Black-shirt pickleball becomes a life-or-death commitment

All three hosts visibly coordinate in black. The desk recalls that Jason and Al refused light shirts for outdoor Arizona pickleball because black avoided a wet-T-shirt look, even if it nearly killed them; 'Every man dies. Not every man truly lives' completes the defense.

moment

Jason takes four victory laps before Josh Downs plays

Jason admits slandering Josh Downs while the rookie still has not played, says he is already on lap two of a stage-one victory lap, and declares that four laps is when he quits.

moment

A full human booth means no more Jay Griz

When Brooks is asked about Ducers Alley, the answer says the booth is all filled, 'No more Jay Gris,' and expresses happiness that the guys are back; the Rapscallion is also named. Exact direct frames show three humans in the neon three-station booth and no Jay object.

moment

Al debrides an ankle and a marriage

The hosts look to Al because he appears to know debridement. Al says he has undergone the procedure, a pronunciation correction becomes 'debrisment,' and debridement is redefined as getting divorced or 'debriding.'

moment

Andy reopens the failed Gabe Davis My Guy file

Andy calls Gabe Davis the quintessential post-hype sleeper, acknowledges that the prior My Guy selection failed through inconsistency, and argues that a discounted return is possible while managers should cut bait if the same pattern survives.

moment

Jason places his chips on James Dalvin Cook

Jason argues for James Cook as the Buffalo backfield bet and closes by calling his choice the 'James Dalvin Cook side,' reinforcing the unusual real-name pairing later verified as James Cook and James Dalvin Cook.

moment

Jason's Achane bet ends in the fourth row

Jason is identified as ranking Achane far ahead of consensus and frequently drafting him. He calls the 4.32 runner a special outlier in a perfect one-cut system: a crease means a 60-yard touchdown, while the hosts counter that his first NFL hit may launch him into Row 4.

moment

New England hangs in the desaturated Upside Down

Buffalo is compared with a colorful meadow painting, while the Patriots become the Upside Down: desaturated, drained of excitement, and covered by malaise.

moment

Kyle researches Ty Montgomery's 1976 rookie year

The desk asks Kyle how long Ty Montgomery has been in the league, first jokes that his rookie season was 1976, and then supplies the real 2015 date.

moment

Zach Wilson becomes Aaron Rodgers's suckerfish

The hosts cast backup Zach Wilson as a suckerfish swimming beside Aaron Rodgers's shark, hanging around to eat whatever leftovers the larger animal leaves behind.

moment

Abanikanda must earn a labor-intensive drop

Israel Abanikanda's name triggers 'A ban a can to don't want none.' The hosts admire it, say the player must do something for it to hold up, and note that producing the drop took many moments.

moment

Jason is on three clocks inside 800 best-ball drafts

The best-ball segment introduces Jason as knee-deep in another 600–800 drafts, and Jason immediately reports that he is currently on the clock in three.

Episode notes

Complete review of the transcript, all 40 storyboard sheets, and targeted direct-video frames shows Mike left in a black T-shirt, black cap with teal brim, and visible arm tattoos; Jason center in a black polo and black-framed glasses; and Andy right in a black T-shirt and gray cap. Their turf-topped desk holds a black Fantasy Footballers helmet, laptops, teal and white mugs, a chrome retro microphone/trophy, miniature footballs, shoes, and numerous player figures. No host is missing. The crucial Jay Griz line arrives after Brooks is asked about Ducers Alley: the booth is 'all filled up,' there is 'No more Jay Gris,' and the crew is happy to have its guys back, with the Rapscallion also named in the building. Direct frames at the exact exchange show three live humans occupying three workstations under the neon DUCERS ALLEY sign, with no Jay cutout, bear image, drop, empty chair, or Jay prop. This is a verbal Jay appearance and a strong human-return/displacement parallel, not a physical cameo or fill-in. Earlier, all three hosts note their coordinated black shirts. Jason and Al are remembered refusing light colors for outdoor Arizona pickleball to avoid a wet-T-shirt look even if they nearly died; the defense escalates to 'Every man dies. Not every man truly lives.' Jason admits slandering rookie Josh Downs before he has played, calls himself already on victory-lap two, and says he quits after four laps. Al is consulted because he looks like someone who understands ankle debridement, says he has undergone it, and participates in the chain that turns the procedure into 'debriding' a divorce. Kyle is twice treated as backstage research: first for injury-rate data after missed conditioning and later for Ty Montgomery's years in the league. The latter lookup begins with the joke that Montgomery's rookie year was 1976 and ends with the real answer 2015. Andy revisits Gabe Davis as his failed prior My Guy and a quintessential post-hype sleeper, with permission to cut bait if the same inconsistency returns. Jason chooses the 'James Dalvin Cook side,' reinforcing the real Cook-brothers name bit. Jason is also explicitly the host far above consensus on De'Von Achane, drafts him frequently, and argues that an undersized 4.32 runner in Miami's one-cut system may be a special outlier; the counter-image is Achane landing in the fourth row after his first hit. New England becomes a desaturated Upside Down painting with malaise instead of a beautiful Buffalo meadow. Zach Wilson is cast as the suckerfish beside Aaron Rodgers's shark, eating leftovers. Israel Abanikanda triggers the laboriously prepared 'A ban a can to don't want none' drop. The best-ball close jokes that Jason is knee-deep in another 600–800 drafts, and he confirms he is simultaneously on the clock in three. There is no Listener League or Megalabowl information in this episode.

