in terms of yards, total catches. I mean, he's pretty much done the same thing, three consecutive years. Demarius is exactly what you look for. You look for guys whose opinions for no reason are going down on. I mean, you know, everybody is kind of just, I don't know, lowering him in a mental state, and there's no reason. It's because of the coaching change. And the trail off of Peyton? The end of the year. Yeah. Which is, which, you know, I'm.

I think Peyton is going to be 100% fine. I think it was his legs problem at the end of the year. And it was reported yesterday that he's committed to 2015 pretty much. That's not official, but all news is. He's working out. He's in New Orleans. He's doing workouts. And so if he's back, why wouldn't Demarius be the same guy he's been? I mean, I've owned Demarius in leagues for a couple years. He drives you crazy with a few drops here and there, but he's 100 plus catches, 1,500 plus yards, 10 plus touchdowns.

So this is what I think happened, or why the opinion's going down. We talked about the end of the year. And a big thing for really anything in life, how do you start? How do you finish? And he started really slow. Week 1, 48 yards, no touchdowns. Week 2, 62 in a touchdown. So that's a good fantasy day, but not what you're expecting from Demarius. Week 3, 31 yards. Week 4, his bye week week.

So for the first quarter of the year, you're not getting the kind of output that you expect from a guy like to Marys Thomas, and that's going to start to build the foundation of your memory and your doubt for the 2014 season. And you combine that with how things ended with... Emmanuel Sanders, too. Sanders blew up. I mean... And all of that considered everything factored in.

We were just talking about Des Bryant. And Des Bryant finished with 16 touchdowns behind the Marius Thomas in standard scoring. The Marius Thomas finished the year ahead of that. And so I guess the question needs to be asked, would you draft, assuming that he stays in Denver, which I think is about as solid a prediction as Des staying in Dallas. Who do you draft Des or Demarius? I would still lean Des, actually.

I agree. I think if I had the same pick, I would pick Des over him. However, if you're in a snake redraft league, it would almost be a better position to have Des fall to you and get Des and be closer, say, in the second round to a better running back or to be able to get him. You think there's any chance you can get him in the second? Either of those guys? Probably not. The Des, yeah, it'll be really interesting to see who goes.

what wide receivers go in the first round. I mean, usually it's two. It's because historically for the last few years it's been Calvin Johnson. And then somebody else has snuck in. Demarius towards the end or... But I mean, this year, like, what do you do with Antonio Brown in that first round? How far back does that bump Demarius and Des? I would think one of those guys will go at the tail. It's going to be Brown and...

Calvin. No, Calvin's going to, I'm going to tell you this right now. Calvin's going to go ahead of Brown in a lot of leagues. Oh, for sure. Because. Name. Yeah, because of, you know, consistency, reputation, name, like you said. And size. You kind of see that happen. Two years ago, Antonio Brown, all the potential in the world, but you look at him and you don't, what do we say does was? A size speed or a size and physical freak. And you don't see that Antonio Brown.

And yet he's more the Antonio, I'm sorry, the Jerry Rice mold, right? Yeah, route runner, hard worker, go-to guy. But we are addicted to the Calvin Johnsons of the size world with AJ Green, Julio Jones, Demarius Thomas. Here's something that's crazy is that, you know, in standard scoring, standard scoring obviously touchdowns for a receiver are going to be a huge.

uh, boon. You're not looking for a volume guy as much as a guy that's got the red zone ability. And so you'd think that, you'd think that Antonio Brown would be down for that. And it's standard scoring. He finished first. Well, but what you said before, too, about touchdowns. They're hard to predict. Two years ago or three years ago, Jordan Nelson had a 15 touchdown year. He comes back the next year where they think four or five. I think that was the hamstring year, though. Right.

But, okay, so James Jones. You saw 16 touchdowns for James Jones three years ago. He had like four the next year or something like that. So it's just a hard thing to predict. And Brown historically had not been a touchdown machine like it was this year with 13. And he might not be next year. A passing touchdown as well. Yeah, he might not be next year. You have, you know, Wheaton.

You have other red zone options in Martavis Bryant. The standard scoring, Andy, who do you take? Calvin or Antonio Brown? I take Calvin Johnson. Me too. In standard, I probably do. If you're getting any kind of catch points, though, you're taking Antonio Brown because his floor is so high because of the catches. Yep. Yep. So, uh...

I guess we said, we mentioned he's a free agent, but all indications are Demarius Thomas is the top priority for Denver. Yeah, he's staying in Denver. So we can get to our first actual free agent now on our free agent show. All the chips are going to fall based on this guy, I think. Randall Cobb? Randall Cobb. Randall Cobb. So big year last year, 91 receptions, 1,287 yards.

And 12 touchdowns. The year that a lot of us were waiting for. I mean, we saw the talent. He had injuries in the past, but they weren't soft tissue injuries. They were real injuries. Are those the right numbers? Are those the right numbers for Cobb? 106 for 1465. Randall Cobb, yards, 1287, 12 touchdowns. 12 touchdowns? 12 receiving touchdowns. So neither of a set of right. 91 for 1287 and 12.

What did we have written down? No, you got it right. 91 for 1287 and 12. Yeah, splitting hairs here. Huge year. Very fun player to own. Gets a few rushes every game. Versatile, not what you consider a standard goal line threat, but he puts up big numbers because of Aaron Rogers.

He put on some weight. I think that was good for his injury habit and also for breaking after the catch. But the real question now is where he goes, because he is a very valuable piece in Green Bay. He is going to be able to get paid more leaving Green Bay because he made a name for himself. And I feel like Randall Cobb...

