Goodness gracious. So Jeremy Bernard. I'm going back to Jeremy Bernard. I'm going back to Jeremy Bernard, huge pickup. I think Kendrick Bourne is a huge pickup. I agree with that. Because he had eight targets this past week. And in the absence of Marvin Harrison, he had already had some productive games. Arizona passes a million times a game because they have no running game. And look, eight targets. You can't.

104 passagesIgnore that. You're going to have the Arizona Cardinals and high over unders every single week. Their defense is abysmal. I mean, they have given up 45 points, 36 points, 36 points, 31 points in a row. So, yeah, you want a wide receiver who's going to be on the field getting targets. I like that a lot. So, uh, born is my number two wide receiver this week. Yeah, I think that is a huge pickup. And then some other names to remember.
I mean, Dantavian Wix has just been 50% rostered all year and we'll stay there. He always has the potential to have a nice game. He did have eight targets this past week. We just talked about Devante Smith returning. Also, Goddard's back. And you saw how frequently Goddard was targeted in this offense. I still am kind of lukewarm on Wix, Jason. I know you were a little more bullish, maybe just the opportunity every week, a starting wide receiver. I get that. But what about Darius Cooper who's?
Like Darius Cooper just went two for 71, scored another touchdown. How does he keep doing it? I don't know. I mean, I, he just, you, you can't project a guy. He played the most. He has seven catches. He has seven catches on the year. And he has four touchdowns. Seven catches. I mean, how do you not start? No, but yeah, seven catches on the season is, is tough. I would, you know, I, I think the entire season, Dantavian Wicks is going to continue having his role.
He's going to be on the field. He's going to get deep shots. So he's like, Jeremy is a player who we hope could break out and be better. If Duvante Smith is back, then like then Cooper's going to lose snaps. Yes, he will. But the last two weeks without him, 90% and 85% led the team in snaps last week. And you get the unknown rookie upside situation. But I agree. Like ultimately the depth chart is going to.
going to say Don Tavian Wicks next to DeMonte Smith. So that probably makes sense. It's just always interesting when a rookie starts to have success. And so something to pay attention to. Jordan Tyson, what is your thought process with Jordan Tyson? I mean, he's probably rostered in your league, probably on an IR spot. I'm seeing about 65%. And we did get the word, at least the report was that Tyson won't practice this week either. I'm just so, I'm still not convinced that there will be.
I feel like he could just be a roster clog. He absolutely could be. He definitely could be. It's just the fact of he's, what, where was he drafted? Top 10. Number eight. The number eight overall pick, who we don't know. Who was our number one wide receiver? Yeah, yeah. I mean, he should. He's an unbelievably talented wide receiver. And in the short stretch where he was healthy for the Saints, you know, because he missed the beginning of camp. They drafted him knowing he was injured. And then he comes back.
And we're just seeing highlight reel after highlight reel. Him mossing these guys and breaking the ankles. It just looked like, I was like, oh, my gosh, I have to have him on my team. And then he reaggravates the hamstring that he's dealt with forever. So it's definitely could be a roster clog. He could very well come back finally after you roster him for the next three weeks and then re-injury the hamstring. He could be worthless. But I don't think there's a lot of people, if you play fantasy for upside, I don't think there's a lot of people on the waiver wire who's like,
There's a world where he comes back, and him and Olave are just dominating, Shuck and the offense that plays fast, and all of a sudden you've got a top 15 wide receiver. That's just not usually in the cards. Yeah, that's interesting because I think the one real variable there is it's like, I might not see the path today, but if Velae or OLAB got hurt at any point, when you're the eighth pick overall, you have the chance to come in and dominate.
Other players don't. I've been impressed with Ryan Flannoy of the Cowboys so far this year. Plus the C.D. Lamb quad injury, which we were told at the time of the game, it was nothing to worry about, but I haven't heard any updates about C.D. Lamb. And if Lamb misses, then Flanoy becomes a very interesting play. He was on 71% of the routes. Like, he is close to a full-time player. He's just the wide receiver three. I have a few thoughts here. I'm curious, your opinion. One.
