Fantasy Football Podcast 2016 - Week 6 Matchups, Daily Dose, In-or-Out

Yep, fair enough. Jeremy Hill, I think he'll play, but he is a very dicey fan. You said he's a big sit this week for you. Yes. Yes, I agree with that. Theoretic missed another practice. Is he playing? It seems like there's a legitimate chance he might not play. The fact that they went out and signed four set. Does that mean four set? Foreset needs to be grabbed? Yes, Forset should be owned because if the, if, you know, I mean, look, Dwayne Washington's not going to play.

If Theoretic doesn't play, Amir Abdullah is obviously already on IR. All of a sudden, Justin Fawcett's a real fantasy option this week. Well, it's not like he's an inexperienced rookie either coming in. I mean, they can give him a workload. They paid him the veteran minimum, so they can do whatever they want with him. And he's happy about it because he's on a team. So who else are we talking about? Let's move on to wide receiver. Sammy Coates, do you think he's in or out?

He had swelling in the hand with the big laceration, but I would expect him to play. I do as well. All right. How about Eddie Royal? Look, he didn't practice all last week, and he played. He's playing. Is that mean he's startable against this defense in Chicago? I'm not going to start him if he doesn't practice again this week. Because what we saw last week was the targets were there, but he just wasn't as effective, as efficient with them. I think part of that's his injury. All right. Randall Cobb.

Yeah, he's returned to practice. I say he's in. Willie Sneed? He's going to be in. And he actually said that he feels very close to 100%. So that's fantastic news. All right. What about let me think here. Let's go Mike Wallace. Mike Wallace has been practicing with the non-contact injury. He's upgraded to full. And I think Mike Wallace's last practice he got in completely. Yeah, he's upgraded to full. And I think he's sneaky. I completely agree.

A sneaky snart. That's going way back. All right. Eric Eberin, in or out. He is officially out. Tyler Eifford, in or out. Out. Out. Okay. I'm going to go without. All right. Fair enough. Are we getting into the forecast now? Let's do it. Fantasy forecast. Somehow we're in week six already.

Very exciting, very fun. Time flies when you're having fun, my man. That is right. We're going to jump back into the matchups. Let's kick it off with the Ravens heading to New York to take on the Giants, the disappointing offense. There were some reports that they're going to start moving wide receivers around in the formation to try to get the ball in their hands more, yada yada. Things aren't going good. Eli Manning, you can't start him? No. No, and especially not against the Ravens. And you really can't start a running back on New York, can you? No. No, this is kind of a...

Just an overall gross matchup. There's not a lot going on that I want a part of. The only running back that I would start in a pinch is Bobby Rainey if Rashad Jennings is out. And that's scoring format. I would only start in a PPR situation. Terrence West is not a terrible play. I think that I'm trying to find him in my eye. So I have him just outside of running back two range. But like I talked about with Mike Wallace being sneaky, you had the whole offensive change. Tressman is out.

for Baltimore. And I think a lot of that was because Terrence West was carving up the defense last week, but then they stopped giving him the ball. They just forgot about him. Like Mark Trestman is one to do, so I expect him to get more touches. Based on West's success last week, how do you view Dixon moving forward? Because Dixon, obviously, he had a big brace on the knee. He was first game back. You're not going to have a lot of work. Do you still think he has a chance to overtake West in that backfield, or do you think it's going to be at best a platoon down the stretch?

He still has a chance. It's going to take some time. I mean, it feels like, and from just reading the rumors in the bushes, that Dixon's their guy moving forward. He's the future of the franchise at the running back position. But it's going to take, you're going to have to hold him for a while. Like Booker, I think he's a very high-value handcuff right now. But...

