Mike's three-touchdown Triforce restores every My Guy

Mike celebrates TreVeyon Henderson's three touchdowns in dark glasses and party lights, calls the season a possible greatest My Guy reclamation, and joins the desk in declaring that they are never wrong, only early.

moment

Jason's tight-end trades carry the opposite-Midas curse

Jason trades for and starts Oronde Gadsden, prompting the hosts to say his acquired tight ends get injured, call the move a kiss of death, and invent an opposite Midas whose touch turns everything to poop.

moment

Candy Land's chocolate monster is ruled doodoo

The tight-end poop curse sends the desk to the Candy Land chocolate monster, which they reject as chocolate, identify as doodoo, and use to imagine a high-stakes professional Candy Land circuit.

Two Kenneth Walker touchdowns would make Mike levitate

When the desk tries to add Kenneth Walker to Mike's happy week, Mike says they are trying to knock him off his cloud. The hosts conclude that two Walker touchdowns would make Mike levitate from his chair.

Owl prepares for Jason to lose sight, breath, or life

After Jason made the office think he perished earlier in the week, Owl unusually asks for his lineup in advance. Jason interprets this as preparation for losing the ability to see, read, or breathe, and the desk predicts food poisoning from old tenderloin.

Henderson temporarily removes Mike's resting angry face

Andy describes seeing Mike glowing happily during the drive in and says Mike normally has a resting angry face, but not after Henderson's three-touchdown game.

Confidence underpants gain an unattainium upgrade

A risky Tyler Lockett and Tre Tucker recommendation is protected by imaginary unattainium underpants, extending the established confidence-underpants vocabulary.

Wheel of Shame seals Jason inside the PEACE OUT hand

Jason spins the physical Wheel, lands on PEACE OUT, receives a plate of fake Salisbury steak or tenderloins, and pulls a giant beige plush peace-sign hand over his whole head. Unable to see and barely able to breathe through tiny slits, he finishes Fantasy Faceoff from memory, predicts he will not survive sixty seconds, asks about dangerous carbon dioxide, and calls it his final show.

summary

Episode notes

Complete transcript review plus a full low-resolution storyboard and targeted opening and Wheel-of-Shame frame reviews show Andy, Jason, and Mike as the only people at the main desk. Mike opens in dark sunglasses and asks for party lights after TreVeyon Henderson scores three touchdowns; the desk calls the three-score celebration his Triforce, then Mike describes a possible greatest-ever midseason My Guy reclamation and revives the maxim that he is never wrong, only early. Jason's decision to trade for and start Oronde Gadsden produces a separate curse: the hosts say tight ends get injured after Jason trades for them, call it a kiss of death, and imagine an opposite Midas whose touch turns everything to poop. That becomes a Candy Land argument in which the chocolate monster is declared visually to be doodoo and high-stakes professional Candy Land is proposed. Mike's Kenneth Walker attachment resurfaces when an ordinary start/sit comparison is framed as an attempt to knock him off his happy cloud; the hosts say two Walker touchdowns would make Mike levitate from his chair. Jason's coming punishment is foreshadowed when Owl asks for his Fantasy Faceoff lineup early in case Jason cannot see, read, or breathe, after Jason had made the office think he perished earlier in the week. Mike, meanwhile, loses his usual resting angry face and visibly glows after Henderson's game. The established confidence-underpants idea returns as unattainium underpants for risky Tyler Lockett and Tre Tucker starts. Jason then spins the physical Wheel of Shame and lands on PEACE OUT. An offscreen hand brings a plate of fake Salisbury steak or tenderloins, followed by a giant beige plush peace-sign hand that Jason pulls over his entire head. Direct frames verify that it covers his face and rises in two enormous fingers; dialogue establishes no usable eyeholes, tiny slits, and an ineffective breathing opening. Jason completes Fantasy Faceoff from memory, says he can barely breathe and is ready to pass out, takes the under on surviving sixty seconds, asks how much carbon dioxide is bad, and calls it his final show. Jeremy is mentioned as both Owl and Al Borland but never receives a distinct live shot or voice in this video; Kyle is asked for a statistic but gives no verified reply. No Jay Griz name, cue, cutout, bear prop, fourth host, or substitution appears. The Wheel dialogue's shortened 'Jay' directly addresses visible Jason and is not Jay Griz.

