And he can still start for this. What has happened? He now needs six weeks of consecutive practice to be able to get back in. Lamar Jackson is what has happened. They set the timeline so it's not even possible. Right. Like how many weeks left this season? Six. He needs seven straight weeks of practice. Yeah. Oh, I'm so sorry, Joe. You've just run out of time. Well, look. It looks like we're going to make the playoffs eight straight weeks of strength. It's out of my control, Joe. There's nothing I can do for you. You can start Lamar Jackson.

13:52 ↗

Against the Falcons. And you can start them with a big old smile on your face. Yes, you can. Leonard Fornett's appeal of the one game suspension was D9. Shocking news. Jason no longer, or he does not have to wear a dress on the podcast because sanity has ruled. And then you'll be really excited about this, Jason. I didn't know I couldn't do that. Yes. Lions worked out veteran running back C.J. Anderson. Oh, yeah. He's already dead.

14:21 ↗

Oh, I don't like that at all for carry-on. Oh, this is a depth. It's just a depth. I know, but I don't want them even thinking about death. You do not have to worry about Carion Johnson. Oh, you mean for like his health? Yes. Not like a threat to his carry. Just like indicative of long-term health. Yeah. I guess that. He might be done for a year. Well, I'm not necessarily. Or maybe at least a few weeks. Well, do you realize that the remainder of the year is a few weeks? Well, by few, I mean two to three.

14:50 ↗

But that's why you see so many players going on IR now is because there isn't much time left. So it's like, you know, if you don't think carry-ons, you want to bring carry-on back for week 16 for no reason? Same AJ Green logic behind that team. I don't want to hear that. I don't think carry-ons coming back. I don't want to hear that. You got to carry on, man. Carry on without him. All right. That's it for the news and notes unless Brooks has something to throw in. Anything really exciting? Newsy? News and notes from your daily life. Give us the best news you got, Brooks.

15:19 ↗

Let's get you ready for week 13. That's some huge matchups. I got one in our league. Brooks and I head to head. If I beat him by enough points, I'll get them by. If he beats me and things don't go the right way, he can knock me out of the playoffs. That's what you call a big. That's a match. A big fantasy matcha.

18:47 ↗

What were you going to say, Brooks? We're going to say some... That's what I should have brought up. Oh, our matchup? Yeah. Oh, yeah. I thought he was going to trash talk. I really did. I thought I'd get one of them Wild West threats. Like, I'm going to beat you this week. As I keep saying, I'm against Gurley and Pamahomes. I'm not trash talking good. That's his trash talk is I probably won't win. Anything can happen. There you go. Thank goodness for that. All right.

19:15 ↗

Let's jump into a voicemail question. If you have a voicemail our hotline 302-464 TFFB or you can go to the website, the fantasy footballers.com, click the submitted question button. Why do you think they called it a hotline to begin with? Because the calls are coming in hot. Really? Is that what it was? Well, actually, back in the days of Alexander Graham Bell, little known fact, the earpiece would actually get.

19:43 ↗

incredibly hot you could only spend 30 seconds on the phone really no that's not true andy it might be that's i want uh you should have a podcast with it might be science yes that's what it's called say thing it might be science it could be true look i'm not a scientist but but i love it most of jupiter is made from cotton candy it might be all right voicemail question

20:12 ↗

Hey guys, this is Nick from Indianapolis. A big fan of the show. Just had a question for you guys. Who do you guys like better in the stretch run for the fantasy playoffs? Kenny Goliday or Robert Woods? Just kind of in a little bit of a little bit of a spot there between those two guys. So just kind of wanted to know what you guys thought. Thanks. I'm going camping in the woods. Because Robert Woods is clearly... Wait, wait. I get the crickets and Jason doesn't for that?

20:42 ↗

That does fit the camping moniker too. Oh, that's true. Crickets, I'll accept crickets for the beautiful camping setting. It's not a good thing. No, we're wonderfully camping. Look at those stars. I'm going camping with Robert Woods. Look, if you put Robert Woods and Kenny G and you put them both on the Rams, I'll take Kenny G. But I'm taking Robert Woods because the ability for that team to be shut down offensively and the importance to Robert Woods to that offense.

21:08 ↗

It's heavily on the Robert Wood's side. Does anybody disagree with that? No, Robert Woods is a top 10 wide receiver almost every single week in rankings. He will be that way the rest of season. He is firmly on your starting roster. Yeah, he's in, he has not been below 70 receiving yards since week one. That's incredible. That's, that's an awesome floor. This week.

