Deucers Alley opens three deep
The regular three-host desk names Al Borland, Papa Josh, and the Falcon in Deucers Alley. Direct video cuts to a three-human producer row at 00:49, providing a clean physical establishing shot without safely mapping each named producer to a particular seat.
moment
Eight-and-zero still means 1,049th
Jason's Megalobowl team is undefeated and has 532 points, yet it sits only 1,049th in the more-than-20,000-team field. The 622-point leader's rendered name and CrazyJoe99 prompt a joke that 98 earlier Crazy Joes each became progressively crazier.
moment
Kyle reads Jason's stash-list mind
Kyle comes on microphone and tries to recover a preseason list of three players Jason said could win leagues. Trey Benson and Sean Tucker are named, Kyle finds Will Shipley as the third, and Jason declares that Kyle read his mind while the desk notes two names are already relevant four weeks in.
moment
Andy will probably never apologize to Arizona
Andy explains that he was furious as both a Cardinals fan and fantasy analyst when Trey Benson was absent from the closing offense. Learning that Benson was hurt gives him some hope about the team's intentions, but when asked whether he will apologize, he answers not yet and probably never.
moment
Almost Upset becomes Revolutionary War revenge
Andy cannot use Baltimore over Houston because Houston has become the favorite, so his Almost Upset moves to Cleveland over Minnesota in London. The overseas venue launches a historical grievance: London should get wrecked, the hosts threaten more tea, prefer New York to old York, and plan to tour Revolutionary War sites.
moment
Myles Garrett wears Carson Wentz like a tauntaun
The Browns pick reaches a deliberately inappropriate conclusion: Myles Garrett will be inside Carson Wentz, wear him like a tauntaun or sleeping bag, haunt his nightmares, wear his skin, and apply the lotion. Mike is explicitly thanked for supplying the tauntaun comparison.
moment
Trey Benson news interrupts the Thursday preview
Trey Benson's injured-reserve placement arrives while the hosts are previewing 49ers–Rams. They call for a button, label it breaking news, revisit the demand for an apology, and then enumerate an unnamed League of Record manager's accumulating Malik Nabers, Joe Burrow, James Conner, and Ja'Marr Chase disasters.
moment
The private Blobfish nickname goes public
The hosts reveal that 'the Blobfish' means Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing and admit the disrespectful nickname had been kept private until now. Petzing's claim that offense is evaluated by whether the team scores more points triggers Mike's disbelief, a warning not to watch the video, and a meditation-versus-ratings exchange.

Episode notes
All three regular hosts are named and visibly present. The opening also names Al Borland, Papa Josh, and the Falcon in Deucers Alley; a direct-video check shows a three-person producer-row cutaway at 00:49, although the shot does not label individual seats. Jason is undefeated in the Megalobowl yet still outside the top thousand with 532 points; the leaders 'Dude Without' and CrazyJoe99 inspire a lineage of 98 progressively crazier Joes. Kyle later reads Jason's mind by recovering the third name from Jason's preseason list of three players who could win leagues, and the desk notes that Trey Benson and Sean Tucker are already relevant four weeks in. Andy admits his Cardinals end-game fury and declines to apologize even after learning Trey Benson was hurt. His Almost Upset ritual first stalls because Houston is favored at Baltimore, then lands on Cleveland over Minnesota in London. That international setting becomes Revolutionary War trash talk: London is told to get wrecked, tea is threatened, New York is preferred to old York, and the hosts plan a tour of revolution sites. The pick culminates in body horror as Myles Garrett is forecast to be inside Carson Wentz, wear him like a tauntaun or sleeping bag, wear his skin, and apply the lotion. During the Thursday preview, Trey Benson's injured-reserve news arrives live and prompts a breaking-news button plus a League of Record inventory of one unidentified manager's Malik Nabers, Joe Burrow, James Conner, and Ja'Marr Chase losses. Checked frames retain the routine 49ers–Rams matchup lower-third rather than showing a dedicated breaking-news graphic. The Cardinals frustration then supplies the episode's strongest new nickname: the hosts reveal that 'the Blobfish' is offensive coordinator Drew Petzing, admit the disrespectful nickname had previously stayed private, and make it public while Mike attacks Petzing's win-based evaluation of offense. Direct video likewise shows only the ordinary matchup graphic, not a blobfish image. The line 'Let's let Jay take it' occurs during a rapid host call-and-response; checked video remains on the regular three-host split with no Jay Griz cutout, fill-in, or camera package, so it is not treated as a Jay appearance or sound drop. Routine fantasy advice is omitted.
