Jason wins the week and still finds a complaint

Jason's Mark Andrews and David Montgomery beat Jahmyr Gibbs, and he posts the League of Record's highest score even with CeeDee Lamb recording a zero. He nevertheless argues that Andrews was not actually good, declares himself unsatisfiable, and answers 'Never' when told to grow up.

moment

Russell Wilson gets the wrong Unlimited first

Wilson's fourth-down failure summons the clean 'Unlimited' cue. The desk immediately rejects it as the wrong one, then fires 'Unlimited diarrhea. Unlimited' and asks whether Wilson has played his way out of the Hall of Fame.

moment

Sports cards become a player stock market

A host says he began collecting sports cards with his son and explains the hobby as a stock market for players. Russell Wilson's Super Bowl cards once belonged in a vault, but his late-career decline turns them into a sell, while the market is already trying to exit C.J. Stroud.

moment

Both hosts traded out of Camp Scadaboo

Two hosts realize they recently traded Cam Skattebo to one another and both moved out of 'Camp Scadaboo' just before his breakout. The desk then lists his team lead in carries, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, targets, receptions, and receiving yards.

moment

Mac Jones rips it and gets sent back to backup

The hosts verify that Jones sincerely minimized a defender's catch, mock him for putting the ball on the player's neck, and quote his self-credit—'but I did rip it.' The response is blunt: he sucks and should go back to being the backup.

moment

Jackson Dart activates breaking-news party mode

The quarterback change arrives live. The desk demands lights, explicitly assigns Mike to break the news, announces Dart as the Giants starter, and declares Wilson's Unlimited Diarrhea flushed. Video visibly inserts a three-host BREAKING NEWS graphic and then cycles the studio through multiple party-light colors.

moment

Bye weeks are the British offshore

The hosts defend saying bye weeks are 'coming' because they are not here yet, compare the distinction to the British are coming, place the byes offshore, demand lanterns, and congratulate themselves on a perfect Revolutionary War parallel.

moment

Deucers Alley follows Final Destination order

In a 17-team chopped league, direct video shows two of three visible Deucers raise their hands as already eliminated. The desk identifies Baby Jake as first, Falcon second, Papa Josh third, and Owl as the survivor; Owl says he is not going anywhere. Josh and Falcon each died with all 1,000 FAAB, so they are said to take it with them.

moment

The podcast needs Thornton find-and-replace

Andy promotes Trey Tucker while repeatedly calling him Tyquan Thornton, discovers the mistake, calls the podcast horrible, and requests global find-and-replace. A related Tory Horton slip follows, after which Dante Thornton, Tyquan Thornton, Trey Tucker, and Troy Franklin become so entangled that the hosts no longer know whom they mean.

moment

The Great Gadsden survives consonant court

Oronde Gadsden is introduced in the transcript as 'A Rondé Gadston' and immediately called the Great Gadston. The hosts spell G-A-D-S-D-E-N, debate whether a D became a T, try Gadston and Gadsby, and finally leave pronunciation authority with one host.

moment

Starts of the Week leaks two days early

A host identifies Matthew Golden as his Start of the Week during Tuesday waivers. The others react that it is not Thursday, tell him to turn the reveal down, and salvage the recommendation as a 'drop it like it's hot' waiver note.

