Yeah, you've got unrestricted free agents, which is a free agent. That's just what you'd expect it to be. Restricted free agent means a player can sign an offer sheet with any team, but then his 2021 team can keep him on the roster by signing him to a restricted Tinder, an exclusive rights free agent. That means they are not a free agent. That's the way that I've always seen it. Because that's the truth. Right. It means a player's going to, if a team doesn't want them.

They can let him go, but if they want them, they just, they get to keep them. And then obviously, you know, talking about cap, the cap hit is how much, you know, not how much he's paid, but how much that's going to affect the salary cap that year. And dead money, if we talk about that, is money owed to players who aren't even on the team anymore. There's a lot of teams still paying for old players.

So today, 4 p.m. Eastern franchise tag deadline. Monday the 14th is the what they now call the legal tampering period where teams can, this is where they can enter contract negotiations announce inevitable signings. So tampering. Tampering. Okay, legal for the gambling. Oh, come on. There's a difference. Now you can't bet on which players go to which teams. What's funny is that that to me always says that free agency opens on Monday the 14th.

Frank Gore has begs to differ. Sure, but there are situations where the reports are wrong. Well, the reports are usually wrong. The reports are just pulled back. The player changes his mind like with Frank Gore. He was going. Well, I'm just saying. Then the reports can be wrong. They can, Frank Gore has did not play on the Eagles. Yes. So, uh, but a lot of news is going to break on the 14th. And then the official league year begins on the 16th.

of March. Before we get into our predictions at each position, teams with most cap space, the Dolphins, $61 million, the Chargers, $57 million, Jacksonville, 56, Bengals 48, Jets, 44. making a huge impact. So we do have James Winston that he could return to the Saints or be given a job. We have Mitchell Trubisky who played behind Josh Allen in Buffalo and seems like one of the targets this offseason as a free agent. He's a he's a hot topic right now at the Combine. A lot of people were talking about there's going to be a market for Mitchell Trubisky and we expect him to be a starter in 2022. He's taking a team to the playoffs two times and we can mock him.

like professionals, which we do, but he is better than the worst quarterbacks playing football right now. So let's start with our predictions on where Jimmy Garoppolo, Jimmy G, ends up. I went with Tampa Bay. I think it's a good fit there. You know, it'll be a little bit interesting with the fact that he was behind Tom Brady and New England could come in and operate a functional offense with some good weapons in Tampa Bay.

and maybe renew optimism. This team, you listen to the GM talk about it. It's a win now team. They need to bring somebody in that's not going to be a developmental project. And I know that they're going to kick the tires on the Russell Wilson's and things like that, but I think Jimmy G is the most realistic target. I haven't going to Tampa as well. If that does, in fact, happen, it will be very interesting to see how Garoppolo handles the first year in the Bruce Aryan system, which.

Generally speaking, quarterbacks, the first year in the Arian system, they throw a lot of interceptions because the whole, the system is designed to let's get down the field, which, and it's not that Gropolo can't. He has just kind of shown he prefers not to do that. He likes the guys real close. Yeah, and he's not one to.

never turn the ball over either. He likes throwing picks from time to time. 33 and 14 as a starter in his career. Yeah, he has had good teams around him. So I've got him going to the Denver Broncos. I think that the Denver Broncos are still a realistic team in the Aaron Rogers hunt. A lot of people are saying that the, you know, biggest non-secret.

at the combine was that Aaron Rogers is going to go back to the Packers. I do think that the Broncos is where he would go if he leaves. Assuming they do not get him, they are a team that is not wanting to stand still at quarterback. I think they will go out and make a move, and Jimmy G would be the next best get for fantasy, wherever Jimmy Garoppolo goes.

I will be out on that wide receiver core. Obviously, Debo was great this last year. Even Tampa? Yeah, because I don't think that Jimmy G will support, like I look at all of the, you know, the last couple years of the mediocre quarterback changes. They just don't, they just don't, you know, make value that for the wide receiver core. That was one of my things to remember. So I will be more out. Obviously, Debo had a great season, but that was.

That was Debo. That was just him being untacklable. Yeah, I mean, I would feel better about Godwin than I would Mike Evans if he went to Tampa. And I, the short area capabilities there. Yeah, I mean, yeah, don't get me wrong. I would be happier with Evans and Godwin's value with Garablo than with Kyle Trask.

But certainly not to the level of Brady. They would take a major step backwards. They will no matter what. What about James Winston? I'm the only person that doesn't think he will get a starting job in this room. So I think he'll be the backup in San Francisco. I think that that is where he could go. It gives them the option to pivot if they have to due to injury, get a veteran in the locker room, somebody by beside Tray Lance.

