It really changes the kick that much. I don't doubt that it changes the kick. But he missed that fuel go about a hundred yards. So it can't possibly be just the laces. Preston Williams. Knees Spray. Was having a great game. Yeah. Him and Devante Parker. Here's big news because I know, Mike, you were potentially looking forward to Cam Newton returning. Yeah. It's not looking good. He's frustrated. Injured reserves on the table.

124 passagesFor all we know, by the time you hear this, he could be on injured reserve, but his ankle's not improving. It's very, very likely we'll see Alan for the rest of the year. Yeah, I expect him to, I mean, if he's had this much rest and it hasn't got better, then, you know, action's going to need to be taken, and that's going to put him on IR. All right, Brandon Cook's positive visit with a concussion specialist. Okay, that's great. Better than a negative visit. That's true.
Yep. All right. Weekly Rewind News brought to you by the Sleeper app. You don't okay with your microphone over there? Well, it's just funny because now what happens over time, when I move my mic, it moves Mike's microphone. Oh, because they're kind of connected. Yeah. So it's really fun. So is that why you're laughing, Mike? Yes. You're Mike just started moving. He's like, we've, we've had enough of you, Mike. Let me move that out of your mouth way. We do have the update.
update for monaday football hopefully you saw it hope you're following some news somewhere or our socials but sterling shepherd is out and he is back in the concussion protocol that's a weird way to say that he's back out and he is back i'm i am emphasizing that this is not good like you don't you don't leave the concussion protocol
I want to have a whole new segment like that at some point. Foot Clan Sterling Shepherd is back on Concussion Protocol. Also, one other update, our ridiculous water bet that I was very... Oh, Carlos Hyde v. Adrian Peterson from 1996. On Adrian Peterson. I knew he was going to have a great game. And so I would take the water bet against Carlos Hyde.
Adrian Peterson had a great game. He did. He did. Lost the bet because Carlos Hyde with bananas. You only lost by, in our league of record, 0.6 points, Jason. Yeah. That's no good. All right. It's time to move on. Let's get into the stud muffins. This week's fantasy stud muffins. What more can you say about Russell Wilson? Russell Wilson, five passing touchdowns.
Absolutely incredible against Tampa Bay. 29 for 43, 378 and 5. We all knew when they got the ball that it was over. Yes. And it was. So 22 touchdowns, one interception. That's pretty good. That's ridiculous. Russell Wilson is unstoppable. He's just, it doesn't matter what.
You do. You want to pressure him. You want to drop into coverage. You want whatever you do, he has an answer for it. He is phenomenal. And I think that the Seahawks are a legit Super Bowl contending team with what appears to be a below average defense at this point. And I think that's the only thing that can hold them back. Russell Wilson managing to overcome, you know, he doesn't have Doug Baldwin anymore. Loses Will Disley. He's throwing the ball to Tyler Lockett.
And a rookie. And a clothing store. Oh, Hollister. Yes. Okay. Thank you. Yeah. We may talk about him a little bit. Look good. Play good. That's what he says every time he comes out on the field. Jimmy Garapolo had the big game on Thursday night. Best game of his career. Fantasy-wise. Matthew Stafford continues to impress. Almost had one more touchdown in that game, but still 406 yards and three touchdowns. See, there's a good start of the week. We did it.
Hey. He's on pace for 5,000 yards. And he is second in the NFL with touchdown in touchdown passes. He's already had the buy week. He is having a career year. That's what he's doing. And with Kerry on Johnson going to IR and having very little with the running game, they've put it on the arm of Matthew Stafford. And he said, sure. And it's not just dink dunk in the front of the field. If you are not watching any of these Lions games.
They are incredibly fun to watch because it's basically every other dropback. Stafford takes a three step. He's like, oh, see, four, I can throw this ball. When we're watching, we have our nine large TVs that we're, you know, trying to catch every moment of all the games and we're together. And it's so fun because, you know, most of the games, there's just normal plays happening. But whichever TV, the Lions game is on, you know, it's like put a 90-second timer and we go, oh, it's a deep ball! Yep.
