When do I pivot from running backs and just go the safe option? Yes. You know what I mean? Like these running backs have questions. Now I'm going to go safe. I'm going to take the known guarantee in Michael Thomas in that first round. I mean, it's insane. What has happened to Michael Thomas? Because it was, well, okay, wide receivers don't get hurt as much as running backs. Michael Thomas has Drew Breeze. Everything is good. Then Thomas gets hurt. It's all right if Drew Breeze goes down because you got James Winces slinging the ball.

115 passagesYeah. Things change quickly. All right. The third one, Keenan Allen against New England. Will he score a touchdown? Normally, you know, you don't bet on a touchdown. Their odds are against you, but five straight games for Keenan Allen. You know the 10 targets is going to be there. You know he's going to have some targets inside the red zone. The odds for Keenan Allen hitting six straight games? So what do you say? By yourself? Look, he's going to, he's silly.
Yeah, it is. He's going to be looked at in the end zone. And, you know, Herbert has got it done. But with Gilmore there and the odds of hitting a six straight being small already, I'm going to sell. I don't think he gets it. Keenan Allen has scored in 7 of 11 games. Like Keenan Allen, the knock on Keenan Allen has always been touchdowns. And Justin Herbert has saved us.
from that. The target share did go down a little bit with the return of Austin Echler, but this is a silly bet. I will buy. Sure, I'm going to buy that Keenan Allen gets a touchdown. Because why not? He's elite. I do think Herbert is just naive enough to ignore the Gilmore factor and thread the needle.
I was going to buy if you sold. I assumed you were going to sell. I'll buy with you, Mike. Let's go. Why not? Let's do it. The touchdown last week should not have happened. That was, that ball, it defied all quantum physics laws in existence and just went straight from Herbert's hand into the belly of Keenan Allen. The frame rate couldn't even handle the speed of the ball. No.
No, you're right about that. That was by sale from pristine auction, pristine auction.com, use the code. Ballers get a $10 credit on their sports memorabilia. Let's talk news. News and notes from around the league. Well, this has been a wild ride. We do have Wednesday afternoon football.com today. And yesterday news started to break that J.K. Dobbins, Mark Engram, they're both going to be activated from the COVID-19 list.
pushed the game back far enough to where they were eligible to come off. And so everybody, you know, we talked about it on the show. Everybody that has Gus Edwards and got him for Thanksgiving is going to be kind of ruined by this news. And now the news is they're not expected to play. Do you guys have anything new on that? Or is Gus Edwards actually going to get the majority of carries?
At the time of this recording, that is the latest news, is that multiple sources confirming that they are not expected to play in this game. Gus Edwards will get the majority of the carries. So, you know, you're going to get an opportunity for what you hoped for, which was Gus mostly by himself, but against a very good Pittsburgh defense. Well, sort of because you thought you were going to have Lamar Jackson as the quarterback for a Gus Edwards running back.
Have you heard, speaking of Lamar, the fact that they moved that game back from Monday to Tuesday, there's talk of that's for the eligibility of Lamar Jackson. Ooh, I mean, I don't doubt it, but I don't know how the timeline works out. When was the announcement of Lamar?
His first positive test. I don't remember exactly, but it's 10 days. It just seemed kind of odd that they would force the Ravens from Monday to Tuesday. Jason's just sitting there with a devious smile on his face. I just feel bad for Broncos fans. Oh, you know, it's like, where was our help? Where was our pushback? Right. They'd go play a game with Kendall Hinton.
Uh, yeah, yeah, that's true. So you could get Lamar back without missing a second week is my point. That is a possibility. Sure. David Johnson eligible to return for week 13 against the Colts from the concussion. No word on whether they will bring him back yet. The only thing I've heard is that the Texas coaching staff is, quote, hopeful he will be available. Uh, Brandon I, you coming off. It's possible. It's possible that David Johnson's on your, uh, your waiver wire.
right now because maybe you're playing a league that doesn't have an IR spot. I would be proactive in trying to put them on my bench. Yeah, David Johnson, David Montgomery, when they missed time, they were missed. You saw what the backups couldn't do and made you appreciate those players more. Will Fuller. Will Fuller is gone. Maybe more targets end up going to David Johnson. All right. So we'll monitor that this week. Brandon Ayuk, eligible to come off the COVID-I.R list this week.
So he should be back. I don't know if he's going to be in my lineup personally. No. All right. A degree of optimism from Miami that Tua will play in week 13 against the Bengals. However, I know, as I said, I knew that would be the fantasy reaction. Are they saying Bua or Tua? It represents something completely different for Devante Parker and company, right? Yeah. I mean, if I've got Gassiki, if I've got Parker, if I want to start a quarterback, if I want to.
have a lot of points at a fun game or enjoy football. A good time. Have a good time. Any of those things you want Ryan Fitzpatrick out there. So I have a degree of optimism internally that he will not start. So take that, Dolphins. Oh, my gosh. Now do you insta sit Parker if it's Tua? No. No, not against the Bengals. I don't insta sit him. He still was getting enough work, had a touchdown in a Tua game.
