the go-to, but you've seen Zay Jones emerge a little bit. You've seen the running game with Josh Jacobs. And there's a chance that the Colts are undermanned in this one yet again and have a different quarterback behind center. Maybe the running game is something that the Raiders can use to win this game. Where are you out with this by cell? The collapse of targets to Hunter Renfro over the past week, I get, you know, teams are,

127 passageswhising up of, well, if we're going to stop the Raiders currently, we just have to stop Hunter Renfro because that's all Derek Carr is going to in the passing game. But to go from nine targets, 10, 14 to 5 and 3 is just absurd. Like how? And they won both games, right? Yes. Yeah, they went 2 and 0. Yeah, 16 to 14 against Cleveland and 17. So, I mean, they're not. They're not scoring a lot. No, they're not putting up big points.
They're just shutting down, you know, quarterback mediocrity, which I guess that could be them again against the Colts. But the five, I got to buy that he can get back to that five reception mark. That doesn't seem like a very high bar here for Hunter Renfro, despite the...
The disappointing target volume of the past couple weeks. Yeah, I would agree with this. Indy is better against the run, so I don't think they'll be able to game plan. Like you're saying, the last two weeks, they've been able to run, score a few points, but play good defense. And I don't think they're going to be able to just implement that same strategy this week. There's, you know, the possibility that Darren Waller would be back, which I think would just say you can no longer.
double cover hunter renfro um and focus on him i think the five bar is a is a easy one for him to hit i will sell it zay jones nine targets against cleveland eight against denver seven the week before five the week before like he's hit that five or more number three straight times i'm not sure that the team is focused on renfro getting his as much as those short area targets just being completed so
I will sell it against a Colts team that's probably, like I think this game is going to be not as many offensive possessions as people want. So I think five is going to be, he could definitely hit it, but I'll be the difference between the three of us and sell this one. Just talked about this before the show when looking at different starter options. Core Darrell Patterson, surprise sensation on the year, taking on a Buffalo defense that has been, dare I say,
atrocious against running backs, just bleeding points against running backs for the last half of season. The bar is set low here. Corderole Patterson is a top 24 running back, which he's been in 10 of 14 games, but had the juicy matchup against Detroit. I remember watching this game hoping for Cordero to have production, and every time I blinked, a quarter was over. Like this game flew by, and...
He was the running back 56 at San Francisco the week before. 31 at Detroit. Just 22 opportunities. That was with a touchdown. He was the running back 31 and he got a touchdown. He only had 14 rushing yards on seven carries. So he was able to chunk two yards per carry against the Detroit Lions, which was an upgrade over his previous week of 1.6 yards per carry. So it has not been good. And on the real...
problem here because all season long it's been touchdowns and receptions that have really propped up cordarral patterson and two targets each of the last two weeks not enough to put him over that mark um that being said okay i think the the bar being set at 24 the volume has still been there enough uh you know
21, 13, only nine opportunities this last week. But that was, it was just like Andy was saying. That game, that game flew by. Possessions were sparse. And I think against the Buffalo Bills, you're going to need to have several drives at the end of the game where he's going to be targeted. So I think he will be a top 24 running back on the week. It's poetic that he was the running back 31 because what needs to be brought up is Cordero Patterson is about to turn 31 years old.
And it's been an incredible season, very, very pleased for the man to get to get this level of success. But is it possible that someone who, like, he hasn't trained, you know, kind of his whole life to be that running back, to get this amount of wear and tear, get these carries to get hit this many times in a game. He's been an offensive weapon, a kick returner, a wide receiver.
I think it is possible that his body is just to the point of things are starting to catch up to him and take the toll on him. So I'm going to sell it. I'm going to sell it. There's guys off of the waiver that I would be more confident in playing than Cordero Patterson. And that sucks because Patterson has been, Patterson has carried people into the playoffs and into the championship.
not carries you through the playoffs, but he got you to where you are. So it's difficult to pivot at this point. But I'm going to sell. Andy has the best, you know, example here. He's in the championship. He's got Cordero. What are you doing? How are you viewing Cordero this weekend? You've probably done the most personal research on this topic. It's brutal because Buffalo has been bleeding points to the running back position. But Corderole is not a traditional running back. I mean, what Damien Harris did last week against Buffalo.
is not the recipe for a successful day for Cordero. And he feels like the biggest case of like, you play him because he got you there. And that could still be a mistake for your team. So I think at the beginning of this story, like the bar of top 24, like, cool, you might buy it. He might get in there. That doesn't mean he helps you win the week. And if you play somebody else that's a top 15, top 12 back over him, you know, maybe it's a Jeff Wilson with Elijah Mitchell out.
