Gary Barnage owners, Duke Johnson owners, smile. Absolutely. Josh Gordon owners, smile. I'm buying Josh Gordon. Josh McCown is a better quarterback. He is in a better situation to succeed in terms of producing for other fantasy owners. I mean, I mean, fantasy players. I just like McCown behind center. I think we all wanted that. We all hoped that would happen. Not necessarily like this for Robert Griffin III's health, but...

110 passagesI am buying a couple of those players. They did Duke Johnson. The poor week, he produced great with McCown. Yeah, this is literally good for every single brown player offensively except maybe Isaiah Crowell. Pay close attention to Demarius Thomas this week. He said he was, quote, feeling better, we'll return to practice. I am not, I'm going to share my own take. I do not think he is a guarantee to start this week. I actually lean more towards him not playing.
That is my personal interpretation of how Demarius is talking about his injury as opposed to the team. We will see. It's 50-50 right now for me. A little early, but I'm just going to say Emmanuel Sanders is going to be such a great play this week because even if Demarius Thomas is out there, you know, we've seen sometimes they bring a guy out there to be a decoy. The Colts defense is destroyed. Virgil Green, C.J. Anderson, Emmanuel Sanders, and Demeris Thomas, if he plays, are all great starts. Yep.
Speaking Monday, Jaguarist coach Gus Bradley says Julius Thomas suffered a sprained ankle in the Packer game. He had a good game, but he has an ankle sprain. We need to monitor him for the week. Chief's coach Andy Reid said he is unsure of Jamal Charles status. Edwarder reported this morning that Charles might miss another week. I was on the radio this morning and somebody asked me about Spencer Where, do you get rid of him now? What do you do with him? No, you keep Spencer Ware, you play Spencer Ware. I think...
The Kansas City's in it for the long haul, to me. And the long haul says getting Charles back to be fully healthy, even if he's active. I think Spencer Ware is probably a productive RB23 flex play, even with Charles active for a few weeks. Yeah, and I think that should scare you for the value of Jamal Charles. There's no world in which Jamal Charles is going to come back from this lingering, you know, this elongated injury, and then they're just going to make him the bell cow. Just.
Not going to happen. Not in week one of his return, that's for sure. All right, we've got reports. No real Chris Ivory updates other than the fact he remains hospitalized and in pain. More tests being done. Could be, you know, no need to speculate other than the fact that if it was something like an appendix or we would have heard reports on that already. We don't know what it is. So you need to pay attention to whatever source you're on, sleeper, bottle, or out of world, whatever. Someone was saying, should I drop Yeldin? No, do not drop Yelden.
No. Yeldon had not a great rushing week, but he was a workload back. And he caught a ball and he scored a touchdown. So another thing interesting about the Charles news is Ware and West played the same amount of snaps, but Ware was infinitely more productive. Lastly, the Russell Wilson watch is on. They say he's going to practice. I probably have reps limited this week. He said, quote, the injury is, well, Pete Carroll said it's nothing very serious.
Nothing very serious. That's great. Before we get in the waivers, I just wanted to get, what was your take on Carlos Hyde from last night's game? My take on Carlos Hyde was he looked all right. I think he's going to get himself injured. That's my honest take from the game. Let's say he's not injured, though. Okay. Moving forward, where is Carlos Hyde for you? RB2.
Yeah, RB two's fair. I mean, he had a, I mean, he had a couple goal line scores. He had that, that delay run where he scored the first touchdown was pretty impressive. I thought Sean Dron looked good. I thought the Rams looked really, really bad. Yeah, I think he had a couple nice moves. Carlos Hyde did, and he was okay, but he is, and I'm just saying, I mean, I'm not saying that, you know, he doesn't, he didn't earn the stuff, but he is truly a week one warrior.
I mean, last year, week one, the year before that week one, I think I saw that in his week ones, he's got something like 500 yards and 500. I think it's just over 300. 300 yards. You have to keep in mind. He's got 7,000 yards. Carlos Hyde is not proven it over the course of his season. He didn't even have 500 yards last year. And so. And he goes to the.
Carolina Panthers. Right. And so I would just, if you can cash in on them, you know, for RB1 value somehow, I would do it. I would as well. Let's move on to the waivers. Put me in, coach. I am sure there are 10 million people that you would like us to discuss on this episode. We're going to focus on the big names. I did get some heat. I'm going to bring these two things up real quick. We didn't mention the Black Jack Del Rio two-point conversion to Michael Crabtree. And we...
For some reason, we didn't mention Melvin Gordon in the stud muffins. We didn't? No. Oh. And so he deserved to mention scored his first two touchdowns in the NFL. I think we were talking a lot about Woodhead's production. Melvin Gordon looked good. Snapping him, too. And I said that on the radio this morning, too. Woodhead's one of my biggest buys this week. If I was choosing somebody that I wanted, he's the guy I think can make up for Keenan Allen in certain ways in that offense. Two-point conversion was amazing. I love the call.
