Antonio Brown was more important to this offense, I think, than we actually realize. It's interesting. I wouldn't have thought that. Yeah. The Broncos have acquired quarterback Teddy Bridgewater from the Panthers in exchange for a 2021-6th round pick. He is now a Denver Bronco. And Carolina is still paying the majority of his salary. Like this was a sensational trade by the Denver Broncos. You have to at least hedge on.

108 passageson Drew Locke. Well, they got twice as good now. I mean, they didn't hedge. They, they, I mean, don't get me wrong. Teddy Bridgewater is not that good. But he's, you know, he's now their best quarterback on the roster. My point is there, the Broncos are as a team should be excellent. They are a quarterback away from really competing. They have a tough division. Now they're still half a quarterback away. But, but the quarterback could be upgraded. And this still doesn't stop them from drafting a player. Just me, Carolinas, are they in the game?
for a quarterback? I don't believe they are personally. I mean, I do. I mean, this trade to me says, well, we can get some value for Teddy Bridgewater and we're in the game for somebody to compete with Sam Darnel. Yeah. They didn't pick up the fifth year on Darnold. Not yet. They're not going to, I think, until after the draft, right? Correct. One of the quarterbacks, spoiler alert, I have one of the quarterbacks going to the Carolina Panthers.
Yeah, I mean, it certainly could happen. It will happen, Jason. I don't think it will happen the way that you have it going because I have a feeling you're not having Justice Fields dropped to there. From what I understand, the Carolina Panthers, I think that that's the player that they would probably want if they're targeting someone. I just don't think that that will happen. I'm so excited to go through these picks, though, and say how we think it's going to unfold. Well, let's do that now. Oh.
It's going to be fun in the shelf life on this show. A little bit shorter. Very small. A little bit shorter. Oh, no, no, no. This will be a super fun show to listen to one day after and see how stupid we all are. Well, let's just make sure that we are all extremely confident in our selections. I'm positive minor 100% right. We always put something on the line. Now, I pulled Twitter for some ideas on a bet. And the one we went with was, uh,
The loser, whoever gets the least amount of predictions correct, their glamour shot is going up on the back of this wall where our player jersey normally is. Now, the winners get to pick the pose and the outfit. You betcha. Oh, yeah. We're going to do some work here. And for the first time ever on our draft prediction show, we don't even know who one another has picked because they are hidden from our eyes. So normally we at least know which direction somebody is going. We may all agree on somebody. I can't wait to.
reveal where I think Trevor Lawrence is going. Oh, Mike, let me know. I'm blowing my draft up from the first pick. Well, we all, I hate to break it to you. I do know where Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson are on our predictions. We all have them the exact same. Trevor Lawrence to Jacksonville and Zach Wilson to the Jets. So we're going to start off 2 and 0. Yes. Those are the bits of news. I guess not Lawrence. We knew Lawrence would go on, but.
I am allowing the media to influence me and say that Zach Wilson is locked into two. But let's begin now with our draft predictions. And I do not know if we'll be very similar or very different. I feel like mine are a little bit off chalk, I guess you would say. Offk? Not off. Off. Off chalk. It's a hard. I was combining them. Yes. Oh, I see. I will let you reveal your own when I bring the player up.
I'm going with Justin Fields, and I am going with the Atlanta Falcons. I believe that there will be four quarterbacks off the board, one through four. There is the chance that Atlanta trades down to enable that to happen. I, however, believe that they will view this as an opportunity to grab their next quarterback in the rare occasion that they're at the top of the draft. And so I'm going to go Justin Fields with the Atlanta Falcons at four.
Which is, I think I'll be alone in that. All right, Mike. Where do you have Justin Fields going? I have decided to stick with the guns. I think he is at least the second best quarterback in this draft. I don't want to just pull out a flamethrower, but Justin Fields to me could be the best quarterback in this draft class, better than Trevor Lawrence. He's going to be an outstanding pro.
And how do you pass on him when he drops to you at number three? I'm blocking all the coach speak, all the smoke screens that have been going on. This is a glory pick here. I think San Francisco moved up for Justin Fields. That makes sense because I, you know, obviously what do we know? But I am in agreement with you that he, if I'm the New York Jets, my pick would be Justin Fields.
If I'm the San Francisco 49ers, my pick would be Justin Fields if he's there. But I'm trying to get these right. I think Justin Fields slips a little bit from what we've seen. And I have a team coming to trade up to get Justin Fields. The New England Patriots, Justin Fields and Cam Newton are close.
And, you know, Andy, you've said since the time you started scouting Justin Fields, all you see is like a mini Cam Newton out there. They both wear the same number. They have the same stance, the same throwing motion. But I think that the Patriots want that type of a player. So they come up into the top 10 to get him? I have them trading with the Carolina Panthers and that they move back. What a freaking gift for Bill Belichick. Maybe.
