Just eight carries to Alfred Morris makes you feel a little bit queasy, but I guess they didn't want to give Goldman all the carries. I guess. All right, let's talk news. News and notes from around the league. All right, this is unfortunate.

In fact, we have several players dealing with injury. George Kittle is going to miss eight weeks, has a broken bone in his foot. If you could see Mike's face, it's not good. It's representative of the injury. It's unfortunate. This is a team now that has been just beset by injury after injury. Jimmy Garoppolo is going to be sidelined indefinitely. I can tell you right now, they're not bringing that guy back unless his ankle is.

extra fine because when they brought him back early, he looked awful. Now, there are many out there that believe Nick Mullins is a better quarterback than Jimmy Garoppolo, including many San Francisco fans. So no George Kittle, no Debo Samuel, likely this week, no Jimmy Garapolo. Suddenly, Brandon Ayuk is, he's a 10 target guarantee.

But the offense, you know, you don't have running backs right now either. You don't have Rahim Moster. It's very doubtful that Tevin Coleman would come back. You don't have Jeff Wilson. And this game is Thursday. So I would expect no Debo and I would expect no Tevin Coleman. So you're talking about Jamichael Hastie and Brayn and Yuc against Green Bay. Yeah. And the thing is with Green Bay is they are as bad as it gets against the run game. So you want.

You want to get Jamichael Hastie in there. We'll talk about him. He's probably already rostered in every single league out there. But it's a weird situation. And while I do think that Mullins might be better for fantasy, the team does not win with Mullins. If you look at the record of the 49ers with Garoppolo and without Garoppolo since he's come, this is a very wide sample size for NFL purposes.

The San Francisco 49ers do not win games very often without Jimmy G. And certainly without George Kittle, it's going to be. I think both these guys could be done for the year, barring them making the playoffs and coming back for a playoff run. Yep, that's a good point on the game script, too, and how it's turned out with Bethard or Mullins. Kenny Galladay, hip injury. He's expected to miss week nine.

When I saw the quote from Patricia, he said, he chose to say, yeah, it's more of a day-to-day or week-to-week thing. You know, it's one of those. Months to months. Who's counting? But they, you know, they're choosing to work out Muhammad Sunu, which is a sign that Kenny Gallaudet will not be there and that you are desperate. And, you know, now you are looking at Quentin Cephas. You're looking at Marvin Jones, another play that could be traded before the deadline. Danny M. Andola.

My favorite of the bunch is T.J. Hawkinson because you've had back-to-back top five weeks for him. It's very difficult to know what you're going to get from Gulladay moving forward. He missed a couple games earlier this year. And what do you do with Stafford? I mean, Stafford finally showed up. Without Gulladay. I mean, Gulladay was Goose this past week. Right. He finally showed up. Marvin Jones had the two touchdown game. He has a solid matchup here against the Minnesota Vikings.

We'll talk streaming quarterbacks later, but is Stafford, one of your guys' streamers? You're feeling confident still playing him? Confidence in Matthew Stafford do not go together, but the matchup and the fact that he did it last week, he did it the week before with over 340 yards, and then he did it last week without Kenny Gallaudet. I mean, Gulladay had zero fantasy points. Gives me confidence that he can exploit a good matchup when he's put in the position to throw the football.

And it'll be, you know, it'll be Marvin Hall. It'll be Amandola. It'll be Seafis and Hawkinson and Swift. A.J. Dillon tested positive for COVID-19. He's going to be out. Now, here's the big news. Jamal Williams is a close contact to A.J. Dillon. So he is not allowed to practice. There's a chance he misses the game. Yeah, being that it's Thursday, the high risk category for close contact usually has a protocol that.

means he's a legit chance to miss. You're going to need Aaron Jones back for this game, Green Bay. Do we have any updates on Aaron Jones health, or is it still just questionable? I think it's still up in the air. I would be looking at this the same way that we saw Christian McCaffrey last week. You're not willing to risk the future for the present with Aaron Jones, and yet you're in a kind of a pickle at running back.

But you get 10 days if he misses this game. You get 10 additional days. If he's not out there, you're looking at right now Tyler Irvin, but he's not going to carry the load. They have a practice squad running back. Dexter Williams, I think. Oh. He's on practice squad. Those would be your running backs for Thursday. And Tyler Irvin was questionable on Monday with limited in practice. Oh, my goodness. Devante Adams is going to see 20 targets. Where's DJ Dallas when you need him? Huh. Yeah. Wow.

So maybe that, I mean... Have we ever seen a team? Just no running back? Not even no running backs. No runs. 100% pass. They just come out. Here's our game plan. We're throwing every play. John Coon's phone is ringing. That's why somebody's calling him. You free? Can't get in by Thursday. That's the thing with COVID is the COVID protocols. I mean, they cannot sign someone right now. Oh, John Coon's hanging out down there all the time. He's getting nothing to do. But, you know, as far as passing the protocol, we've seen this couple times this year.