It's one of those like, why'd you do it if you do it and miss? And if you do it and you get it, it's amazing. So props to the Raiders. It's nice to see them get a win to start the season. I don't think that's happening in this century. All right. Let's start at the wide receiver position. Let's start this way. Let's each give our kind of favorite pickup. It can be the same. Let's give our favorite waiver wire pickup this week. We're going to give you the percentages of ownership. And then we'll go through some other names.
Who's your favorite, Jason? Are you saying in all positions or are you saying? No, wide receiver. Okay, for wide receiver, my favorite is definitely Will Fuller. Will Fuller looked to be the real deal, the way he was used. He is clearly the wide receiver two for a team that I expect to have a very good offense.
O'Brien uses the passing game well, and I believe that Will Fuller can have, of all of the current rookie wide receivers, the largest impact for fantasy this season based on what we've seen so far. And the nice thing is,
He didn't just come out for week one and do this out of nowhere. You know, reports were great in camp. He moved, you know, ahead of strong on the depth chart. Then in preseason, he was great. And now week one, he did it in live, real action. So I'm buying into Will Fuller, and that would be my number one waiver claim at the wide receiver position. For me, it's Taze Sharp, 41% owned.
I like him more in PPR leagues than I do well. Fuller. I think Fuller will break some of those big plays. I like Taji Sharp a lot. I think it was very clear that Sharp was the number one in Tennessee, which I love being able to grab a number one on Waverwire. You saw Richard Matthews play behind Harry Douglas. I think you have a bounceback week. Mariotta was in my stream consideration. I didn't go with him this week. But I think you see a bounceback week for Mario. They did some good things.
I like Tajay Sharp. He'd be my number one wide receiver waiver wire pickup. Yeah, what's interesting about this week, I don't know if there's anybody in this entire list, though, that I'm going to burn my number one waiver priority on there. Would you burn it for Tajay Sharp? I would burn it for Tajay Sharp, yeah. One of those two guys. If I needed, yeah, if I needed a guy. If you're the Keenan Allen owner, so to speak. Exactly. Yeah, it does depend on your needs. All right. My number one guy this week.
uh for right now i'm with jason and will fuller the 11 targets was very surprising i don't know if he'll get near that again but he's going to be a big play guy while uh while the defense the dbs have to focus on dandre hopkins which is going to clear some room for will fuller fuller look great and everything looked everything jason said i just echo looked great in the preseason did it translate the answer for me is yes
My favorite speculative ad right now is actually Chris Hogan, who I know he took advantage of a rookie DB, but the fact that he's locked in as that wide receiver 2 for the New England Patriots, you're probably not going to get tons of production from him for the next three weeks. But when Tom Brady comes back,
Chris Hogan, we saw what Brandon LaFelle did, which is almost 1,000 yards. And Chris Hogan is an extremely talented receiver. They gave him a decent contract. You're not worried about distribution with Amandola and the other guys affecting Hogan. No. Long term, I think Chris Hogan's a guy I want to stash on my bench. And the thing about him is you can probably, you can get him, I assume, without burning your priority. But if he has another good week, then you're not going to be able to get him for free. So that's why I'm okay. If you have that burner spot.
And you don't need somebody right now from the wide receiver position. I like him. Yeah, try to get him for free as opposed to burning that waiver. I don't think you'll need it on Hogan. Hey, before we continue on, we want to remind everybody about the draft app. Andy talked about it early. We've been talking about it for the last couple weeks. And actually, in this studio, we have been talking about it for months. We've been excited for the season to get here because we actually genuinely love this. with us. It's free to download the app. The games are a buck, are five bucks, ten bucks, and it is so much easier to win. You're going in regular draft, snake order, you know, I mean, what you're used to playing and you're playing against other people who you're at an advantage over. It just feels really strategic. I want to move on to a wide receiver here who every time he caught the ball, Des Bryant owner's eyes rolled into the back of their head repeatedly. So eight times.
They rolled in the back of their head because Cole Beasley was the man for Dak Prescott. Cole Beasley eight catches, Jason Witten, nine catches, Des Bryant, one catch. Look, this is what we warned you about with a rookie quarterback. He's looking for guys out of the backfield. He's looking to hand the ball off and he's looking underneath because he wants to be safe with the ball. He's looking to not lose the game. Exactly. They don't want him to lose it. Look, Des will be okay. I'm not trading Des Bryant or dropping him for Cole Beasley.
Would you sign Cole Beasley? Would you take a flyer on him? Or do you just, I mean... If you're in a deeper league and you need those targets, look, 12 targets for Cole Beasley. I mean, that's outrageous. You know what we should do is we should start like a fantasy football kiosk in the mall. So you can like pressure people with advice from the middle kiosk. Hey, man. Have you seen some cold? Sir, you need any cold? You need any cold? I got Cole Beasley over here. What about Atage Sharp?