for someone who has been producing of late. It's there. It's nasty, but it's worse. Parker, Washington or Michael Wilson? I think that's a good question. I would go. I'd go Parker. I'm not going to go away from that target totals. I think I'm going to Michael Wilson there. The injury on Parker scares me. Luther Burdener, Michael Wilson. Wilson. Okay. Yeah. The. Trey McBide's story has been great. Ricky Pearsall, how confident would you be to throw him back out there? I'd be nervous. I'd be nervous, but I would do it immediately. I think that's exactly where I am. Wow. So you would bench Jennings? Yeah. For Pearsall? Yeah, I would. Okay. George Kittle, keep it going. CMC, he's only on pace for 459 op opportunities. Oh, no.

27:54 ↗

That's going to, he just keeps going. You better be sleeping in some sort of mystical chamber right now. 459 opportunities. He's built differing. Are you? You can't do that. He is still a human. Like, yes. Yeah, certainly. Oh, man. But this is their. It's going to be turning to mince meat. Yeah, I mean, they just haven't had anybody else to lean on. Yeah. No, I think, I think this team really does need Pearsall. Pearsall was. I believe he was leading the league in yards, receiving yards per game. He was, yeah. And so, yeah, he was leading the league when his first three weeks, yeah. But it was only a three week, three week sample before the injury. So, and the thing with Pearsall, Shanahan says he's going to play. I wouldn't put him in your lineup on Friday afternoon and walk away. I would. Because of Shannon Hannigan's? Correct. Like, I put it at high, high odds he's going to play. I'm just saying with the way that San Francisco does.

28:54 ↗

Oh, oh no. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. Wait a minute. What are you doing? You don't have to do this. I'm just hitting the button. Just hitting the button. Huh. It's been a minute. Okay. By the way, are you going to care about Brock Purdy as a fantasy player before the end of the year? Yes or no? Yes. Okay. Baltimore, four and five, Cleveland, two and seven, the Vegas line, Baltimore minus Cardinals. Seven and a half? Sir. The over under is 38.5. At least I'm getting the reaction I need for it to be right. I just, that's a, that's a, it's a hefty amount of pain. Here's, do you want the argument or no? Sure. The argument is the pass rush for the 49ers is the worst in football since they lost Nick Bosa. They don't put pressure on the quarterback. And if you don't put pressure on Jacoby Brissette, he dices people up. That's what he's done. So, and I have confidence in the Cardinals defense. You got Brock Pretty coming back from an injury.

29:58 ↗

I think dice enough. I think they'll do enough. You guys don't have to believe. No, no, no. I recognize the sorcerer. But I'm saying can they dice enough with Michael Wilson and Greg Dorch? Don't forget Xavier Weaver. Oh, yeah, yeah. The guy this year when we saw him on the field, we went, who is that? Yeah. I mean, they've diced. As Cardinal fans, as professional football analyst who live in Arizona, Cardinals fan. I've never heard of this guy. With all due respect, he has diced without Marvin Harrison in some of those games. Two of the games where he diced up the defense, guess what the total yardage was for Harrison. 32 and 58. They still at least have to pay attention to Marv, though. Even if he doesn't get the ball. Hey, look, look. I hit the button. This will be a fun one. Where I've already introduced the next game. Baltimore, four and five, Cleveland two and seven, Baltimore minus seven and a half on the road over under just 38. Gives Baltimore enough points, but not Cleveland. 15 and a half there.

30:56 ↗

Let's start with the Cleveland side. Baltimore smushed them, 4117 in week two. Lamar is going to play. He is playing well. The other side there, Quinch on Judkins against the world is what it feels like. Yeah. And the Ravens defense in the last six weeks, Jason? Very good. So much better. I mean, they are shutting down the run. Quarterbacks aren't doing much better. Mike brought this up a couple weeks ago talking about how. Early in the year with all the injuries to the Ravens defense and when they were losing most of their games, just anyone could do anything they want. They went to their buy, they came back. They got healthier and they also schematically just changed things. They've really been locked down. And I don't expect the Browns with Gillen Daybriol, as you would say. As I call him. I don't expect them to be the ones to revert Baltimore to a bad defense. So yeah, I mean, it's quench on Judkins.

