It's a good one. Is it customary to lock non-playoff teams for making any ad drops if there is a consolation playoff? I am in leagues where this is very common. I mean, it makes sense on one level, right? You lock out teams that aren't in the mix. And I guess I'm curious how you guys feel about that. I think I know your answer, but it comes up every single year. And I feel strongly about it.

And honestly, a chance that.

that he becomes something for fantasy. I mean, so, so small. But in a dynasty league, you 100% have to take that chance. So that's a guarantee. You're locking. You're not locking in a dynasty. of the season. That is a huge amount of time for these players. Players break out at this time. And that turn into, that go from a waiver wire wonder at this time into, holy crap, I have a keeper for next year. So if you're in a keeper league, absolutely do not lock people out. And if you want to have the rule, it's just a complete normal redraft. If you want to have the rule, there's no.

Non-playoff teams. There's no financial incentive for a team on a week-to-week basis. There's nothing to be gained by winning the toilet bowl. Okay, fine. Lock people out. But to me, why make it easier for the – I don't – this isn't the NFL. This is fantasy football. This is so much different. The rules of this game are all-inclusive of this game. And I – if I'm out –

I'm going to sabotage. That will bring me joy this holiday season to try and get in there and add players. This isn't how everyone feels. That's just how I play the game. It's not just a negative, though. It's not just sabotaging. I think there is value. You know, if you're in a league that just allows it, right? Like, you know, you've got a consolation playoff or bracket or toilet bowl. If you're playing for anything, you should have access to the waivers. But let's say it's just a normal redraft league.

You're not playing for anything. It is a value to you to continue to set your lineups, make waiver moves, make transactions, and pay attention to what's going on for your knowledge of what happens next year. There is a month of football left. It really makes a big difference. I don't agree. You're wrong. I'm just saying I remember making that change in me. It's playing for 10, though.

Like you are playing pretend. And it's one thing to come up and have an aspirational goal of like you're going to take it as seriously. But the truth is, is if it's a full redraft with nothing significant to play for, I am in favor of locking out non-playoff teams because I think all the playoff teams should compete for those players. It's oftentimes, you know, you get into that situation with the non-playoff teams.

You know, maybe they got a vendetta against one guy. And so they go attack that one player. Maybe they, you know, there's just too much murky ground, in my opinion, to put them on, like set your roster shirt. Go through the motions. Make sure you're paying attention to the news. We always say that. But when it comes to the waivers in a pure redraft, I am of the opinion, which is different than mics, that you should lock non-playoff teams if there's no meaningful thing to play for. I'm 100% fine with that. If there's nothing meaningful to, to play for.

Have your league lock them. I'm fine with that. What I said was if your league does not have you locked, it is a value to you to pay attention to what's going on. I know that personally because way back in the day, you know, 15 years ago, if I wasn't in the playoffs, I just signed out. I just was like, I'm done. Obviously, you're listening to the show. So you're either in the playoffs or you've already chosen to keep up with.

football, and that's great. But I'm just saying when you check out of the last month of the season, it makes a big impact on your drafting ability the next year. So paying attention to waivers will be helpful for you. And, you know, I don't play the vendetta game. I'm not trying to block people. This isn't the Zeke of the beginning of the year where he's in the 70s, sometimes nearly 80% of the snaps. He's been at exactly 64% for three straight weeks.
