and then use it to have a lot of fancy points. But the reality is the Chargers, Philadelphia, Chicago, three of the next four weeks, I think he will explode and help people win championships. Yeah, I agree. He's a bust relative to what you, like this year when you draft the Sequin, you were doing it with a mindset that maybe I'm stealing value in the first round. It wasn't a guarantee. You were taking the shot at...

14:37 ↗

bargain shopping for Sequin. In our listener league, I think I was pick eight or nine somewhere around there, and Barclay, quote, fell to me. And I had not taken him anywhere. And I was like, I have no shares. He's fallen to me. Maybe I'll take, maybe I'll take that chance of he's going to be Sequin Barclay. And so I drafted him. And then immediately. But you knew when you took him, it was going to take a couple weeks. And it did. And then weeks three and four, he was a top 10 running bag. And then got hurt. Yep.

15:06 ↗

Well, hopefully he gets back to it. All right. That was by yourself from our friends at pristineauction.com. Use the code ballers, and you'll get a $10 credit. News and notes from Around the League, presented by Sleeper. All right, we have a report today, Jeff Duncan, reporting that Alvin Camara is expected to return to practice and play in week 14 against the JETS.

15:37 ↗

Jets, Jets. He practiced in a limited basis last week, but it was a Thursday night football game. So I think that has been the timeline that's been expected. Also, Taysam Hill will start in week 14 against the Jets. Sean Payton saying this will be the next opportunity for Taysam Hill. I don't know what that means. This sounds like a... It's a good quote. A movie quote. Corey Davis placed on IR. I think we already mentioned that. Double report. Well, we knew he was hurt. We knew he was on IR.

16:07 ↗

Did we? Yeah. Okay. Logan Thomas on IR, ruling him out for the rest of the season. David Injoku also placed on the reserve COVID list. His availability is in question for the Ravens game. Austin Hooper becomes interesting because, you know, the matchup.

16:27 ↗

I'm just saying the matchup against Baltimore has been so good for tight ends. And I looked at that like when I was making a DFS lineup. And it's just like Hooper and Injoku, you just don't know who it's going to be. With Injoku being out in a little bit of consolidation of targets, he is at least interesting as a DFS dart throw to me. Can I counter that argument? Sure is. 90% of snaps against this same team last time he played and he had no catches. Did Injoku play? Yeah.

16:54 ↗

Okay. Injoku is not a target demand in this offense. I'm just saying now. No, because no one is. I'm saying you should have reason to worry about streaming Austin Hooper considering he just ghost against this exact team. Quick question. Was Injoku a top 10 tight end against that team the last game? He goes, yes, he was. If you give me top 10 tight ends to amplify your arguments, you better talk about Jimmy Graham one, one, and one inside the top 10. Yeah.

17:23 ↗

All right. David, David Cook, yeah, Dalvin Cook returned to a limited practice on Tuesday. I did holler and shout about this through the office. I may or may not have lots of shares of Delvin Cook. He's going to remain out until week 15. But it's still promising to me that there are, there's talk of Delvin Cook at all. Yeah, I mean, on average, fantasy playoffs are weeks 15, 16, 17. On average, Dalvin Cook managers.

17:54 ↗

are playoff bound. And they have been devastated by missing their champion. And now you're going to go into the playoffs, hopeful that you have him back. That's great news. All right. That was today's news and notes brought to you by Sleeper, the leader in breaking news alerts. Make sure you grab the app and you can get those alerts right in your pocket. What a majestic thing that is. Unless it's your player being hurt. Yeah, then it's not great.

18:24 ↗

How are you doing today, Brooks? Doing good. How about you, Andy? Oh, Superman does good. I'm doing good. Al, how are you doing? Doing great. Okay, so. You're the better producer today? Nah, whatever. Any other news that I've forgotten about anything else breaking? Nothing yet. Hear anything about Corey Davis? I hear he's out for the season. Out on IR. Is that? Yeah, because he's on the IR. That's why. We have mailbag momentarily. We do want to thank today's sponsors. We want to thank Fight Camp.

18:53 ↗

19:21 ↗

Intense and excellent. When I was done, I had to like hold my arms like above my shoulders were just on fire. And it was so great. So you went from fight camp to sweat camp. They're both doing good to great. And so I think I'm going to ask both producers to share in the mailbag drop. And I think I pay them enough to do so. Merry Christmas. Mailbag. Mailbag. It was loud. That's great.

22:03 ↗

I love you guys. I feel like we got some harmony in there. That wasn't bad. Uh, what is? It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad. Like, what is the, the opposite of harmony? Talk singing? No, no, I'm saying, like, destruction, pain. Disharmony? Is this harmony? Disharmony does seem pretty. Well, it's the bill.