31:52 ↗

And I think that's it. I'm not sure I even want to start Harold Fanon, who is awesome. You know, I think that's it, like just Judkins. I just took a quick look in our League of Record if Jerry Judy was rostered. Is he? Oh, yeah, that guy back there. That's the Judy manager back there. I just picked him up on waivers. Oh, did you really? Is he in your lineup? Yep. Okay. All right. You and I. That's how bad it's going for last year's champ. uh gill and abriel's gonna have to throw that ball a lot well i did see one other person had a claim on jerry judy this week oh no oh no who was it jason you care to fess up oh jason's four oh oh jerry judy no earlier in the week i had no player to marry him so i you're

32:48 ↗

You're under the bus too. No, no, no. He did. He had two by week situations. He told me he had like Calvin Austin in his lineup. Yeah. And I made trades and I fixed my lineup because I would never. The Baltimore side you love Lamar. You play Derek Henry, but do you really want to mess around with tight ends when you know Andrews and likely are both going to be kind of tight end or bust situations? They flowers. They are one top 24. But they're always tight end. So I don't think they'll bust. If it's tight end or bust, they're always going to be a tight end. You meant touchdown or bust, idiot. I did. I didn't mean touchdown or butt. Did I say tight end or buzz? Yes, you did. Okay, that was pretty dumb. Zayflowers, though, one top 24 finish. I wonder if you'd play him or D.K. McCaff against Sincey in that high over under. Yeah, it.

33:38 ↗

This is my everlasting, every week struggle. Oh, yeah, you have both those dudes. Zay Flowers or D.K. Metcalfe. D.K.F. is in my lineup right now, just based off of game script. You want pieces of that Pittsburgh game. I know what will happen because is D.K. Metcrap, but... Process-wise, it still says I'm going to play him. Yeah, you usually love playing guys against Cincinnati. That's just try to play. You do. You do. Try to play people against Cincinnati and against the Cowboys. And don't watch. Try it with the home. Metcalf against, he was three for 50 last time. Against Cincinnati. 100 billion dollars, multiple draft picks, three for 50 against the world's worst defense. Unbelievable.

34:33 ↗

Candy diet. Kansas City, five and four. Denver, eight and two in Denver. Kansas City favored by three and a half on the road here. No respect, right? Eight and two division leader. Denver is over under 44. Denver's not been playing good on one side of the ball. I mean, their defense is absolutely outstanding. They're shutting people down. They are winning ball games for them. But I mean, they, you know, the last two weeks. You're talking about putting up 18 points and 10 points. The Chiefs have a higher point differential at 5 and 4 than the 8 and 2 Denver Broncos. That's wild. The Chiefs we know are much better than 5 and 4, and I think we know that Denver's not an 8 and 2 team. And no disrespect to them. They are an 8 and 2 team, but I just mean from a threat standpoint right now, they are a little bit like Philly and the fact that they have a good record, but you want to see their offenses play better.

35:31 ↗

Weird because he's not getting pressured. He's pressuring himself. Yeah. He's getting out of the pocket too soon. He's throwing on the run for no reason. He's only completing 61% of his passes despite being pressured the least in football. If you want to know what the wise guys think of Kansas City, they are currently the betting favorite for the Super Bowl. It makes sense. It's like what a wild world we had. Were those first three weeks, you're like, holy crap. Is it done? Or the Kansas City Chiefs, has it finally hit a point where they can be stopped? And now they're five and four, and they're the favorites to win the whole league. Mahomes on pace for 4,400 yards and 32 passing touchdowns. It has been very nice to have Rashi Rice back on this offense. We're not sure if Worthy will be out there. He's been limited in practice this week, and he's only got one top 24 finish. If he was out, is there a dart throw you care about? Probably not against Denver. Probably not.

36:30 ↗

It'll be Thornton for me, but no. Now, you're going to have Kareem Hunt all alone, pretty much, starting for Kansas City, but it's against, again, the Denver defense. RB2? Yeah. Yeah, that's fair. He's been, he was RB11 and RB16 last week. You know, last week was the No Pacheco, 78% of the snaps. Only 13 opportunities, but high likelihood of scoring. Is it going to be Harvey and Badee only? Or are we going to get a third? Is McLaughlin still on that roster? Yeah, he might be involved. But we had some more Sean Payton talking about Harvey. I'll talk about Pat Bryant, which was nice. But Harvey is like, this is it. This is his, this is it. This is his, his Trevion opportunity. Archie Harvey's a good player. And he's excellent in the receiving game as well. And I think that's where.