I've got a love affair with Randall Cobb, so I'm desperately, desperately hoping he stays. But I feel like he's going to go, and I think he's going to be this year's Eric Decker. Because you know who's got the cap space? The Raiders, the Browns, the Jacksonville Jaguars. And when he goes to those teams, avoid him. Do not draft him on your team because you're going to have to spend a high pick. There's going to be, oh, now he's the number one guy. He's super talented. They paid him big money. They're going to be getting him the ball.

No, no, no. It's not a they. We always want, like, they're going to do it. No, no, no. Derek Carr will be the one doing it, or whoever is in Cleveland. Zach Mettenberger. I was going to say, you know what? Marcus Marietta. If he went to Jacksonville, I mean, depending on the cost, I might actually invest in that. Yeah? Yeah, I think Randall Cobb mixed with...

Drinking that Kool-Aid. No, no, no. Randall Kopp mixed with Garbage Time Bortles is going to equal fantasy production. It's a lot of garbage time in Jacksonville. Not wide receiver 1. He's not going to Jacksonville. No, he's. Well, we're just, we're speaking in hypothetical. I get what you're saying. Where's the garbage time for Eric Decker? They were down every game. I think Bortles is a better. Anybody is a better. I think any sentence that begins with, I am counting on Blake Bortles to give me fantasy production is, uh,

Steeped in failure. The hitman might be a Bortle's believer. The fantasy hitman is the same guy who was Alan Robinson proclaiming all year long. And Alan Robinson was a fantastic option until he got hurt. He was not a fantastic option. He was an option. Since this show has become about the Jacksonville Jaguars, I think we need to remind people, Andy, your water bat before the year on that team. Yeah, this is why you're so mad. Yeah, this is why you hate Blake Bortles. You mad, bro?

What was your thought on Jacksonville before the year? So rumors say that Randall Cobb may end up in Chicago as well. Oh, okay, okay. All right, yeah, I'll speak to that. The listeners want to hear. I like Gus Bradley, and I hoped that Jacksonville would be better. So I think I bet that they'd be a 500 team. I didn't go out on a limb and say they make the playoffs. They obviously weren't a 500 team in that team, which only goes to speak that Blake Bortles is not the answer for Randall Cobb.

I think Randolphoble leaves. Does anybody, I mean, what's the thought? I think Devante Adams showing what he did last year puts, and the Packers history, whether it's James Jones. If he wants to get paid, he's leaving. Here's the thing, they've got the money to pay him. And if he's smart, he stays because he stays.

earning potential. Yeah, he keeps his earning potential higher. Probably make more money in the long run staying. So I hope he stays. If he leaves, I think he's clearly going for money. You're not leaving for any other reason than money. So if he's leaving for money, let me tell you the top five teams with money, and you tell me what they all have in common. Here they are. Jacksonville Jaguars. A fantastic quarterback. Awesome. The Oakland Raiders.

Another rookie, you know, going into his second year quarterback in a terrible franchise. For the record, I like Derek Carr, Morton, Blake Bortals, but go on. That's fair. The Cleveland Browns. They don't even have a quarterback. Yeah, they have zero point five. Worst offseason I've seen in a long time. Worst franchise, I just, I feel bad. I know there's a lot of Cleveland fans out there. The best fan base. LeBron might be the quarterback next year. It would be, I would buy.

The Cleveland Brown stock if he was the quarterback. I thought you met the Cleveland Browns. You just buy the Cleveland Brown. I'd be $5. The New York Jets are fourth and the Tennessee Titans are fifth. So if he's leaving for money, he's probably ending up on one of those five terrible teams with a bad. And he's a ducker or a James Jones. So of the five, of the five terribleness, where would you prefer him to go? I can tell you right now. I know my. Tennessee. Absolutely.

100% Tennessee because they're going to draft a quarterback. Oh, you think they are? I think they'll draft a quarterback, and I think then the unknown of the quarterback position at least exists. But even in that situation, a Randall Cobb is going to perform like Teddy Bridgewater's best option or something. You know, it's like I just don't want that from my wide receiver one, which is where he'll be drafted because of the... No, he won't be drafted. Or wide receiver two.

Yeah, I would think he'd be drafted as a two. I would actually, I would like him in Tennessee. Now, everything I've said, it sounds like I'm a huge Bortles fan. That's not true. I just like fantasy garbage time. I do have a little glimmer of hope in my heart for the Metenberger, Big Mac Metenberger. And I can't, he's got... So he's...

Cobb was seventh, by the way, in standard scoring, so you don't think he gets drafted as wide receiver one? If he goes to another team, no. Oh, okay. Well, it depends. On the height. Yeah, exactly. I think in most leagues, there will be a guy who takes him in the first. Not in the first round. It takes them as a wide receiver one, takes them as their first wide receiver. And the good news is, if he leaves to one of those teams, it won't be a listener of this show that does that.

be thankful for that. I think that the biggest thing that personally, I would see him going to Jacksonville as the best option just because wide receivers in Jacksonville last year put up a lot of points. They just couldn't stay healthy and they got hurt. I still don't draft him as a number one anywhere he goes. I don't draft him as a wide receiver one, but I do flip over backwards for Devante Adams if he leaves. I think Devante Adams,

becomes Randall Cobb, and I would take him higher than he's going to go because I believe that he will put up Randall Cobb type numbers and be a top 10. I think he would be able to put up wide receiver number one numbers, and you're going to get him later. You're going to get him as a wide receiver three. I think if Cobb leaves the general public will be all over, Devante Adams. I think he'll shoot up to probably even fourth round pick, and I don't think I would.