summary

Episode notes

All three regular hosts are named and visibly at the desk, with no missing host or Jay Griz presence. Jason wins his Monday League of Record matchup with Mark Andrews and David Montgomery, scores the most points in the league despite a CeeDee Lamb goose, and still argues that Andrews was not good; the others tell him to grow up. Russell Wilson's decline then misfires the soundboard: a clean 'Unlimited' cue is rejected as the wrong one before 'Unlimited diarrhea. Unlimited' lands, reviving both the Wilson cue and Week 18 Nasty Boys phrase. A host explains sports cards to his son as a player stock market and watches Wilson go from Super Bowl cards placed in the vault to an urgent sell. Two unnamed hosts admit they recently traded away Cam Skattebo to one another just before his breakout, turning his all-category team lead into shared regret. Mac Jones's refusal to credit a defender's catch is replayed as arrogant self-congratulation—'but I did rip it'—and the desk tells him he sucks and should return to backup duty. Andy's prior-day Cardinals camera stare returns when he says he hates the team but still finds Atlanta's passing offense worse. The biggest production payoff arrives live: the Jackson Dart starting announcement makes the hosts demand lights, Mike breaks the news, a dedicated three-host BREAKING NEWS graphic visibly appears, and the studio visibly cycles through colored party lights. Russell Wilson's 'Unlimited Diarrhea' is declared flushed. Bye-week planning becomes Revolutionary War narration: the British are coming because the byes are still offshore, lanterns must go up, and the hosts openly congratulate themselves on the parallel. Deucers Alley then gets a physical chopped-league audit. Direct video shows three producers and two raised hands; the dialogue identifies Baby Jake as first eliminated, the Falcon as second, Papa Josh as third, and Owl as the survivor who says he is not going anywhere. Josh and Falcon each admit dying with all 1,000 FAAB, prompting the claim that they are taking it with them. The sequence is compared to Final Destination. The waiver discussion later collapses into names: Andy spends a Trey Tucker argument saying Tyquan Thornton, requests global find-and-replace, Jason is caught in a related Tory Horton slip, and the hosts lose track among Dante Thornton, Tyquan Thornton, Trey Tucker, and Troy Franklin. Checked video shows ordinary Waiver Wire framing, not a corrective graphic. A premature Matthew Golden Starts of the Week reveal gets a 'turn that down' response, and Oronde Gadsden's name ends in a pronunciation loop plus 'the Great Gadsden.' Routine waiver advice is omitted.

But, yeah, look, I would be trying to move on from Kyle Pitts because I don't think the... Oh, yes! Yeah. Yes! Yeah. Yes! Breaking news. Now, hold on. Hit the lights. This one... No, we need... I need lights for this. Woo! Baby! Go ahead, Mike. You got to break the news. Quarterback change for the New York Giants. Jackson Dart will be starting on Sunday versus the Chargers. New York Giants. Unlimited. Diarrhea is flushed. Giants fans, I'm so happy for you. Oh, my gosh. It's legitimately fun. Oh, I'm so happy for you. It's fun now. Scadaboo, Dart, Neighbors, Carter. Hmm. 0-3.

18:43 ↗

Do you think this is actually good for Malik Neighbors? Yes. I believe so. Longer term. It may not... It might take a couple weeks, honestly. But it was... You were... You were headed to a dark, dark place. I mean, Neighbors... Russ throws it deep, right? Yes. Two of Neighbors' three games have been bad. Exactly. So, is it really better for him? It's better if you start to create a future of consistency. Whether that's intermittent explosions, I would think it's better to have a path towards consistency. Yep. Now, you gotta do it. They also got Andrew Thomas back, who dominated this past week.

19:32 ↗

Yeah, I think it was... You know, was it like both... Jackson Dart can run the football. I thought I saw a stat of both tackles did not allow a QB pressure. Which makes Russell Wilson's... Exactly. ...self-decapitation so terrible. Exactly. I mean, I'm excited. Jackson Dart looked like a dog in preseason. But if you're gonna wear your eye black like that, you better be a dog right away. All right, we'll find out. And we're one step closer to Jameis Winston. Oh, now there! There we get excited. It's a good question, though. There's no chance for Jameis to start, though, unless there was an injury.

20:10 ↗

So, I don't really want to root for that. But it'll be Jackson Dart, isn't it? But the question is, if Dart were to go down to injury, do they go back to Russ? Probably stupidly, yes. Unless Russ, which I recommend, requests his release. If Russ wants to go and request a release, that would be the best for everybody. What team do you want to go to, Russ? None. Just let me rest. No, I didn't say what team wants you. All right, well, we got that news into the news and notes. Sponsored by Progressive Insurance. Quote today at Progressive.com. The waiver wire presented by Walmart. All righty, by the way, by the way, the bye weeks are coming. Week five.

