Jonathan Taylor to compliment my puka at number three. Mike, you are back on the clock with pick seven on a fantasy draft redo. So I'm able to continue following my personal list. And despite the accusations from a head coach of punishment, possible punishment for fumbling, you're really going to reduce the workload for James Cook? No way. You're Joseph. No. Joseph. No, you're not.

133 passagesCome on. I know you. You know that I know you. Get out of here. James Cook. James Cook at seven to Mike. Yeah, which I have, I have cook above Taylor. I totally get the rationale. If you want Johnny Taylor, that is fine. But James Cook is just he will be him and Josh Allen. What's wild here is that through seven picks. There's really just one name that wasn't in the original six or seven names.
And that's Kenneth Walker. Like Kenneth Walker was a few clicks down, probably, you know, anywhere from 8 to 15 in drafts. But these other names, Gibbs, Walker, Puka, Bejohn, JSN, Taylor, Cook. That's, you know. Count our blessings here. First round has been okay. It's worked pretty well because people haven't been injured and the first round is they're all awesome. I'm back up on the clock here. You've got great options at all positions. I think right now there's still two.
wide receivers that are ahead of the bunch. The question is Jamar Chase or Amin Ra to me. Love both of them. I still think that the highest upside. And honestly, every single week, this dude is just making an unbelievable catch-of-the-year style reception. I'm going to stick with Jamar Chase.
and the Bengals' offense. I know the Bengals' defense has gotten better. Their offense has gotten off to a slightly slower start than we hope. They're off to a Bengals start. But that's exactly right. They're off to the Bengals start. They are an offensive second half team. You know, when they went nuclear a couple years ago, it was really, they still were off to a slow start that year. So Jamar Chase is the pick? Yes.
That sucks. I kind of, I was hoping maybe somehow, some way Jamar Chase would end up in my hands there. I think, I think this is where it would be more interesting to have this discussion. I'm not settled on this pick. I think Alman Ra is into consideration. I think Derek Henry, who's normally a strong finisher, who's right now, the RB4 is in consideration. But I want to have, I'm just going to speak openly about it. You need to. There's two, actually.
I know exactly. Can I say who you're going to say? Yes. You're going to ask where do Brock Bowers and Josh Allen belong? Yes, I am. Because it is a fully legitimate question. I know that there is, you know, it's a onesie position. You lose depth. There is downside to taking those onesies over great players. But there are not other Bowers and Josh Allen's out there. Josh Allen, I would personally lean to the Brock Bowers over Josh Allen's side simply because.
replacing a tight end late is very difficult to do with being able to actually get a lot of points. You're kind of just hoping for a touchdown at seven or eight points when you're actually in your matchup. Whereas replacing a quarterback by no means can you replace a Josh Allen level quarterback, but I can wield my way even off of a waiver wire to a 20, 23 point game. Just for context, Alan is five points ahead of the next closest quarterback right now.
In points per game. And Brock, who's just been back for a couple of weeks, is averaging 19.7 points per game and has looked ridiculous. It's basically six points ahead of the tight end two. This was, I felt stupid to start the year when he got injured and all of that. But this was preseason. I thought Brock Bowers is one of the only guys that is truly a game breaker, like break the system, an all-time level of time. Are you worried about what I'm worried about, though? Mendoza is. At the end of season, playoffs, Mendoza taking over and then being in a position where.
pure passing volume is not going to be where it is right now? So Mendoza is, I think, a worthy worry because it should probably happen. I know that the Raiders have had a great start to the season, but at some point, if they lose a bunch of games in a row, they very well might turn to Mendoza this year, and that would be near the fantasy playoffs. But Mendoza's not a bad quarterback, and Brock Bowers is too good. He's going to be schemed as the number one. I'm not that worried. He's played with.
He's played with a bunch of crappy quarterbacks and been awesome and been, you know, tied into one on a per game basis. So I think he's worthy of being picked very soon. Yeah, I don't. I wouldn't like go over Amman Ra who's just an automatic. Yeah, I was going to say after all that discussion, I'm going to take Amman Ra St. Brown at number nine. The offense for the lions, the best they've ever been through five weeks in history. So I will take Amman Raw. You know, but I think that I think that those other guys are going to be drafted very soon.
And that wasn't necessarily the case in the first, early second before the season began. But, you know, Josh Allen has just been ridiculous, just ran for 120 yards or whatever it was. So, Mike, you're back on the clock. So I just want my contribution when you guys are talking about the tight end position and why it's not Bowers for me right here. Do you guys, so last year, or yeah, so last year 2025, 126 receptions for Trey McBride.
All time. That's the all time record. You understand what the pace is right now for Tray McBride. I don't. 143 receptions and 10 touchdowns. The yardage is not the same. No, the yardage is sucked. The yardage is a couple hundred or like 150 yards lower. But the point is, Tray McBride, if you're talking PBR points, we're juicing. I was never in the camp that McBride can't do what he did last year, even though I know the passing.
Which is the all-time record. Well, now their number one wide receiver's gone. No more Marv competition. Yeah, that's a good point, Mike. You are on the clock. I'm going to give you an extra second to think about it. We'll take a break and you can come back with Pick 10. And we're back. I'm still on the clock here for our rest of season. I mean, it's kind of rest of season, but it is a fantasy draft redo. We're doing the first two rounds. And boy, oh boy.
I think the running back decision here is, is tough because Kyron is looking great. His utilization, especially in the receiving game, we're feeling excellent about that. But the Ravens offense, like, we haven't fully seen the, like, we don't have five games of Lamar Jackson playing the entirety of. Or Zay Flowers being healthy. That's what I'm like, we haven't.
