You know, I'm finding myself pivoting to wide receiver earlier and earlier. This is where I hope I am further in the first round. You know, I would prefer to have the 10th pick where all those running backs that I'm considering at the 5th or 6th are still there. All right. After Adams, which I did select on our behalf, Jason. David Johnson, James Connor, Michael Thomas, Lev Bell, Nick Chubb in the first round, Julio Jones at 112. Coming back.

Juju, Tyreek, Beckham, Gurley, Evans, Cook, we're on the clock. When you look at the running backs, there's really one guy to consider for me, and that's Joe Mixon. You also have Damian Williams, Kerry on Johnson, Leonard Fernette, Melvin Gordon, but the last remaining guy of a tier that I believe in is Joe Mixon, led the AFC in rushing last season, looks explosive in the preseason. Damian Williams, if we're trying to read anything into the preseason, he saw all five snaps of the first drive for the Chiefs, and then they put him on ice, which I'm reading as he's still locked in as the number one guy, because they left Carlos Hyde out there for a while. If I'm going running back, I'm going to take Damien, but do you want to pay up?

for Travis Kelsey, who should have, he's our number one tight end, should be in line for another fantastic season. Jason Howard. We haven't taken, we've never taken Kelsey in our mocks. We've never taken a tight end in our mocks. So that would be something you could think about. I don't believe in Damien Williams. Yep. So we have a very different opinion here. We're not going to agree on that. I think Damien Williams is far too risky to be our one.

Yeah, to me it's between Kelsey and Mixen. Mixen would be the running back of choice here. I've moved him down a little bit from the elite of the elite because of the offensive line worries. But like you just said, I mean, he's in the same group with a lot of these other guys. David Johnson, who we considered taking last round, who's going to have a better year? I mean, maybe DJ, but it's super close.

So I would be fine taking Joe Mixin if you want to lock up the running back. Where do you have Freeman ranked right now, Devanta Freeman running back for the Atlanta Falcons? I have Freeman as my running back 17. Okay. Where do you have him, Mike? I have him 10, and I have Joe Mixen at 13, where I say I'd rather play the ADP game and see if. I have them 12 and 13. I mean, he, he's the guy to me that is my highest rank running back currently on the board. I have him one spot ahead of Devonta Freeman. I've got him as my running back 16. So while it's much higher than we've seen Chris Carson go over the, you know, the off season.

Look, he's on a offense that wants to run the ball, and he is going to be the man. They're talking about getting him more and more involved in the passing game. We've seen it in camp. We've seen it in preseason. We've heard it. Right. We've heard it from sources close to the team. They've talked about how great his hands are. So let's see if they actually utilize him. If this were my team, I would be going with a running back because I'm going to play the game of.

One of these wide receivers could come back. We're talking Keenan. I guess I'm still confident in taking him. Diggs, Edelman, Brandon Cooks, Robert Woods, those five guys. I believe that one of them will come back. This could bite us in the butt because we're right in the middle of the round. But when we look at the running back position, one, the tiers are getting a little bit more nebulous here in the third round. It would be between.

Man, Jacobs and Chris Carson here. You don't get him if you don't take him. Well, sure, but I'm just trying to bring to light some of the names you're going to be choosing from next round. I mean, if you don't get him here, you're probably having to look at, does Derek Henry make it back around? Probably not. Is Mark Ingram your RB2 on a mixing lead running back court? You could get Sony. You might be able to get Sony. Sony or Coleman. Right. I mean, Coleman is still going a little bit later in drafts, and I love Kevin Coleman as an RB2.

I'd be happy taking Carson, and then if those two guys that we love come back around, taking them as well. All right, we'll take Carson. All right, Carson, off the board, Marlon Mack, Melvin Gordon, Josh Jacobs, Keenan Allen goes next. David Montgomery. I think Brooks, you pointed out, David Montgomery has passed Josh Jacobs in average draft position this past weekend. Yeah, third round. That is wild, man. I think it's fine. I mean, it doesn't bother you? No, I just think it's wild. Just that it happened. Here's the thing. David Montgomery is getting love. I mean, he's gotten a ton of love on this show. A lot of our friends in the fantasy industry are giving David Montgomery love. Josh Jacobs was still a first round pick. And not just, we're not just talking a Rashad Penny where Penny was a first round pick. But there was some other guys on the team that they liked. Josh Jacobs is the guy.

for Oakland. I mean, his role is far more secured to me where, as in we're just talking risk. Another article came out today talking, it seems the whispers from the bushes are confirming what we kind of thought that they really hope that Dave of Montgomery becomes a three-down guy. But Josh Jacobs was brought in to be that player. So it's just wild to me that they're going right next to each other. Do you think that has to do with confidence in the organization?

