This-or-That ADP Game + Tough Decisions

is going to be different than somebody else's team in the middle of the draft for a couple reasons. One, the players that you drafted before, the middle of the fourth round, they may dictate which direction you go between these this or that players. Also the other teams in your league and what they've done with their team. So there is a lot of subjectivity in the middle of these drafts, and it's worth debating the merits of these players. And for me, it's Mark Ingram. Now, I want to be clear because much like Jason said, I don't dislike Philip Lindsay. I do think Philip Lindsay...

has the potential for regression this season. Oh, he will. And the reason being, look, he ended the year. You might not remember because of how much fun it was to own him for the duration of the season. He was free, right? He was one of the best waiver-wire pickups in the league. He dominated. He made Roy's Freeman's cry. And he was great. But Philip Lindsay's coming off an injury. He ended the year against two easy rushing defenses and flopped in both of them, hurting your fantasy playoffs. And Roy's Freeman's healthy again.

So I think there's a world where the love of Philip Lindsay pushes him too high in drafts. I want Mark Gringrum. I want to say his name again, though. I don't know what I said. Mark Gringram. Ingraham. Didn't we used to call him Ingram? Ingram and eggs. Something like that. I want Mark Ingram. I think he's barely being talked about because I think he's boring to a lot of people. I think it's boring because fantasy football owners.

look at the Ravens' offense with the boring lens because they see Lamar, but then they see a bunch of players that maybe aren't going to help your fantasy team at the wide receiver core. And I think that he's safer. This is a team that's going to want to run the football. This is a team that has turned players like Alex Collins into fantasy superstars. And the Gus Bus. And the Gus Bus. Don't forget. That was a good ride. He's still there. Yeah.

But I think Mark Ingram is going to get the Rock a ton. They don't pay running backs. They paid him. He came in. He's got juice. I just don't. I just feel like he's much safer at the position. Can I pass on both? You don't want either one. Is that an option? No, I've got Lindsay higher. Jason, you've got Lindsay higher. I'm the only one with Ingram. I got him one spot higher than Lindsay. So I believe in Philip Lindsay. And Andy, I'll be honest, you scare me.

in your Philip Lindsay takes because you were early to the Philip Lindsay train. You rode that. You've been in tune with what the... He got where he needed to go. Yeah. I traded him in Dynasty. Yeah, exactly. You've gotten out from under that now. You follow the Denver News cycle very well. And you are... really exceptional talent. This is a guy who's got sub 4-4 speed. He didn't go to the combine, so he didn't get drafted. It's not that he didn't go. He wasn't invited. Sure. He wasn't invited. He was actually outside. It's like sitting there. I didn't go to Jason's house for dinner. Correct. You didn't go to that dinner, did you? The reality is, the reality is,

He broke into the NFL. He did something that nobody else has done. No disrespect. Being an undrafted guy getting a thousand yards. You talk about the end of the season. It wasn't good for him. But there's, there is such a thing as a rookie wall. And this is a smaller rookie. And he hit it hard. But coming in, I mean, think about it. He was on pace for over 1,200 yards. I think there's touchdown regression coming. But I believe he wins the job. I think he is a really good back with breakaway speed. And he's a good pass catcher. And Flacco has a.

you know, is a checkdown machine. I don't think Mark I'm good. When I compare these two players, I don't think Mark Ingram catches passes here. Agreed. By comparison to what Philipsy can do. There will be other backs in Baltimore. You're right about that. But I don't think any of them are going to represent first and second down challenges the way Royce Freeman will to Philip Lindsay. Royce Freeman, not to be underwhelmed or underwhelming in hype this offseason. This is a guy who ranks like fifth.

in college football history in total yardage? Who's a high draft capital pick? I'm more concerned about. Roy's? Yeah, Roy. I think he's, okay. Whatever. How dare you? He's somewhere in the upper echelon. And the thing is, I just think there is, there's going to be some frustration for Lindsay owners this year when Freeman steals a drive or two or a touchdown or two. And I'm trying to avoid that. Well, look, in general, opposite of Mike, I do believe Philip Lindsay's a good ball player.

I think he's, you know, better than Royce. But the reality is I'm with Mike. If I'm on the clock and those two guys are there, there's a lot of players. Like, I know I'm super bullish on Kenya Drake. But Kenya Drake's going behind both these guys. And I would take Kenya Drake one out of one times. That's 100%. Impressive. Thank you. I don't know what that means. You would take Kenyon Drake. Got it. The question.

for this new coaching staff in Denver is, are they still going to try and force Devante Booker onto the field? Please don't. Like, to your point, Jason, if Phil Lindsay's a good pass catch, Royce can, Royce is okay there as well, but Booker at 51 targets last year. Yeah, get that out of my life. I mean, if we just stop with that insanity, then then Lindsay's going to be a lot safer.

But I'm concerned with the new coaching staff. I'm concerned with the amount of big plays. And I know it's a funny thing to be against those. But when a running back comes in with a, they're over five a carry. But you just, you see when tiny runs and then a huge, huge run that just kind of offset things. That's concerning to me. And again, these debates seem like you love one, you hate one. Right.

