Not like they drafted him because they're afraid of Chris Godwin not being there. I'm saying for production this year, it's when is Chris Godwin on the field and ready? How much time does Abuka have to... operate in the slot before Godwin comes and takes that role because Ibuka was a slot player primarily in college. This will be one of those ADP things of like the scenario could be perfection of we love rookie wide receivers especially over the second half of the season and I really love when a rookie wide receiver is not like their ADPs are not Marv and Malik neighbors. I know Malik hit but it's like when you

when the ADP is so high and your margin for error of that player actually coming through is small, I don't love that. But Abuka, because of the situation and everything, the draft capital is there. The ceiling is in play, in my opinion. And if he's going in the seventh or eighth round, then that's fantastic. Like, that's the type of players that I like to draft and see if they hit. Chicago spent the 10th pick in the draft. Not on Ashton Genty, who they probably would have loved to have picked there, but on Colston Loveland. Not on Tyler Warren. Not on Tyler Warren, but on Colston Loveland out of Michigan, a field stretching tight in with a lot of athleticism, drafted to a team that had Colquette, who we, I think, always have felt like has gotten the short end of the stick in terms of opportunity. Because when he's been given, targets an opportunity, he's performed well. And here's Colston Loveland arriving. And I, look, we have Bears fans.

in the office. I have a couple close bears fans for friends and they, they're all like just trying to feel good about this pick. They're trying. But it didn't come naturally is the reaction that I got. They're like, oh, okay. Well, Ben Johnson must know what he's doing. Yeah. And Ben Johnson was psyched to get Colston Loveland. There was a lot of reporting done about this being the player that the NFL was higher on than most people. in the sense that a lot of teams were trying to trade up to get Colston Loveland, and then as soon as the Bears took him in the 10th, all those calls up to the teams and the teens stopped. And so that, you know, it was a lot of, you know, teams around the league. They looked at Loveland like a good weapon. The issue the Bears fans have is wasn't really a position of need. Wasn't the projected number one tight end in the draft. However,

If you really just think about what's going to help the Bears do what they want to do, what they hope is going to happen, the hope for the Bears is Caleb Williams. That's it. This team goes with how he goes. They've improved his offensive line, and they've got him two really good weapons in this draft, a top 10 pick that is a pass catching tight in in Colston Loveland and Luther Bird in the third with their second round pick, a guy who wants you get the ball in his hands. I love him. is i dude i was love him we hadn't really discussed luther burden yet but i i think that this is 100% worth like whatever you're going to try and do and go after burden you know in talking rookie drafts i'm very excited i it may be getting too far ahead of my skis but it's like ben johnson comes in the first thing he does as the leader of the chicago bears i know there's gm and stuff but

Ben Johnson comes in. He's like, I want my Sam Leporta, and I want my Ammon Ross St. Brown. And Luther Burton, Luther Burton's going to be the slot player. He will be the slot wide receiver. Which they're just like, I mean, Kenan Allen is now going. Right. And to me, like, I know it Rome is now that we have a bit on the show about Rome. I don't even know who that is. But Rome would doonese, like, is Romo Dunez a great, like will he be a great wide receiver in the league? That's still. TBD. I think he's going to be good, but Rome wasn't the guy picked by Ben Johnson. Luther Burton is. So I think that the opportunity for Luther to come in and get all those targets that Keenan Allen was getting and Rome ends up at 800 yards again, I think that that is not an impossible situation. I am not like I don't downgrade Rome a ton.

by this move. I think the move is better for the NFL than it may be even will be. It could be that. For fantasy, because Burton can contribute in the special teams game and returns and into rounds and special plays. I think for the team, it's outstanding. You know, Loveland, he's going to be your pass catching tight end. Colcomette's an okay blocker, right? He's a mid-level, you know, maybe a slightly above-average blocker that they can, you know, they can. used to reinforce the offensive line so they can run the football. I think one of the big surprises to us, you know, you add two pass catchers. Caleb Williams is your future. You didn't add a running back. Oh, they wanted to. They added one in the seventh round. But I mean, you had what? Two seconds. Two seconds, a third, fourth, fifth, and six. I don't know if you paid attention. There was several times where the bears were a couple picks away.