37:27 ↗

He's going to have to be utilized this week. What are your thoughts on Cortland Sutton? Would you rather start Cream Hunt or RJ Harvey in this game? They both have the injury ahead of them. Wow. They're both playing tough defenses. I'm on the RJ Harvey side. I think I'm on the Harvey side, yeah. Three of our top 20 most popular starts hit questions involve Harvey. Harvey or Kamani Vidal is number four. I'd go Vidal. Harvey or Rashad White is number eight. I'd go Harvey. I'm okay. Going Harvey there. Harvey or Woody Marks is also on there. I'd go Harvey. I think it's Harvey there. And then a flex question, Jameson Williams or RJ Harvey. Harvey. Wow. I think I'm in on Harvey this one. Okay. You think? I think it's like a 44.5 point over under two good defenses. I think that's the only threat to all of this production is that you get into one of those 16-15 type of games. You know, I'm definitely worried about Cortland Sutton. He's only averaged three receptions per game. Honestly, Sutton has been basically Denver Metcalf. Yeah.

38:28 ↗

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nice. It's been the case. Not enough work, not enough touchdowns. On the season, he has been much better than D.K. Metcalfe, like through the first seven weeks, you had two extremely disappointing games and five games where you were very, very happy. But the trend of, like the trend of six targets going to your number one guy who's got the money, it. It makes no sense. Well, the catch percentage has been down to because Bo Nix has been one of the most inaccurate, intermediate passers. The last three games, if you plot that out for Sutton over the year, it's not impressive. It's 45 for 600. Now, like, if my confidence that Sutton gets it going over the second half versus DK is heavily on the Cortland Sutton side. Okay. All right. Travis Kelsey. Sure. Just play him. Yeah. Yeah.

You know, when I said fantasy face off before the break, Jason gave me a little look. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like he knew. I didn't even know who it is. Who is it this week? Well, oh, is it? I don't know. It was a tie between Jason and I. Yeah. We went down. Our tiebreakers were insane. So close. Because like I missed my two by one catch and then I think four passing yards. I was seven total yards away from hitting everything. So you guys should have just hit everything like I did. So the, yeah, it's going to this week. It's a lot more fun when you do.

41:13 ↗

But so the tiebreaker just was that Jason made us think that he had perished. I'm worried about this show. He was in a better place technically. I'm worried about this one. Romeo Dobbs would agree. Because I got in and owl asked me for my lineup, which he does not ask the person. Oh, no, did you? Yeah, he's like, hey, can you just in case? Yeah, just in case, in case what, in case I can't see, read, breathe. We'll find out. Stay tuned. Nice. Oh, the irony of thinking you were dead on Tuesday and maybe killing you on Friday. You're just going to give me a piece of old tenderloin. Eat it. Food poisoning. Before we jump, we're in the Sunday night game. We're about to be. I just guys. Remember when Henderson had three touchdowns last night? The pure real joy is amazing. You had such a good night, Mike.

42:15 ↗

Oh, man. I'm happy, man. I'm happy for you. That was the best. Oh, my God. After the two, it was like, oh, I pulled. I was, I was driving next to Mike on the, on the drive-in. And we were, I was matching his speed. He didn't see me for a little while. And I looked over and I saw a happy person. I just saw a glow, a glow. He has no resting angry face. He always has a resting angry face. Not today. Not today, baby. It was, uh, it was impressive. All right, Detroit. Six and three, Philly, seven and two. Here we go in Philly. This is a fun one. Sunday night football, this will be great. Philly minus two and a half, over under 46.5. It's a pretty important game in terms of the NFC playoff picture. The Detroit games this year, we've been, we've loved them. I mean, they have been the third most points per game in the league in terms of combined total points in Detroit games.