That's great. Because the Cardinals, when we lost the other game, we scored two points from our defense. Yeah. He's like, well, we're two... We've done it twice and we didn't do it twice. Mike is... Mike can't handle the blobfish. I'll tell you that right now. It... How do these... How do these people maintain their jobs? Like, these are... Well, to be honest, they don't. They don't for long. There are a lot of other ways to measure an offense. Right? Yeah. Than just, did you score more than the other team? Yeah. It's like, did you score more than, like... I don't know.
What an idiotic thing to say. More than the bottom third of the league. Your defense could have turned the ball over onto five and then you get a touchdown. You're like, look how great our offenses. Get out of here. It's ridiculous. You cannot evaluate an offense that way. In fact, a couple years ago, we saw this with the Philadelphia Eagles. They were undefeated. I think they were 7-0. They were doing great coming off of a Super Bowl loss. Defense playing great. But their offense looked bad. Like, their defense was playing good. Did they come out and say that their offense was amazing?
Because that's what Petsing would have been. Yeah, I mean, it was like... We're like pooching. You saw it and you were like, this offense... And honestly, it's what's happening right now, again, with the Eagles, where you're watching the offense. You're going, okay, I know you're winning, but your offense looks really bad. No, Mike, don't watch the video. It'll get you... It'll put you in the state of mind that Jason was in on Monday. You don't want that. No, I need... I gotta meditate, man. It's good for the ratings, apparently. Some breathing. All right, we're going to jump into the mailbag.
Mailbag. Yeah. Presented by NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV. If you've got a question for the show, it's easy. Go to the website, thefantasyfootballers.com. Click the Submit a Question button, or you can dial the voicemail hotline, 302-464-TFFB. Let's jump in with a voicemail question to kick it off. Hey, footballers. Dylan here. I was calling because I'm really into Judkins. I wanted to know what you would be willing to give up for him, and in that line, who would you rather have, Kenneth Walker or Judkins rest of season? Thanks. That's a pretty easy Judkins for me. I think it's fair. Man.
It's probably... So it's a Judkins versus Ken Walker rest of season. It might be Judkins. Yeah, I think it is. I think it's very, very close. It would be Judkins for me. I'm looking at our rest of season rankings, and I've got him ahead. We'll take a quick break and jump into the rest of the Mailbag. What's up, Foot Clan? PrizePix is the only app that offers stacks, meaning you can pick the same player up to three times in the same lineup.
I've been doing that to great success with Justin Herbert. You want to pick more of a quarterback's passing yards and rushing yards and touchdowns? Now you can do them all in the same lineup, only on PrizePix. And, FootClan, if you want to play along with us around the studio parts, we've been looking at usually a weekly projection of about five and a half, six and a half rushing yards on Jordan Love. That one, don't change it. Don't change it out there. Download PrizePix apps today and use code FOOTBALLERS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup.
That's code FOOTBALLERS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. PrizePix. It's good to be right. All right. Our next question comes from Brady. Starts it question. Start Jordan Mason against that Cleveland defense in England. Or Quinch on Judkins against the Minnesota defense in the same game. So, another Judkins question. Mason, Judkins, what are you doing? Man, the Dylan Gabriel variable is... It does matter. I mean, Joe Flacco has been bad. But I still think that defense has paid attention. And if they feel like... If Gabriel is the quarterback, they can just fully sell out to stop the run.
That could be... It could be an issue for Judkins. I mean, haven't they done that the last two weeks? They've done that for Joe Flacco. You don't need to stop Joe Flacco. And also, the Cleveland Browns rush defense is... Yeah. They're the number one in the league. And they have shut down... It's not like... Kenny Gainwell just went ham on Minnesota. Yeah. They have not been a good rush defense this year. Easy Judkins for me. Mason is... He's not a must bench. But he is an absolute... This week, I'm looking at my roster. And I'm saying, do I have someone else to put in?