When I go in and I look at waiver wire pickups, I'm oftentimes going into the week five stats who's on the waiver wire and sorting by targets and receptions. You know, it stood out to me that Keenan Allen had nine targets last week on the return. So if you are looking for the potential performance of a player, targets go a long way. Keenan Allen out targeted Josh Downs, which is annoying, but it happened. Yeah, nine targets.
his last game before going down to Andrew as well. It's not going to be like the nine targets doesn't lead to, uh, no, 115 yards, at least to 45 yards. But, you know, that stands out to me. By the way, it's another good moment to remind people as we walk through these players and discuss the context and potential for them. You know, we have waiver rankings as part of Join the Foot.com. We have custom waiver rankings just to who's like all of these players, how we rank them.
and who's only available in your league, those are all available in the ultimate dashboard. So you'll be able to, like, import all your teams and see custom waiver rankings where the guys that are already rostered are not part of those rankings. So you can, you can, and it's custom scoring system. But you can go take a look at that. I'm kind of done with Trey Harris, and I'm kind of not chasing Demario Douglas. That's fine. Honestly, I think Efton Chisholm is a player that I would rather chase. He...
I mean, he played 76% of snaps, ran 74% of the routes, and that was coming off of a 13 target game. And this is the wide receiver for the New England Patriots second year wide receiver who is finding his way into that role that has been like, you know, the Edelman West Welker could be a highly targeted role. What we wondered if Dobbs was going to inherit, he's not playing that role. So it's at least worth paying attention to a guy who.
you know, has had 18 targets the last two weeks on what could be a good 19 targets, on what could be a good offense. And Antonio Williams, I don't think we mentioned him yet, the rookie for Washington. He was so disappointing. It was. And I get going after him still, but he plays against the Niners who have just been the best team in the NFL and then goes to a bye week. So it's a hard pickup for me. At tight end, I think there are two super interesting names. Brenton Strange, Pat Friar, Muth.
Both for different reasons. I mean, Britain's Strange. They have been involving him more and more and more. Double digits the last couple of weeks. Seven for 68 is awesome. One of the tackles was right by the goal line. And then the Muth got luth. Two touchdowns. All the reasons we like Jeremy Bernard's potential are, you know, that's there for Friam. Trust of Aaron Rogers. You don't have those other pass catchers. Metcalf sucks.
There's lots of reasons to like Frymeuth this week. I don't think it's going to cost you much to get Strange or Fryer Mews. And I bet you Mike is looking at both of these guys after three weeks of Dalton Kincaid Farts. Yeah. Aaron Rogers talked up Fryer Muth's camp all the beginning of the year. As much as he was talking down, Michael Pittman, he was saying the best camp was, he was just talking about how good Fryer Muth and Roman Wilson were this camp.
And so if you want a guy, we saw it, right, he trusted Kenny Gainwell last year and then he threw it to him a ton. I think Friarmouth is a fine pickup. And also, Darren Waller off of buy. So that's in the rearview mirror. You don't have to deal with a by week going forward. You know, he's been used around the goal line, had a couple big performances. And, you know, if Bryce Young is balling out, you could do worse. I want to put Mike on the spot as a quick detour question right here. Okay.
The buy weeks are happening. Ken Walker is now through his buy. Oh, this question. So this question popped up, and I thought it was a great one. Oh, I can't wait to hear Mike answer it. So would you trade Bejohn Robinson away, who has not yet had his buy to get Ken, Bone, Walker, who has had his buy? Would you make that trade? And I feel like these two guys have been kind of interlinked on the trading talk for a while.
Obviously, the Falcons with Pinnix have looked very good. But, I mean, Ken Walker is setting a new standard. Yeah, it's pretty, it's pretty tough here to figure this out. I'm trying to look at schedules. I mean, you do, I mean, in essence, you get one. You do, you get a, of Ken Walker. You get a bonus game. You get an extra game of the guy who is outscoring Bijon by like three and a half fantasy points a week so far. Yeah. I was, I went and looked at the game logs for Bijon. He's awesome.
Then I went and looked at them for Ken Walker, and they're out of this world. Yeah, so honestly, between the two of those guys, we're very early. We're through five weeks. I'm looking at weeks 15 through 17. I know. For those two players in particular. What are they? But I already know them. I already know Week 16. Bejon. Bejon is, Tampa, right? In Week 16? Bejon is Washington, Tampa, New Orleans. Yeah.