And it looked like there were a handful of running backs. Craveon Henderson. That were, you know, that were ripe for the taking. And teams kept picking running backs right ahead of the bears. And then the bears get on the clock and then they trade back. And it was like, oh, it just felt like the draft didn't fall the right way for them, which means it fell very much the right way for DeAndre Swift. one of the biggest winners. I feel like he was like in his hotel room slowly packing his bags. Yeah. And, and then like, and they're all packed up. And every time I pick would come off, he'd open up another bag to start unpacking just a little bit more. He's like, oh, can I put my shirts back in the closet? Yeah. Like, now they could have traded up. They had the capital to move up and jump a jump a team for a running back. We've all been here. Like I get not all this, but if you've been in a fantasy draft where you can trade picks.

If you've been in that format, you have definitely gambled and lost where you see a player's name dropping. Do I do I do it? Do I send this trade offer? Do I move up two picks to make sure I get my guy? No, no, no, no. I'm good back here. I'm good. He's going to follow to me. And then the pick right in front of you gets selected and it's infuriating. So I think that gambled and lost that some of these running backs were going to drop to them. And while I can't disagree at all for the DeAndre Swift portion that you were talking about, Jay,

I'm going like ADP wise, I think that Roshan Johnson is going to be a name to monitor. They must feel better about the room if they didn't move up. If we get the full duplicate of the Detroit Lions offense, which maybe they do, maybe they don't. The draft certainly looks like they're trying. I mean, that would make Roshon David Montgomery. By the way. And he'll be used. We are not even one year removed from a four year. $50 million extension for Cole Commet in which he was guaranteed $32 million. So while he is probably irrelevant for fantasy, because he's kind of always been, he's still a part of their plan for this team. It's just tight ends can be utilized in so many different ways. I would not be surprised if Cole Commet ends up with five touchdowns, six touchdowns at random times during the year. Dawson Knox is still a part of the bills and has some touchdowns,

mostly fantasy irrelevant. So Caleb Williams, a winner here, more weapons. They also, you know, offensive tackle in the second round. Let's not ignore that, trying to get that offensive line that they were already working on this offseason through free agency, even more solidified. This is a team that was 28th in points per game and dead last in yards per game last year. It's a simple equation. If Caleb looks like crap this year, this franchise is in a full-on tornado tailspin of death. Yeah, but they have done... You have to give them every shot. They have done literally everything. This isn't like, hey, we're going to, over the next couple of years, we're going to keep adding pieces to the puzzle. They opened the vault. Golden opportunity for him. Speaking of Golden. Oh, really? Oh, man. Green Bay. I was like, did we move on and I missed it? Pick 23, a wide receiver, Matthew Golden, who I feel like Jason...

rarely misses an opportunity to mock or, you know, share his dislike of. Um, it's, I think we dislike the first round draft capital. Yeah. If Matthew golden, he was rumored to even go at 12 to Dallas. He didn't. He went to Green Bay. Yeah. Matthew golden is a good wide receiver. I don't think he is. He's a good wide receiver. He's got the skill, the skills and the traits. You see it on film that he's good. He does not have a production profile in any way, shape, or form of a first round wide receiver. Like, he might have the worst production profile of any first round wide receiver ever drafted. He lands in a spot where it's very, very, for now, this year, there's a lot of bodies there.

You know, you've got Jane Reed there. Are you talking about Dobbs and Watson and Reed and Wicks and Melton and Kraft and third round picks, Avion Williams? That is exactly what I'm talking about. So I think it's going to be difficult fantasy-wise to rely. I don't even say Musgrave. Yeah, you don't need to. I think it's going to be difficult, fantasy-wise, to rely on any of these guys. Now, Romeo Dobbs is in the final year of his contract, as well as Christian Watson, who's injured. So. You know, going forward, Golden has an opportunity to establish himself. He's on a top 10 offense here with a good quarterback in love. But I just think the talent is overblown for a player that could just disappear. I mean, I would watch his games and go game by game. And I'd be like, I thought this guy was rumored to be a first round pick. Where is he? The rumors were true.

