Why not? Dallas Goddard. He's going to miss a few weeks with a sprained MCL. They signed Zachary Earts, Mike's favorite tight end of all time. Wow. Because Eli Stowers couldn't possibly be expected to come in and play a role. Well, he's on the IR, so he can't be expected to come in and play yet. But that's a shame. That's a shame that they... We all know he's not on the IR for an injury. Correct. Correct. But just rules are rules. He's got to miss four games now. I mean, he was second round? Second round, yeah. Highly drafted and...

113 passagesHighly disappointing. And these are the same guys that went, they passed on Justin Jefferson. Is that that for? Correct. Oh, for Rager. Jalen Rager. They did scoop up Mackay Lemmon, maybe. They did scoop up the guy with like, but they generally make good decisions. They do usually. They've got a couple whiffs and they could have a couple more here. All right. We'll take a break and we'll jump into the waiver wire. Let's do it. WaiverWire.
Presented by T-Mobile. Wasn't there a moment this week where, you know, when the games were going on and we were watching the players that we thought maybe it would be like a really good waiver wire week? I don't think this is a very bad waiver wire week. It's certainly better than week one. Well, let's start at the running back position, Jason. Who are your top names? Mike? Where are you guys looking? Yeah, I mean, I think that the hot name right now is going to be Jonah Coleman. I'm a little cautious about it.
here's why we love Jonah Coleman. First of all, we loved the three of us all loved. Denver Broncos rookie running back who was, at least Mike and I's number two running back in rookie rankings prior to the draft. I think he's very talented. Then he got the opportunity in the fourth quarter. J.K. Dobbins gets injured late in the third. RJ Harvey was not in the game. And Jonah Coleman went out there. The team was down when he basically got in there.
They went and won in the fourth quarter with Jonah Coleman playing the majority of snaps, getting the majority of reps. He had a nice touchdown that was, you know, on him. He had a great veteran move where he's, you know, he breaks to the outside, gets the first down and then slides in bounds. You know, Sean Peyton's going to be like hot and bothered by that. They win the game. And so he really showed out. He showed out in the offseason program to the tune where.
In preseason, they pulled them quickly, and Peyton was like, we've seen enough. This guy's good. So everything says this talented player who just did great things and is behind two injured running backs, that's a good pickup. The cold water I would throw on it is, we just talked about J.K. Dobbins, apparently his hamstring is good, according to Pellasaro. So he should be back. RJ Harvey might be back. And while RJ Harvey was missing this game, now Jonah Coleman earned more work.
When we went into this game, RJ Harvey wasn't there. And RJ Harvey or Jonah Coleman barely played the first three quarters. I mean, it was J.K. Dobbins. And I thought it would be like, I thought Coleman would at least play the RJ Harvey role. Tyler Badee. Yeah, he really didn't. Now, once J.K. Dobbins went down, Jonah Coleman very much out snapped Badee in the fourth quarter and was special. So I don't know. What are you guys bidding on a player like that in that situation? I'm not going overly hard in the paint.
But this is a situation that could develop over the next couple weeks. The offseason, I felt like the largest threat to J.K. Dobbins was not R.J. Harvey. It was Jonah Coleman. But he needs the door to open for him to show on an NFL Sunday that he can be the guy. I didn't necessarily find myself convinced that he, I mean, he played well, but I don't think that there was something that I saw that was like, oh, gosh, this guy took over the entire back. The thing for Coleman, though, is like, he's
a very versatile running back. He's a three-down guy where, you know, J.K. Dobbins, for the Denver Broncos, not really used in the passing game. They know that when defense is no one, when Harvey's on the field, you're probably going to throw. So I don't know if Peyton desires to have that running back where you can put him on the field and the defense has to at least take a split second to really understand what type of offensive play is going to happen.
