Since we say that we need three quarterbacks in a two-quarterback league, to me there's only one quarterback left, one at all that is in a massive tier drop. And that would be Sam Bradford. He's a starting quarterback. He's going to start 16 games. Once you get past him, maybe. Well, maybe. Well, I mean, we had this discussion at lunch that I consider Brian Hoyer a tremendous.

quarterback three, I would take Brian Hoyer as my quarterback two in a two quarterback. This is where I'm not, I'm not trying to fill my roster before taking the right pick, but I sure is that can fill my RB2 before taking a QB3. Yeah, and, but my point was, and Jason was pointing out, well, Brian Hoyer just never plays a full season. You don't need that. But to be, for him to call Sam Bradford there, the picture of health, Sammy Biscuits.

is not one who crumbly makes it through 16 games. All right. So then is it Gore? Is it Riddick? Is it Woodhead? Sure. To me, it would be Gore. It's Gore because nobody wants to draft them. I have to click, are you sure, after I click the draft button? But we'll take Frank Gore. Here's our roster right now this moment as we head into our bench, our depth. Maybe some things that, well, something's going to make Jason happy in a minute. But.

That was the eighth round pick was Frank Gore. Now you're around into the ninth round. Ertz off the board, Woodhead gone, but theoretic, still sitting there on the board, as is Sam Bradford. Jason was talking about wanting a third quarterback, Dante Moncrief, Jameson Crowder, Willie Sneed.

The depth at wide receiver in this draft, here's something worth looking at, right? Because of the two-quarterback situation, I think what we saw in this draft is I didn't see a change at the depth available at running back. But I did see it at wide receiver. It seems like the early picks at quarterback gave a lot of depth to the wide receiver position late in the draft. Right. And you need to use those early picks to get your running backs.

filled out because there's so few. At this point, though, I would go Sam Bradford, just like I would last time, because in my opinion, I believe he is the last true starting caliber talent left. Otherwise, you're talking Brian Hoyer, Deshawn Watson, Trevor Simeon, Mike Glenn, and all guys that I think aren't going to actually be the starter for the whole season. Now, I like Theo Riddick a whole lot more than I like Sam Bradford. Why? Let me ask you this. But I also really like CJ Procise. Why would you take those for? The reason you want this third quarterback is for injury.

Not just injuries. It's to stream matchups, too. Yeah, a matchup. I mean, you've got to start two guys every week. And I could very easily. You're going to play Bradford over one of those guys, even if. Well, I mean, I guess in a- I can't see the matchup being streamed that way. Well, if it was, you know, take last year Denver, right? I would, I benched, you know, Drew Brees for other options when it's a true elite. But it is rare. Well, I mean, you could take, let's, so let's take a prima, like a juicy, juicy one. Carson Palmer.

I don't have the schedule in front of me, so I don't know if this lines up, but Carson Palmer's in Seattle. Sam Bradford is at home against the Green Bay Packers. Would you go with the better quarterback and the better offense, or would you take that matchup that was absolute fantasy gold last year? And that could change, but I'm saying right now. No, that's a wonderful example. And in that, I would probably still go Carson Palmer. So your point is, is well taken. And.

So then the counter of that is, hey, do you want to try to find another option at running back? Because you have three wide receivers. Frank Gore is long in the tooth. Oh, we took Frank Gore. I forgot. But you have Riddick. You have Perkins, a starter. You have Blunt, a starter. You have Forte, a starter. How did we not take Smash Jackson? I would just say. I would absolutely take Smash. There's no way. Not because of it. Or Riddick is going over Paul Perkins. Come on.

We got to have some human decency. I would take the starter. Yeah, the potential hot. Your third running back, you want to look at a guy like Paul Perkins and say, what is the highest ceiling? You love Amir Abdullah. Yeah, I know. The highest ceiling for theoretic is to catch the ball 80 times and not carry the ball at all. The highest ceiling for Perkins is to be a three down back on the Giants, a really good offense. No, there's, I'd see 0% chance of being a three down guy. Two down guy.

Baby goal line. Okay. So you're just looking at it like, okay, Perkins is two down. Riddick might as well be two down. I'll play some second and definitely a lot of third. Yeah. But he's a pass catching back on a past first offense. I would 100% if we're going. I need apples to apples. Brooks, we need some help. Brooks, we need some help. I'm definitely on the Theo sad. Oh. Theo. No. Whoa. Whoa.

For a PPR ranking, he's a wide receiver two to get him in the ninth round. I love that we've talked to you. Hey, look, you don't have to say anything else. If as long as I'm not drafting San Bradford right now, I'm a happy man. The debate is over. Willie Schnee's been drafted. I'm glad we can make it. Sorry, Mike. I feel like we are, and we did take, we took two running backs. We almost have a Frankenstein quasi zero running back thing going on here. Right. It's fair. So we went one R.B.

Yeah, until, and we waited a very long time. Yeah. On accident. Mike Wallace, Devante Parker off the board, 1009. Sam Bradford, I'm sorry. He's moved on. As has Trevor Simeon and Brian Hoyer. So some, some people grabbing the last few started, just like I tried to tell Jason. Mike Glenn and Jared Gough, if at this point, are you just taking one of those to have a third? No. Okay, so you're just punting.