Yes, the rumors were true. The rumors came true. He was a first round pick. Look, no team has drafted worse than the Packers, so that's not a boost of confidence. You could say it's good for Jordan Love. Yeah, more weapons is good for Jordan Love. Are the Lions a better team than the Packers? Yes. Are the Vikings a better team than the Packers? I think so. Yeah, close. What about the Bears? No, not yet. So it's going to be really interesting. It feels like an important year for this wide receiver room. I don't want to ignore Savion Williams. That's a high draft capital pick. This one was weird. He's 6-4-220. He's very, I think he's a very good player. But they are making. He's a very specific player, though. At least when you watched him in college, the way he was used, like this is a, this is a Debo player. This is a Cordero Patterson type of a player where he's not necessarily a refined wide receiver.

but the dude's an athlete. So if you can figure out how to use him. Don't expect Dobbs and Watson on this team next year. Correct. Those guys will be gone. And so, you know, when you look to what the team will want to establish for Jordan Love, maybe you see those guys start to fade into the periphery a little bit more. I think Jaden Reed, Matthew Golden, you know, Wix, it should become more clear in training camp. And I'm not looking forward to projecting that wide receiver room in the UDK here in a month. Yeah, I've even just. You ever skip a team when you're going through to come back to them later? I push them back. I push them back later because I'm like, man, I just don't have clarity on the depth chart here. And this wide receiver room is definitely going to be one where the problem's going to exist on paper that will happen in reality, which is all of them will be somewhat involved. You know, they're going to go.

five or six deep at wide receiver who will receive some targets in the year, and that just stinks. It stinks because, you know, for fantasy purposes, we want a consolidation of target share, and it's going to get spread around here, which is probably good for the Packers, but bad for fantasy. I do think that of Matthew Golden, his best traits are properly applied by a head coach that I trust and a quarterback that can throw a deep ball. I do think there's an opportunity for him to come in and have more success than you'd expect, but you need that room to get parsed down a little bit. Minnesota, not a lot going on in this draft. What did they have? Like five picks. So they spent their first on an offensive lineman. They spent a third round pick on Ty Felton. Did you guys like Felton coming out of Maryland? I mean, he's a thinner guy like he's 6-1, but 183.

very fast. It, I mean, I like it as a depth pick for this team. You know, they, they were trying to sell us, was a Jalen Naylor? Somebody, someone was getting some, some buzz this off season of like, no, we're good with that guy as our third. And I don't think they were. I mean, he's a fine third. Felton will contribute, but you've got Addison and Jefferson. Yeah, for fantasy, it's Hawkinson. If your name doesn't end with Sun. Yeah, it's going to be hard for a ton. It's not bad. Can we can he become Typhelson? That would help. That would help him get on the field. Yeah. We'll take a break. We'll talk lions in just a moment. All right. The Detroit Lions spin a first rounder on D-line, a second rounder on O line, and a third rounder on Tislah. Hold on. This is one of the wilder picks.

for when you're talking rookies. Tesla. Yeah. Spell Tesla pronounced Tesla. Isaac Tesla. And I'm going to call this kid Kohl'slaw. Okay. That's fine. That's fine. They, this is what we're here to do. They took him in the third. However, they had to trade up to get him. To trade up to get him, they traded two third round picks. So Tesla. They picked this guy with three third round draft picks. Are they both in this year's draft? I think they're futures. Yeah, both next year's. But it's like that's two future. It's it's. It's wild. What's wild about it, the thing that's the craziest is this is a guy who is a projection. Wide receiver, by the way. Wide receiver, gigantic. He's six four. At Arkansas. He's 642.14 ran a 4-4-3. A beast. So his speed score, his athleticism, incredible. He has never had 600 yards in a season. You didn't like 28 for 545 and 3 last year? That is his best season. That was a career high. What was Legate's numbers as a senior?

Oh, they were massive. Yeah, it was, what am I thinking? You're thinking of the fact that before that burden's numbers went down. Okay. I think what you're thinking about is Leggett prior to his final breakout season. That is what I'm thinking. He had never had 200 yards. Um, but yes, this is, this is a guy who is an athletic freak, um, has some great highlights. Although I went back to watch the highlights, because I'll, I'll be honest. I didn't scout this player. It's only 545 yards to go around. I know. Uh, I didn't scout him prior to the NFL draft, so I scouted him after he was drafted. This is high draft capital on a great offense. This is an important one to to know. And it was so weird because I'm watching some of the highlights and he's getting on the field only when their team is up like 50 to 15. It's like what? Why? It's a real confusing prospect. He is the lowest targets per outrun, which was 13.4% of any wide receiver taken in the first three rounds in the last.