43:10 ↗

I do think Philadelphia, we've said this this week. I've made my efforts to trade for him. It didn't work. I do think A.J. Brown's going to get it going over the second half of the year. Jason, you made him your start of the week because of your confidence in A.J. Brown, the Lions defense, you know, I think you can beat them for some big plays here. So Devante Smith, A.J. Brown, I play them with confidence. Lyons giving up 32 fancy points a game to wide receivers. So it's not very complicated from a start-sip perspective in this game. Hurt's Barkley. Play the big two wide outs. You can dance with Goddard if you want to dance with the devil. Yeah. Would you rather have someone like Otten where you're a little bit more confident in the involvement? Yeah. Goddard's going to be high in the rankings because he's been getting it done. But in terms of just the chance of a big whiff,

44:08 ↗

Like a big swing and a miss, it's more on the Goddard side than on. I don't know the exact number. Maybe Kyle has it, but Jamir Gibbs is on the cusp of breaking like a total rushing touchdown record at his age. I think it's very, very close. He's been awesome. Three touchdowns last week. You know. It's amazing to break a record like that or be near a record like that when you're in a committee. It's also amazing to be near a record like that when you're in a committee and you're an undersized back. This isn't Derek Henry. Touchdowns are the goal line, big body, bruising guy. And this is like the little speedster. Yeah, he gets listed at a weight that I don't agree with. Weird. Too high or too low? Too low. You think he is no longer 200 pounds. No, he's not 200 pounds. No, he's not 200 pounds.

44:56 ↗

He's probably 215. He's a very spelt young man. I'm on raw. Of course. Gibbs, of course. Laporta, I think you need to monitor the back limitations and practice this week. But if he's active, I'm okay. You know, if you've been playing him, I'm okay with it. But Jamo, he's been heating up. They've been getting him the ball closer to the line of scrimmage. Yeah, yeah. His A dot has been. much different as of recent, you know, the past two games compared to the way that the game or the season started for him, which that will turn into a much safer Jameson Williams with ceiling. So the- The yardage has been up there the last two weeks. I think the difference is real. The fact that it was talked about and then they put it into action. And now we're at two weeks. NBA-jam rules are- Was that conversation about, did that happen during the buy?

45:55 ↗

I think so. So coming out of the buy much better. Yeah, and then last week, obviously, the play calling change where Dan Campbell took it over. So he's actually, you know, facilitating what he wants to have happen. Gives you a little bit more confidence in Jameson. I still don't see him as a must start simply because he's got, you know, two good games in a row. Would you play Metcalf or Jameson? I'd play Jameson. I think I would go Matt Calfe there against Cincinnati. Yeah, it's actually, I'm looking at our starts hit tool right now. We have them ninth. and 24. So Metcalf is in the lead right now just because that matchup is so juicy. And the overrunner is a little higher. They're favored. But it's close. And if you've been burnt, like if you've been burnt by Metcalf a bunch of weeks in a row, I don't blame you for mixing it up here. Because I think the Sunday night game is going to be pretty fun. We have a Monday night game between Dallas at 3.5 and 1 in the Las Vegas Raiders, who are 2 and 7. Vegas line Dallas minus 3.5. The overrunner is 50 and a half. I...

46:52 ↗

have gotten the impression via Twitter and insert sit tool and this office and other people's lineups that I've seen. There is a surprising amount of relying upon the Raiders going on for this week. Yeah. It's really relying upon the Cowboys defense. Right, which I do, I recognize has been a really, really good bet, but also a good bet has been anti-Geno. Yeah. So I do, I think you are still. You're playing your odds right that they should be able to have some success. It's nice that they're out home. It's nice that Dallas can't play defense. But you're still playing some roulette, right? Of course. You're still, I mean, to have Brock Bowers come from the week he had off the injury dominant to a catch, that is the Gino roulette, right? And when you are now mixing in not established wideouts like Trey Tucker or Jack Bess or Thornton and established but retiring Tyler Lockett.

47:51 ↗

It does add some fear into your brain. These are not, these are lower probability plays, but it, this week, if you need someone, I both, both lock it. I mean, I, I, I strapped on the, the, the, the, the, the, uh, the unattainium underpants for Tyler Lockett and Trey Tucker. They're both in play. The two weeks ago, the first week back with Brock Bowers, that was against Jacksonville. Like, Good defense, but beatable. Then it was on the road against Denver. That one is like, you understand. You expect more from Brock Bowers each and every week, but it at least makes sense. And now you're at home against Dallas. I am facing Trey Tucker in a matchup. Oh, that. I am. That has to be hilariously terrifying. I am simultaneously happy and afraid. Yes. I'm like, cool. I'm playing against Trey Tucker. Also. Yeah.