You can't sign someone and have them ready by game day. All right. There was the official word from Frank Reich that Jonathan Taylor has a bit of an ankle issue. A little bit of an ankle issue and a bit of a Baltimore Ravens matchup this week. Are you just OUT on Jonathan Taylor? Oh, man. It would be nice for fantasy football if Jonathan Taylor got a week of rest here.

And, I mean, if you are desperate, then you could play Wilkins, Jordan Wilkins against the Baltimore Ravens. But this is, we will be following the news throughout the week. I might be O-U-T on playing Taylor this week. I know I'm going to try to avoid it. Yeah. Austin Hooper will definitely be back in week 10. All right. It's big news for the Browns. And then Sam Darnold's MRI.

showed an aggravation of a previous shoulder injury. He's going to attempt to manage it and work through it. Poor soul that he is. Yes. And we'll keep you up to date with the trade deadline. When you can't run with Frank Gore, you want to accomplish nearly the same by throwing. Wow. All right. Waiver time. Put me in, coach. All right. Gentlemen, we are heading into week nine of the NFL season.

Returning from the buy, Washington, the Cardinals, Jacksonville, and the Texans. And then heading to buy the Bengals, the Browns, the Rams, the Eagles. All right, wide receivers. It is time to get into it. And there are, you know, this is the point of the year, too. You know, Mike brought it up way back when, one of our tips and tricks. There are times that you are, you're breaking the season up into chunks. You're trying to buy wins.

I know some of my trades today, they weren't necessarily long-term moves. I would like to have the problems of start-sits in the playoffs versus, you know, only looking to the future and not making it. So I made a move for Chase Edmonds in one of our leagues. So you've got to buy weeks. And waivers, it's an opportunity with matchups. Now drop candidates from Twitter. People want to know, should I let these players go?

go. And I know the disclaimer, it's all based on who you're picking up. But let me ask it a different way. Are you willing to drop DJ Chark, C.D. Lamb or Marquise Hollywood Brown? I am willing to drop lamb. I would not be dropping Marquise Brown. DJ Chark is, he's an unknown at this point. You just hold on to DJ Chark, see what the rookie can do.

gluten-free, what he can do for Jacksonville. But DJ Chark is still the number one receiver on the team. I would expect for Luton to lock onto him. Yeah, I think all three of these are worthy. If there is someone on the waivers and you need to win and you're more confident in them, that's fine. Personally, DJ Chark and C.D. Lamb, I'm okay moving on because, not because of them. They're both very talented wide receivers.

But when you've got, you know, quintessentially third string NFL quarterbacks, there's not going to be fantasy production to be had. If he's the one for the team, I'm not sure I want it. Yeah, it makes sense. And then Hollywood Brown came out on Twitter chirping. Yeah. About not being used. What tweet? As he deletes it. Oh, he deleted it? Oh, he deleted it. But it's everywhere, obviously. It's the internet. It's the internet. Still learning what the internet does. But the squeaky wheel could end up.

people not know this? It's not that they don't know it. It's a reaction. Yeah, it's an emotional thing. I mean, it is frustrating. As someone who has Hollywood Brown as a my guy this year, I still love what I see on the field. I haven't seen him do anything that makes me believe less than the talent. What sucks and what I've had to come to terms with is that Lamar Jackson throws for 200 yards a game. And while I wanted it to go up this year and week one looked great, 275 yards.

100 yards for Hollywood in the first half. He averages 200 yards a game. And he did that last year, 208 yards a game as the MVP. He's not going to go out and throw a bunch of 350-yard games, and the pie's just too small for Hollywood. Yeah. I mean, if you go back, if you get the MVP season, you still get the infrequent success of starting Hollywood Brown. All the hope and optimism in the world, but you're still dealing with a player that is, like you said, cutting.

a small pie and, you know, it wasn't great last year. I mean, over the last eight weeks, last year he had a couple good games. So it sucks. It sucks because we know that the ability is there. But he's certainly more of the Deshaun Jackson mold. And even in Deshaun Jackson's heyday, even in peak Deshaun Jackson, it wasn't somebody that you got consistency from. Yeah, I mean, you can start Marquis Brown this week and next week and the next week. You could start him every single week because...

He has the ability and the chance to just take a long touchdown to the house. But you can do that with, you know, Henry Ruggs. All right. So let's look at the options, though, because there's not a standout to me. There's not a, you must get this guy at the expense of all other wide receiver options. There's a lot of speculative potential. And maybe Sterling Shepard is at the top of that list with the fact that, you know, 10 targets, 8 for 74, you get a baseline. You get.

Red Zone work, right? He had the touchdown the week before. And if Golden Tate leaves, it clears the, you know, wide receiver core a little bit. And I do think that's a pretty strong possibility that Golden Tate, because I don't know why you would hang on to an aging Golden Tate. Yeah, but I don't know who would train for Golden Tate. I don't have teams that are linked to him. Just have the name out there. They've seen it reported. And it makes perfect sense to me. I mean, he is a great ad.
