The draft capital of Corey Davis has me concerned. All right. Trash. Trash. Yeah. Stash or Trash, Gio Bernard running back for the Bengals behind Joe Mix. I'm voting trash. I don't want Gio. I don't see an opportunity for him. He's a roster clogger. He's a roster clogger. He's a name clog. He's done some things in the past. He's like name brand Drano except it doesn't work.

Sure, Mike. They snuck the third party off brand in there. Couldn't have been more in line with what I was thinking. Absolutely exactly that. I'm glad I'm here. Geo Bernard is not going, look, even if Joe Mixon goes down, it's not going to be the whole Geo Bernard show. Now I would pick him up in that situation. No doubt about it, but you have Mark Walton there. Mark Walton, oh man, Mark Walton has shown you nothing. I know. Nothing. I know.

My goodness, Mark Walton. Yeah, the Hyde didn't translate. Come on, man. But Geo Bernard right now is a roster clock. You don't. It's a handcuff. That's, I guess, what the discerning aspect to this question is. Is G.O.A. Does he have standalone value? Is he more than a handcuff? And I don't think he is. I tend to agree with you. If you draft Joe Bernard, he, the nice thing about him, I believe, is this is a one week.

I can look at it for one week. Does he get involved in the past game? Does he get that five or six targets? Because if he does, then you can hold on to him. You can stash him. So it's a quick turnaround knowing where I will stand with Gio Bernard after week one. Let's turn to a couple of running backs on the Detroit lines. Theoretic, Garrett Blunt. They're both going in the 13th round, back to back as a tandem, I guess. Just some friends in the 13th round.

It's strange. Because every draft that I'm in, I see LaGarrett Blunt and I see Frank Gore late. Maybe you could rope him into this question. And nobody wants them. And the interesting thing about that. Because they just feel like they're, they got that ceiling. But LaGarie Blunt's, unlike Frank Gore, is actually the starting running back for his team. You have to stash Legerat Blunt, don't you? Yes.

because for the first few games, however long it takes of the transition to carry on Johnson, Laguerre Blunt will have value. And Theo Riddick should as well. He's been all right in the preseason. He's got a little bit of action. He's got some juice. He has juice. We know that the Detroit lines, they throw to the running back position more than every team not named the Saints. So he certainly has some value.

He's always been that late round value for years, but Carrion Johnson, I think, has screwing things up for people. Any doubt in your mind that Theoretic is on the field in every two-minute drill for the season? For the season, yes, I have doubt. For the first half of the season? No. See, he's very trustworthy in that offense. He knows the offense. He has the trust of Matthew Stafford. I would stash blunt. I don't think I'd stash Riddick. Yeah? Yeah.

It's interesting the whole starting running back thing, right? Because I can bring up another guy that you're going to love. Devante Booker. I haven't seen, I've seen Devante Booker go undrafted. Devonty. Booger. It's ridiculous. Did I hear a laugh from the, from over there on the Cybrex? That gets you twice? Oh, yeah. Yes. Devante Booger. This is a real. He's the only booger that I don't pick, though. Oh, my goodness.

I'm really enjoying today's show. This is outstanding. I'm not picking him either. He will stay there. My parents would be so proud of me right now. You get paid for this. And you got to draft. Yes, he's a fan as well. It's gross. It is absolutely disgusting, but you should draft Devante Booker at his value. Here's the thing. Fantasy owners. Running backs don't grow on trees.

It's true. It doesn't matter whether they're pretty. It doesn't matter whether they smell right. They don't grow on trees. And two, three weeks into the season, you're going to have injury. You're going to work yourself into bye weeks, and you're going to be scrambling. And if you're in a deeper league, 12, 14, 16 team league, it's even harder. These are mustache. Yes. I believe I just said that they're mustaches. You did. Yes. These are must.

Stashes. Oh, what is happening on today's show? It's just, it's what we do, Mike. So if you have a shot at a starter, no matter who it is, you've got to put him on the bench. Mike has perfected this over the years in our league of record and in Dynasty. He puts these guys on his team and you look at them and you say, yeah. Yeah, it's gross. I don't play zero running back. That's not how I draft, but I do.

Love to target the guys who are the top picks for zero running back teams. Peyton Barber, Devante Booker, these are guys that are going to have value right out of the gate. So don't completely avoid them. John Ross, Martavis, Bryant. Stash or trash? John Ross is 100% a stash. What about Martavis? No, thank you.