You know, I think maybe it's a Ronald Jones. Like you can't just award him like seniority on your roster at this point. And I think, and you know how much I hate to say this, Mike. But I think you made a really good point. Oh. The team, the team has come out and said like, which was bewildering in the middle of a playoff race. Right. For the head coach to come out and say, we're managing snaps for our veterans. Like, what?
Like you're trying to make the playoffs. Like why in the world do you need to manage Cordero Patterson snaps? But that's the mentality. And you know that Mike Davis is going to get 10 opportunities. So I don't know. I think that there's good reason to pivot if you have an option here. And I think I'm going to have to have the courage to do it. Like if Elijah Mitchell is out, I'm going to play Jeff Wilson over Cordero. Okay.
Yeah, there's three names that come to mind for me that I would play over Cordero. I'm still buying him as a top 24, but Jeff Wilson, Ronald Jones, for sure, and Elijah Penny are three guys kind of- Elijah Penny? Sorry, Rashad Penny. Are three guys, you know, out of nowhere. Daryl Williams? Yeah, I would take Daryl Williams as well over-I would.
What about flex type of decision asking for a friend? Devante Smith at Washington, who's 30th against receivers. Washington just gave up 50 points to the Dallas wide outs. And what would you do there? Personally, I would go Cordero there. Personally, I would play Devontz Smith. Cool. Thanks, guys. I'll let my friend know your solid advice there, you sons of guns. All right, I will officially.
I'm going to sell top 24. That was by yourself from pristineauction.com. Use our code ballers. Get a $10 credit over there. Let's talk news. News and notes from around the league. Presented my sleeper. No more valuable time to have the breaking news alerts on your phone than what happened this morning because waiver wires are going through. And by the time you hear this, they probably went through.
One player we talked a lot about was Isaiah McKinsey yesterday. Suddenly, Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis have both been removed from the COVID list. The NFL and the NFLPA agreed to reduce the amount of time that players must quarantine from 10 to 5, those players that have tested positive, which lines up with the new guidance from the CDC, which means a whole new world for teams being able to bring guys back sooner.
Get them cleared by the medical team, which is a requirement. But Beasley and Gabe Davis are back, which deletes Isaiah. Yeah, you're going to see a lot of guys here testing positive Monday morning and playing that next week on Sunday. So it's, this was the case where.
If Cole Beasley was back, Isaiah McKinsey is not playable. He only goes into that role if Cole Beasley is gone. Cole Beasley's back. So hopefully you saw our tweets about it before your waivers went through and adjusted accordingly. Carson Wins added to the COVID list. He is unvaccinated. And the NFL did come out and say the majority of all positive tests were players that tested due to symptoms.
So this isn't a case of like the majority of people being out of the list are just asymptomatic. They're just catching them. We don't know. I mean, unless you guys have heard something new. Haven't heard. It seems more likely that Carson Wins will not be behind center against the Raiders on Sunday, which means somebody else will have the privilege of handing the ball off to Jonathan Taylor.
which will probably be enough for that team, but it gives me no confidence in Michael Pitt. Yeah, the COVID protocols changed kind of just after the news of Carson Wince's positive test came out. So he does have. Well, do we know that he was added to the list? That's what I have not heard. Did he test positive or was he a close contact? I don't think we have a confirmation on that. But I do still think that Carson Wins with the new protocols has a.
has a decent chance of playing Sunday. I would watch the transactions, right? Like see if they're activating a practice squad quarterback up or signing anybody that'll kind of, it's usually the telltale sign. We'll try to pay attention to that. And this is just another reminder we had talked about on the waiver show. You need to have options. The Colts, it's Marlon Mack, now Carson Wentz, there could be more players coming up, and you don't want Friday.
a report saying Jonathan Taylor has added to the COVID list and you're rolling into your championship week and you thought you were good to go. Get naim Hines. We hope Taylor's going to play. But you need to be ready just in case that situation comes up. According to Tom Pelliserro, he is referring to Carson Wins as one of the players like their linebackerius Leonard that did test positive for COVID-19. So that is a report from Tom Pellasero.
But you're right. Yeah, you have to be, you have to be planning for eventualities here with players that are showing up on this list. Pat Fryermuth did go on Instagram to say he's going to be there Monday night. All the mute is loose. He's back, baby. So Monday night? That's Monday night. I mean. Yeah. Championship week, hopefuls. I mean, unless you get, I need the team to come out and verify this because.
Muth is not like an auto start every week for me. So he could be Luth. It could be. You got to get that clear. That might not be the truth. I mean, you got to get the clear. You got to hear he has cleared the protocol before Sunday's matchups. I would imagine we would, we'll know that before having to make those start and sit decisions on Sunday. If he is active, you know, usually players coming back off the concussion.
I view differently than players coming back off of a hamstring or some kind of soft tissue issue. I'm more likely to just view him as I viewed him, you know, when he last played. All right.