If Dobbins is back, I think he goes right back into being the guy. This is a situation, though, of JK Dobbins hurt all the time, hurt last week. Yes, he's good to go now, but I'm not picking up Coleman to play him. I'm picking up Coleman right now in the event maybe next week all this. Now it's like, oh crap, Coleman's a full fab dump.
because Dobbins is out for the year or something. I want to get ahead of it. Yeah, I'm more on Jason's side. I'm only spending a few bucks. No, I'm not going heavy. Spending a few bucks of fad. Yeah. But if I had Dobbins, I would make it a priority. Yeah, that makes sense. Also, we have to be honest that, I mean, Dobbins can't stay healthy. Yeah. I know, you know, the injury prone label gets, you know, talked about like, oh, that's not a real thing. He invented it. He kind of is a real thing. I'm actually, I,
So I remember over the last couple years, all the, all the online docs hating the injury prone label. I'm, I'm so convinced. I'm doing a study soon in the next couple months because I feel like it's absolutely a thing. There's, I'm just saying there's a couple guys that you could say that about. Yeah, and maybe the data will, will say that it's wrong, but I, I feel like.
future injuries, one of the best predictors might be past injuries. Yeah, but it's just like... Just depends on the type. I think there's a lot of nuance to it. Yeah. Matt 14. Breaking your fibula or like constantly pulling your hamstring. I mean, those are, ones are like biological problem. Jordan Tyson absolutely has a hamstring problem. Yeah. Mike Evans, hamstring problem. Nico. Nico has had repeated issues and his training. Will Johnson, uh, cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals, fell in the draft, not because of how good he is, but because teams were worried about his medicals.
Got hurt last year. Got hurt this year. It's like... But my counterpart was like Matt Forte was injury prone until he wasn't. Frank Gore. Keenan Allen was injury prone. And now he's going to go down in the Hall of Fame with some of the most... Maybe number three. We're hoping players like Christian Watson changes in their training, establish them to be, you know, more healthy. To be honest, if I was... I don't think the running back names are...
pick up and start guys other than potentially Emmanuel Wilson because of the fact that I don't think that George Salami situation is ever going to happen and I think Judarian Price's shoulder injury and fumble could cause the team to say hey let's ride the hot hand Emmanuel Wilson 21 for 92
probably sees more snaps. Oh, the Halani Hive is just wrecked right now. We're all four of them? Yeah. There was a loud. Yeah, there was a loud group. And I just, I was like, there's no way. Yeah, no, it was Emmanuel Wilson. Yes. I think Emmett Johnson is the best addition to hold. 100,000 percent. Because you, here's the thing is, like, Jonah Coleman is a great, like, player.
But you saw it this past weekend. He played 40% of snaps when there was no Dobbins and no Harvey. And then Tyler Biday gets worked in, and I've been annoyed by Peyton's use of the running back rotation anyways. If the formerly injury prone, occasionally, I mean, he's going to be getting a big workload, if Kenneth Walker goes down, I think we've seen enough for Emmett Johnson already to say he would be, first of all, he'd get all the work. Yeah. Second of all, he looks really good. He looks great. And third, it's an offense I trust right now.
So to me, like he's 36% rostered. So I'm bringing it up because it's like, okay, maybe he's rostered in some of your leagues. But if you have Ken Walker, he's a must add. Like a must add now, not later when he's, you know, full fab dump because Ken Walker goes down for a week. Add him now. There's a chance. Andy Reid came out this morning and said, you know, we're going to give him more work. We don't want Ken Walker to have to have this level of a workload.
So to me, he's kind of my number one of the list. He has an absolute must be rostered in 100% of leagues. I think he could possibly develop into a player that you could start, you know, is like in a double flex. Sure. For instance, this week, right? They're playing the dolphins, I believe, is the match. Yep. So it's like you're telling me when the chiefs are up.
