But his, so he was the number one recruit in the nation, I believe, when he was coming out of high school. Because the guy is physically a monster. I'm going to pull up his. If I never hear that again, though. What? It would be too soon. Yeah. Because when your greatest attribute after all of college and your first year in the NFL is that you were the top recruit in high school, the time is running out.

But he actually... He's only played a year. I would agree with that in general. If he came out and stunk it up this year, I would have been... I would have been leading the charge for saying that. I feel like he had a very good second half of the year where you go, oh...

Okay, so that raw, raw, raw talent that we saw just a couple years ago in high school. I mean, the guy's still... We skipped college, not living up to potential in college. He didn't live on. He only caught 30-something balls in the NFL. He was good in college until he wasn't allowed to play for his off-field activities. He was okay. He was okay. So my point is simply he has the talent. Now the second half of the year he got the opportunity. So give me the comparison. Who do you think he's like next year? Hmm.

Let me pull up. He's probably going to be one of the more touchdown heavy type of receivers. You know, I hope for, and I would never expect him to finish as high as, you know, yeah, Ted Ginn would be a good option. That's the highest possible, right? Yeah, I mean, he's going to be that, I think, number two in receptions, but probably lead the team fantasy points for his team. Two in receptions or three?

I'm saying wide receivers. So not including Delaney Walker. All right. Just from the wide receivers, the second option. They'll probably be third on the team in receptions. So Ted Ginn would be, you know, the type of guy where he doesn't get a lot of, he doesn't get a lot of, I'm going to go receptions, but he gets the touchdown. I'm going with like James Jones, 890 and 8.

I think that's very doable for Greenback. The reality about Green Beckham is that this is the same type of divergence of thought that has always existed for him. When you come into the draft, when you're 6'6 and you're built to play the position the way he has been and he's flashed those things at times, you're going to have people who fall on both sides and say, hey, he's going to take the leap and be, you know, kind of live up to that size and that potential. And then you have some people that are like, well, let's just wait and see. Because here's the...

A point that I've been meaning to talk about on the show is the, well, I want to see it first type of thinking. This is a kind of a, just an overall how I play fantasy football. You can't wait and see. You have to be proactive. You have to make the move because by the time you see it, somebody else will have already made the move. So if you want to be off a guy that I don't have a problem.

with Andy not being really in the Green Beckham camp. But by making him having this decision of, well, if I see it, you know, he'll be gone. You will completely miss the boat on a player like that. And I'm content with that. And that's what you have to be to say, well, if I'm going to see it first, you have to know you're probably not going to have that player because somebody else is going to make the move in a projection-based opportunity instead of.

instead of waiting to see it happen. And it's not coloring my entire picture of this, but the offense makes a big difference to me. And, you know, there were games, I played Green Beckham in a game last year. And the problem wasn't Green Beckham, okay? The problem was two targets to wide receivers after halftime, okay? We all agree they're going to put somebody in place that's better at the running back position this year.

Mariotta can still run the ball and he can score in the red zone. You've got right. You've got Walker. It's an opportunity thing. The offense wasn't that great plus where he falls in the target chain. I don't project him being great moving forward. That's just where I fall. Yeah. And the truth is all these guys, it's really about projection. The guys we just talked about, I would rather have DGB over because I think the potential is higher. The guy that I would rather have over Doyle Green Beckham, though, who I think

is a little bit of a sexier pick to me would be Devin Funches, who I believe is the next guy on the list. Devin Funches, to me, he started to show up later on in the year. He was brought in to be the two, not the one type of role. And with injury, he was kind of forced into this weird place where he wasn't used as what they thought he was going to be and then they didn't like him. But at the end of the year, he showed that he's good. He's on a high power offense. I think that...

You know, he's going to find easier defense next year. And Tedgin, Jr., I don't expect to repeat this year. What is the status, the contract status of Philly Brown? Corey Brown. I was just wondering if you know off the top of your head. I would have to look it up, because I'm just asking, because my liking of Funches would, that'll have an effect on it. If Brown is gone? He has a three-year contract. Okay. If Brown is back, I still like Funchis.

a good bit moving into next year. But Kelvin Benjamin expected to be the one. Olson, contrary, Philly Brown. You like that. It's a high power offense, but there are some serious target hogs there. So Funchus, I would take Greenbeckham over Funches. Yeah, I would as well. I don't think Funchantz's opportunity is going to be there. And I don't think he's got the skill set to be. I think it could be a guy that surprises people with the seven or eight touchdowns.

because of his size and involvement in the red zone. But I don't think you're going to get, I would say if he caught more than 45, 50 passes next year, I'd be shocked. Very similar, really, in Doyle Green Beckham. I think both are going to get touchdowns and not a ton of receptions. All right, so Tyler Lockett burst onto the scene, really just an incredible special teams player and somebody who you saw take leaps.

in his wide receiver, both production and just performance on the field. Really impressive, 51, 664 and 6. What's the Tyler Lockett story for next year? Because he's one of those guys where I know that Doug Baldwin had the year that Doug Baldwin had. But I don't understand why it can't be Lockett on any given day. That's the thing about him. Yeah, I completely agree. I would say maybe it's just a biasy thing, but my opinion of Lockett really started to

flip. There was a play with the Seahawks were playing against the Cardinals, so I was getting to watch a ton of Lockett, and he just torched Peterson. I mean, torched him. Patrick Peterson, if you weren't paying attention, was having a, had a great season. He really turned his play around, but Lockett just burned by him, and Peterson had no chance, and it was, and then the touchdowns start coming for Russell Wilson.