But you certainly downgrade them. But you're not going to see 14 targets like you saw against the Jets. No. And then Mike Glennon's going to start again for Jacksonville in week 13. Yeah. That season's going great. The reports that I saw at least the latest was that they've told the staff that Gardner is healthy. So this is either their...
playing for the draft because, I mean, I guess Mike Lennon was okay this past week, but Gardner is your best chance to win games, but maybe you don't want to win games right now. Yeah, and they're succeeding on that goal. But James Robinson is in every week start regardless of which.
subparer quarterback is behind center. You could just say regardless of which, whatever your variable is, is it rainy? Is it sunny? Is it a tough defense, an easy defense? Who's a quarterback? Is there an offensive? It doesn't matter. You play James Robinson every week. Yeah. He has been certainly the best value MVP in fantasy. Yeah. Better than so, I mean.
Going into the fantasy playoffs, you want James Robinson over Alvin Camara, don't you? Right now, yeah. I mean... I mean, it changes when Breeze is back. I would flip them, but if Breeze is gone, and as of right now, you're not expecting Breeze until at least week two of the playoffs, and that's on the earliest timeline. Yeah, I mean, will you make it to week two? Yeah, absolutely. So that'll do it for news. A lot of your leagues waiver wires going through a day or two later, reminder...
Check on who your opponents have dropped. Drop it like it's hot. Drop it like a hot. Yeah. And like the leagues like platforms like Sleeper, if the commissioner did not change things, then manually change things. The waivers are running today. So make sure you go check that out. All right. Before we jump into the mailbag, head first, by the way. We're going head first into the mailbag. Before we do that, I want to thank today's sponsor. Listen, football fans.
Are you an Amazon Prime member? That's the easiest question I've ever asked. You can watch NFL Football Live on Prime Video. It's the future of football. I was just talking to a Foot Clan supporter about this. Watching games on the phone has been incredible for our family. I have a job. I have to consume all of these games.
Yet it lets me kind of be a part of things and keep the phone with me and kind of check in. Look, this week, instead of Thursday night, you can watch the Cowboys at the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday, December 8th. Catch all the action on any device, almost anywhere in the world. You can choose your favorite announcer. We've talked about this. You could go Troy Aikman and Joe Buck. You could go Bucky Brooks and Daniel Jeremiah from Move the Sticks. You can get next gen stats on the phone. Watch in-game replays on demand.
Look, this is the way football was meant to be consumed. And again, that's the Cowboys at the Ravens this Tuesday. Kickoff is 8.05 p.m. Eastern on Prime Video. Also available on Fox and NFL Network, NFL Network, simulcast subject to change. And it's all presented by Bud Light Platinum. Let's hop into the mailbag. Mailbag. Oh! Oh!
Wednesday or Wednesday afternoon. Yes, yes. Well, Wednesday afternoon happened because we have a, what, like a Christmas tree lighting? That's what I've heard. Do people really tune in for that? Apparently. It's a must-see. Must-see television. That feels very Christmas caroling. Like that was cool once upon a time, but now you can listen to music on the radio. Is it the Rockefeller tree? Yeah.
Like, did they fix that thing? Did you see that thing rolling in? Oh, yeah. It was Charlie Brown. It was the most 20-20 tree I've ever seen in my life. Oh, for real? It lost its whole bottom leaves. You haven't seen it? No, I haven't. Oh, man. Imagine a tree that's half there. Oh, I can't wait to Google this. But when they cut it down, it looked great. When they rolled it into New York City. It's a rough drive. It had had a hard time. It had been through life.
You don't want to drive behind. Yeah. You don't want to drive behind that semi. No. You didn't need it to put a dress on the bottom half of this tree to make it presentable for New York City. But yeah, they're going to light it though. Like what is, is that a long? I feel like you. Jason just saw the tree. Al just posted a picture. That is.
Horrible. It's dilapidated. And can't you, couldn't you have accomplished football and this tree lighting? Isn't that just more of a one click? It's on? I mean, and now we're going to go to the tree lighting and the tree's lit and we're back to football. I mean, yeah, it could have been like half-time ceremony. Is this, who wants to be a millionaire like suspense thing where they just sit there? Any minute now. Thumb-thum. All right. Let's start this mailbag off with a voicemail question.
Hey, guys, big fan on the Shell Myers calling from Brooklyn, New York here. I just wanted to ask you, who has better rest of season value? Miles Sanders or Rahim Moster, full PPR league. Let me not. Love the show. Thank you, guys. Yeah, I mean, that's a great question. Miles Sanders, Rahim Moster, rest of season. We discussed Miles yesterday. I understand those of you that want to just leave them in your lineup. I don't think that's necessary.
So I lean Mostert. I will say looking at Mostert's schedule here, he's got Buffalo this week. You can run on Buffalo. Washington, week 14. So the first week of the fantasy playoffs, Washington, that is not an optimal matchup for running backs. Now, I understand Kyle Shanahan's system works, generally speaking, against everybody. So it's not like you're afraid to play Moster, but we're trying to compare two guys head to head here. But then Dallas.
And then Arizona, Mostert is set up for, he is set up for success through the, through the rest of the season, really. Jason, would you rather, Miles Sanders or Rahim Mostert in this schedule? The full PPR certainly helps Sanders to have, you know, a baseline of the checkdowns. But at the same time, I think Mostert.
you've got a chance at really catching fire, the way he started the year as just a top option in fantasy. And pretty much every time we've ever seen him inherit the role, he has been very valuable. So I'm going to go with Moster. The worry to me is the only worry that has always been there with Rahim Moster. It's health. Will he be able to, you know, that's a great schedule. I hope to still have him in those games because he just has not been a player that's been able to stay on the field.