You're waiting to sign that third streaming by week filling. I'll get Cody Kessler with my last pick. Or Deshaun Kaiser in week four when he becomes a starter. Once you miss out, I mean, you can't play afraid. We say you have to have three quarterbacks. These are one of those air quotes rules. An air quote rule is not in stone. It's a helpful guide. When we want three quarterbacks, that doesn't mean that you go ahead and draft Jared Gough.

because you have to have one and leave, you know, Eric Decker or John Brown on the waivers. That'd be silly. Okay, let me throw this out here for you, and maybe now is not the time, but I want to keep your eyes on Terrence West. We know he has a very good early season schedule against the run during the time in which Kenneth Dixon is suspended. We have a team where you may even want to play. If Terrence West had a good week one, you might play that matchup for Terrence West above a Frank Gore. Yeah.

Depending on the week. But both Frank Gore and Riddick, I don't know if I would. I could very well. You have Joe Williams, young rookie available, Alvin Kamara to me. The two guys I want are Alvin Kamara and Terrence West. I want those guys. I want another running back here. I really do. I want another running back to add to the. I'm saying I want both of those guys. So which one is making it back to us? Which two? Terrence West and Kamara. They'll both make it back to us. Forte is still on the board. Some people might say, why not take Forte? Yeah.

I would. Would you take forte over Terrence West and Alvin Kamara? Mike's making this pick. We've got to move on, finish this draft out. I believe I would take him over Terrence West, taking him over Alvin Kamara just for the upside. In a PPR. In a PPR this late. Make the pick, Mike. I don't want to take a running back, though. I'm going to make bad jokes again. If you don't take a pick. Do I have to take a pick? Do I have to take a running back?

John Brown is still there. Jeremy Maclin is still there. John Brown or Jeremy Maclin? I'd take John Brown in a heartbeat. I would take Jeremy Maclin. I would take Jeremy Maclin as well. Brooks? I would come from the John Brown trusser. He's outvoted, so he's trying to outsource. You would take Jeremy Maclin? You would take. Do your rankings reflect that? Yes. Who would you be taken? Maclin. Not much because if they both play well, then you can start them in the same week. And I don't feel like those are the type of players where if one goes down, the other gets a boost. They've got their own role kind of carved out. All right, guys, last pick of the draft. Last pick of the draft. Do you want to grab a third?

quarterback option. I don't see anybody available. Read off the name so everyone can vaughan simultaneously. Tom Savage, Mitch Trubisky, Josh McCown, Paxson, Lynch, Brock Osloiler, Jimmy. All right, there's nothing. McCown will start the year okay. I would draft McCown. By the time that we would, you know, think about, okay, maybe we move him in. He looked good week one. Josh McCown is not going to play. Oh, he'll start week one.

The way, I don't, I don't think so. I think the way that the Jets have proceeded through this tank epitomous of an offseason, all they keep saying is they want to see the young guy. They want to see the young guy. Which is it Hackerberg or is it Tom's brother? If you can't decide between two young guys, your odds of having a young guy player even higher, I just, why? Why play Josh McCown? To lose? He might help you win. Yeah, Josh McCown helps you win more than Bryce Petty. There's no way that they don't want to see these young guys throw to all the other young.

wide receivers and talent. Just my, I mean, my take on the matter is Josh McCown is actually just going to be there to help a young guy be better. Yeah, and I agree, but that's just narrative and speculation. We have to, the team is saying Josh McCown is the starter right now. So I would draft Josh McCown as if you were the starter. And, you know, I get that. I don't think he'll be around. I would, there's still plenty of.

wide receivers I really like. But you don't get a pick any of them because I just took a guy to finish our draft. All right. Who do we draft? Josh Doxon. We took Josh Doxon with the last pick of the draft. High upside player. We have a DST and a kicker spot left. Get the best kicker first. We'll move on. If this was a live draft, this is where and my rules allowed it, I would say I'm not taking a defense. I'm going to draft Josh McCallon. There you go.

And you just hold on in. And I would also take. So this would be the situation. And we did not have to draft a kicker of defense. So I took Josh McCamp. Yeah. We did it. Then if that's the case, then let me just make the argument. The next pick should be Robert Turbin. Because while we say don't draft handcuffs and that makes sense, because you're going to drop him in week one if it doesn't work out. But if I'm going to drop him already before the season, what happens if old man Frank Gore comes up lame in the off season? You're saying if you were drafting right now. Right. Like not that we're not.

pretending to be an August draft. Exactly. Okay. So you, if you're drafting now, you take Turban because you would want to, if tomorrow Frank Gore goes down with an ACL, at least you got the guy roster. Our draft grade will probably be terrible because we don't have a kicker or a defense. But who cares? So what? Who cares? So, all right, that is it for today's two-quarterback mock draft. A lot different than what we're used to, obviously, with the two quarterbacks. Fun to talk through those things. I hope everybody learned what I already knew.
