He pulled in 16% of the reception. So, like, that's solid. And David Johnson is the best pass catching running back on the team. But there are so many reasons to not believe in him. And there were so many reasons not to believe in him last year. But when he was on the field, he was good for fantasy football. So he has a wild card of I don't know, I don't know what to do with David Johnson. I hope he's great. Sure. I just, I hope everybody's great, except for Zach Kurtz. No, I mean, I.

They have collected a bunch of interesting names in the back field. Philip Lindsay, got Marking's room. Philip Lindsay still has juice. That's the thing. Like Philip Lindsay's going in that room and like, who's all these old guys? He has, but Phil Lindsay is also older himself. 27, yeah. Rex Burckhead. Yeah, Rex Burkhead was just added to the team. Oh, gosh. But while Philip Lindsay definitely has rushing juice, he is not. That's a weird phrase. It's a weird phrase. But he is not.

Does he drop it, you know, dump it down? Man, can we muse for just a second on the, on the Watson situation? Sure. Is that all right? I know that that's like been a, it's a messy situation. It's gross. We've been down this road. I mean, not this exact road. Yeah. But we've been down a number of messy situation roads. What I want to muse on is not so much the specifics of the off.

the field case. But I mean, what I want to talk about is what an awkward position the Denver Broncos brass would be in right now. Because if... You can't trade for him. No, I know. I know you kind of can't. But think about what position they're in. You win a Super Bowl. Or you're at least... That's what I'm saying. You're a contender. You all have jobs as the general manager and as the, you know, all of these leaders of the team.

You have Drew Locke. You know what it takes to win at the NFL level and you know that Watson possesses that physical on the field ability. You don't know what the outcome of this off the field thing is. But here you are. You're sitting there and you have to figure out how to win at the NFL level. And this talent is dangling there. And this is not just the Broncos. This would be other teams too going, uh, when is it okay for me to make this move? Yeah, that's.

Never. I mean, it's one of those things where it would be super tough because if I was the general manager, you know it makes your team better and you know you can't do it. So that's really difficult. But somebody will do it eventually. And he will 100%. I think he'll get back on the field at some point in time. I think there was a time this off season. I thought he would never play again. But that's in the range of outcomes. Like how do you trade for a player that may never see the field?

No, that's the problem. And like, at the, at the pace of which the legal things happened, like, to me the most, to me the outcome, at least for this year, is commissioners exempt list for Watson. We've seen that happen to players several times while everything is trying to get figured out. And so that's a whole year of, you still can't trade for that player. Yeah, I mean, that's what I see is that I think he's going to end up on the commissioner exempt list as well.

It's very possible. But I don't know. I mean, we've been down, we've been down roads in every sport with situations like this. We had Big Ben go through situations. I think the most likely off-the-field outcome is some sort of settlement, some sort of punishment from the league. And then Watson is going to be playing someplace else at some point in time. And look, he's not in our rankings if you go. Because we don't know what's happening.

But man, what a tough position as a general manager at some point in time to be like, will my fan base accept this? Yeah, I mean, let's say he's reinstated. He settles in. They give him a six game suspension and let's just say. And then six games are over. And he's allowed to come back. Right now. Right now that. Right now you can trade for him. And the NFL says he can start. Oh, everyone's fighting for him. 100%. That's, that's, that's tough. I think that there's a decent chance that happens before the season.

that you know all of that stuff, and then there's going to be a battle for Deschelle Monson. Good. Because, you know, unfortunately, you know, we don't control it, but your ability for teams to forgive and put you back on the field is proportionate to the level of talent that you have. If it's not worth it to the team, they just boot you to the sideline. But if it's worth it to the team to get through it,

That is 100% the sad truth. I mean, we've seen it too many times. If you're not talented and you do something wrong, you're out of the league. I mean, we were sitting here thinking Tyree Kill would never play football again. Right. Oh, yeah. Wait for an off season going, yeah, there's zero percent. Not only will he never play football again, but there's zero percent chance he gets a contract extension. And both of those things happen. Yep. Winnie is the number one or number two wide receiver drafted. Exactly. Winning changes things. Winning changes things. Yeah, absolutely. So, yeah, it's going to be, I mean, we.

We're along for a different roller coaster ride with one of these every off season, and that's super unfortunate. Yeah, if they could stop doing that. It's our least favorite part of this job is when these things come up and people want to know what you. I mean, we don't know. We don't know what's going to happen here. We don't know what happened, really, and we don't know what's going to happen. So if you don't know either of those, you don't really talk about it, right? Right. You don't know what happened and what's going to happen? Not a lawyer. No, no, not at all. Bird law, but. Bird law, yeah. Wow, car.
