Fantasy Football Podcast 2016 - Week 6 Matchups, Daily Dose, In-or-Out

He's going to be on that fringe wide receiver 2 area. So a lot of people ask, you know, we give these comparisons with players at the same position, but, you know, there are flex decisions being made every week. Let me give you one here. Would you rather play Terrell Pryor or Jonathan Stewart? Stewart. Stewart. Stewart. Yeah, I knew that was coming after you both said it that way. So you feel very confident in Stewart being able to put up numbers? Yes, I do.

Okay. Let me give you another choice here with Terrell Prior, because I think a lot of people went out and paid for him. I told people to do that, and I'm very comfortable with him. I'm fine starting Prior. I mean, honestly, the reason that I didn't choose prior there is not indicative of what I think of prior. It's I really like Jonathan Stewart this week. I'll give you a couple days, Jerry. We both have Prior, by the way, when I say we, I mean, me and you, Jason. We have them right at the fringe of Wide Receiver 2.3, so that's definitely start flex-worthy. I'll give you a couple names here. Mike hasn't buried.

Yeah, he might have to come up a little bit for me, but here you go. Prior or Chris Hogan. Oh, Prior. Prior. Prior or Mike Wallace. I think I would take Wallace this week. Prior or Robert Woods. Prior. You know, I'm going to take Robert Woods. At home, I think I will. And I got one more. One last one because it's disgusting.

But this is a guy we were talking about. No, I lied about that one, by the way. It's prior over. It's prior over Woods. All right. Take the antacid real quick. Okay. Are you going? Are you going to bring up Julio Jones? No, no, no. Okay. No, no, no, no, Devont to Adam. No. Terrell Pryor or Kenny Britt. Oh, you know what? I'm going Terrell Pryor. In a plus match. I'm going Terrell Pryor. However, what you are bringing up, you, we'll get to him when we do the matchup. Sure, sure.

I just wanted to check it real quick. Here's the thing with Terrell Pryor, and then we can move past him. You know, he came out and was on fire, like you said, that first game, eight for one, 44. The second game against Washington, he caught five for about 50. He got the touchdown that game. And then last game, he got another five receptions for another 50 yards. No touchdown, but you got to keep in mind. Cody Kessler went out, you know, clipboard Jesus came in. Yeah. I mean, that was not. And he can't do that anymore. Right. He's not on the team. Because he's not on the team.

There were other circumstances that made that game a little difficult for Terrell Pryor. I don't expect a huge blowup game, but I think he's still the centerpiece of the office. Need to get through this matchup. You comfortable with Crowell and Barnage? No. Barnage, yes. Crowell, I'm still okay playing him. So you were disappointed in last week, clearly, by that center. Yeah, but I mean, you kind of knew that was coming, but I don't expect the Titans. While I think that they're, Mariotta is a fine play. I can't see a world where the Titans.

just destroy them like the Patriots did. So Crowell will still be involved. Chiefs Raiders. Chiefs Raiders, very excited about this game. You are? I am. I think it's going to be a great game. Divisional game, the 4-1 Raiders, the Chiefs, you know, with the way they finished last year, they have Charles back, coming off the buy. I mean, you remember Andy reading the bye week, right? Yeah, I do, but he owes the by week. Give that over under. 39 and a half. I'll take the over.

Okay. I mean, I will. I'll take the over. Derek Carr has been on fire. He's the third-ranked fantasy quarterback right now. They're at home against the Chiefs coming in there. I think this game's going to be higher scoring than expected here. Very possible. I think that I would take the over because it's 39 and a half. I mean, look, the Raiders are the 32nd rank past D, 27th-ranked run D. They don't stop anybody. The Chiefs are coming off that...

atrocious performance in Pittsburgh getting just boat raced. And I don't expect that out of them at all in this game. But you cannot lock down Cooper and Crabtree. They have a weak, offside, you know, weak corner on this second wide receiver. I think this is an opportunity for this game to get up there. I certainly think that this is a game that I would start Jeremy Macklin in. I would start Travis Kelsian. And I think I have Smith kind of middle of the road in this matchup.