22:16 ↗

Oh, we're not quite there yet, but we're a week away. Bears, Falcons, Packers, Steelers for week five. I would say it's coming because next week you'll say they're here. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This would be the only time in which they are coming. Yes. No, I accept. So make your plans. Something to factor in. They weren't like, hey, the British are here. It's like, no, the British are coming because they're not here yet. Right. Yeah. But you've got to be scared. The bye weeks are offshore. Yes. A little way. Yes. And they're going to make it to shore next week.

22:47 ↗

And we've got to put the lanterns up. Okay. Yeah, this is perfect. Just some Revolutionary War jokes for everyone. Perfect parallel. Let's start with the running back position. The big, huge must add if he's there, but he's not there in every league. Trey Benson, of course. James Conner out for the season with the ankle injury surgery required. If we didn't report that, it's been confirmed. And Trey Benson will be taking over in Arizona. Trey Benson, a very capable young running back who is already looking pretty good to start the year. I mean, in the first week of the season, he was 8.6 a carry.

23:21 ↗

He had a 52-yard run, 4.7 the next week. Last week, 10 opportunities on the ground, 4.2 a carry. Trey Benson reminds me of, not in necessarily play style exactly like of Kenneth Walker, but he's the type where he'll look like he has some bad vision and get stuffed a lot. But if you give him enough opportunities, he can break a long play. He has that explosive athleticism. So he hasn't had a lot of volume because he's been behind James Conner. Going forward, if he is getting a lot of volume every game, it'll be common and frequent for him to have big fantasy outputs,

24:01 ↗

and it'll be a rest-of-the-season lead role. So he's not available in any league I play in. But if he was, you're dropping at least probably 60% of your fab. Yeah, that's the question is how aggressive. Yeah, I'd be at 65 to 80 on Trey Benson. Running backs have been like, for some reason, I don't know if it's just distribution in the leagues that I'm in, I don't know if it's common from the leagues that you guys are in. They're very hard to find right now because you've had letdowns at the top. You've had the Chase Browns of the world that people don't feel comfortable starting.

24:36 ↗

Running backs are hard to come by. They are a premium to me on the fab world. Would you aggressively trade for Trey Benson? I don't know if someone will let him go. I mean, I would rather have Benson than Bill. I mean, I made that offer this morning. It'll get turned down. But the straight-up Krosky versus Benson, I'd rather have Benson. For sure. So other names to mention near the 60% range, Bashaw Tootin's still out there, still scored again. He's a good player. Yeah, he looks good and he's involved. And it seems like, I mean, not that Etienne ended up putting a good game together,

25:14 ↗

but Etienne is also the kind of guy that a coach is willing to give up on. Yeah. Yeah, he is. He's not their guy. This is who I traded for. If he struggled, they would turn the page a little bit. And he only ran for three and a half. So far, if you look at his yards per carry, week one, 8.9. Week two, 5.1. Week three, 3.5. I fully expect like a two-yard per carry game coming. Amari Demarcato will be the secondary and pass-catching option for Arizona. Keep that in mind if you are in a deeper league and you need a spot start.

25:49 ↗

I mean, there's a lot of players I'd probably start Demarcato over with how Arizona has a propensity to not use wide receivers. So, you know, I'd play him over Braylon Allen. I'd play him over Gainwell. I'd play him over Miles Sanders. Like, if you were in that category, Kareem Hunt, that would be close. But if you're full PPR, I'm telling you. Like, Demarcato's had games. Sure. He's had games in the past. So, other running backs that you guys are looking at? I think Ollie Gordon is a very interesting name because he's got the combination of I think he's good, which is rare for most of these names.