11 years. Yeah. It's saying of this one is a full, it breaks all your process. It's a Dan Campbell trust situation. Yes, because like, oh, a third round wide receiver to a high powered offense, I love that. But the fact that I have, before the combine, like you didn't know who this kid was. He did make noise at the combine for sure. And then the fact that they trade up another data point, they trade two thirds to go get him. But I just, I have no idea what to make of this player. Yeah, Tara McClure and Kenny Gulliday, both third rounders that people didn't have on their radar when they were drafted. You never know. You try to put trust in a team that's drafted very well. Tim Patrick, a loser of this situation. If Tessla works out, then maybe Jared Gough continues to benefit from more weapons. They did pick up the 50 year on Jameson Williams. But, you know, a long-term deal is not a guarantee there. Maybe they'll see what they have. I mean, a third round pick, like you said.

It was an area that they went after. And people, I don't think drafters know what to do with this guy as in rookie draft. We do our main dynasty league. It's a three round. I know there's a lot of four rounds out there, but we're three. I took Tesla with the second to last pick of the entire draft. A third round wide receiver. Like people are drafting day three running backs. I passed on them in the rookie draft. Yes. Yeah, you certainly did. So I'm saying, is it going to work? I have. No idea. But I love the athleticism. I love that Dan Campbell wanted this guy, made sure it happened. How do you, how do you trade two future thirds for a guy who's who's not on anyone's radar? I feel like they could have traded back. That's that's crazy. The Giants took Jackson Dart in the first round after locking up edge stud Abdul Carter with the third pick.

It was exactly as Jason prophesied. It was. A trade back up into the first to pick up Jackson Dart, not Sodor Sanders. All the reports that we're getting is that he's going to sit behind Russell Wilson in New York this season. As long as they can do that. As long as they can do that. I mean, it's what, six games? I mean, is that more comforting if you have my league neighbors or less comforting that Russell's probably neutral? It's neutral. The thing that's not comforting is that if Russell Wilson does get binged after six games, now the problem is it might be Jackson Dart. And he's stealing away my sweet, sweet James Winston nonstop targets. But honestly, it could be James Winston still as the number two. Both general manager and head coach have talked about their desire for Jackson Dart.

to sit and learn. And I think that's probably good. Yes, I agree. It's weird because, like, Dable feels like he's on a permanent hot seat. So the whole like, hey, we'll wait and play him next year. It's like, are you going to be there? But they also spent a, you know, I like Jackson Dart for what it's worth. I do think he's a good player. I think it'd be great if he could sit. If that actually was the way it worked out, you could have a, you know, more of a Jordan Love situation where he could come in with a year of experience. Fourth round pick, Cameron Scoutaboo, running back, Arizona State, found his home. He was second behind Gentie and missed tackles, forced. You know, he's just such an enigma. Yeah. And some people thought he might go day two. He didn't. We were hoping. He was close. He was very close. He did not fall far into the fourth. This is.

It's not great draft capital, but, you know, the fourth round is in a deep class at running back. I feel like this is a very good landing spot for him. I think you could have gone to a lot worse situations with much better depth charts. I mean, I don't know what this team really believes about Tyrone Tracy, but I think Scataboo is going to have a role. And the way he grinds, I'll be shocked if a Brian Dable team doesn't get him on the field. Yeah. So, you know, you talk about. fantasy losers. You have to say Tracy is hanging on by a thread with Scataboo there. You know, maybe James Winston for Jason is a loser there. I mean, that's really, that's global. That's all of us. Right. We are losers for maybe. Yeah, when James is off the field, we all lose. And they didn't take any other important wide receivers. So.

Not that Neighbors was in trouble, but Wondale, Slayton, those guys. Oh, yeah. Congrats everybody. Wondale. Dallas. Dallas, uh, they went pick 12 with Tyler Booker, offensive linemen. Um, I don't know if you, you guys saw they, they kind of are labeling him the Jalen Carter stopper. Oh. But that's so, that's big. Big words here for a kid. Well, so the irony of that situation is that, so he was an Alabama offensive lineman. And Jalen Carter was a offensive lineman in the SEC as well. So he, Booker hasn't given up a sack in the last two years. Defensive lineman? Carter, yeah. Yeah. You called him an O lineman. Okay. Just I was like, wait, what? I was just saying Jenna Carter played in the SEC as well.