22:25 ↗

I've thrown prefixes onto words before. Dissants. According to Google, dissidents. Dissidents. Okay, yes. There was some real semitone stuff going on there. On the scale of what happened to what could have happened, I think they did all right. Oh, that was their best. I mean, yeah. I mean, you guys nailed it for you. It's really great. Grading on a curve here? Yes, A plus. Thank you. Well done. That means a lot. I feel guilty putting one of them on an island, but together.

22:55 ↗

I'll do anything. I'll do anything at all. I just, I mean, my job security just went up. Well, you were wrapping up that fine ad ad ad lead there, and I didn't want to stress you out. Oh, I appreciate that. It's a great show moment. Yeah. All right. You can head to the website. If you have a mailbag question, it's easy. Click the submit a question button on the site, or you can dial our voicemail hotline 302464 TFFB. Let's jump in to the mailbag.

23:24 ↗

All right. We've got a question here from Eric because I didn't ask it at the top of the show. Oh, is this the quick question? This is the quick question. It's still quick. It's just later. It's a late question. Look, there's no rules. Clearly. Is it worth hanging on to insurance running backs during a playoff run or do you drop them for bench depth? I would say that this is the time of year you need to have your insurance backs ready to go. Your playoff bound. Your team is getting set.

23:55 ↗

Depth matters less and less the fewer weeks that are to go. It's not to say destroy your depth and it doesn't matter at all, but this is where I will carry insurance backs, multiple defenses, playing the weeks out in advance. Do you guys agree, disagree? I 100% agree because it's not just what they could do for your team, where like if you held on to, you know, well,

24:22 ↗

Pollard and Madison are a little bit different. But, you know, backups where at this point of the season, all signs point two, they would get a huge workload increase if the starter is to miss time. Not only does that give you a new option that you're running back to or your flex position, but if that player is on someone else's team at this point of the season and they get boosted with another player that they can have a stronger starting lineup against you,

24:52 ↗

That's devastating. So that's just, there's multiple reasons to hold on to these guys because you don't need, you don't need that fifth wide receiver. You don't need even that fourth wide receiver who's just like someone that you could replace on the waiver wire on a weekly basis. Those players, if there's no actual path for a player on your bench to improve like an insurance running back, then there's really no need for them to be there.

25:19 ↗

Yeah, and I'll just add, I mean, this would be like Jared Patterson for Washington. If you're the Antonio Gibson manager, you need to know at running back that you have somebody to play. And earlier in the year, you might have chosen to bench Chuba Hubbard instead of Jared Patterson because what if. But at this point in the year, you need to know that if your guy goes out, you're not fighting for Adrian Peterson on the waiver wire. That's one of the most important things in your life. Oh. So we agree.

25:47 ↗

Twitter, Nathan, writing in, says, serious question. Oh, no. Oh, no. Tayson Hill. Oh, no. Or Lamar Jackson. Taysam Hill gets to play the New York Jets. Alvin Camara is back, allegedly. Taysam Hill does have the mallet finger, the finger injury. That one does not sound good. No, it does not. That sounds like something you got with. What's the other, when you eat a bunch of meat, the gout?

26:16 ↗

Like the gout and mallet finger are in the same meat gives you gout? Yeah, I think so. Really? Yeah, too much red meat. Well, that's, I mean, that's not just how you get gout, but that's, that's common. Now, gout is not like, all I could think of for gout is, I think there was a commercial at one point where someone was carrying around a giant, uh, beaker full of like this green fluid. And that was how they represented.

26:43 ↗

gout in the commercial? Like, we don't want to have this. Well, it affects the metabolism of uric acid. So it causes, causes arthritis in the smaller bones of the feet. And so too much... Yeah, I got a bad case of the gout. Yeah, so I'm just saying mallet finger and gout seem in the same category of descriptor where you might treat both with leeches. That's all I'm saying. We need to get some blood out.

27:08 ↗

I am playing Lamar Jackson over Tayson Hill. Lamar Jackson is taking on the Cleveland Browns. When things go bad for Lamar, you're the quarterback 10, 11, maybe you're 15, 16. When things go bad for Tayson, he's benched, he's broken. We've never seen it go bad for him. As a starter, he's never been outside the top 12 yet. And the Jets, it's going to, now let me paint a picture. Yeah, I mean, you're making compelling arguments. I just worried about the mallet.

27:37 ↗

I mean, unless Lamar's got gout, I think I'm still going Lamar. Alvin Kamara could have two or three rushing touchdowns against the jets and then all of a sudden, Tayson Hill is very, very low. I, if he's practicing in full, I'm not, he played with it midgame, you know, obviously we, we have seen injuries when they swell up later. Maybe they get more severe. Both guys like throwing interceptions. If he's practicing in full all week.
