guarantee snaps and some targets. Logan Thomas would be at the top of that list if he's available. And then you get into like Kate Otten. I'm not in on Pat Fryman. I'm sorry. Like it just hasn't been there. The offense is too scary if you want to give it a shot and think, you know, he's a very good player. I think if you are in dire straits at the tight end position, he's worth. adding on the back of the roster. Yeah, but you can't start him. No, no. You can't start him coming off of the hamstring issue that he reagravated and against the number one tight end defense. Like, if you're picking up the muth, that's got, you've got to have two roster spots for tight ends. Is there, um,

Is there somebody else that you want to mention? It's not a great. Take a chance. It's not a great week. Luke Musgrave would be the take a chance player that I would. The Chargers are susceptible in the passing game. The Packers defense has been bad. If the Chargers have a good offensive output, then maybe Musgrave gets more involved. But it's not a great week for streaming tight ends. Yeah, I'll probably lean Otten over Musgrave myself. And that would be an awful thing to have to do. Yeah. Hope you got a tight end. Defenses. Detroit plays the Bears this week. That's delightful. Yeah. At home. The commanders despite losing their defense, it's a great play against the Giants. Yeah. Anyone. Anyone is a great play against the Giants. What's the worst defense in the NFL? The worst defense? They're up there. I mean, if the Cardinals were playing against

Danny DeVito, I'm firing him up. Yeah, I'm not in on Seattle with Stafford coming back because Seattle's defense is in the middle of the pack and they're on the road. We put it in there before I hadn't heard that that he was expected. Miami against Las Vegas is interesting because, you know, they're really, really committed to the run. And I don't think that's going to change no matter of the game script. And so you're talking 25, 27 carries for Josh Jacobs. If they make them throw the ball. Which they should with the points. Jalen Ramsey back, the Dolphins defense is coming into their own against Aidan O'Connell. I really like them as a start. Minnesota plays Denver. Minnesota's defense has been pretty good. Minnesota, for fantasy purposes, they've been all right. And that's not something we've been able to say for a long time. Well, no, at the beginning, this was, you know, the beginning of the year.

You lock in what you think. And at the beginning of the year, it was, oh, Minnesota Vikings, their offense stinks again. And just like Denver, they've been turning it around. Brian Flores, who knew? Good, good coach. He's done a great job. Yeah. I mean, it trades for players on a weekly basis to slide in for bye weeks.

Sam Howell's been traded for multiple weeks in a row, and he's your pick, Jay. Yeah, yeah. Sam Howell, you know, he's not widely available on waivers, but he's the type of player that is probably rostered with multiple quarterbacks or a player you can go get in a trade for very cheap from another fantasy manager. No one wants to really buy in and believe right now in the course of the season. He's the quarterback three. Top 10 and. points per game. He's been a top 10 quarterback in five of the last six weeks, averaging 40 passing attempts per game this year, and they're 10 point home favorites. Little fact, Washington has been a double-digit favorite. Just one other time in the last 15 years. Wow. That's how bad the Giants are. The Giants are terrible, and Dak did it in two quarters against the Giants. So it's there for, this is the kind of matchup that's how, as Emel does tend to surprise you and let you down.

That's fair. He shouldn't, but this is the one where you're like, come on. Look, I prefer your stream very much over mine, and if you've got him, you've got to play him. Kyla Murray. He's put fantasy managers in a tough spot because he looked really good on the way back. But 100% of teams they had him haven't had it. I mean, they've had another quarterback the entire season. You know, Mike, you're staring down the golf Kyler decision every week. In another league, I've got to make decisions with Kyla Murray as well. along with other players. And I think this week, you've got a huge over-under in this game against Houston. You have C.J. Stroud on an absolute heater with this 330-plus passing yards every game. And look, if they are put in a position with their defense, which they will be where they're down or where they're in a shootout, Kyla Marie is capable now with Hollywood, with McBride, with Wilson, with Connerback to put up a big fantasy day. I mean, I think two touchdowns is a given in some form or fashion, either rushing or passing.

Houston is 30th and schedule adjusted fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. It has finally changed. Yeah. Houston is giving it up to the quarterback position. Because they're good on offense now. Yeah. Honestly, that makes a huge difference. So I think that's a really exciting game for fantasy. The Singletary and Brown and McBride and Kyler and Stroud and Dell and Snowell Brown. It's going to be awesome. And Dalton Schultz. Yeah. In terms of like quarterbacks with low rostered, really low, it's. It is a very, very tough week. And I think that Josh Dobbs is the best option. We've already been praising Denver for being a better offense. But Josh Dobbs, or defense, thank you. Josh Dobbs top eight five times, and that includes each of the last three games. He's averaging 37 rushing yards per game. And just he has been making it happen. You know, he has capable offensive weapons. I don't know that we have an update on.

Justin Jefferson, but there's a chance that he's back this week. And if I think that Dobbs should be, he's a player, I think that should be picked up regardless of what your quarterback status is, if nothing else to block your opponents. Because if Jeffrey, once Jefferson is back, Josh Dobbs could actually be incredible with Addison Hawkinson and Jefferson and being a mobile quarterback. So pick him up regardless, but I think that he's worth playing this week if you're trying to stream off the wire. Okay. There's your options there in full stream ahead.