48:48 ↗

He scored three times earlier this year. Yeah, this is a, it's going to be really, really cool to see because Dallas has added defensive pieces. They had a buy week to implement it. So they're coming off the buy and they're getting a mediocre at best offense to face in the Raiders. And so we're going to learn a lot this week because if Gino goes out and looks great and Trey Tucker has a good game and Lockett's fine and Bowers's then delicious, delicious. The Cowboys still stink. If the Cowboys are able to go from historically bad defense to me defense, which would be terrible, we'll find out this week. They gave up 27 against Arizona, but they did sack Jacoby five times. Yeah, it will be, you're right. We'll find out this week. Las Vegas, they can't pressure you right now. And Dak, your start of the week, Lamb Pickens, Giovante, Ferguson, are we just?

49:46 ↗

Yeah, you're playing your cowboys. We did get the official word that Dalton Kincaid has been ruled out for week 11. We thought that was coming, but that Khalil Shakir's ankle is, quote, in a good spot. It's probably where all of our ankles are. According to head coach, Sean McDermott, expect to see him out there. All right? I don't think we have any other updates, do we? I don't see. Tyler Lockett was limited on Thursday, but they're the Monday night game. So that's his Wednesday practice. But still pay attention due to him being ready for ARP. Yes. All right. Have a good weekend, everybody. No, sorry. Fantasy Face Off, presented by prize picks. Well, Jason's got a little fear going on right now. He gets to spin it. Wheel of Shame.

50:54 ↗

All right, let's see. So close last week. Mustaches on the wheel. Oh, gosh, please. Please just be a razor. Make him. Oh, that would be so good. Ah, rainy day. Peace out. Oh, like you. Like you did on. Yeah, like I did. Oh my gosh. What? He's bringing me a plate. You got a plate of tinderloins here. Oh, my gosh. What is this raw beef? Salisbury steak. Oh, these look disgusting. It's a little disgusting. These aren't real. No, those are real. Okay. I was like, do I have to eat? That's a prop. Oh, man. What's real is your piece out mask? Oh, yeah, I won't see anything. Yeah, we'll read your line up for you there, Jay. You pieced out on us. We'll piece out on you. Okay. Kind of looks like rabbit ears. A little bit. I thought at first. What in the world is that thing? Oh, my gosh. That's the finger. There's not even holes. There's no holes.

51:44 ↗

There's slits. There's no. We need to stay on Jason's camera. Oh my gosh. Why in the world is that? There's, I can barely breathe. You've got a breath hole. Oh, I think it only lets hair out. Oh, peace out. Oh, yeah. I will be piecing out. All right. We better get through the, have a tenderloin. All right. Quarterback. No, no. I'm going Joe Flacco. Oh, baby. I love it. more than 262.5 passing. Oh, I love it. I'm going, this is gross. I'm going Geno Smith. Okay. I'm taking more than whatever his projection was because 223 and a half passing yards. You said receiving yards, but yes, passing here. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I like that. I'm going back to the well on this one. We got.

52:35 ↗

That is sensational. At first, at first I really thought it was on middle finger. Did you? I thought we were just going straight bird. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, oh. We got Gillen Dabriel. Oh, okay. That's going to be a less. Yeah. No, you're thinking the wrong direction. Okay. 32 and a half passing attempts. Oh. Okay. So we were, we're going to go the more on. All right. He's going to have to throw the ball like 30 times in the second half. My running back this week, Jacori Kroski Merritt. Oh, that's a less. Hold on, hold on. I don't have a good vibe here. This dude has not been getting it done. I think the other guys are going to get more work. 32.5 rushing yards. I'm taking the less. That's his projection. It is. I'm going. And he's been under that a lot. I'm going to go with one that I like.

53:31 ↗

This is probably the one I like the most this week. It is Chase Brown. Oh, I already like it. I believe it's 19 and a half receiving yards. That is correct. And I'm going more than that. I like it. He's been crushing that with. No, that's a good one. I was able to jump in on this one a bit earlier on the week. We got R.J. Harvey, ladies and gentlemen, two and a half receptions.