How much is Walker playing in the fourth quarter of that game, genuinely? Like, how many touchdowns is, is Emmett going to get in the fourth quarter? Probably one. Yeah, Emmett should be rostered. And the Sequin Barclay's injury, we still need more information. Like, he was, we got the news two days ago. He was going to get an MRI on his neck for the stinger. Is everything okay with Sequin Barkley? I know he went back in the game, but if he has, like,
If he has an injury to his neck that needs some time off, then Tank Biggsby and Will Shipley will work themselves in as well. By the way, real quick sidebar injury update. I just want to mention this because it came out earlier this hour, just that Sean McVeigh is not sure if Bukkah is going to play in week three right now. Oh, really? It's definitely up for grabs right now. It came out yesterday off air that Andy believes that there's a chance any minute we hear about a...
hernia surgery? I'm just worried about sports hernia when I start to hear like when I hear multiple reports. Well, here's the problem. Hip is the big report. But then like Sean McVease is groin. And you start getting into that sports hernia abdomen area where I just look, it's not reporting. It's just writing on the wall. It's just like what's going on like maybe maybe it's the hip because he compensated for something in training camp. I do not know. But there's another player that has had frequent injury problems.
Apparently, Devante Adams is capable of being the number one. Yeah, he's okay. He's okay. And we said throw out that week one Australia game and turns out, yes, that was. They were just tired. Yeah, they were tired from flying a minute ago. Back to the Kenneth Walker, Emmett. Okay. Oh, okay. Go ahead. So I just was looking at this up because I know Kenneth Walker's been an absolute bell cow beast the first two weeks. He's on pace for 535 opportunities. That is.
That is impossible. Not enough. Bone bros. Now to the Saquan Barkley backup situation because Saquan dealt with a stinger before and missed games and he's going to get more a second look at this. He came back at the game and so it's like, okay, maybe it's not a big deal. Or maybe he misses time. If he misses time, there's going to be a big debate and I think right now there's going to be an over mad rush to the waiver wire for Tank Biggsby and Will Shipley. Here's how it worked. Tank Biggsby.
did not get all the work. I thought that if Sequin went down, Tank gets the roll and will be a league winner. That was not the case. Basically what happened is Tank got the rushing work and Shipley got the passing work. They kind of were the exact inverse on routes versus snaps. Because Biggsby still got a couple targets. Yes. But the routes were going to shipwit. The routes and the snaps, they were sharing them. Obviously, I mean, it's so funny. I was going to say,
You don't expect over the last couple years the Eagles to be in these down situations where they're throwing the ball. To the Tennessee Titans? But then there's like, if they're down to the Titans, who. So anyways, I think it's a split. I don't have to pick. If I have to pick one of those two, it would be Bigsby because I don't expect them to be in that level of passing situation going forward. And the touchdown upside is going to be on.
with Bigsby. So, I mean, there was a lot of names that are not really startable assets. Would you drop Jonathan Brooks or Kenny Gainwell right now to pick up any of those names? Kenny Gainwell, two, two fantasy points and three. Yeah, like Kenny Gainwell, that situation feels like it's shaking out. That Bucky Irving is just, he's going to be the man. 1A1B is nonsense. It's, it's Bucky. What a pick, Jay. And then, yeah, your clairvoyance there, right?
Right before your draft pick of knowing what was going to happen. I saw the future. He got one of those magic eight balls. On the clock. Brooks is hard because of, do we have any more injury update? I think that he's going to rehab. It was week to week groin injury. I would, I would, it's just hard to see him going from. Yeah, I guess I'm willing to move on from him. I are spot, hopefully, tuck him in the out.
That would be great if you've got it. It's a tough situation. I think he is not certainly not a must drop and certainly a can drop. Because if he was on waivers, it just depends on my roster. I would be willing to pick him up. When does Chuba get respect? Never. Never. I mean, he should. A couple years ago, he got respect and he got a big payday. Well, by them, but I don't think by the fantasy community ever. He got it from you. I mean, do you realize that, yeah, from me? Yeah, Chuba Hubbard.
RB 10 and RB 11 through two weeks. Yes, he has played very well. He has a receiving touchdown in both weeks, and the Panthers are cooking. It's not just the like, oh, respect to. It's the Panthers are, this is a team reborn. Bryce Young looks like an actual legit quarterback through two weeks. We're going to talk about him. Wide receivers, guys, to me, it's Denzel Boston. Cleveland wide receiver has looked the part through two weeks, 42% rostered.