26:26 ↗

Like, you know, you could bring up Chris Rodriguez Jr., who got the start ahead of Bill, had involvement, had, you know, double-digit carries. I don't think he's that good. I actually think Ollie Gordon is a good player. He's a rookie running back for the Miami Dolphins. And he was involved early in the game last week. He ended up only playing 25% of the snaps. But early in the game, it seemed like he was a real big part of the game plan. The first drive, he had carries. He had a couple good carries. He had a touchdown. And he's a rookie.

26:58 ↗

So, he's going to get more and more involved. And it does seem like the Dolphins need more weapons. It can't just be A-chan. So, Ollie Gordon is probably one of the guys I'm most interested in. Mike, where are you with the Chris Rodriguez commander situation and the Woody Mark situation where they're 0-3, the Houston offense looks atrocious, but, you know, Nick Chubb is not bringing anything special to the offense. Man, that's a fair, difficult question of Rodriguez will be capped. He looked pretty good, but he will be capped of this. It's going to be three running backs in Washington. You'd rather have Bill than both of the other guys?

27:36 ↗

I would. Yeah, at this point. But that's not saying, like, I'm clamoring for Bill. So, if I need production immediately, I guess Chris Rodriguez could give him 11 carries. He started the game with two drives. We don't know if that's a forever moving forward. Was that a, hey, man, sorry, you've been inactive the last couple weeks. We're going to give you some opportunities. But Woody Marks is like, Woody Marks could be a boat. Like, he's that type of a player. He has juice, and the guy in front of him does not. Where are you with Kareem Hunt and his startability right now?

28:15 ↗

He's only 42% rostered. Everybody rosters Pacheco. Pacheco's unplayable. Kareem Hunt, nobody wants any bit of, but he scored last week. Man, I don't think I want either. If I had to start one of them, I would certainly start Kareem Hunt over Pacheco because passing work and goal line work are there. It just seems like that backfield is so split. It's funny because if you had to start someone this week, you'd probably start Kareem Hunt over a Woody Marks. But Woody Marks is, I think. On the way? He's on the way. Look at what has happened with Nick Chubb. Nick Chubb is playing 50% of the snaps, and then Woody Marks, a rookie,

28:57 ↗

started week one. He was not very involved. He was, you know, Damian Pierce was active back in the day. I remember when. Back in the day. Three weeks ago. Woody Marks went from 11% of snaps up to 27% of snaps. This last week up to 48% of the snaps. While they've said, okay, Damian Pierce, you're not active. We're going to get this player more involved. He had eight opportunities. So I just feel like it's coming, and Chubb doesn't have it. Unfortunately, the offensive line will not be improving. That is the biggest issue. Yeah, that's the biggest issue. By the way, a quick detour here, because people like to know what's going on in our leagues.

29:34 ↗

We have a 17-team chopped league. Oh, this is a good detour. I just want to look to Deucer's Alley here. Now, there's only three weeks into the season. There's 17 teams. Right. You know, there's a lot of different teams that could get chopped. Raise your hand in Deucer's Alley here if you have been chopped from that league already. Yeah. Oh, there's a hand. Oh, there's a second hand. Ah! So... What's funny is the only other guy I think we've ever had back here in Deucer's Alley, Raiden, I think he sat in a time or two. Yeah, Baby Jake. Baby Jake.

30:04 ↗

Also chopped. Was the first chopped. So he was like the lowest of the Deucer's chopped. Then the second lowest of the Deucer's got chopped next in the Falcon. Then the next lowest of the Deucer's got chopped in Papa Josh. Owl. I'm not going anywhere. You gone this week. It's the seeding chart from Final Destination. Right. It's working its way through. And if you're not familiar with a guillotine or a chopped league, lowest score of the week, you're done. And there's 1,000 fab in this league. How much fab did you have when you got cut, Josh? All of it. Nice. And what about you, Falcon?

