Week 6 Waivers + Full Stream Ahead, Miracles & Nightmares - Fantasy Football Podcast for 10/12

Do you like Booker because of the known opportunity? Because the matchups and the offense are there for Darrell Williams. Yeah, I mean, I think these guys are kind of 1A, 1B. I prefer Booker because of the fact that they utilize their running back and he's going to be 85% of it. The way that I look at Darrell Williams is, you know, Jerich McKinnon is there.

and he hasn't been that involved over the first month of the season, but last week he was on the field for 31% of snaps, and he was worked in. He was the passing downs guy. So I think this is going to be closer to a 50-50. I would say a 60-40 timeshare in Darrell Williams' favor. Darrell's the guy to target first, predominantly. He would be the one that will have the most fantasy points in this offense. I also think you can target Jerich McKinnon.

especially in a PPR league and pick him up. You know, if you don't have the fab to get one of these big names, let McKinnon fall to you and you can grab him and get something. But I would put them in that order. Booker, Darrell Williams, and then McKinnon. But obviously the matchups, matchups are much nicer over the next two weeks for the Kansas City Chiefs. Lower tier running back options that could be available on your waiver wire.

Alex Collins of the Seattle Seahawks. He received the majority of the work. Again, we don't know the status of Chris Carson, so I'm not going hard in the paint after Collins. But with Russell Wilson out, if Chris Carson is out, I would expect Collins yet again to be a focal point of the offense. But the Chicago Bears. Khalil Herbert. And this one, this brings a smile to my heart because Herbert was like,

He was that the guy in the rookie process where I was watching his tape from Virginia Tech and saying, I think this player actually has juice. Now, I'm not a professional scout. I'm not an NFL GM. A little bit of a professional scout. Well, you know. I mean, we do scout players for during a certain part of the year. We do scout players for our job. So, you know. But anyways, Damien Williams, Damien Williams was.

He was the one who got the goal line carries. But Herbert, 18 carries, 75 yards. 18 for 75 and look good. Yeah, and he did look good. This is a, it's not Damien Williams getting everything. It's Herbert was also involved. Now, Herbert was more involved when they were up. So perhaps it was just a game script that they're saying Herbert is, we're going to let him, you know,

grind out the clock and they have a matchup against Green Bay coming up where they're probably not going to be doing that. Hayden Winks pointed out some nice context there that in negative and neutral game situations, it was still Damien Williams, who was the guy. At the end of the game, Khalil Herbert finished out with 17 of 18 touches when they had a lead later in the game. So it's a question of did they make the transition because they saw something in Herbert and thought, I'm going to ride the hot hand and maybe he gets more involved.

Or is it they were up and they needed to protect the lead and that's how they view Herber and they're not going to be in that situation against Green Bay. Obviously, Damien Williams is not going to be on your waivers. If he is, absolutely pick him up. If for some reason he was not scooped up last week, make sure to check for Damien Williams. Assuming he is gone, Khalil Herbert should be picked up. AJ Dillon, in my opinion, still remains a must stash on your bench.

You know, he's starting to get a little bit more involved in terms of opportunities. He had four catches for 49 and a score, and he looks more than competent in that area. I'm not saying that he's taking over, he's not turning this into a 50-50 timeshare with Aaron Jones. Jones is a superstar player. But if Jones misses time, as he frequently has, A.J. Dillon goes right in your lineup as a smash running back one start.

Don't let the opportunity happen where Jones misses time and A.J. Dillon is someone now you have to fight on the waiver wire. He needs to be stashed. I agree completely with you, and he's working his way more onto the field. He's trying to inch closer to being one of those Tony Pollard types where you can play him in a pinch. The flex with benefits, as I call him. Oh, flex with benefits. Nice. But the guy that I might look to even ahead of him right now is Brandon Bolden. Yes.

Now they're going to be playing the Dallas Cowboys, a team that can score on them. And I think that the passing work for... Houston was able to score on them, Jason. Yes, in the beginning. Yes, Houston did jump out to a lead. It looked like they should have won the game. But Houston only scored 22 total points. I would imagine that Dallas beats that number. Do you prefer...

You can pick him up and you can play him immediately against the Kansas City Chiefs. I like picking him. He went fully into the Logan Thomas role and more. And Washington's going to have to keep up on the offensive side of the football. Dan Arnold.

The Jacksonville Jaguars traded away a very high pick for him or a player who was drafted high. First rounder. And Dan Arnold eight targets. Six for 64. In fact, if he didn't have a fumble. I'm not mad at that. Which I believe the fumble was like his first touch of the game.

If he didn't have the fumble, his fantasy finish would have been pretty good. Six for 64 at the tight end position is fine. He played on 73% of the snap still getting worked in. I would rather pick Dan Arnold up over Ricky Seals Jones because you have the chance of him being a long-term solution versus a short-term Logan Thomas replacement. If you have to pick someone up just for one week, just for I need one start.

I think it's Zachertz. You're playing against Tampa Bay. You've got to throw the ball a lot. He's going to be alone. I would pick up Zacherts and just close my eyes. Yes. And plug your nose. Yep. The Colts will play the Houston Texans. The Miami Dolphins will be taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Those are the ones I would be targeting. And then the Panthers against Minnesota, it's not terrible. And then the last one, I'll throw out Green Bay. They get to take on the Chicago Bears and they hobbled Justin Fields. He's going to play. He's good to go. But Fields hasn't been lighting the world on fire, which we hoped that he had. And I think Trevor Lawrence is the game is going to be in London. He's starting to run the ball.

You know, around the goal line, he can get the rushing touchdowns. And I just, you know, you look at the arc, the trend of these rookies. And sometimes it takes them a while to figure it out. He's still doing absolutely stupid boneheaded rookie things. But he was the quarterback nine this last week. Granted, Tennessee was an easier matchup. But I think he's going to put that back to back and have a good performance against the dolphins who have.

giving up a lot of points lately. Speaking of players that made boneheaded decisions last week, Taylor Heineke. I love this one. Of Washington. This would be my start. I'm, if you are desperate at the quarterback position and you need a streamer, this one's going to, it's going to feel bad. Oh, I feel great. I think you should go ahead and do it. He's taking on the Kansas City Chiefs who in the past month have allowed the quarterback two, the quarterback two, the quarterback seven, and the quarterback four.

Kyle the Borgogan hit me up with this stat. He said, The Kansas City Chiefs are allowing a first down on 43% of their opponent's pass attempts. That is absurd. Yeah, you want to know how absurd for context. Sure. Mahomes is gaining a first down on 43% of his past attempts, the best in the NFL. So essentially you're playing Mahomes against himself.

It's a shadow match. The last four weeks, the Kansas City Chiefs have given up the quarterback four, the quarterback seven, the quarterback two, and the quarterback two.