Booker didn't give up a sack for the last two years. The last time he gave up a sack, three years ago. Oh, really? Jalen Carter multiple times. So we'll see. But I like his makeup. They didn't spend an offensive pick. We thought maybe they'd go wide receiver or running back in the first or second round. Resisted the urge. Went Jaden blue in the fifth round, 59196 out of Texas with a 43840 time. You know, are they actually content? You know what would be amazing is if they had just made the decision to keep your boy? Yes. It's very, I am thoroughly upset about it. That they didn't bring back Rico. They, because he would have been, Rico, Rico didn't go get money. He got like a, Rico summer for you. Yeah. Yeah. And they went and got Giovante Williams. They downgraded, man. And Rico goes to play what, back up to Chuba? Yeah, he'll be in the time sure over there. He's got to be furious right now. I, I,

I think that he should be coming off 1,000 yards. And you're like, hey, we're going to get Javante and Miles Sanders in here. It's, that is ridiculous that that's what you're going to move forward with. They have been addicted to has been post peak running backs for a while now. Zeke, you know, last year they jackknifed him into the lineup, Dalvin Cook signing Javante Williams. And then a dude runs for a thousand yards. You're like, eh. And it's hard to look at Jaden Blue as a, as a bell cow. Oh, yeah. So he's a smaller, a smaller player, a fifth round. He's going to be probably overdrafted for where he should simply because of the depth chart here. It's nice, you know, the fact that these two rookies are bringing in, they only have to compete with Javante Williams and Miles Sanders. But, you know, the real big winner here is probably Javante Williams. Yeah. Yeah. I agree. And the.

The wide receiver room didn't get stronger. You didn't get a big time upgrade for C.D. Lamb to share the field with. I mean, right now it's Lamb Tolbert Mingo. I mean, the way they talked about Mingo after that trade, no wonder they didn't get anybody. They think Mingo is the next thing. This is why they're talking about Amari Cooper right now because they desperately need. So when they, I think, you know, I mean, their top 30 visits showed that they were looking strongly at a wide receiver. They brought in several. It just didn't work out for them that way. They need to add another veteran wide receiver. Over under 185 targets. Over C.D. Lamb. I'm taking 200. 200 targets C.D. Lamb. That would work well for your franchise player. The commanders. Fantasy winners. Looks like the running back room is going to stay. That one is shocking to me. I really thought Washington would go.

add some talent at that position. Weren't they a top 30 visit destination for a few players? They did. They were looking at running back. This is, I think, the low key biggest winner in the entire of the veterans. Brian Robinson Jr. I don't know why he is so low in ADP. I mean, people view him like he's still dealing with a gunshot right now. I mean, this is a player who. was really good to start the year, is on a great offense, has absolutely very little competition. I mean, you know, Austin Echler now in his 30s. They didn't bring anyone else in. I just, I really hope Brian Robinson stays in late in drafts because I'm going to scoop him up. 33 right now in best ball. That's crazy. Yeah, I don't like him. And Ackler's a year older. I mean, I've never been a Brian Robinson guy, but that is if this is really the depth chart that they're going to move forward with and.

He will be a late ADP in redraft. So he'll be a target. I'm looking right now just on right now looking at Sleeper ADP. He is currently being drafted behind Jalen Warren, behind Aaron Jones, behind Tyrone Tracy. And this is the starting running back for a great offense. Yep. No wide receivers added. So they're going to have a real interesting situation going into 2020. six because McLaurin, Samuel, Noah Brown, Gallup, Osborne, all free agents as of now. So extending Terry McLaren, we'll see if that happens. The Eagles, Eagles had a whole pile of picks. That's not fair. They spent a six-rounder on Kyle McCord. There was some talk yesterday. I think Rich Eisen was speaking with Harry Roseman, trying to get him to admit that they were going to take Shadour Sanders in the fifth, which.

You know, right between the lines. Maybe that was going to be the case. They go with Kyle McCord and the six as a backup. I mean, you talk about not much happening for fantasy. They won a Super Bowl. They like what they have on offense. They went to solidify defense with what, the first six picks of the draft. And then they went quarterback, tackle, tackle. Dallas got her still in the roster, not traded. Crazy endorsement from Harry Roseman. He said, quote, Dallas. Speaking of Dallas Goddard, is part of the team as we speak. Yeah, he was asked the question under the standpoint of, is there any way Dallas Goddard plays football for us? So I think there is maybe some contract issues there. That seemed like it escalated real fast. It did. I didn't know that this was like, oh, Dallas Goddard is like not going to.