Yeah, I guess getting a veteran backup could be there for Lance. I wonder if once Garoppolo's gone, if they want that or if they just want, you know, the hand kind of forced. But I've got them returning to the Saints. They've cleared a bunch of cap space recently. They don't have a good quarterback on the roster. So I think Winston goes back to New Orleans. I think they can get them back into Saints for, in quarterback terms, not a ton of money. And this.

They're going to be rebuilding. So I've got James going back. So getting him back slash wanting him back. Yes. You think they want him to be the quarterback. More Ridley news just breaking every two seconds. Played parles on his cell phone. Okay. Yeah, I mean, it's difficult because I know that it's going to be letter to the law for every player. But you talk about every, this is one of the weird. It's not a player that even tore an ACL and was out for the year.

and is at the games. It wasn't even around. It is a really good message to send to the rest of the ways. It is. Because he has access to, right? NFL players have access to things that the public doesn't have access to. So, you know, you're going to know what's going on in locker rooms. You're going to know what's going on with injury reports. And you just got to draw that line firm. Mitchell Trubesky, I'm going with the Pittsburgh Steelers. I think that's where he's going to end up. Okay.

And if you want to make Mitch Trubisky look great, stack him up next to Dwayne Haskin. Stack him up next to Mason, Rudolph, and Mitchell looks like a Greek god. Yeah, I would like that. I think he would thrive there. I've got him going to the Colts, though. They're trying to get rid of Carson Wins. That don't like him. And I think Mitchell Trubisky would be. I think he would be.

Quite an upgrade. This is a team that needs a couple more pieces on offense, right? Jonathan Taylor's great. Pittman looks like he could be something. And then it's not in this cricket. T.Y. Hilton is done. Pascals, you know, a. Ashton Dooland. Yeah, I like him. I mean, you got some threes here, but they need a couple more pieces. And I think Trubisky is one of them. If you, real quick, before we leave that team, because if he goes to the Colts.

I can't find my, like how do you react, goes to Pittsburgh, Deonte, you go to the Colts, Michael Pittman. I can't imagine either of those is going to be like unmitigated excitement for those options. No, not at all. I think under those situations, you are hesitant to draft either of those wide receivers with any kind of heavy, heavy value. Really? I would be, yeah. I mean, like, there's Trubisky coming in can't be.

if somehow he's worse than Carson wins, which I can't imagine he is. They'll probably be worse than Carson wins. I don't think he will. Carson wins on the field. I think the reason that they don't want Carson Winston around has a lot to do with more than just the play. Maybe. I mean, he did a lot of stupid things this year. And Big Ben was a big Ben was terrible. Yes. So I think that Trubisky going to both of those places doesn't change my.

outlook. I'll put it that way of like if you were cool with Deontay Johnson in the fourth or the fifth round, wherever it was with Big Ben. And he's there. I would be cool with that. Never throw them for more than 3,200 yards in a season. Sure. And Wince gave them 3,500 last year, missing some time too. I don't know. I just, there's a lot of unproof. I think people are optimistic because just the reset, right? Then no longer with the Bears, high draft capital.

with a good organization for a year. I don't know. And I have him going to the Broncos. Trubisky of these guys is the most interesting because it's draft capital is out of the way. Like you don't have to worry about, does someone have a high enough pick to get the quarterback? And like all three of those locations, Steelers, Colts, Broncos all really need a solution at the quarterback position. I don't know if Trubisky can be that. But I mean, I even heard on Eisen.

Today, Rich Eisen's show that Pete's out there saying he is hearing the same exact thing of Trubisky is going to get a solid contract and he's going to be a starter. He's just, just to let everybody know, he's not going to be the answer that anyone is looking for. We can double down? Oh, yeah. I mean, he's a better option than the other guys at those three teams that we just mentioned, Wins, assuming he's gone. But he's not the answer.

Sam Donald or Mitchell Trubisky. Trubisky. Running backs, can we move on? Can we talk about some exciting running back situations if they are out there? Chris Carson is a potential cut candidate. He's only got one year left with Seattle. I think they said he's going to be back. They seem to be talking that way. Things could change with Rashad Penny situation. Jamal Williams arrives in Detroit last year. If they cut him, it's cheap to cut him. He's only 26, though. I'd be surprised. Yeah, I'll think they keep him. They like the guy. Everyone likes him.

Because he's awesome. Carlos Hyde seems more. I can't believe Carlos Hyde got a two-year contract. How is that possible? Urban. You have some restricted exclusive rights, free agents, Boston Scott, De Ernest Johnson's a, is he restricted? Boston? No, Deerness. Yes. Yes. I believe he is restricted.