Because if I do, I'm going to throw in a Cam Scadaboo. I'm going to throw in guys who haven't necessarily been as good as Mason so far. But they shut down the Detroit Lions. They shut down the Packers and Josh Jacobs. They shut down Derrick Henry. Like, so far, people are not doing well against the Cleveland Browns. Yeah, I have Judkins higher for the week. Drew and Illinois. Hey, ballers. I'm having a rough bye week and going to have to start at least one of these nasty boys in the flex this week. Please pick one of the following for full PPR.
Ready for the nasty boys? Mm-hmm. Travis Hunter. Okay. Malik Washington. Mm-hmm. Harold Fannin. I know that if I had those guys on my roster, I would start Malik Washington. Oh, that's funny. That's what I would do. I feel like he's in third place for me. The PPR. Gabriel, man, that matters. If it was Joe Flacco, it would be an easy hero. Yeah, I agree. I mean, Travis Hunter isn't even starting. Right. He is. He's playing very limited snaps. They seem very confused on how to use him right now. They do seem confused, but if last game is any indication, they basically stopped playing
him on defense in the second half. And they moved him to basically just be an offense towards the end of that game. And he was still a halftime. But on the game, it was still like half of it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. By the end of the game, still 56% of snaps. So wait, what's your order then? I go Malik Washington, Harold Fannin, Travis Hunter. I'm going to go Fannin, Hunter Washington. I think Malik's at the top for me. So I'm with Andy. All right, we'll jump into a voicemail. What's up, ballers? This is Josh from New York. I am in a dynasty super flex league.
So this is a real question that I'm facing. Would you start Jake Browning or Cooper Rush? Love the show. Bye. Cooper Rush. Who's Browning play? Doesn't matter. Could be your grandmother. He plays against the Detroit Lions. He scored five fantasy points two games in a row. If he's playing Alabama this week, I'd play Cooper Rush. What about when he was the last time we saw him as a starter? I just want to remind us because he played two of the best defenses in the league. And he's got a tough defense. I'm not playing Jake Browning this week. But I do think after this week, it will open up for him.
We saw him start seven games back in 2023. He was the quarterback four, quarterback four, quarterback eight, quarterback 21, quarterback eight, quarterback nine. He's not going to score five fantasy points every time. No, but the last time we saw him play was actually the last few weeks. And those are the ones I care about. Yeah. I'm just saying those also were great defenses. Yeah. Either way, it's Cooper Rush this week. Yeah. He might have forgotten how to do the football thing. I mean, that has to be one of your interpretations, right? He's forgotten how to do the football thing is one answer to why it's been so, so bad.
Now, I will say this. In 2023, there's no way that their offensive line was as bad as it is right now. And so that's going to happen the rest of this season. Bad defenses might look good against them. This is a good question. Starts it from you to Matthew writes in. Would you rather start Bo Nix against Philadelphia in Philly or Daniel Jones at home against the Las Vegas Raiders? Because Bo Nix had a good week, but Philly's a tough matchup. You've seen him flounder at times. I think Bo Nix is going to be okay. Are you playing him? Okay.
Are you playing him this week? No, because I'm playing Justin Fields against Dallas. Oh, yeah. That seems like a good thing. The Dallas matchup makes that easy. But Bo Nix is not an abandon at all costs this week, but Daniel Jones is, I think, a better option this week. I think that's well said. You don't have to bench Bo Nix, but Daniel Jones looks like he's got more upside and a safer path. Yeah, you've got to remember last week, one of the worst-looking matchups was a talented Dak Prescott against a top-tier defense without his top wide receiver. You know, sometimes things work out, and sometimes you have to come back in a game and you're throwing the ball all over the place.
So Bo Nix, they're a good enough offense where I don't think they're going to completely collapse. Who do you prefer rest of season? We just got the Braylon Allen news. James writes in, says, Brees Hall, Travis Etienne. Who would you rather have rest of the season? Oh, wow. We know that the schedule had been pretty good for Etienne, but then he had another big game. He's played very, very well. Brees Hall does not have Braylon Allen to contend with. Kansas City, Seattle, the Rams the next three weeks. We talked about Etienne on the Dynasty pod. Did you? Yeah, of pointing out.
I don't want to take anything away from Travis Etienne or what the Jags have done, but they played Carolina, the Bengals, Houston, and San Francisco. Like, this happens every year in fantasy football. Someone starts out real hot, and because we don't have enough knowledge to know which ones are the defenses. And then you look back when a player falls off, and you go, oh, well, they started with what turned out to be more cupcake matches this year. And the next three are very, very tough for Etienne. Yeah, I mean, San Francisco's a pretty good defense. They're okay. Yeah, and he torched them.