Yeah, I think that's the way it's trending right now. Martavis has done nothing. The opportunity is there because the Oakland Raiders have sent away Ryan Switzer. So right now, who are the top three wide receivers for Oakland? Omari Cooper. Jordy Nelson. Jordan Nelson. And is it Martavis? It is not Martavis right now. The correct answer is I don't care. I don't.

I'm not drafting Martavis. If you can't answer that question with a guaranteed Martavis Bryant, then he's not a stash to me. Yeah. Because there are plenty of guys that can randomly score a touchdown, right? That is true. Johnny Holton's there. Dwayne Harris is there. They're all competing for opportunity. So, yeah, I'm not that excited. Nope, nor am I. The only way, now I will say this, if Jordy Nelson is done, right? Right.

completely done. If he comes in, if he's Eric Decker of 2017, where you hoped he comes in and establishes himself and becomes something and you realize pretty quickly that he's, he's a missed, he's a ghost, then Martavis becomes more interesting because Cooper hasn't had that, you know, guarantee production over the last couple of years. So you got a little bit of uncertainty ahead of him, but he's not a stash for me.

He's a waiver wire pickup. Yep. For me as well. And then John Ross, you're right. He's a guaranteed stash. You've got to see what they have. A top 10 draft pick in the NFL was injured, was sent to the bench for his fumble because his head coach, Marvin Lewis, number one, doesn't like rookies. And then a rookie made a mistake. That's a near death sentence in Cincinnati. Who is the running back for Coughlin?

And David Wilson. Oh, when David Wilson fumbled on his first carry and then Coughlin was like, ugh. Coughlin actually took him into the locker room, made him write his own eulogy. Yeah. That's what he did. He said, you're going to write this up and, and you're done. Look, John Ross passed, he passes the remake his body eye test this preseason. He was, he's gone from a spelt.

slightly undersized speedster to a guy that looks more like a prototypical wide receiver now. And even though he hasn't had a lot of volume, you have to look at him as a guy you stash because there aren't a lot of pass-catching weapons. Tyler Eifford's always banged up. We don't know Joe Bernard's involvement. Brandon Lafell is gone. It's A.J. Green, and then it's supposed to be John Ross. Yeah, it's supposed to be John Rush. Let's go with this. Before we jump at it, it's a mailbag.

What about the late round handcuffs? Is there any late round handcuffs stash that you grabbed for weeks one or two? I mean, you don't really live and die by predicting injury in fantasy football. No, but you need to be prepared. And I was on another podcast. And John Kelly's, we brought his name up. And I was running back up. Back up running back for the Los Angeles Rams. And I was presenting it in the fashion of, okay.

Week one, Todd Gurley is out for the season. How much of your fab goes on to John Kelly? And all three of us said everything. 100% of my budget will be going to obtain John Kelly from the waiver wire. And I don't like drafting handcuffs, but if there is a player that would command your entire budget for the season after week one, shouldn't you stash him? I don't know.

I don't know. Now, do you mean if you are the girly owner? No, not even. So I don't think so, because wouldn't you say you'd spend your entire fab budget on James Connor? There are very few guys. In Pittsburgh, behind Lev Bell. What about Chase Edmonds in Arizona, who seems locked and loaded as the number two rookie behind David Johnson?

I think I would spend all my budget on Edmonds. I think I'd spend it all on Connor. I think I'd spend it all on Kelly. I think those are, I'm trying to think quickly right now. But those are the three guys that have something happened week one. Did you spend it all on Rod Smith? Those are the four guys. Okay. So that's the backup, by the way, to Ezekieli in Dallas. But those, because those are situations where the backup has immense talent.

And the opportunity would be overwhelming. Oh, no, he's drafted in the single digits. These are guys who are either undrafted or go extremely late. So the mindset there for a fantasy owner is. It depends on how big my benches. I'll say that. That's what I would say. And it's a matter of, you know, those guys would become top 10 running backs. Immediately. So then you're saying, do you just take the shot? Like we had somebody last year or the year before in our league of record. Here's the thing that you can do there.

I'll throw this strategy out there. Sunday morning. You have somebody on your bench that you don't need to see that week. Why not throw James Connor, John Kelly, Chase Edmonds, Rod Smith, on your bench when Sunday morning waivers goes through and then release them again on Tuesday when you pick up somebody else. So if they're out there and you grab them on Sunday morning, because this happened in a league, left bell went down, and all of a sudden I think it was DeAngelo Williams at the time. Yes.

Someone had added him on Sunday morning. Yeah. He didn't have to pay the fab. He had him. So if you have a deep enough bench, if you have a guy that you can let go of, like, would you let go of Gio Bernard on a Sunday morning to go pick up John Kelly? Yes, I would. Okay. All right.