In this game, because there's one strong corner, one weak corner, who is it going to be between Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree? Who would you rather start? You got both on your roster for that last spot. Yeah, I take Cooper, and I'll tell you why. It's not...

necessarily based on which corner covers who on which play. It's based on the fact that it looked like the chiefs were very, very vulnerable on deep passes in that Pittsburgh game. They didn't, whatever it was, their zone coverage, they could not cover the deep ball. And Cooper's going to get down field more often than Crabtree will. So I like both wide receivers in this game. I think they're auto starts right now. I mean, they're 1A, 1B, and you can flip a coin week to week. You know, four touchdowns. Auto starts.

Four touchdowns is what Cooper could have had last week. So I have Cooper very high this week. He's my number nine wide receiver. And Crabtrees, I have him in the wide receiver too. I do as well. In the same, almost identical positions. Now, if Murray misses, are you more comfortable playing Jalen Richard or Washington? DeAndre Washington? It's certainly Washington. They're going to split the workload, maybe even 50-50. But I think that Washington is the more talented back.

And I would rather have him. He's also been slightly more involved in the passing game. So he's safer games. Even with last week, Richard outperforming him by a good amount? Yeah, yeah. That would be my, I mean, just from what I've seen on the year, I think both guys look pretty good. But I would rather have D'Andre Washington. Now, there was some news that came out yesterday out of Kansas City with the offensive coordinator basically saying, look, we're going to sprinkle Charles into the offense wherever it's best for us.

You know, I made Charles my start of the week yesterday, and that was not on the basis of RB1 numbers. I'm still comfortable streaming Jamal Charles because he doesn't take a lot from Jamal Charles to give you flex numbers. But it doesn't make me excited to hear the offensive coordinator and Andy Reid kind of speak differently than Charles does. I think this is going to be a little bit of game script here. If they get ahead and it's not on the back of Charles,

I don't know why they would use Charles is kind of what I'm saying. I think it's going to be Spencer Ware grinding the clock out if they do take a lead in this game. So that's my only concern with Charles. Yeah, I have far more concerns with Charles than I think either of you two guys. I said a week ago, I think it's going to be several weeks before he's really fantasy impact relevant. This is going to be the game where we get to see. One of us is going to be right as far as his involvement in the game. But that's where I just don't want to take that start.

while we're finding out what the truth is. I'm the more risk-adverse type of guy. And if you have Charles, presumably you've had other players to plug in to start in his stead. So I would continue doing that. Okay, fair enough. Fair enough. The Cowboys take on the Packers. Somebody on our YouTube channel yesterday said we intentionally never talk about the Packers. So let's continue that. Let's talk about the Cowboys. No.

Well, we talked about Lacey already, so I don't think we have to cover that situation. Love the Packers. Of course, of course. Dak Prescott, Aaron Rogers, what do we do fantasy-wise with the quarterback position? I know Rogers is in. He's always in. But, Dak Prescott is, you know, he's traveling up to Green Bay. It hasn't been friendly lately to Mr. Eli Manning. So can we really expect a lot out of Dak Prescott this week? I like him.

I named in my stream of the week because I think that the Cowboys are a far different team than the Giants. The Cowboys can actually run the ball. They have one of the best running backs in the league because Ezekiel Elliott is in fact leading the league in average yards per game, almost 110 yards per game on the ground. While I think that's a, this is a tough play for Elliot. He's an auto start. But going up against the first ranked Packers defense, that is.

That is a very difficult situation. I think Ellie can still get it done. But back to Dak Prescott, because of that, the Green Bay passing defense is not strong. The 24th ranked defense. Sam Shields is out again, by the way. And Sam, man, Sam, he's in trouble. He can miss the year. Yeah, that's, that is a situation. Oh, poor Shields. But, I mean, that opens things up for the passing game. When you had last week, the Packers put everything into the past defense.

And that's how they shut down the Giants because the Giants can't run the ball. You can't do that to the Cowboys or Elliott's going to run wild. So I think Dak Prescott, he doesn't make mistakes. You've had Des Bryant practicing all week. He might. He might play. He plays. In or out, I would say Bryant plays. I would as well. I statted Bryant in this game already. With that Packers run, I'll say, but I mean, which is great, then they'll have their number two wide receiver back.