So I don't think it's going to be terrible. I have both these guys in my Dynasty League. They're my running back two and three, and I would prefer Brees Hall. Yeah, that's where I am as well. Hopefully, you know. They're both great. Yeah, exactly. Hopefully, they're both great. But if I had to pick one, especially without Braylon Allen, it's Brees. Instagram trade question from Ramir. Is CeeDee Lamb from Ramir and Hampton a fair trade? If you really need a running back, I wouldn't do it. You wouldn't do it if you had CeeDee? No. Oh, I'd be totally fine. I thought it was actually the other side that you were.
Oh, really? Yeah, because I value running backs more than wide receivers, and I think Hampton's a potential top five, six, seven back the rest of the season. And you get games that you're not going to have CeeDee. So, I actually, based on that conversation, super fair trade. Sure. Fair trade. For two people to disagree on who wins. Yeah, exactly. I don't think it is completely unfair. I'd be on the CeeDee Lamb side. What's funny is, would you trade Justin Jefferson? Same question, Justin Jefferson for Ramir and Hampton. Yeah, I would do that. Yeah, I mean, and Jefferson's healthy. And was drafted higher than CeeDee.
Yeah. In some leagues. But you see the quarterback play difference. I'm still. Dak is playing so, so, so well. I'm still so excited for my CeeDee Lamb-Dak stack that I'm, you know, I'm not moving off of that. I know it's been tough sledding and you've got to get through this injury. But, I mean, we just saw it with Dak and George Pickens last week. There's going to be potential outputs that are like when Dak and CeeDee a couple years ago won people their leagues. It's not going to be Jamar Chase and Joe Burrow anymore. So, if you're like, who's the best stack to have by the end of this year?
You know, it's not Stafford and Puka because Stafford doesn't end up finishing usually great for fantasy. I know. It's not an argument against CeeDee Lamb. Yeah, yeah. It's an argument for Omari and Hampton who's been a top, I mean, RB6, RB5 last two weeks. And it's only going to get better, I think. Man, do you realize the snap count for Hampton last week? I would imagine it was 80? Probably higher. 90? Lower. Okay. 89. Yeah. He is the Najee absence, big, big workload. YouTube question from Jacob. What is Bill worth in a Dynasty League? Less than he was a couple weeks ago.
Well, and also, I would say not that much. I like Bill more. It's so funny for a player like this to exist. But I prefer the rookie more in redraft than I do in Dynasty, which that's a rare thing. Usually a rookie is even more valuable in Dynasty. You've got a long career ahead of him. But this is, we talk about it all the time with guys that break out on day three or later undrafted. They're usually replaced in their career. You know, maybe Bill Krosky can end up being incredible. And just, he takes over the role by the end of the year and they double down and say,
you're our Bucky Irving and you're going to be our future. That is in the range of outcomes. That is not my expected outcome here. I think this team is desperate for a running back. And next year, they're going to either on the free agent market or in the draft, invest in a running back that will make him irrelevant. Would you start Chris Olave against the Giants or Alec Iomaner against Arizona? That would be Olave for me. Yeah, I would start Olave. Olave is getting incredible volume. I mean, the Puka stat, the player of first read targets, the guy who was tied for second is Chris Olave.
Olave is on pace for 182 targets. These are not super valuable targets, but... Yeah, they're thrown by a snake. Well, it's becoming his thing. It's actually becoming who Chris Olave is. Because you were at 5.7 a catch last year. You're at 6.7 a catch this year. This is the new Chris Olave to some degree. And part of it is, like you said, it's Spencer Rattler or... I think it was a Derek Carr-Spencer Rattler combination. But it's also like, you've seen this. I mean, there becomes a point in certain players' careers where they're not the downfield guy anymore. You know, you have much better downfield players.
Rasheed Shahid is a better downfield player than Chris Olave is. Yeah, I can agree with that. I think the area of the field where Olave is very good and is not good with the current quarterback situation is not the deep shot, but the mid-range. You know, the middle level, that 15-yard reception where I think he can thrive and I don't think the quarterback can get it to him right now. That was today's Mailbag.
