The hosts normally melt together before the giant TV wall
The three hosts usually spend Sunday in the studio trying to watch every snap simultaneously on a giant TV wall and reacting together until they melt; this weekend's travel/home/studio split is described as rare.
moment
Monday Punday offers terrible team-name advice
Listener submissions mutate the weekend's players into names such as Cade Rotten, Brock Bowers, Doodoo Samuel, Joe Nuffin Taylor, DK Met Crap, Christian McCrappery, and Amon Blah St. Brown; the curator warns these may be his worst selections ever.
moment
Drake Maye is literally surrounded by booty
A lack-of-weapons discussion exploits Kayshon Boutte's surname until Drake Maye is declared literally surrounded by booty and the show announces that the joke has already peaked.
moment
Doctor Jason weaponizes injury reports
Imaginary Doctor Jason fails every opposing quarterback's concussion check, gives his own players steroids, anonymously requests testing, and already has the backup rostered before the suspension arrives.
moment
The hosts cannot remember whether trains can stop
A train cue revives an old safety read. The hosts cycle through 'trains can't stop,' 'trains can't stop, you can,' a long debate over braking distance, and finally the compressed instruction 'Stop. Trains can't.'
moment
McBride is a twelve-foot pink binky
Kyler Murray's missed end-zone throws are explained by open Trey McBride appearing twelve feet tall; the same target volume then turns McBride into Kyler's literal pink security binky.
moment
Jason refuses the Jonnu Smith evidence
Jason argues that Jonnu hurts Miami, refuses to recommend him or call him a Hall of Famer, chooses Cade Otton instead, and admits he simply dislikes Jonnu while the others call him a weirdo, liar, and bad analyst. They diagnose the grudge as leftover Kyle Pitts frustration from Arthur Smith's Atlanta offense.

The tenth Megalodon is three shows in one
The hosts announce the annual pre-Thanksgiving Megalodon, explicitly define it as Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday content jammed into one extra-large prehistoric episode, add exclusive giveaways, and identify it as their tenth.
summary
Episode notes
Andy, Jason, and Mike open Megalodon Week by describing the podcast as a break from a demanding weekend. They normally watch every Sunday snap together in the studio before a giant TV wall, reacting and melting as a group, but Mike traveled, one host stayed home, and one watched from the studio. Monday Punday then turns listener submissions into deliberately bad player-name mutations including Doodoo Samuel, Cade Rotten, Brock Bowers, Joe Nuffin Taylor, DK Met Crap, Christian McCrappery, and Amon Blah St. Brown. An unidentified host also needs Lamar Jackson and Zay Flowers to beat Mark Andrews by 30 in the 'Horror Bowl.' A Drake Maye discussion peaks when his lack of weapons is described as being literally surrounded by 'booty.' Kyle supplies a live correction that Anthony Richardson lacked enough rookie starts for the data set. The injury report inspires a fantasy in which Doctor Jason declares opponents concussed, pumps his own players full of steroids, anonymously reports them for testing, and already owns their backups—'chemical warfare and fantasy football.' Jeremy remains Al Borland in a Bucky Irving aside, while Brooks is assigned live snap-count lookup duty. An old railroad-safety read returns as 'Trains can't stop. You can,' gets overexplained, briefly misremembered, and is then restored to 'Stop. Trains can't.' The hosts imagine Kyler Murray seeing open Trey McBride as twelve feet tall, airmailing him, and then using McBride as a pink binky. The episode's long argument is Jason's refusal to accept Jonnu Smith: he says Jonnu hurts Miami despite strong scoring, is ordered to unsay it, is called a weirdo and bad analyst, picks Cade Otton over him after the trade deadline, and finally admits the resistance may trace to Jonnu taking work from Kyle Pitts under Arthur Smith. The close defines the coming Megalodon as Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday jammed into one prehistoric episode and identifies it as the tenth edition. Complete published-video review stays with the three ordinarily dressed hosts, standard camera angles, segment-title monitors, and routine player lower thirds; it shows no Sunday TV wall, Punday cards, doctor costume, syringe, train, giant McBride, pink binky, Jonnu courtroom, prehistoric Megalodon, or producer-row cut. Jay Griz is absent; no Jay Griz name, prop, drop, or presence appears.
figure things out really quick. They've got to get their groove back. Yeah. And I don't know if it's coming back. If Purdy is not healthy. Uh, uh, uh, Jonathan Taylor. Oh, man. Uh, 11 for 35. Detroit's run defense is really tough. We knew it would probably be a bad game, but no targets. No targets is the real problem. Um, no targets and no opportunities really to score touchdowns because. And again, we just discussed how good the Lions defense has been. They shut down the Colts. The Colts could do nothing all game. But it was like the way that Jonathan Taylor is used is just not that good with Anthony Richardson. He doesn't get those leakouts, the checkdowns, the really valuable stuff that he's still very good at, just not the way that his quarterback plays. So I think you're going to enjoy.
easy matchups, soft defenses where you expect the Colts to win in a game against Detroit that's just, that's not the recipe for success. James Connor received seven rushing attempts and had eight yards. The Cardinals while struggling on offense, which by the way, if you watch the Cardinals play football, the entirety of their success on offenses here has been predicated on giving James Connor the ball who breaks more tackles than anybody in football. They gave him seven attempts in four quarters. Weird. He caught five passes. He had two big plays callback on penalty. It was a just disappearing yet. It was so frustrating because the way you win if your Arizona is to hand the ball up and they didn't do it. Yep. Well, it was rainy. You got to throw. Yeah. It was sorry. Is that? No, yeah, I got it. Yeah. Tyrone Tracy, nine for 42, fumbled for the second straight game. That's the worry. Also the worry just of how.