You're talking about Cole Beasley. Cole Beasley. Come on, man. The number one wide receiver of my life. It's weird what these bearded men. They just pick up on weird things. Yeah. And then claim them as though. He's like, oh, nobody's, nobody's put a flag in him. I claim him. I mean, his, you know, like really good statistics and fantasy numbers every week. That's super weird. All right.

Well, hey, you know what? Maybe Cole Beasley is... As long as Dak is the quarterback, Beasley is a good play. All right. Let's talk really quick, more in depth about the Ezekiel Elliott versus the Packers run deep because this is fascinating to me. You have one of, if not the best offensive line in the league. The best or one of the best running games in the league. Something's got to give. But the Packers...

You look at it on paper, they've given up one touchdown on the ground the entire year. They have not given up 50 yards rushing on the entire year. That 46, 35, 47, and 42. However, look at the teams they've done that against. Okay, they did it in week two against Minnesota, who is a run first team, but we've seen all year that Minnesota has not been able to run the ball. Peterson got knocked out of the game. The other three teams are Jacksonville.

They're known for not being able to run the ball against anybody. Detroit, not being able to run the ball against anybody. And the New York Giants, not able to run the ball against anybody. So maybe the Green Bay monster running defense is a little bit of a facade that could be shattered this week by the Cowboys. Well, what is the stat for Ezekiel Elliott? He's averaging 109 rushing yards a game, number one in the league. It's all right.

So something's got to give. That's an interesting take on the Packers' Run D. I think I'd feel better about that if it was in Dallas. Certainly. But look, Ezekiela, it's been great. It keeps the defense so honest and gives Dak the chance to succeed. I'm excited about this game. And look, Vegas has it at a 47 point over under. That's very high. So I think they're expecting points on the board. So let's talk Packers past catchers.

Sure. Yeah, let's close that. Jordan Nelson is a must start every single week. I think he scored every week this year. I believe that's correct. If he hasn't scored a single touchdown in a week, he has scored two. Right. Yeah, and actually what they do, the NFL will extend the game if he hasn't gotten one by the end. Randall Cobb finally came back to life. Got crushed. Well, yeah, I mean, he got at the very end of the game. I've had a very strong game. I think he's going to play. He had that really nice route.

down the seam for the touchdown that was also called back on an irrelevant penalty. Oh, they call that a CJ penalty. Yeah. An old Lindberger. DeVante Adams. Lindberger? Oh, my gosh. Look, he got it done. He's getting it done. Great catch on that touchdown. He is a good wide receiver three. And that's kind of when coming into the season. It's all the pressure, man. You take the pressure off of him and he doesn't.

make those mistakes. But what do you do against the Cowboys against Cowboys D here? Because are they going to be able to replicate what they did last week against the Giants? Here's the thing. Aaron Rogers, if you watch that game, Aaron Rogers had five seconds to throw the ball every single play. And they had no pass rush. And it took five seconds to find an open receiver. Play after play after play. That's true. But you know who does not have a pass rush? Dallas Cowboys. So I'm fine with all the.

I'm fine with all three of the pass catchers. Cameron, Meredith or Devante Adams? Merritt. Ooh, I'll go Meredith. All right. The Falcons take on the Seahawks. We talked about the weather in this game. You need to monitor that a little bit. Mostly just to temper. I guess you're already tempering all your expectations for Atlanta pass catchers in this game. So maybe it doesn't even matter because I'm not starting Matt Ryan in Seattle. I'm not starting, you know, you have to start Julio Jones.

because he's Julio Jones. I mean, he will beat the coverage and he will make you mad if you don't play him. But I have him buried. I mean, I have him down my ranking list because I just don't think you're going to see the kind of performance that he's capable of because there's a cap there in Seattle. There are a few teams that I have recommended this week to sit Julio. If you have, I mean, if you have the other options, let me ask you this because this was like a cusp guy for me.