Watch out! It's so much fun. But he's got Chicago this week. In Chicago, are you playing Stafford? He's certainly NBA jammed his way into relevance right now. It's a tough call this week. I'm staring this decision down. I'm the Patrick Mahomes owner. I've been riding Stafford. Stafford's been putting up huge games. I think Mahomes may return and solve this problem for me. That being said, I don't blame anybody for taking the shot. Chicago has been...
struggling on offense, to say the least, you could get some short fields. You could get a situation where Stafford ends up with three touchdowns, even if it's not 400 yards. Yeah, I mean, one thing that we saw this week is that great players on offense can beat great defenses. Lamar Jackson. Oh, he had a game. He had himself a very nice game, two rushing touchdowns, one. I mean, this is the thing. His passing line, 163 yards and one touchdown. That's quarterback.
trash. For fantasy. Yeah, for fantasy. Except when you can add 61 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, you had a phenomenal day. And this was one of those players who was, you know, I would say 50% of leagues he was benched in. You had that choice of do I want to take the player or the defense? And, you know, I think in the beginning of last week, we were much more worried towards the end of last week. We were saying,
I think you start Lamar Jackson, but that was a rough decision. I was still worried. I would have benched him if I had a, like, Stafford. Those were the types of players we were talking about. And that game, that was, that game was three completely different parts where it opened up. The Patriots were not ready at all for what the Ravens were going to do, 17 point lead early for the Ravens. And then it was, felt like,
Three quarters straight where the Ravens could not get anything done before turning it back on in the fourth. Small diatribe on the, about that game, this felt like you were entering the gladiators arena. And you know how they sometimes, they lift the big door and they release the beasts, except for what came out was like five or six tight ends. That's, I mean, whether Boyle, Perst, the, what was the name, Ricard, who's not really a tight end?
He's a defensive tackle that also plays fullback that also caught passes. He's also the captain of a starship. Yeah, Captain Ricard. And he's got humongous quads. I mean, they were basically coming out there with scripted plays. Requads. Requads. Mike's just, he is not hearing a word I'm saying. He is searching for Ricard-related puns, jokes, and nicknames. And he's succeeding. But here's what I actually want to say. I think you talk about things that fantasy owners remember.
I am very concerned if I'm the Mark Andrews reliant playoff-bound fantasy team. Because there's four straight games now for Mark Andrews where he hasn't been, he left a really strong impression to start the year. Yeah. But Hayden Hurst involved. Boyle heavily involved. Limited passing total yardage. Yeah, that's what I was going to bring up. You know, so you've kind of programmed your brain.
Like I have a league where I had Mark Andrews, Darren Waller, okay? Start the year. I can trade one of these dudes. I traded the wrong one. I traded Waller. I feel so much more comfortable, even though he had a rough week, more comfortable with Waller in the offense than I do, Mark Andrews. So just don't get yourself fully trapped. You might not have a better option than Mark Andrews. You probably don't. Yeah, and I would also just throw out, you know.
you're not always going to face the Patriots who try to take away your number one option. But he wasn't even on the field for half the game. I mean, he was my, that's the problem I have with it. Yeah. When he was on the field, you could see, you know, the Patriots were not paying attention to the records of the world. They were more focused on, you know, Andrews. Sub 200 passing yards. In fact, sub 170 passing yards, three of the past four weeks.
for Lamar Jackson, which... Yeah, two for 39 for Andrews against the Seahogs. Hollywood Brown is healthy, so he's going to absorb a lot of that yardage. I'm with Andy that you still play Andrews, but you're... The floor's lower than it was to start the year. It's shaky. And then, you know, you had Deshaun Watson doing his thing again in London. Derek Carr had a nice game, 289 and 2. He continues to run the offense well. Do not forget about Ryan Fitzpatrick.
I think we can. No, well, you got to give the man his due. Do you? Yes. 288 yards and three touchdowns? I choose not to. That's a very strange thing. I'm on the give credit side because I love watching this guy play. You're not going to play him, though, right? No, that's not at all what I'm saying. Just he had a great game and it should be called attention to that the dolphins are no longer winless. Congrats. Congrats Jets fans.

All right, running back studs. Christian McCaffrey is a cheat. A cheat code. Having an LT-esque season on pace for the second most fantasy points all time. With Kyle Allen. Brooks, I'm not going to make you speak because you're sick, but I just want to say, remember that time we traded for Christian McCaffrey? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Stay healthy, Christian, because you're going to win a lot of people, fantasy football championships.
Josh Jacobs. Jingleheimer's meant 28 for 1.20 and 2. Yes. We got to point them out, Jason. If you're going to point those out, Jason, you better point the duds out, too. Although I know you will not. I'm just pointing mine out. Yeah. Uh-huh. Kenyon Drake, obviously the monster game. Are you bought in? Or was that just, that was a magical Halloween night? I'm bought into the fact that King Drake.
is talented and played to the same strengths that Chase Edmonds exploited in this offense, which is the ability to get around the edge, take advantage of some of the misdirection brought on by Cliff Kingsbury. He has a similar speed profile as what Edmonds was showing in the offense, probably a little bit better, and Drake, you know, he made the most of 15 touches. My concern is, you know, 10 touches. Does Kenny Drake...