21:37 ↗

For what it's worth. And our rankings go up on Tuesday. They get modified probably 50 times a day. Yeah. But is there a word? Like I wanted to say hourly, but it's, it's like minutely. Is there? Yeah, it's minutely. That's the worst. Yeah. They get updated practically on a minutely basis. But Robert Woods right now is at number nine in my rankings, Gala, is at 14 for this week. And they are lucky enough to play each other this week. So.

22:06 ↗

There you go. Next voicemail question. Hey, ballers. This is Tim from Oklahoma. I'm in a PPR, two-flex league, and I have Matt Breed, Mark Ingram, and Kenny Galaday. I need to start two for the playoffs. So which should I pick? Thanks, bye. That was Breedah Goladee, and I missed. Breda Goladee and Mark Ingram. Mercy. Those are good problems to have.

22:36 ↗

I mean, Ingram is the one that has more variability to me. That's what scares me. He can give you a great game. He can disappear. It can be factored out. He can be Alvin Camarid. Yeah. I've got, I've got Brita ahead of him, and I think Holliday is safe because of the volume and the matchups. To me, I would bench Ingram out of those three. Yeah, I'm with you. I agree.

23:03 ↗

All right, this got a couple of questions here. You know, we like to answer questions that aren't just start sit or, you know, rest of season questions, but also ones that affect your league and how you strategize and what you do as a commissioner. And so people are asking a lot of questions regarding playoff teams in their activity or the non-playoff teams, rather. What is your advice? This one comes in from Instagram, JMC George, 5.

23:31 ↗

What would your advice be for people that are not in the playoffs? And then a similar question, if you want to roll it all in together from Twitter, Jeff asks, what are your thoughts on people who are four and eight and still making waiver claims? Those are the owners that I want in my league. Yeah. If they are four and eight or one and eleven, you should be out there making waiver moves. You should be trying to pick up the best pieces. This is not like a...

23:58 ↗

Well, that's not allowed. I'm in the playoffs. I should get all the good guys. No, this is the same league that you're competing in the whole year. You want active owners. Spoil the riches for others. Yeah. I mean, imagine in the NFL if they went over to the other locker and they said, hey, guys, you're out of the playoff run. So you're just, you have to play your second string team against us. You guys suck. There's nothing you can do about it.

24:27 ↗

You play to win, man. It's an essence of competition. It's going to happen. There's going to be years where you don't make the playoffs, Jason. And what you're doing is, sorry. No, I deserve it. You're trying to ruin it for everyone else. And the other way is incentivize to keep playing. Like if it's a money league, have a weekly payout for the top point score of the week. Have a punishment. That's fun.

24:56 ↗

for the league for the last place team or the last two to three. I mean, in our league of record, things are fun. In our league of record, if you finish last, you get, you draft the wheel of water. Yeah, you get to have the other 11 owners dump water on you in a myriad of humiliating ways and then draft soaking wet every year. And this is an actual deterrent. People do not want.

25:25 ↗

This to happen to them. Certainly not. And it's the worst from what I hear. If you are new and you're not familiar with that, we actually developed an app. It's free. It's on your mobile app store. And it's just wheel of water. You can use that to make bets with your friends and have fun. I use it for all my Ed Dixon related bets with Jason. So I get to water them weekly. I'm just, I'm not on board with the.

25:51 ↗

We got to shut teams. You're not in competition. You're not allowed to touch the waiver. It's weird, though, because you do see that. People complain. They go, this guy's 4 and 8, and he took my guy. And it's like, what are you talking about? Like, what do you want? Why is it your guy? It's not a Survivor League. You're not kicking the team out the first time they lose. And it's just you left. You win. Yeah, unless your league locks teams that are out of the playoffs for making transactions, which is done. I agree. Then they should be making transactions.

26:17 ↗

Uh, what will Tyler Boyd do the rest of the season with no red rifle slinging him the rock? Jay Schmidt wants to know. Great question. It is an important question because Boyd has been so good. Is this the end of Tyler Boyd? He needs more scores. Just needs more. One big score. So I went back and I looked at the game log to see, you know. Didn't Driscoll throw it like 24 times? Driscoll was.

26:41 ↗

Very good. That's not to say he is as good as Andy Dalton, but he came in. And most of Tyler Boyd's success last week came from the hand of Jeff O'Driscoll. And poor guy's got an O in front of his name forever. Darn right, he does. You know, and some of them, you know, some of them were screens, but he had a deep 46-yard pass, the 28-yard touchdown pass. Those were Driscoll. I think, I think Driscoll is going to.