They're back, you know, back to back. No, no, no. I hate them both. No, that's fair. That's right. You don't like them. Thank you. Alan Robinson or Robbie Anderson. from weeks 1 through 8 at wide receiver 56. Gross. And this is the best one. You can't skip this one. They have almost inverse names. Alan Robinson, Robbie Anderson. Spooky. Yeah. Because Robinson is Robbie and then Alan is Anderson. Are they even different people? Have we ever seen the Jets play the Bears? No. Historically no. There's a reason why there's no.

weight listed here because I'm guessing Alan Robinson's got 20 on Robbie Anderson. Yeah, it's funny because I don't, I don't, despite all those stats, I don't view these players as very similar. The real question here when you're on the clock and you're debating comes down to two young quarterbacks. Right. And what you believe in their future, right? It plays a big part. It also, I think in part is career arc for these guys. Robbie Anderson.

Yet to break out. Yeah, I would say he's yet to break out. And I think Alan Robinson, like, he's flashed. Robbie Anderson is flashed. Alan Robinson has had breakout seasons. Season. Well, sure. And that's my problem with Alan Robinson in general is I think when you buy Robinson, when you go out and you draft him, you are paying for some expectations that probably don't exist in his range of outcomes anymore.

The injuries that he suffered, the magical season, as it were, was 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns with Blake Bortles. It made him a top 10 draft pick in fantasy drafts. Whereas, you know, I love Robbie Anderson. I love the value on him. He was the wide receiver four in the final four games of the season last year. I love Sam Darnold to have a step forward. Like if we were sitting at breakout picks at the quarterback position individually, like Darnold's in consideration for me.

Okay. I think there's a great opportunity for Sam Darnel. Where do you guys weigh in here? I just have a big gap between them. I'd rather have Robbie Anderson and all that. I want all the Robbie Anderson upside. I have a huge gap here. It's Robbie Anderson would be the pick for me. What you were talking about, Andy, where he entered the season just on an absolute tear. And not just because I'm buying into that really small sample size. I'm buying into Sam Darnold as a good quarterback who.

Once he, I mean, he started off. It was a bit shaky. Donald definitely looked like a rookie out there. He was injured. He was able to then spend that time watching Josh McCount learning about the NFL without having to learn with 300 pound men trying to rip your body into pieces. He was able to learn from the game from there. And you saw a very large shift in the way that he handled the game where early on in the season, Robbie Anderson was.

a fantasy nothing because no field stretching. Because Darnold would not throw the ball down the field. And then maybe the game slowed down a bit and Sam Darnel was just able to read the field of it better. So having said that, it's Robbie Anderson for me between these two guys. But I do want to remind people of, yeah, the Allen Robinson breakout was a while ago, but it's just kind of been this bad stretch of luck because 2017 it was an ACL tear on his

first catch of the season. So that's an entire season completely gone from the history where we don't get to know what he was going to do. Last year was his first year with a new new head coach, a new offense, a very raw quarterback in Mitch Trubisky. And then I reminded you guys before the, before we started the show, is that guys, do you remember that in the playoffs, Alan Robinson went off for 10-143 and 1? Because I did not remember that.

I didn't remember it happening that way. And the game before that, he was at 85 yards. So it's, I don't, I think writing off Alan Robinson at this point would be a stupid thing to do is, is the point I wanted to make for Alan Robinson. He's not ridden off. He's not dead to me. I prefer Robin Anderson. I'm surprised they go in the same place. I'm surprised they're going the same place in drafts. I would have expected Robinson to be higher and not. Based off the name value. Because he might represent.

you know, value as well. Yeah, I expected the exact same. I thought Alan Robinson would always go ahead of Robbie Anderson, but people are down on Alan Robinson, and maybe that provides that value. They're down and they're up on Robbie. Maybe that provides value. You're welcome. I think that the, I trust the Bears offense far more than I trust the Jets offense.

going into 2019. I think the Bears' office is going to be very good. You don't trust the beehole? I don't trust the beehole. I think it's going to be, you know, a slight improvement over last season, but I don't think Sam Donald's taking that huge leap forward this year. All that being said, if we're talking about seventh round picks where there's not a lot of risk here, and I'm swinging for upside, Robbie Anderson, I think, could be the one. And if Sam Donald takes that step forward, like I've got Alan Robbins of two spots ahead in my rankings, but if I'm on the clock and I'm looking at my wide receiver.

you know, four here. And I'm thinking who can really break out and dominate. There's too many mouths to feed for me in Chicago. It's part of why I have Mitch Trubisky a little bit higher is because I think Trey Burton could be that second year system. The same reason I don't like Robinson. Right. It's because I don't think his skills define. They don't force you to Julio Jones him in the office. If he's not available, they will go other places. It reminds me of Alshan Jeffrey.

I think Alshan Jeffrey for the Eagles. He's the number one. He's the number one wide receiver. But is there enough? But they wink when they say it. Yeah, because it's like, well, you've got Zach Hertz. You've got, you know, all these other guys. That's how I see Alan Robinson. So I would go Robbie Anderson if I'm on the clock in the seventh round as well. Sam Donald's just 21. And I wonder if we were a few games away from his Baker second half. Because he ended the year, you know, against Houston.

number three on the week against Green Bay, number seven on the week, two of the last three games of the season. I wonder if we were a few weeks away from seeing. Hope so. And they, you know, it's going to come down to the same thing that you guys bring up about Lev Bell a little bit, the offensive line. They added a simile from Oakland. You hope that their offensive line, it makes an improvement both for Lev's sake and for Darnold's sake because, you know, he has mistake prone. He's a fumbler. He's had issues from going back to college.