They were splitting up the work. There were some, if you had Jonathan Taylor, you hoped you played James Connor. If you had Tyrone and Tracy, you hoped you faced Ramandre Stevenson and his 8 for 13 with no catches. You also had kind of a shift. I believe that there were your boy. Yes, Antonio Gibson out snapped Ramandre. Yeah. Well, he was, yeah, Ramandre was basically not doing anything. They were getting shut out. Without looking, I don't know if you've seen this yet, Giovante Williams had eight carries. Do you know how many yards he had? I do. Eight carries, he's got to have at least. At least eight yards, right? Yeah, you would think so. What do you have there? Negative two total rushing yards on eight carries. It wasn't like the other two guys. This is part of why I love Bo Nix. McLaughlin and Estimate also didn't produce good numbers. So they didn't run.
McLaughlin was the hottest hand. Yeah, but wasn't he like four for 40 or something? Seven for 44. Okay. I mean like, sure. Yards for carrying like, that's, that's excellent. Jason's point is. But you can't play any of them right now. Bo Nix. Yeah, you're not going this. What did he do on the ground? Did he run it all? Yeah. Did Bo Nix happen to? Let me get his exact. I bet he out rushed Giovante. Oh, barely. He had five rushing yards this game. But the nice thing is if you want to score, if you're the Broncos and you've got to score, it's not coming on the ground. The run defense, the offensive line, the actual running backs you have, they are a weakness for you, which is great news for Corlin Sutton and Bowen. So a wide receiver, Justin Jefferson, five targets, two for 27. He.
Got Jordan Addison. I mean, you kept seeing these. And Hawkinson, too. Yeah, but I mean, it was over and over where. And I'm guessing you got Jalen Johnson. Addison was awesome. It just looked like they switched jerseys or something. Like it, he would, you know, Donald, go deep. They'd throw the ball off the screen and you're just hoping it's Justin Jefferson on the other side. And then you see this incredible catch while a guy is all over him and you assume, oh, that had to have been Justin Jefferson. And then the little itty bitty Jordan Addison gets up. He took so much that, I mean, Justin Jefferson had a bad game. And actually, recently he's had a stretch of not great games. I mean, the last three weeks.
He was the wide receiver 33, the wide receiver 29, the wide receiver 60. You throw this one away. This is Jalen Johnson. He'll be back. You need to give the credit where it's due. Addison took advantage of the opportunity, but Jalen Johnson is an all pro, followed him all over the field, the entire game. And the Vikings did what they should do, which is exploit matchups elsewhere. I mean, Hawkinson over 100, Addison nearly to 200. Normally Jefferson can overcome a bad matchup, but they didn't need to. So, by the way, if you were, somebody out there definitely has been trying to figure out, you know, Christian Watson or Jaylen Waddle, which guy do I throw in for a big game? If you chase, you lose. Because Christian Watson had no catches. He, no catches. Should have had one. Oh, yeah. He just had an epic drop. I mean, that's his career. Shoulda. Just, I'm just saying of like, it's.
The three targets is really disappointing, but one of them was a catastrophic drop. Yeah, and Jaden Reed only three targets. Honestly, San Francisco without Brock Purdy, they were so bad. This game was out of hand early. I mean, three rushing touchdowns for Josh Jacobs. It was a weird game. I mean, Debo had a bad game. Joanne Jennings had a bad game. Ricky Pearsall had a bad game. That is part of... What caused the wide receivers for Green Bay to have a bad game? Two quick conversations here for, for what it was, do-do Samuel? Is that what we called him at the beginning? One for 21. He was not playing as much. Like on, he was in an 11 and then on 12, he was, in 12 personnel, he was seating a lot of snaps to, to Ricky Pearsall, which is like, you should at least put your eyebrows up and.
and pay attention to it because it's not been great for Debo this year. And then Jayden Reed, what do we make of this where you could go, yeah, hey, he's the wide receiver 11 on the year. And yet it's since the first month of the season, after that it's been like, he's had some good, goodish games. I think Jason's right about the way this game ended up, not having to throw it a bunch. But this is why I wasn't going to put Jayden Reed into the category of, oh, I'm going to panic, trade CDLAM for him because he's not consistent enough. He's not integral. He's not elite enough to, you know, go out there every week no matter what and get it done. So, yeah, it was, Debo, I don't know if Debo is healthy. He was out with a calf injury early in the year. He was injured with a wrist injury a couple weeks ago. I think he is, he's very injury prone. I think he's playing hurt. I think he's playing angry.
