to the fantasy footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Ah, welcome in. Huh? It's football time. Yes, it is. Week three. Kind of. No, it's real. It's absolutely real. I refuse to believe that the first two weeks of the Falcons...

0:41 ↗

are prescriptive for the rest of the season. I don't think Pua, which in this version of Pua, is Michael Pinnock's tonight. I don't believe he's fixing everything. As of right now, Jason. There's just, it's just a moving target right now for the Falcons of, like, this entire off season, we're like, they brought to it in on purpose. Yeah. To replace.

1:07 ↗

The guy we're happy is starting tonight's. That's the moving target I'm talking about. And when that happened, let's say right before preseason started, it was like, we had watched enough Pennix to be like, yeah, Tua is significant. Tua is not good, but he's significantly better than Pennix. Then Tua played preseason. It was like, oh, gosh. He's significantly worse than minutes. And now, but still, both should be significantly better than what we've seen. And remember.

1:35 ↗

Michael Pennix was medically cleared like over a week ago. He was just like, I'm not ready. Ramping up, man. I find it. This is football time. It's going to be a fun game. So we got Packers. We got Falcons. I will just say this. There might be a lot of points. It's very possible. I don't know if you have thoughts on this. I am just always amazed at it's like the opposite of what is the phrase about?

2:04 ↗

perfection and good like the enemy of good is the enemy of great good is the enemy yeah i i just kirk cousins would be the best quarterback of the falcons yes right for sure yeah her cousins would be the best quarterback for the vikings uh... bd probably probably probably probably probably you go back like Ryan fitzpatrick

2:28 ↗

was the best quarterback for probably half the team. Baker Mayfield was the best quarterback for the Browns. Yeah. Right? Like we do this over and over and over again where... You move on, you get bored, you get... You want to aspire to Mahomes or Brady, and you will never... I mean, that is a microscopic chance as a team. But isn't it worth a... Flacko would be the best quarterback.

2:56 ↗

for half the teams in the league a few years ago. Yeah. But he's a backup. But isn't it, like, wouldn't you say it's worth taking the shot at hitting that greatness, even though it's a low odds shot, just because you know that with Kirk Cousins or with that older version of Flacco or, you know, you're not winning a Super Bowl. So I don't know if that's true because Flacco's won a Super Bowl.

3:20 ↗

That's why I said the older version. But I think the older version of Carson Palmer took the Cardinals to 14 and 3. The older version of Kurt Warner took them to a Super Bowl. I just think it's funny where, you know, it's 11 on 11. There's a lot of other pieces on these teams. And sometimes, like we don't often say when the good quarterbacks there, we're not like, man, it's that one linebacker. They're that one linebacker away from winning. But if you have.

3:48 ↗

a bad quarterback, we end them on this show. It ends everybody. The Cooper Rush ended Drake London and Kyle Pitts. It's just funny how. Well, I guess he did. Yeah, that's, yes, that's the point. We saw it happen. Yeah, you can do that. You can delete a team. Won't delete a team. Yeah. Right. No, it's, yeah. It's just, it's a good philosophical money problem. We've watched it for so long, but we got a Thursday and a football game. We got starts of the week today. We got news to talk about. Ooh, yeah.

4:17 ↗

I just like when football's on. It sounded like electricity going through your body right there. Yeah, that's football. Which we had, we actually had some of that rain stuff in Arizona this morning. We had a boatload. We really did. And there was lightning and thunder. We had like three or four brownouts this morning. Is that from like the, aren't there tropical storms going on right now? Hurricanes on the Pacific? There's a nor'easter or something. We don't really know. Yeah, us desert folk don't know nothing about that. We're desert men. We're doctors, not meteorologists, you know?

4:46 ↗

We know metal and we know butterfly stretches. And law. But anyways, let's just get into the news. News and notes from around the league. Well, why not? Jonah Coleman didn't practice. Dude, oh, come on. Probably the number one waiver pickup for about half of the leagues out there and he didn't practice. And J.K. Dobbins and R.J. Harvey were limited. So they literally practiced more than Coleman. The news was all over the place, man. I saw so many.

