play extender and DK is a seemingly very hardworking compliment for Russell Wilson I think by maybe you know not much above a thousand but I think a thousand is fair and let me ask you guys this how many times has Russell Wilson sustained

13:50 ↗

2,000 yard receivers. I would guess zero because it was Doug Baldwin and nobody else for the majority. I would guess zero based on the tone of your voice. The answer is zero. And it's not just, it's not, you can't just say, well, lack of talent, but he had Lockett and Baldwin. Locket and Baldwin. He had Lockett and Jimmy Graham, like Jimmy Graham was okay for a little bit in Seattle. That was the closest they got where Baldwin was over 1,100 and Jimmy Graham was at 923. I guess if you don't count this year, like Metcalf had the 900.

14:20 ↗

I honestly, I don't care what Russell Wilson's saying about how great he is in the two-minute drill because Brian Schottenheimer doesn't care and Pete Carroll doesn't care. They want to win football games and they have their plan of how they win football games. So I just, Metcalf definitely has the talent and it could be real, real close that they both just hit over a thousand yards. It's certainly close this year. It's certainly in the realm of possibilities. I'm just, it's, and I think I will buy it.

14:49 ↗

because of the ascending talent of D.K. Metcalfe, he is a big play guy, so he'll have these games where he hits 150 yards every once in a while. But it's not an easy buy for me. The odds are in your favor slightly historically. Metcalfe is one of 41 players, all time to have at least 900 receiving yards as a rookie. We also saw A.J. Brown and Terry McLaurin do it in 2019. Of the remaining 38 who did it, 20 of them did not hit 1,000 in year 2.

15:19 ↗

That's good stuff. So, yeah, I think he's got a shot. So we've got bye-bye sell? No, no, I'm buying, but I'm saying it's not. This is a backstreet voice. Oh. What? Oh, did I get that wrong? Yeah. Jason. Yeah. Yeah, you did. Jason. You want another shot? Yeah, this is an in-sync situation. Holy freaking crap. Dude, you cannot.

15:40 ↗

You cannot confuse Backstreet and in sync. Well, you can. I believe I sure can. No, you can. Okay. Yes, it's you can. They said it couldn't be done. I just did it. You, but you should be embarrassed. 19:03 ↗

I don't we don't get asked a lot like what's your worst what's the worst drop that might that might take the cake I'm saying not not not me not just musically I'm not just music I'm not I'm not throwing you I'm saying the the phrase don't forget to not remember like what you probably wrote it I probably did because it sounds like something I 100% wrote it I definitely wrote that so I take great offense to it but it's funny

19:33 ↗

It's easy top, baby? Yeah, that's spectacular. Wait, I wanted to hear the phrase. Don't forget to remember these things. It's a Jason Moorism at its best. It's on brand in every way, shape, and form. So you're saying that's the worst drop we have, you are looking in the mirror and saying you are the worst public speaker of all time. Guilty-ass charge. I feel like that drop is our show.

20:08 ↗

encapsulated. That's not good. All right. 2019 has come and gone. We want to remember some things from last year. And we're going to count them down. 10 things to remember. I'm going to kick this thing off. Number 10. All right. Number 10, I'm going to just call this hype check. And I know this is, I'm going to give a shout out to Brooks because he was paying close attention to this past year.

20:39 ↗

surfaced it yesterday. It's tough, man. And it is really tough. And I don't even know what exactly, you guys can help me with this. I don't know exactly what I want you to remember. Let's work through it. But let's work through this. And that is basically looking at the team hype that we end up, we end up in the situation every year. And what I think I want people to remember out there is that the NFL is full of very smart people, very smart defensive coordinators.

21:07 ↗

head coaches that get no sleep that spend all of their time watching film and diagnosing the next great thing in the NFL offensively. And last season, we came in, once again, with the team hype train around certain teams. You could talk about Baker and Beckham and Landry and Freddie Kitchens and all the hype that surrounded the Cleveland Browns. Job and Hunt.

21:30 ↗

Yeah, I mean, this is an unstoppable offense. You could look at Matt Nagy and his historical success and Jordan Howard's out the door and then, you know, Judge Diamati was sending me screenshots of Roto World updates about David Montgomery from the draft and how he's the next cream hunt and the team is in love with him and everything he's going to represent with the hype of the Chicago Bears offense. You could look at the team hype of teams like the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs, right? But when...