If this happened. Yeah. No, this is not a maybe. It Fields went to the Patriots because I'm locked. Fields is going to be good. But to go, you just have one down year and then you have someone who can be your franchise quarterback. Well, maybe. I mean, do you read into any of the concerns with him managing the epilepsy and things of that nature? I don't. You think teams, when they think about what they'd have to invest to come up and get a guy, though, might factor that in? Oh, it's probably factored in.
Don't pretend that I'm a doctor of knowing what degree of epilepsy does he have. But we know there are other NFL players who have had this and managed it. And I believe I had read that it's in his family, this is not uncommon. And in his family, people have outgrown it. Sure, sure. All right. I was told I would outgrow my asthma, though. And that did. Didn't work out? That did not work out.
All right. Trey Lance is up next. Trey Lance is up next. Before we get to him, I want to genuinely thank this sponsor, Helix Sleep, because we all three have Helix mattresses, and here's the cool thing. I don't know if you, I don't know if people know this. I don't know how many people need to hear this. I needed to know it. I need to hear it. I took their quiz. We all three took their quiz to get the exact mattress that's right for us if we're back sleep or for sleep hot or whatever.
Well, it turns out they have a plus size mattress option. And that's, but, look, give the people what they need. Give the people what they need. And I need, I want a soft mattress, right? But if it's just a generic soft mattress and I'm, let's just say, overweight, what? Then I'm sleeping on something that's going to hurt my back. And I've got it. I've slept on it. I've used it. And I absolutely love.
Love the Helix mattress. You can take their quiz. It takes two minutes. It's very specific to you. Your partner, if you're sleeping with two people in a bed, they are going to match you with the mattress that makes the absolute most sense. And you don't have to take our word for it. We all went a different direction. I have them to Atlanta.
and Jason went with the Patriots, Mike with San Francisco. Let's move on to Tray Lance. Trey Lance, look, we all, I know, spent some time going back and forth on some of these selections. I feel like Jason was very labor intensive on his prediction process. But I ended up going with San Francisco. I think, I think, Trey Lance.
I think Tray Lance goes off the board at number three. So you moved off of Mac. I think it's, I've moved off of Mac to Tray Lance. I think that there is more smoke in that direction right now. And there are those out there that believe Tray Lance will be the next Josh Allen in the NFL. So there's not just smoke in San Francisco. This is like a, this is a forest fire situation where they're blocking. I've made the switch. They're blocking everything. Yeah. I mean, the, the reality is most of the plugged in insiders are saying Mac Jones. And I.
I can see that happening. I won't be surprised. But at the same time, I'll be shocked from a football standpoint because giving up what they gave up to go from Jimmy Garoppolo to Mac Jones, I just can't make that make sense to me. I feel like there's got to be something that is clearly different, clearly better. And so I also have Tray Lance going to San Francisco. I think they're looking for someone with a...
rocket arm and legs that can get out and scramble. All you've got to do is get that screen pass quickly to Debo, quickly to IUC, roll out. Honestly, while I don't think Trey Lance is the best prospect, I think if he goes to Kyle Shanahanham in that system, he's actually going to be great. He would be my number one fantasy quarterback. Like if the draft goes the way that I've got the draft going, I would draft Tray Lance ahead of any of the other quarterbacks personally. All right, Mike. I know it's not three for three here.
It is not because, you know, San Francisco already has their quarterback. And then I think that moving down after the number three position, those other teams are going to stay where they are and just take the best player that they want. And then the tumble stops. The stumbles stops at number eight. And the Carolina Panthers take Trey Lance. He seems to be more in the mold of the type of quarterback.
that they would want. And for that type of that Matt Jarl Rule offense, you know, I think that Trey Lance could really excel there. And they take their franchise guy and Sam Darnold gets a year. I mean, Trey Lance, of the quarterbacks, Trey Lance is most developmental. The most developmental. It seems the least pro-ready, at least has, you know, the least amount of experience, especially when you factor in his competition. So giving Lance a year to sit.
would be optimal. And with the trade for Darnel, I think they can do that. All right. Let's move on to our final quarterback that we'll be predicting today. Mack Jones, I believe he tumbles to the New England Patriots. I think New England ends up with him. And I don't think they have to move to get him. I think he ends up at 16. They might have to move up a few picks. Some other teams threaten and they come up to 1213. But I'm going to go with the New England Patriots for Mac Jones. I had Mac Jones going to the New England Patriots for quite a while.
I think that they would prefer the mobile rushing quarterback. But I know a team that is really hot on Mac Jones and is desperate for a quarterback is the Chicago Bears. I have them trading up to say, sorry, Andy Dalton, you're no Mac Jones. Yeah, I've seen some mocks where Mac falls right to the Chicago pick without them trading up. Sure. Man. Mike? Wild. I have.