It certainly could. It's the publicity and the news on the Raiders has not been positive. Yeah, you'd take the Bears' offense over the Raiders' offense. I think that's the reason you're seeing the flip. But I do completely understand the more secured works appears to be Josh Jacobs because of Tariq Cohen. All right. Fourth round, Ertz and Kittle go before us. Henry and Michelle before us.

Cooper and Edelman as well. So we're sitting here. You've got your choice of Brandon Cooks and Robert Woods from the Los Angeles wide receiver core. Godwin, Lockett, A.J. Green in the fourth round. If you feel like waiting a few weeks, you've got Tevin Coleman still on the board. You mentioned it, Mike. I think, you know, Coleman is somebody that is being undervalued. Yes. Due to the fact that there are multiple running backs.

in San Francisco and probably because people expected more when they actually did play him last year. Miles Sanders is still there. I would love, I think the play here is to go wide receiver and then see if somebody like Miles Sanders comes back in the next round. Yeah, our running backs are already pretty solid here between Mix and Chris Carson. It's a great starting court. Where are you at, Jay?

Yeah, so I look, there's a couple of players that I like. Obviously, Robert Woods, this is where I would be taking him. I would take Woods. He's a top tier wide receiver for me. But I also love Tyler Lockett, and maybe he could get back to me next round. That would be a little dicey. You have Lockett anywhere, you have him close to where you have Robert Woods. I have Lockett as my wide receiver 17.

So Robert Woods is higher, but I think Lockett is freshly unrolled Tyler Lockett poster above his bed. Yeah, no. And then at running back, you know, we, that's where, okay, do you go to the ceiling, maybe above his bed on the ceiling? To me, if I, if, you know, if this pick was mine, I would take my guy, Robert Woods. I would be fine, taking the gamble, taking Kevin Coleman and hoping Lockett gets back. Over Woods here?

So you're saying you would prefer, or you're interested in going Coleman here, pat up the three running backs. Let me put it. Hope Lockett gets back and just forfeiting Robert Woods. No, I'm saying if it was solely my pick, I would take Woods, but I'm fine going Coleman and taking the gamble that Lockett gets back. Robert Woods and Miles Sanders or Tevin Coleman and Tyler Lockett. I mean, to me that's a no-brainer. I'd rather have the Woods Sanders side. Yes. Yeah. Before I clicked a button for Robert Woods, which I'm happy to do.

What do you make of another season for Brandon Cook's in the same offense? I mean, we joke about the fact that he's never had the opportunity to do this very often. He's been traded, but yet puts up 1,000 plus yards. A lot of credit is given Robert Woods, duly so, that he had a chance to come in and learn the McVeigh system and then contribute in a bigger way. What about Brandon Cook? Is there a ceiling for Brandon Cooks that we're not aware of? Yeah, I mean, the ceiling between these two players, Brandon Cooks is higher.

I think most people would say that, and I think all three of us would say the ceiling is higher for Brandon Cooks. It's a matter of consistency for me. That's what I love about Robert Woods. I feel like he is the number one read in the offense, and so he'll end up as the number one target. He'll be more consistent on a week-to-week basis. I like both guys. If Woods was gone, I would take Brandon Cooks. I'd be happy to have him here. But, yeah, I just like the consistency of Bob Woods.

If you look at our roster, which is Devante Adams, Joe Mix and Chris Carson, Robert Woods, it's hard to argue that there isn't a volume guarantee in production here, right? I mean, like Adams. Volume. I mean, Mixing and Carson. Volume. They could lead each of their conferences in carries. It's possible. And then Woods is very consistent. So I like the foundation, the consistency.

The upside that's built into our team, if you have to break down upside, downside, the upside that I see is somebody like Carson developing as a pass catcher being more valuable than that mid third round pick. Downside would be, you know, the offense in Cincinnati, mix and sharing more third downwork with Joe Bernard than we would want. But ultimately, I think there's a lot of guaranteed production on this roster.

Godwin, Ingram, Cooks, Gulladay, Lindsay finishing the fourth round. Lockett, Mike Williams, Cooper Cup, O.J. Howard, Tyler Boyd, and then we're on the clock at the 506. The past two rounds have been delightful for our strategy where once we took Chris Carson, there was a mini running back run, and then we took Woods, and then it turned into a wide receiver run. So the running back targets that we were looking at.