So that's... That's not bad. That's not bad. And then Ken Walker is Patriots, San Francisco Chargers. Those are worse. That's worse. That's worse. That's worse. But you get... But you get an extra game to get to the playoffs. And obviously, I don't know if those matchups are overwhelming. Like if you threw Minnesota... Oh, Ken Walker's been so good. I know, dude. I look. I look because I always think about this trade with you and me. Because you are the Ken Bone man. Yes.
And I'm looking at it, and I just don't ever know what I would do if you had the guts to send that to me. Yeah. I don't know what I would, I don't know what I would do. I see Bijan's jersey up over my shoulder. By the way, they gave me the stick. Yeah, they gave me the flag stick and the flag for the whole and one over there at grass clipping. So you just have to shout out. You just have to shoot the ball 2400 times. That's it. And you get a free stick and destroy the green. And pay them tons of money to rent it and everything.
But Bijon is like 40 yards, 40 rushing yards ahead of Kenneth Walker with an extra game. Yeah. No, I think I would take the Ken Walker side. It's an interesting conversation. I think the biggest fear to me is just, we've seen Kenneth Walker injured plenty of times in his career and Bijan is, you know, a young Iron Man at this point. Either player could get injured. Sure. That's like my only consideration is just, I don't think.
The wheels fall off. You know, I just don't think. You have to have Brian Robinson and Jim at Johnson for these guys. Yes, regardless. By the way, Higby, Kyle Pitts, mayor, the other three names. Higby is a great start this week against the Arizona Cardinals. Oh, yeah. I mean, look at what Leporta did last week. Yeah. He was the start of the week last week and killed it. Everybody. And you buy into any of the Kyle Pitts resurgence, five for 42, got into the end zone? Or do you just ignore the player? I think I ignore it.
All right, let's take a break. We'll talk defenses, quarterback streamers, as we continue the way we are. All right, defensive options this week. There are a ton of matchups I love. I mean, New England takes on the Jets. New England's defense has been stepping up in a big way, shut down the Raiders who had been moving the ball. Kansas City off the buy against the charger. Remember Andy Reed's numbers off of buy weeks? Yes. And then combine it with being at home and then combine it with the chargers and no, I mean, is that the best start of the week? It might be there.
it might be the best defensive start. I mean, the Colts, the Colts are, they get the privilege of playing the Tennessee Titans, and they're not going to score a lot of points. Pittsburgh plays Tampa Bay with J-Lan Daniels. I love that start. Baltimore takes on Cleveland. Cleveland takes on Baltimore. If there's no Lamar, both might be viable. San Francisco's defense was out of control last week. San Francisco's defense is only 30% rostered, and I know that they've lost all their players.
But you just have to give unbelievable mad props to the Niners and Shanahan. They're getting it done. They're unbelievable. It's just crazy. They've lost all of their players. And I think Shanahan probably would have spiked the ball if he was the head coach of the, you know, Washington commanders. I have a feeling you would have pulled that off. So, yeah, those are the big names on the defensive side. Do you see the guffaw last night in the coaching?
No, what happened last night? Well, I was hitting. Yeah, you were hitting a few golf balls at the end of the game to kick the field goal that won the game for the bills. Yeah. They could have taken two knees to have the clock basically run out and then kick the field goal. Oh, and they left time on the clock? They left like tons of time on the clock where if they had missed the field goal. Bring the Madden kid in here. You could lose the game so easily. A random kid on Madden can handle the clock better than these guys. I mean, Nick Siriani this week. It's so ridiculous.
I don't blame Siriani for that one. That was, I mean, that's on your specialties. Yeah, that's on that's on. Well, it's funny because when the, when the kick happened, it was like, the announcers made it sound like a good decision because they're like, oh, you got to, you got to make them field it so he loses time off the clock. You know what I mean? Because you kick it out of the back of the end zone. You get eight seconds or whatever, and maybe that's two plays. And then after they ran it back 50 yards, they're like, well, oh, wait, no, they don't have a timeout. It's a bit of revisionist history. It is. That one you needed.
