which we did not see a lot of in the preseason. And Josh McCown, if there's one thing that he is going to do, he's going to chuck it. He is going to see how far he can throw the ball, which highlights what Robbie Anderson can do as a wide receiver. Josh McCown is almost double the age of Sam Darnel. Can you believe that? That is unbelievable. Did you see the GIF that they caught on the sign line where they went, they were synchronized hairbrush? Yeah.

111 passagesYeah, I did. That was pretty funny. And it did. It looked like a father's son. Yeah. It's a great moment. Look it up. I was a child when I first saw Josh McCown play. That's not a joke. Yeah. I saw him before the Cardinals moved into their new stadium in Tim P. I remember talking with my dad. And I'm like, hey, hey, pops. Unbelievable. I think that Josh McCown is the real deal. He's a swell guy.
Oh, it's funny. Young Mike Wright sounds a whole lot like the voice of public opinion, just for the record. No, I don't. As well as Mickey Mouse. No. Jordan Wilkins is the front runner to replace Marlon Mack in the starting lineup if Mac isn't ready. Now, this is not a good looking offensive line. Do you care about this? I mean, do you roster Jordan Wilkins? Yes, 100%. We're going to get into stash or trash situations.
Jordan Wilkins' name is not in this list, but he is 100% a stash. You've got to find out what's going to happen with their running back situation. Andrew Luck, incredible quarterback. They should put points on the board eventually once the offense starts to really get moving, and the running back will have value. Yeah, I agree with you. I think you have to. And you never know if a week one or two performance from a rookie.
establishes himself for the season. Maybe not. You know, it's probably going to be a platoon. Yeah. But you could establish yourself. You could build something. I mean, Naim Hines has been every bit of the trash side of the stash of trash. It's not going well for Hines. Marlon Mack with the hamstring injury, which even if he comes back week one, a hamstring injury in training camp, you hate to see those because they tend to linger. They pop back up. And then.
Once again, Robert Turbin, who probably was in line for a lot of work, had the PED suspension. He's gone for weeks. If Jordan Wilkins can string together four strong performances, I do believe that he can take over the role as the starting running back. I know that I cannot provide our listeners $400,000 a day. Fair. But we do have a giveaway we're doing right now. We do.
Because free stuff is cool. Like a free sign, DeAndre Hopkins jersey, a couple copies of Madden. And we're giving away the ultimate draft kit for life. Which, you know, life expectancy is going up, Mike. Is it? Oh, yeah. We're on the way back up? Yeah, this giveaway a few years ago, it wouldn't have been as lucrative. But at this point, the way people are living, you're talking.
Many, many years of the ultimate draft kit. Many, many years. How do you enter? You go to footclan giveaway.com and take your vitamins, man. You win that thing. Take your vitamins. You've got so many ultimate draft kits coming your way. Or you win the jersey. I mean, it's a pretty good situation because it's free to enter. All the prizes are good. Yeah. Yeah, there's all good prices. All right. We're moving on. Stash.
Or trash. You said you're telling me before the show, your boy, your middle, your middle child. The middle boy is obsessed with pirates of the Caribbean. Is it Jack, is it all Jack Sparrow? He loves Jack Sparrow. He's got the, the Halloween costume and it has resurfaced. And I will wake up on Saturday mornings. And there is a miniature Jack Sparrow pillaging and just running.
throw my house like a maniac. That's funny. Also, if you want to know what we're talking about, the YouTube. Fair point. Our video show on the YouTube, YouTube.com slash the fantasy footballers. We are, we're trying to take this thing up a notch as we sprint toward the 100,000 subscribers. And if you are not over there, you are definitely missing out. Yeah, there's a pirate-themed animation to this. Ha! If you didn't recognize the fine guitar riff that...
that Mike busted out last night. It's a little pirity. Little bit. Little bit. Not completely. All right. Stash or trash examples from last year. I want to bring up some guys that went in the, between the 10th and 14th round last year. Some that panned out. Some that didn't pan out. So you understand what we're talking about. If you remember us talking last year, look, Corey Davis, rookie Whiteout, Darren Sprouls.
Cole Beasley. A lot of hype around, oh, Cole Bleasle. Because the Beasles a couple years ago. He was infecting the nation. And then one that we brought up, Andy Dalton. Thought Andy Dalton could be a late round steal. Nope. No. No. No. Those were guys that did not pan out. No, no, no, no. And if you held on to them on your roster for an extended period of time, they didn't do you any good. They just took up a roster spot when you could assign somebody else. They made your bench smell. Yeah. Yeah. So who did pan out?