5:21 ↗

Jonah Coleman's not gonna practice. Oh, we saw him. He was, he was practicing. You're like, no, he definitely was not practicing.

5:29 ↗

It's like, we can verify this. We could do it with our eyes. I know. Well, that's what they're, allegedly we're doing. Is he in a disguise? Was this? He had a little groucho marks? I don't think Coleman can hide. So you can't hide that body shape. Official injury report on the Wednesday practice. Jonah Coleman did not participate. RJ Harvey and J.K. Dobbins were limited participants. I have a dynasty league that I am so. Golly. Injured and empty on running backs where Tyler Bade started to look good. I mean, ooh. These three guys are not not.

5:57 ↗

healthy. Speaking of not healthy, this is of great concern for a number of reasons. I want to get your thoughts. Pook and Akua did not practice on Wednesday. Sean McVeigh went on a radio show if you watched it. I mean, he was very candid. He's just like. He was not making great progress. He's not making great progress. Yeah, and if you have to, anyways. I don't know. I was trying. No, I liked it. I liked it. It's a little bit higher, though. Yeah, that's true. I mean, he's not making great progress. He's not making great progress. Yeah. And if you have to, anyways. Yeah.

6:27 ↗

Look, if you have to come out and say what injury they don't have, it says something to me, okay? But it's also, it is good news. He doesn't have a torn ACL guys. It is good news, though, that he came out and said it's not a hernia. He was very definitive. It's not a hernia. It's not a hernia. But he's not making great progress. And, like, we have, is there a difference between sports hernia and him ending up with an abdominal surgery? I don't know. I, yeah, I don't know, guys. I mean, my point is.

6:57 ↗

Let's say it's a groin injury, since he said it's not a hernia injury. If it's a groin injury, that could take multiple weeks. You could not make progress right now and be totally fun. Miss a game, miss two games, miss three games, and then you're back and your puka sensational. The hernia was the big fear. And it's for him to come right out and say it's not a hernia. Yeah, which means I guess people other than me were questioning that. He said once you get to a certain point, he's going to allow it to heal. And I think it'll be pretty good moving forward. Look, there are players in which.

7:25 ↗

an injury concerns me more than other players. And Puka, the fact that he's dealt with some things on and off in his career, it does concern me. I don't think you're going to see Puka and Kua on the football field this week. And I don't know how quick you'll see him back out there, but Zay Flowers didn't practice on Wednesday. That's unfortunate. You wanted to see him back in the swing of things. Preferred they are. Do we have an update yet today for Thursday? No, I don't think so. I have not seen, but a reminder of the Baltimore.

7:55 ↗

Dallas game is in, it's an international one, it's in Brazil. Yeah, I mean, Mike, you made the point. Which it's a bad field last time. It's not on the same field, I believe. Okay. We can double check that. Are all fields in Brazil the same? I don't know. Okay. I don't know. I don't know how they're... Your point being that if they were going, they don't want to take a risk potentially with flowers, re-injuring himself if they don't feel comfortable with the playing surface. Correct. Which if it's anything like when we saw...

8:25 ↗

What was it, Packers Eagles? And it was Packers for sure, because it was Jaden Reed just destroying the world because no defender could get any sort of grip off of the grounds, which is, if it's like that, you don't want to do with a hammy playing. Brock Bowers, limited on Wednesday, could be back this week. Are you just right back into the lineup if Bowers is out there? When he starts, I will definitely be starting him. I am still skeptical, even though he's practicing limited this week. We'll see if he's actually active.

8:53 ↗

Travis H.N. Jr., despite getting no work, limited on Wednesday with a hamstring. You could see Alvin Camara a lot on Sunday. Mike Evans did not practice on Wednesday. Honestly, if for some reason, E.T.N. was downgraded. If he didn't play, I feel like Kendrae Miller is the better option to go with. It might be. I think you could get some one-yard.