We got a glimpse. The Megasord has not completed. Right now, like the pieces are on their own. Is Mark Gander's a piece of the Megasord? Oh, like the feet. The toe. The toe. Yeah. The pinky toe is the middle toe. He's not, because you need your pinky and you need your big toe. The middle toe, I'm not sure how important that is. I'm, I'm picking Henry. I don't blame you. I'm going Derek Henry here because he does, he just, he only gets better and.
I'm very, very excited. I'm very bullish on what's going on with the Ravens. With Jacoby Lane coming back, I do think it's a pretty big deal. Well, and really, it's the three-pack. I mean, it's when Zay Flowers is healthy, and Lamar Jackson is healthy, and Derek Henry, who's always healthy? We were playing rock paper, scissors. Who are you going to do? I mean, we saw it, right? To start season, week one, Derek Henry was the number one running back. He was out 24 carries, 144 yards, and three touchdowns.
Granted, it was the Colts. But, yeah, I don't blame you taking Derek Henry there because I do think, and he only gets stronger as the season goes on, as the weather gets colder. Dude, and you know, like, it's not a lot, but we finally have an offensive coordinator who's like, every now and then. I wonder what would happen if we threw a screen pass to the locomotive. Yeah. And let's just find out what happens. He has caught eight of his nine targets. Like I said, it's not a lot.
however eight receptions he was at 15 for in 17 games last year so like we're we're gonna surpass that we've always said every now and then every now and then one of those receptions turns into like a 60 yard touchdown so that that that little extra like 10% of the time a little a little seasoning on the top of what henry's going to do on the ground yeah i'm pretty excited i like that i i think that's absolutely worthy pick there i mean he's he's he's
right behind Bijon in points per game right now. And that's including, you know, a game missed with, you know, with injury with Lamar. For me, this is the spot. I would, I would consider C.D. Lamb here. Obviously, I love Kyron. He is every bit worthy of this pick. But I do genuinely think that Brock Bowers is such a gap in a difference that you cannot replicate somewhere else. Even the, even the,
crazy pace you're talking about um you know with with trade mcbride in a full pprr league mcbride is averaging 18.2 fantasy points which is outrageously high for a for a tight end 23.7 you're talking five points more than second than on than an all time yeah bowers three games if you if you map the mountly way mike did he's at 136 receptions
He's at 1,168 yards. 1700 yards. That's significantly higher than. He is a different level NFL player. Well, they just, what you want to see from a tight end that's going to be special and different is downfield targets like a wide receiver all the time. And he's lining up.
in line and in the slot and running down the field and getting open and, you know, 20 yards down the field. It's not just turnarounds and screens and stuff like that. He is their primary. He's a wide receiver one. He's the wide receiver one. Now, I would have taken Allen over him. So this works out for me. I'm taking Josh Allen. Last point of that is I would say the quarterback change for the Cardinals will happen. We don't know when they're going to remove head from derrier and just be like, we got to.
We got to find out what's going on for next year. But it will. It will happen. Mendoza? Probably. It probably happens. I'm far less concerned about Bowers, even though he's a rookie. Bowers just gets it done with everybody. Trey McBride has had other quarterbacks, and it was good, but it was not what Jacoby has done. It's different now, though. I mean, the Cardinals' wide receiver room has changed over the years, and I think both guys are not.
Like, I wouldn't run from them with Beck and Mendoza coming in at some point. But I agree that Bowers, I have on a different tier. Yeah, they're going to be. I mean, I think Bowers, I mean, Trey McBride is amazing. This is not an anti-Trey McBride take, but I think that Bowers is as a tight end, as an athlete, he is just, he is better than Trey McBride. And that's how I feel about Mendoza's just.
a better quarterback than Carson Beck, obviously, the number one overall pick versus a third rounder. I'm taking Josh Allen. Right now, Josh Allen, if you want to hear the pace, it's kind of comedic. But it's five games. I mean, it's 4,200 passing yards. That's amazing. 24 passing touchdowns. That's great for a mobile quarterback. It's 812 rushing yards. Okay. It's 27 rushing touchdowns. No, it's not. It is. No, it's not. So that doesn't make sense, but yeah, that's like on pace for basically, what is that? That's,
50 touchdowns. He is having another special season for fantasy purposes. And his rushing touchdowns in five games. Two, two, two, two, one, one. He doesn't even have DJ Moore right now, guys. Like, DJ Moore will help. He, he's, he's a very, very good player who showed out before he got banged up. Keon Coleman seems competent at this point. And,
Joe Brady taking over the offense. Again, it's a lot like Declan Doyle in Baltimore. There's a level of kind of, I know Joe Brady was offensive coordinator. Yeah, it's different, though, when you get to be the head honcho. Yeah, philosophically, they're leaning into their strengths more. I watched this highlight. Did you see, if you watch the final drive of the Bills game where they did drive down and kick the field goal, Josh Allen just straight up changed plays.
to where no one else knew on their own team. Like he made a decision on a run. James Cook was supposed to go off right tackle. You can see Alan at the line of scrimmage realize when he motions the guy over, the left side is completely open. He pulls the ball in. Nobody else on the team knows this is happening and chooses to run up the left sideline by himself. He called his own number like four times on that drive, ran for like 60 yards on the drive, won the game. And it's just, I mean, he had 10 carries for 121 in that game.
Josh Allen keeps popping up on this show. Yeah. Like I still firmly believe in the strategy of you don't want to use your draft capital on quarterbacks because when you do that, you're betting on magic. You're betting on absolute magical season. And Josh Allen is just the pixie dust never wears off apparently. It's crazy. Because we keep showing up in our fantasy, in our draft redos. I feel like Josh Allen.