Well, Rex Burkhead came through. You had to hold on to him and wait because of the early on injury. Jamal Williams when given the opportunity. Robbie Anderson, Latavius Murray. And, of course, the big one, if you drafted him late and held on, most people got him off the waiver wire. But that's why we are talking about these guys as stash. You're drafting them late. You didn't say the name. I'm building up to it. Oh, okay. But Super Camario.
Alvin Camara carried people single-handedly to fantasy championships. There were people that stashed him and there were people that trashed him. Yes, that's the hard part about these late-round guys. They're going late for a reason, but how much time should you allow them to sit on the bench and stash them? Yeah. And maybe they turn into some gold.
So in some ways we are, we're discussing the merits of some players going in that range now. And I guess we'll be voting. Sure. To some degree of whether we believe they're stash or trash. And I think we can talk a little bit, you know, expiration date. When does the milk go bad? Yeah. Because when you say stash, does that mean I just hold on indefinitely because halfway through the season? So he won't be in this list because he's a very high draft pick. But carry on Johnson.
Yeah, you got to stash him. It's not going to happen week one. It's probably not going to happen week two. But you got to believe in the talent and the opportunity that the lions, when they trade up in the second round for a running back, you would think sooner than later that he will get the opportunity to be the starting running back.
And you have to make a decision on these guys, and sometimes it's subjective to your team and your makeup and how your season's going. Sure. If you're having a nice start to the season, you have a little more rope for hanging on to players. Yes, you do. And if you're having a rough start, you may have to do some roster turnover. If you get some injuries to hit your team, you're going to have to cut bait sooner. But let's start with Josh Doxon. Wide receiver for the Washington Redskins, 14th round pick, perennial height machine.
Josh Doxon has a lot of talent. Yes. But you also have a lot of mouths to feed in Washington, and you don't know what this offense is going to look like with Alex Smith behind center. Is Josh Doxon stash or trash, Mike? He is a really tough guy because I guess it's his third year in the league, but for all intents and purposes, last year was really his rookie season, 500 yards.
Six touchdowns. He started to become more featured in the offense, but the catch percentage was bad. 44.9%. You got to get that up into at least the mid-50s if you're going to be the big play touchdown type of receiver. I think he's worth it because in Washington with Alex Smith as the new quarterback, you don't know how things are going to shake out with the targets.
So he's worth a draft pick, and you've got to hold on to him probably, I would give it like two to three weeks, two to three weeks of stash to find out what I have in Josh Doxon. He's not a one-weeker, unfortunately. He's a member of one of these teams where you almost have to put all the pass catchers in a little bucket and dump it in the sifter. Right.
for the first couple weeks of the season and see who comes out the bottom. You feel like a, we talked about Alaska. You're up there with your pan. Yes, you're panning for gold. Come on, Washington. And you do it in Jacksonville, right? Kill and Cole, Dante Moncrief, Dedy Westbrook. Drop on through. You hope that you end up with the right guy. There are also players, we should talk about this, where, you know, they're capable, like, Doxon's an in-zone threat. Yes.
What happens if you go into the season and Dawson scores the first couple weeks, but he does it on like two receptions? Is that make him a trade? Take that stash, turn it into some cash? Ooh, speedy. If he's doing it on two receptions, it depends on the target count. If it's two targets, two receptions, and he's getting a touchdown every week, then I would look to move him because that's not the...
That's not the type of sustainable pace you want. So you're buying a ticket on Doxin to start the year. See what you have. See who Alex Smith likes. Right. All right. pull out my phone, open the C Geek app, click a couple buttons, and go. At this day and age, I don't need to think more than that. That's the maximum I want to think. A little peek-ski at what's going on on Pristine Auction today. It's apparently the day of the helmet because there are autographed full-sized helmets on here going for incredible prices. We're talking a Drew Breeze full-sized helmet, a Sequant Barkley, Jimmy, the handsome one Garapolo, full-sized helmet. You want to get in on this memorabilia action? You want a handsome wall?
You want your wall to be increased that handsome quotient. Yes. Very important. You need a Jimmy Garapolo helmet. I cannot confirm or deny if his face comes with the helmet. You can also put a picture of me on the wall next to it. We're talking about increase. Oh, sorry. Upcrease, as we say on the show. But Pristine Oxen, that's where we go for all of our signed jerseys. Stash or Trash. Richard Matthews, Tewan, Taylor, wide receivers for the Tennessee Titans that hyped.
offseason offensive change from exotic smash mouth to modern day hasn't looked so great in the preseason. No. And Richard Matthews coming off the injury, Tawan Taylor coming into his second season with more electricity to his name, but less of a track record. So sash or trash for these two guys, do they fall in the same category as Josh Doxon or do you just want to be hands off because like the upside isn't as high? I am looking for.