because this team is so frustrated. They're used to dominance. Now they're near the bottom of the division. Are they last place in the division? I'm seeing a nod from the 49er fan. Yeah. They've got to be, are they tied with the Rams? The Rams are five and five, right? Five, no, Rams and Niners are both five and six. Okay. One game out of first. Yeah. I mean, Seahawks went from the basement to being tied with the Cardinals and then have the tiebreaker. So Tyree kill five for 48 in a game where Tua had 317 yards. Yikes. George Pickens 4-48 on Thursday night, Snow Bowl? Not a bad game. No, no. It wasn't a bad game. What do you do with Marvin Harrison? Because Marvin Harrison, you drafted him to be in every week's start. He has not been there. I mean, you're going to start him every week and you're going to be, you've got to have him in your lineup to have the big performances. And this one was a.
millimeter away from a touchdown. And you would have been totally fine with this performance. I do think you can make, I mean, do you disagree with me that you can make different decisions with him? Yeah, I mean, you do disagree or you don't? No, no, no. I think that he is someone that you need to take a strong look at and see what your other options are. But more often than not, I think he will end up in lineups as he should. I think he's still a top 24 play. Here's the problem, though. You want. volume and yards and you don't get it. You've only been happy in the games he scored. No, he scored in five games. You've been happy in five games. Every other game. He has none of the, like you talk about McBride. He has none of those games. There's never a, I mean, I'm trying to look back here. His yardage? He had 111 yards. He had 111 yards in week eight. 130 yards in week two.
Yeah, scored in both of those. He's a rookie. But he's averaging 49.6 yards a game. That's kind of the... Right. That's disappointing. And not PPR guy. Three catches, five catches, two catches, six catches, three, zero, two. I don't know. I think, like, wouldn't you find yourself in a hard place right now if you go into next week and you just got what you got from Waddle and you got what you got from Harrison? That one. Wouldn't that be hard for you? That one I don't think would be that hard. You just go back to Harrison? Yeah, Waddle's been so bad the entire season. One game feels like chasing. But you'd play Sutton over more. Oh, for sure. Sutton. I mean, there are, I agree with your point. What about Jordan Addison after that week? I don't think I would go all the way to Addison there. It's like you said. What about Tyree Kill? What about Tyree Kill is a question mark? I don't know. Is John who active? Probably. Then.
Can you please, can you please say Hall of Famer Johnny Smith when you say his name? No, I refuse. He's married to Rothman so much worse, number one in points scored. They're playing against bad defenses. For what, five weeks? They're doing what they're supposed to do. Whatever. I just wanted to argue about Johnny Moore because it's too entertaining. Rock Bowers 4 for 38 to disrupt your parley partay. Well, unfortunately, that was partially that Gardner. injury at the end of the game. In Janu. But 10 targets, only caught four of them. Kate Otten, one for 30. This one was concerning to me. Yeah, it's a bummer. This performance made me exceptionally happy I signed Hazelm Hill. Because if the return of Mike Evans means Kate Otten is more hit and miss, I hope that's not what it means. Are you afraid of that? Yeah, I think you are a little bit afraid of that.
Three targets, one catch 30 yards. Yeah, I mean. Last two times he's played 35 yards and 30 after the three game breakout. So I think I'm scared. I will still continue starting him. I need to see multiple games in a row where, you know, if what's multiple? Two. I mean, multiple means more than one. Well, I just meant like you were going to say bad games. Yeah. Okay. So you don't consider the last game bad? No, I don't think so. Just this one. I mean, in terms of routes, he still led the team. Let me just ask you a quick question. Pulling names out of a hat here, totally random. Kate Otten or Johnny Smith? Moving forward. Kate Otton. What a liar. What a liar. You're a bad. The trade deadlines over, Jason. A bad analyst. A bad analyst. I don't like Johnny Smith. I don't.
Sometimes there's, there's prints. Is it, is it because somewhere in there, you're thinking back to last year where it was like we, the fantasy community wanted to be Kyle Pitts and yet John who was the guy who kept doing stuff and we were really, really mad at Arthur Smith for it. And maybe it's, maybe there's, maybe John is just a good player. Yeah, maybe John is just a dumb wherever he goes. Maybe. Not wherever. Yeah. That's a bad years. All right. Laporta 3 for 19. What a bust of a season for Sam Laporta. The number one drafted titan. And you know what? He's not a worst player. It's just a complete team that can run the ball whenever they want to. That has a go-to wide receiver that has an explosive wide receiver that can play any way they want to play. They do not need to use them all the time. It's just a luxury.
It is. It's crazy. He had six targets this week. It just didn't turn into anything. And they, like last year, they didn't have a consistent number two receiver and not counting the running backs. But like, and this year, Jameson Williams has not been like the greatest thing or anything, but he has to, he's earning targets on a weekly basis. What was Jameson's line this week? Seven targets, five for 64. So he was their leading receiver? He might have been. Alman Ra was pretty worthless. The last three weeks since Jameson Williams has come back. He's had five targets, six targets, seven targets. He's definitely in. If these trends continue. Any parting words, gentlemen, before we move on to, well, tomorrow we'll have waivers and streaming quarterbacks. Then we'll get into the Megalodon. Oh, man.