21:59 ↗

Push came to shove, the Rams. It didn't work out if you were Brandon Cook's owner or a Robert Woods owner unless it was the second half of the season. And you had Jared Gough fall off in terms of fantasy production, consistency. You struggled with Gurley and his consistency and the workload in production. You could look at the offense. You always have to trust Andy Reid. You always have to trust anybody surrounding Patrick Mahomes. Well, Mahomes had struggles with consistency, had the injury. Sammy Watkins.

22:27 ↗

was a disaster for your team. Travis Kelsey was... What he did is just, it is unthinkable. And he had the week one that he had. And it wasn't just, this was like a fluky thing. Okay, Sammy Watkins broke open for three deep touchdowns because there was a defensive laps. Like,

22:45 ↗

He was making guys miss. He looked so good. He looked fantastic. It was against Jacksonville, too, I believe. Yes, it was. And yet even Kelsey, who was very good, like on the scale of tight-ins, he was good. But what you drafted him to be, maybe he didn't live up to that expectation. Damian Williams was obviously not somebody that you could, you know, plug and play. Although you thought that you could. And your playoff challenges, he worked out. Just like Sammy Watkins and other players.

23:11 ↗

But the team hype is something very difficult to diagnose. And I think it is our job to look at the situations around the NFL. That's the whole essence of fantasy, right? That's the fun of fantasy is trying to project who the next team will be. And last year we saw the Ravens and the 49ers become these, you know, leaders in points per game. And are these the two teams that are going to be over high heading into 2020?

23:40 ↗

Those are the type of questions that you have to look at. But basically just recognizing the fact that there is going to be a difference between hype and delivering on the hype from year to year. Okay. Okay. So I think that that's one of those things that, you know, remember the Titans. Let's remember the Browns. Let's remember that there are two sides to that coin. And that movie's not as a.

24:05 ↗

emotionally fulfilling. Remember the Browns? Remember the Browns? Yeah. That one's just like sad sad, not like a sad happy. Some bad Chipotle. All right. Moving on. Number nine. All right. On this one, I'm titling, I'm titling my stuff this year without catchy phrases. And you'll see why on my next one. But this is called weight on injuries. Wait, Jason. Jason Moore. You are the man who gave this world world. No risket, no biscuit.

24:35 ↗

and biscuits lead to diabetes that's it was like you were the man who brought that to us absolutely and now you're and now you're taking that from us uh look i i'm these are important to me mike and these are important so wait you're not naming them because because i want to actually remember them and i'll all right i'm just trying to figure it up well i'll tell you on my next tip all right i'm doing this but proceed tip number nine is

25:04 ↗

weight on injuries. Be patient. Last year, one of the things I want to remember was not buying the injury dip in the draft season. Well, that worked out tremendously. A.J. Green was off my board. I saw him as another Doug Baldwin trap, and he never even got back on the field. Oh, great. You got a one-round savings. That worked out. But then what happened as the season went on over and over and over?

25:30 ↗

You saw these players who were injured who came back and what happened is, well, if they're playing, you've got to play them, right? Remember David Johnson was coming back from injuries? Like, well, you got to, look, if he's active, you've got to play him. How'd Chase Edmonds do that week? You know, Adam Thielen was coming back and you'd want to play him. Then it was like, no, he's, well, no, he's not coming back. Then he finally comes back. He's.

25:53 ↗

He's barely out there. You had it over and over. James Connor did it. Well, James Connor was the reason that early in the season, I talked to Brooks. I said, hey, on this year's things to remember, I want to remember for next year for my rankings on a weekly basis for me as a player. When a guy is coming back off of an injury, if I can pivot, I'm going to pivot because there were too many examples this last year, whether it was DJ or Thielen or Devanta Freeman, James Connor, Austin, Hooper. That week back from injury,

26:23 ↗

They're not as involved. And it really hurt you a lot. And likewise, you saw with Sequin and Alvin Camara, this kind of goes into it a little bit. When you have these serious injuries and people come back and they are playing, it takes time. Like these are actual human beings. I know they're kind of superhuman. But if you are injured, you're not as effective. It's very difficult, though, to do it.

26:51 ↗

with anybody that you counted on to play. To put a guy on your bench and pivot away from these names, like you said, Saquan or Connor or players that were supposed to be foundational, I just think it will be a very difficult mental challenge. So the practical advice here is if you're talking about the Cameras and the Saquan, specific to the high ankle sprain.