around him, George Pickens, Gabe Davis, Quentin Johnston, Jordan Addison, Cadarious, Tony. I have Jehan Dodson ahead of all of those guys significantly. It doesn't mean that other players don't have opportunities, but Jehan Dodson is somebody that I think he is primed for a breakout season with a new offensive coordinator, with two new quarterbacks, maybe one to work out. But this is a thousand-yard plus receiver, and I think that that is... kind of a conservative estimate for him this year with what this offense is going to try to do. Part of me hopes it's Jacoby Brissette the whole time and that they have some success. How dare you? Oh, that was wonderful. Thank you. So I think, you know, those first four weeks scored a touchdown, then he got hurt, took him a while to come back, and he's being undervalued. And it's evident here. This is first round draft pedigree. First round.

Production. The kid had a good year for the amount of time that he was on a football field, and he's surrounded, like he's going behind Jordan Addison, who's, we project that Jordan Addison is going to be good? I can't tell you for sure. Cadarius Tony, is he good? I don't really know. Gabe Davis, we talked about that. Is it good? I don't really know. I don't really know, but I do know that Johan Dawson can already get done on an NFL field. Yeah, I do know about Jordan Addison, though. That's the name I want to bring up because Jordan Addison is a super... You've seen something that we haven't seen. He's no, because I've seen what you have seen. He's super good at football. He's a great wide receiver. He's a Blitnikov Award winner. And he lands in a place where his opportunity from week one is going to be outlandish. Do you know that Adam Thielen ran...

103 more routes than C.D. Lamb last year. He was number two in the league. He's gone. He goes into this role. He's not going to have harsh coverage on him with Justin Jefferson across the field. So I really like Jordan Edison for the chance. I mean, this is best ball, right? You're trying to find league winners in best ball. You're trying to find guys that can really explode because we haven't seen him and he's a rookie. There is the chance that he's... better than we hope, better than we expect. So he's one name and then the other guy. I brought him up. What about worse than we expect and worse than we've seen? Is that a possibility? It's absolutely a possibility. It's a possibility with any of these guys. But we, you know, with Gabe Davis, right? Gabe Davis is a post-hyped sleeper. Maybe, you know, it's good offense. There's reasons to say that that's a good pick. But we've seen him have opportunity and not come through. To your point, and I'm going to share information here off a tweet from Lucas.

Wynn C.L. Last year, Kirk Cousin, second in red zone pass attempts, second in past attempts inside the 10. Adam Thielen fifth and red zone targets, fifth and red zone receptions, fifth and red zone, fifth and receptions inside the 10. So if it's Addison, yeah, I mean, there's going to be opportunity. Now maybe it's Hawkinson, maybe it's KJ Osborne, but, but the opportunity for someone to step up there is tremendous. It's a great. landing spot for him. I was very excited when he went there. The other name I just want to bring up is because in the late rounds, you're looking for people that can crack your scoring lineup. You know, it's automatically done for you. And whenever a guy gets a touchdown, he's usually good enough to score for your roster. And the touchdown opportunities for David Montgomery inheriting that Jamal Williams role, Jamal Williams just had the most rushing attempts inside the five-yard line of all time.

58:35 ↗

you know, Jemir Gibbs is great. But Jemir Gibbs will not be used as the goal line guy there. He wasn't in college. He's small. He's not a pile mover. And they're going to David Montgomery in. And Jared Gough sucks around the goal line. Like there's a reason that they kept going to Jamal Williams because their offensive line is great. They don't have to worry about turning the ball over. And they kept scoring touchdowns. I think David Montgomery in the seventh round is going to be an eight to 12 touchdown scorer this year. I'm looking forward to talking about that NFC North Division and those lions that you just mentioned. But you're going to have to wait. Also, expect some mayhem on Saturday. Yes. Don't miss it. See you then. Goodbye.