Because Wes came out with those two monster games, it wouldn't be in like two weeks that we see Dixon take over. And one of the things that I think is worth noting is last week they got away from the run like you were saying, which caused, I mean, it was so bizarre that it was part and parcel of firing their offensive coordinator. This week, I think they're going to be much more dedicated to the run. And what that means is not just for Terrence West, but I think if they had run the ball 10 more times, you wouldn't have seen.

you know, Dixon only get a carry. They're going to have to use him. So the opportunity should be there for him to flash. Tough match. Now, listen, the Ravens defense has been very good this year when it comes to yardage. You know, the Ravens are fourth against the run, fifth against the pass. They have been very good at preventing big plays. So is there a pass catcher on the Giants that you would feel comfortable starting outside of Odebuckham Jr.? Dang.

Is that who you were going to say? I was totally going to go with O'Don. You know, Cruz got shut out last week, not a good game for Shepard. I don't think there is for me. Comfortable? No. But either are they startable? Yes, but you, I'd try to find a different option. All right. If I had to pick one, it would be Shepard, but I completely agree. There's probably better. Sorry. I mean, who would you rather play? Sterling Shepard or Cameron and Meredith?

I would probably take a shot with Meredith. So would I. Yeah. So that's why we're saying you're probably not going to start. Now, we didn't mention him in and out. We should have. Steve Smith. Oh, he's out. All right. So Steve Smith out. We talked about Wallace. I think another opportunity is there for Perryman to have a better game, but not a fantasy relevant one. Let's move on to the Eagles and the Redskins. The overrunner in this game is 45. The Eagles are favored by two and a half points. Divisional Battle. Deshaun Jackson.

Revenge game. Yeah, do you buy into that narrative? Do you think Deshaun Jackson has a good game against the Philadelphia past defense ranked sixth in the league right now? I think it is very possible because you have, you had the blurb come out. Coach Gruden was saying, we got to get to Sean Jackson the ball more. That's in, I feel like, I don't know if there's like someone has actually statistically done this. But when a coach says this guy has to get the ball, they get the ball. And then you factor that, you multiply that by.

Rule 86, Jordan Reed, I don't expect him to play. Have we got an update at all on Reed? He's still in the concussion protocol. Right. It's not looking good, but, yeah, I fully expect Reed not to play. So that boost Deshaun Jackson's value and the coach is already talking him up. Plus, Deshaun Jackson is the kind of guy I feel like wants to stick it to the Eagles, even though it's not the, it's not Chip Kelly there anymore. He's still going to.

You get up. You get up to play your old team. Yeah, I mean, he's going to have the opportunity to do it, but they are a very good defense with good corners, and I think it's going to be difficult for him to really succeed, especially considering the fact that without Rule 86, yeah, they might need to go to Deshaun Jackson more, but I think it hurts Kirk Cousins game quite a bit. That's his safety blanket. That's his, you know, first or second read on most plays. Without him there, you know, might be some tough sledding for Captain Kirk.

Yeah, I mean, based on the fantasy philosophy of staying in the flames or staying in the cold, so to speak. I mean, Deshaun Jackson's had a couple bad games. Now he faces a good defense. You can write the narrative that it's a revenge game. I don't start him. I think I'd rather start Cameron Meredith. I wouldn't go that far. I would be willing to take the upside of Deshaun Jackson over a Cam Meredith. But I do agree with you. I'm sitting him in my personal league. And because he is so boom. You're the only team in that league?

Yes, it's my personal league. I'm undefeated. Wow. Yeah. Do you lead the league in points? I do. And also, my defense has been great. Shut out every opponent so far. Wow. It's incredible. Wow. Points against. Very low. The Redskins defense has allowed 5.1 yards per carry, which is almost dead last in the league. This is why Ryan Matthews is Jason's start of the week. Let's talk about Zach Ertz and Carson wins. Are they startable quarterback tied in this week? Yes.

Okay. I think, look, Ertz was very disappointing, but Ertz is one of those guys that is, he's just a weekly start for me. You'll have highs and lows, but if I have him, I play him every week. And it's a plus matchup for Carson Wentz. The Redskins are 21st against the past. So it's a situation where I'm still comfortable playing him, and as well as Jordan Matthews, who has been, after he came out on fire, has been a little bit disappointing. Before we move on.