The first nine games of the year, Russell Wilson, threw 10 touchdowns. The final seven, 24. What happened? Because the attempts really weren't up. He was just being far more efficient. So this is a...

The Seahawks are going to be a team that you are going to have to make an early decision on if you're going to buy into next year. Buying into the transition to a Russell Wilson pass first offense. Yes. We saw. And pass in the red zone offense. Yeah, yeah. You saw Baldwin getting a ton of the, just a slant right from the two-yard line. It will be very interesting because we expect Lynch to be gone. Thomas Rawls coming off a fractured leg.

You expect him to be the number one guy, but weird things happen in the Seahawks. Will they make that complete transition to when they're running up the score? I mean, Seahawks have never been a, not never, but the last few years of the Pete Carroll years, they've not been a prolific offense putting up huge fantasy points. Russell Wilson was good for fantasy because he ran the ball and he was scoring a bunch of rushing touchdowns. He didn't have those rushing touchdowns.

this year, and he didn't need them because of the second half of the year, he went nuclear with his touchdown passes. That's the story. And the question is, it seems like that's the trajectory that the Seahawks are going to take with their offense. You can still kind of make the kind of logical argument that they had the least success they've had in three years by doing so.

Right. Because by not being... Well, and they were thrust into a position where they couldn't depend on the run the way they wanted to, whether it was Lynch's injury, then Rawls injury, then all of a sudden you're running Chris and Michael and Bryce Brown out there. But that really wasn't why Wilson got involved. Wilson got involved early, what, from week nine, right? Yeah, I think they had a week nine by, and then they came back. So...

And then he was on fire. Tyler Lockett, when you look at the targets between the first half of the year and the second half of the year, you can definitely see that his targets were up. He had a four games stretch in a row for the last five games where he got seven targets every single game. And so that's what you want to see. He's getting more trust from Russell Wilson. I think Tyler Lockett takes a step up this next year and finishes better.

than he did this year, which was a pretty good year. So, I mean, I would rather have Tyler Lockett even still over a lot of these other guys we've been talking about. I likely would too. I take Lockett and his draft value over Baldwin at his draft value. I'll tell you that right now. And I won't, but I'm a Baldwin believer. Yeah, I would, I'm with Andy on that one. And another note, Curse, Germain Curse, this was a contract year. I don't expect him back.

with Seattle. That'd be great. I would agree with you on that. So that's why I like Lockett. Nor do you expect Jimmy Graham back. Ever. He'll be there in his body will be there. Collecting checks. Yeah, he'll be doing that. Not that I blame him. You know, you take the risk and sometimes that happens. It's not like he chose that injury, that's for sure. All right. This season I'd like a Patella. I'd like a devastating knee injury, please.

What's the cost of that? Right. A lot to Seattle. All right, so Ty Montgomery, Stefan Diggs, guys, be brief about these two. There are other rookies as well, the J.J. Nelsons of the world and other players that we're not getting into on this show. But they will not lack discussion for the offseason. Trust me on that. We'll be doing a early bird mock draft.

But guys, give me a couple seconds on these guys, and then we'll get into the mailbag, and we'll hit the Titans and the running backs on Thursday. Ty Montgomery barely played this year, showed that he was an electric weapon but could not be healthy, caught nearly everything thrown his way, but that was pretty much about two feet away from Aaron Rogers. And by a couple seconds, I mean, I'm going to throw you another question.

Ty Montgomery showed a lot to me on the field when he was there in limited work. Randall Cobb showed me a very little. Show me that there are some concerns there. Got paid, didn't perform to the level that I expect. Maybe Cobb comes back and he's fine. That catch was incredible at the end of the year. I don't know why we didn't see more of that, Randall Cobb. But does Montgomery have a cracked door because of Cobb's performances? Nope. All right. Mike, Mike, tell me about Stefan Diggs.

So Stefan Diggs, you looked up some interesting numbers on him. Here's the question for Stefan Diggs. What happened? What happened? What happened? It's so great. What's going on? Because his first four games, 40 targets. And this was when he was the Waver Wire Beast. It was, he was on, you stay in the flames with Diggs. And he was tearing, he was winning weeks, turned it up. 40 targets for the first four games. The final nine.

games of his season. 44 targets. What happened? Extra attention. Yeah, that's what my question was going to be. So lack of separation from extra attention. He became the one and teams treated him as such. And Mike Wallace was standing over there and the sidelines going, hey, I'm the one. I'm the one. And we're like in his like.

Mink Coat. So can you trust? Because he made so much on that three-ed-Minky Mike? Does Diggs take a step up this next year and show? I mean, he was just amazing on the field that grabbing the balls that came to him. You say no? I say no. Not what I would define a step up as. I would say he obviously isn't going to just play 13 games barring injury. So his numbers will improve, but I don't think proportionally they'll be much different. Well, I don't. You say no, and I say no. I agree.