9:18 ↗

passes to Camara. Mike Evans, I said, didn't practice. They're going to take it easy with him. I don't worry about Wednesdays with Evans. I worry about Thursday Friday. Aaron Jones did not practice on Wednesday. Okay, sure. Why not? That one is troubling. I mean, I thought about, I had a waiver claim in this morning to pick up them on Claiborne. I ended up withdrawing it. I don't think the team trusts him. I think DJ Dallas will get more work. I think it will be annoying.

9:46 ↗

We still don't know if Jones will be out, but of course, you know, we lost Jordan Mason. If, yeah, if Aaron Jones is out, it will be between those two guys. I agree. I think DJ Dallas is the more trusted player, will play more snaps. I think if I had to throw one of them in a lineup. Come on. I would actually put DeMond Claiborne in over DJ Dallas simply because I think.

10:08 ↗

Then you wouldn't be starting DJ Dallas. I see what you're going on with. Yeah, you just have more explosive upside. This is a player who's got some great speed, fits the system well in Claiborne. And I'm, you know. No, I get it. I get it. I might or might not be starting him and chopped. Okay. Oh. Well, I started Jordan Mason week one. Oh, no. Jonah Coleman week two. Oh, okay.

10:30 ↗

And now I'm just, my RB2 in that league for a couple more weeks. Sounds like we're safe this week, Mike. That's what that sounds like. I love to hear it. I think I'm like top three score or so far. Okay. Well, Josh has already declared that he would, he would be the one who was chopped. Well, you declared that week one and you're still around. Wow. It was pretty amazing to have Drake made A.J. Brown week one. In a chopped league, there are a lot of teams right now. Yeah. And so we had somebody saved. A lot can go wrong. We had somebody 100 percent.

11:00 ↗

Dead last week. And then Jackson Dart happened. So you can survive. Let's talk starts. Starts of the week. Brought to you by Apple Card. All right. My starts of the week always, I mean, we all do our rankings individually each week. Some guys just show up better than the other ones. And we want to give you some confidence plays and endorsements on players this week. And my quarterback, it's Brock Purdy for a second consecutive week, taking on Arizona. He's.

11:31 ↗

He's good. He's really good. He's just executing to a perfect level right now. And I does not say he's not good. He's very, very good. But he also, he kind of, he's the surgical kind of quarterback. He's not going out there and doing, you know, it's not 450 yards. I am going to slice and dice you up with perfect efficiency, always has the touchdown upside, leads quarterbacks in EPA per play, eight and a half point home favorites. This is going to be.

12:01 ↗

It's going to be bad for Arizona. Do you see that he was on like a podcast or something, talking about how quarterbacks basically 40% of the time they can't see where they're throwing? Oh, yeah, I did see that. Yeah. You're like, dude, that's, it's in. And for him, it's 60, 70%. Because he's essentially saying, like, this is processing and you're like, you just have to know what's going to happen. Processing over arm strength, knowing where to put the ball. No, it's funny because we said coming into the year, Brock Purdy is the one.

12:30 ↗

Quarter. Literally the only one quarterback where you assume seven plus percent of his passes for touchdowns. That's usually the outlier year. And then you regress. And I was like, what does he have right now? He's at 8.9% so far on the season. So he does have room to regress. And still be awesome. Back to his normal seven percent. No stribling. No, DeMarcus Robinson. No Christian Kurt. And who knows? Maybe no Mike Evans. I don't care. It's Arizona. I'm taking him. I'm going to go with Jared Goff. Jared.

12:59 ↗

GERF. Against the New York Jets. He is at home. Last week, obviously went all 300. Introducing. He went off. 327 and 4 last week. He is at home in a dome. The Dominator has averaged 21 fantasy points per game at home since 2022. And they've got the fifth highest implied point total this week. Tyler Shuck.

13:27 ↗

Get out of the way, Jason stealing my stream of the week. The king of the Shuck Daddies is here, his number one supporter. We're playing him this week. You got to be so happy I let him go and let you take it. Oh, brother, it feels so good. Having, oh, man, with the combo of Dak and Tyler Shuck, that's my platoon right now. I'm feeling pretty good about my quarterback. I'm feeling pretty bad about letting go. Feeling good about that.
