Chris Thompson will come in, eat into Leonard Fournett's role this season. However, I was going to say. For three games. The injury is a real, it's a real thing for Chris Thompson. Yeah, I'm not expecting.

him to stay around for all 16 this year. They would need to add another significant running back piece to let Fornett go. Agreed. Yes. Even if, you know, Jay Gruden loves Chris Thompson, that means he's aware of the risks of Chris Thompson. But it's a big signing. And like you said, you're no longer in the position to just project the default same Leonard Fournette from last year after all of these transactions. Yeah, I agree. I do think right now their plan is to just run him into the ground, though.

Did I see Jason visually perk up when you said Trubisky's fifth year was declined? I mean, I was shocked when it was declined, not because it's...

Yeah, I mean, his option should have been declined. He's not a very good quarterback. And to, you know, pay him good first round money is tough. But I still expected them to do that because they're so pot committed to him and, you know, from trading up and selecting him over Mahomes and everyone else. This news to me gives me so much more belief in the competition between him and Nick Foles that I projected Nick Foles. I did not project Mr. Biskey.

Did you go all in? I have a split. All in on Nick Foles. I split as well. I gave each one eight games, and I have done the Bears. Yeah, yeah. So there were a number of players whose fifth year options were exercise, Mike Williams, Pat Mahomes, Deshaun Watson. OJ Howard and Evan Ingram and David and Joku, all three of those players, those three tight-ins who were supposed to be traded or off of the team that they currently are on. Like, no, no, we're going to.

Keep them. Also, we're going to keep them next year. Yeah. What? That's weird. They should just go, like Tampa should send OJ. Howard to the Giants. The Giants should send Ingram to Cleveland. Yes. They should send Injoku to Tampa Bay. And they should just try them in a new spot. You know what I mean? Absolutely. Maybe it'll work out. Everybody wins. You're all getting a, you're all getting a really talented tight end who might.

Two other bits of kind of speculative news we can talk about briefly before we jump into the dynasty differences. At least according to the chief's general manager, Damien Williams will remain the starter. Clyde Edwards-Alair will compete for playing time. Do these comments matter? Does this change anything that you already had envisioned in your head?

This is 100% what I expected them to do. So it doesn't change. And I have projected Kansas City and Clyde Edwards came out a lot higher than I thought he was going to project. Let me guess. That was the first team you did and the first player you did on your projections because you were very excited to stand out Clyde Edwards. As excited as I have been, I've been trying to.

at least pump the brakes a little bit when I'm talking about redraft. He was still easily my dynasty 101 in rookie drafts, but I felt like Kansas City would give Damien Williams the starting job, and it wouldn't just right away be Aller, but I do believe that Edwards Aller will take over the starting job sooner than later. I just see Damian Williams a situation where they are protecting the ego. You contributed to a championship, but, you know,

Hold this clipboard, Damien. I promise this is more important than you actually being out there on the field. This is the lead back job right here. Hold this thing. It might take some time. We've said that on the show. It might take a little bit of time for the volume to increase for Clyde Edwards-Hillard. But if you believe in the talent, I know, I do. I do. And it represents something different than what Damien Williams brings to the table. So they can be very complimentary. Damien could end up being.

you know, relevant for fantasy for a time. And to be factored in here, what we still don't know about the NFL, what does the offseason look like? What does training camp look like for these teams? If, like, is it, do we get into July and it's just all systems go? Right. Then, then Edwards O'Leer has an opportunity to establish himself. If it has to be modified, then.

These incumbents are going to have a much easier time holding onto their starting role, at least for the first, like, 25% of the season or so. That could end up being the case in a lot of battles, a lot of situations that, you know, might take weeks into the season that could have been figured out in open training camp and preseason games that we might not get to see. That'll be something to monitor and watch those situations for sure. Yep. And then...

This is interesting to me. Frank Wright came out, says he envisioned second round Jonathan Taylor and Marlon Mack to serve as a one-two punch. This is not Marlon Mack will remain the starter, but Jonathan Taylor will, quote, compete for playing time. That's fair. So having those stories back to back, you know, if you believe in the talent of Jonathan Taylor is the same story as believing in the talent for Clyde Edwards-Aler and that the future is with Taylor, Mac is part of the present only.

Yeah, I mean, I think both of these situations, you would, you have this hope that they're going to come out and say, you know what, we didn't draft him for no reason. We're going to ride, you know, our new guy. But that rarely happens. Usually you want to talk up the vet and, you know, I think both players will be limited by their backups, that being Mack and Damien Williams, in year one. And but they are the future. And I think these head coaches.

are aware of that and will as the season goes on make them the centerpiece of that position. Yeah, it's going to be pretty interesting to see how those two play out. I don't know how long we'll talk about each guy, but.

We'll see where the conversation takes us. We'll start with Ryan Tannahill, quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, just signed to a four-year $118 million deal. Right now, the consensus ranking in Dynasty is the 16th quarterback. Mike and Jason both have him at 15 range, and I've got him at 23. So that is a significant difference. Last year, we know the story. It was pretty magical.

You know, he started week 7 through 17 in Tennessee. It was a Nick Foles-esque type of season. That's what it reminds me of that Philadelphia year. High touchdown totals, extremely low interception totals. I've taken a posture and position with Ryan Tannehill in Dynasty leagues where he has not earned it for me. And so I think that's why the gap is there. A span of games last year, 10 games.

unsustainable efficiency numbers. I've simply made the decision that I've seen enough of Ryan Tannahill over the preceding seven years that I'm not willing to let those 10 games move him forward. It's not worth the risk to me. That's why I have him lower than both of you guys do. I don't think that he can continue to do what he did at the end of last year. I don't think we've seen a lot of players do that.

It was a magical run, but the numbers are going to come down for him. And we've talked a lot about Tennessee in general. So I guess I'd be curious as to whether you're granting that level of success with that ranking or that's your version of a tempered ranking. Because that's what it seems like to me. 1415, that's not giving him, that's not anointing him by any stretch. No, for me, it's like, I believe in Ryan Tanyhill, the player. I honestly believe we were.
