you know, the quarterback ones. And he does not have a great wide receiving core. I love Devante Smith. I think he's going to be a good NFL wide receiver, but he is a rookie. And outside of him, it's a hodgepodge of nonsense. And it looks like right now Zach Hertz might be back, which just possibly hurts his receiving core. It's funny because Jalen Rager, I saw Kyle shared this stat where like his first reception in Target. Oh, it was a bomb. Was a 55 yard. Oh, 50.

170 passages55-yard catch, which also equaled the most yards he had in a game. The most yards he had in the game was 55 yards, which was the first catch of his career. Yeah, it was a brutal start career for rigor. If you want some balanced perspective on Hertz in terms of our rankings, Mike is the highest at 7th, Jason down at 10. I'm at 13. I know that this was a discovery process for all of us when we did our projections and where we thought Hertz would end up.
And I just don't think the three games we saw were enough to know everything that you're going to get. I mean, in terms of like taking those three games and projecting them over 17. Of course. You can't just extrapolate all those things. But what you can take from those three games is that Jalen Hertz has incredible rushing ability. No question. A rushing quarterback is a cheat code for fantasy football.
Since 1975, we've seen a quarterback eclipse 125 plus rushing attempts nine times. And all of those nine, or all but once, those quarterbacks were top 12 quarterbacks. Yeah, I think even with me having them at 13, if I think you told me today that Jalen Hurst is the quarterback for 17 straight weeks, I have to move him to my top 10. Like there's no choice. And he's got, what do you believe about Devonte Smith? How good do you think he is actually going to be?
as a professional because in college, I mean, he was the best. He was the best. He was dominant. So you add him to the team. The fact that, like, I know it was, it didn't work out for Jalen Rager, but Rager was a first round pick who got hurt and was in a really bad situation. So it.
People have definitely buried him too much. Yeah, and they're going to move, I believe they're going to move him into the slot. So he could have a, he should face easier competition when it comes to defensive backs, which could be a better situation for him. And all of a sudden, you have, you have an offense. Let's not forget Travis Fulgum, gentlemen. Oh, well, the team has, the team has. You got a no one to hold him, no one to Fulgum. Oh, man. That three weeks stretched was great. Did we bring up Greg Ward?
Well, help me involved. He actually will. Dallas Goddard right now is our tight end. Yeah, and the tight end seven off the board. I've had the hardest time deciding whether I like Goddard or Higby more this year. You and me are in sync on these tight ends. Oh, are we? Yeah. 100%. I'm always between those guys. I literally had, last week, I moved some projections around because I saw Goddardt just better than Higby. And then like two days later, Higby's just better than Goddard. I mean, it really comes down to whether or not Zach Hurch is part of this team. Because right now it looks like he will be. It does look that way.
If he is, that really is a shame for Goddard's breakout potential. If Ertz is cut or traded, which he couldn't be traded, nobody's trading for him. But if he is cut to save money, then I think Goddard has a legit chance to break out. And unlike my, you know, I've got Hawkinson ranked above Goddard, but I don't want to spend a fifth for Hawkinson. It gets to seventh round and, you know, Dallas Goddard's there. I'm willing to.
to spin that capital. Circling back to Devanta Smith real quick, would you take him at his current ADP, which is the late seventh round, wide receiver 35? Yeah, it's 712, so late 7, early 8. It's risen, like his ADP has gone up a lot. A lot. And it's going to continue. You know, if he has a decent camp, you're not going to get him here. No, you're not. And, um...
But that's why at the current ADP, I would certainly take them. Can you do like, is this like a rate lock for a mortgage company? Can we just rate lock these players at their ADPs like in June 23rd? I got locked on an 801 for Devonza Smith. Yeah, he talked to Steve. He locked me in 801. Give him to me. He's not yours. Yeah, that'll be fun to watch. Starts against Atlanta in Atlanta, then San Francisco and in Dallas.
Always remember two against Dallas, two against the Giants. Yeah. That's nice. Yeah, the two against Washington might be tougher, but I got you. I omitted those. Yeah. All right. This is a big question, though, because I think we will not answer the same team. Who wins the division? I've got Dallas. Washington. I have Dallas because of Fitzpatrick. He finds a way to not win the division. All right. The toughest player to project in the entire division. Mike? I am?
I'm going to go Miles Sanders. Oh, man. How much will they use him? How often? Family feud style. Good answer. Good answer. It's Miles Sanders for me as well. Because we might be undervaluing him. RB21 off the board right now. Yeah. For me, it's probably Miles Sanders. And also Ryan Fitzpatrick. Sure. Like his, his ADP of quarterback 25, like, he's going to finish above that. Look, I.
I think Jalen Hertz fits into that hard to project player because if Philadelphia's win total holds true, right, and you're the worst team in the division. This is what I had a problem with Gardner Minshue with last year. It wasn't that the player's good. It's that when you have a bunch of all the parts falling apart all around you, it's really hard to get through the season unscathed. And I think if Hertz does, he's great. If he doesn't.
there's a lot of people that are counting on him to be the next Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, late round, steal. And that could be. And he could be. He could be, yeah. And the situation, like, he was a rookie last year, right? Correct. So, I mean, this is a second round pick. Rookie, three games played, basically. It's a second round pick quarterback who's played three games. So I think you're going to see a good bit of Jalen Hertz. Oh, you will. And I wonder what the defenses will do.
Seeing a guy for three games, Gardner went and set the league on fire for a little while. It will be interesting how people adjust and whether he runs as much. Maybe he doesn't have to with Devonsa Smith. Sneaky player for 2021 out of this division. Jalen Rager certainly is a sneaky guy that is getting absolutely no love. But I'm going to throw it because I didn't get to chime in on him. Curtis Samuel, he's not sneaky.
But I think he's a little sneaky at his ADP. Jason's over here. I didn't get to chime in. Jason intentionally did not chime in on Curtis Samuel because he's hit his quota mentally already. Let's just leave it there. Yeah. Michael Gallup. Okay. And I would say Blake Jarwin. Okay. I almost went Blake Jarwin. All right. One final divisional show left. The NFC North. That'll be coming out on Tuesday.
My goodness, we've almost made it through. So I'm sure Aaron Rogers will have lost. He's going to make a decision. He'll make a decision for us. You guys saw the Adams news of that the talks on the contract have gone sour. Maybe they're a package deal? They usually are. That's what Adams is like, okay, I've also got this line down here. You guarantee Aaron Rogers as my quarterback. Scary stuff. Milwaukee.