30:35 ↗

All of it. Oh, okay. Okay. Good work. All right. I had to bring that up because he's not in the league anymore, so we won't bring him up again. They say you can't take it with you, but they are. They are taking it with you when you die. Yeah. Other names to mention, you're looking at more of the kind of like the Trey Benson situation is exactly why we tell you every week on this show to throw Blake Corum on your roster. Yep. You know, Braylon Allen. Miles Sanders. Yeah. And it's true. I mean, I may not like watching Miles Sanders run the football, but if Javante goes down,

31:10 ↗

he's the guy. And the Cowboys just lost another lineman, didn't they? Yes, they did. That's right. That's worth bringing up. The Cowboys offense is going to be struggling. They're in humongous, humongous trouble. They are the most delightful defense for any offense to play against. And frankly, yeah. Yeah. I mean, my worry was the offensive line to begin with to start the season. That was what I thought would get in the way of the Cowboys doing enough. And then they've lost two of them. And CeeDee Lamb now. Like, this is... It's going to be tough sledding. It's turning into a tough season for them.

31:42 ↗

So, would you drop Tyrone Tracy with the injury? If you're moving towards some of these other guys? Yeah, I would probably. These are dropped candidates. Isaiah Pacheco, would you let him go? I probably wouldn't. If he was on waivers, we would be picking him up. We would, but he's like a landmine. He is. He's a landmine. But I don't think people are going to start him right now. He is a stash. And you're down with Dylan Sampson. That was a nice run for a week or two. Oh, yeah. He's... Yeah. See you later. Yeah, I mean... Jerome Ford is the third down running back.

32:12 ↗

He'll be the guy in on the two-minute drill. And otherwise, it's Judkins. Judkins is legit. He looks great. Wide receivers. Let's talk about them. Wide receiver pickups. Wide receiver drop candidates. And, again, you can use the ultimate dashboard to get a customized list of these guys relative to your league and who's available. Jordan Addison is back. Just check your league. Just peak. 81% rostered. Been drafted. But you never know. But let's talk about the big, big signing of the week, I think. And when we started going through waivers at running back, because we each put our rankings together, I actually didn't have Trey Tucker at the top

32:49 ↗

after the big week. I'm like, oh, I'm not going to overreact. And then I moved him to the top this morning. Of overall or just of wide receivers? Okay. That's fine. Of the wide... Because I actually... Like, you need to pay attention to what this offense is doing right now with Geno Smith, with the failures on the offensive line to run the football, with Brock Bowers and the knee injury. I was big on Deontay... On Dante Thornton. He hasn't materialized. And you had a first week where Tyquan Thornton was a top 24 wide receiver. And he's out there... This is the biggest part of it to me.

33:28 ↗

Yes, you had the 8 for 145 and 3. He's out there all the time. He's out there 95, 90% of snaps. So Tyquan Thornton, very explosive. Trey Tucker? Oh, gosh, yes. Oh, man, I was like... Did I say that multiple times? You did. Oh, that's a horrible... This is a horrible podcast. I... Well, I was letting you go because I didn't know where we were heading up. No, you should stop me when I sound that dumb. He did eventually. Hey, stop. Everything I said... Trains can't. I love Michael Keaton. Everything I said, find and replace anytime I said the wrong name

34:00 ↗

with Trey Tucker. The whole point was Trey Tucker is on the field all the time. He doesn't love Taequann Thornton so much. Well, yeah. I mean, he's another name we'll bring up. But I do think Trey Tucker is actually valuable. I think he's important to talk about. Geno Smith can throw the ball deep. And I don't... Like, Brock Bowers has been a disappointment so far. Well, Brock Bowers was awesome and then he hurt his knee and then has been not the same Brock Bowers. So I expect a couple more weeks of kind of mediocrity from Bowers as he works his way

34:28 ↗

back to health and then he'll just be awesome Brock Bowers. Trey Tucker is a fine play. I don't think he is a great player despite his 145 and three touchdowns. But he's fine. Like you said, he's on the field all the time. This is a Raiders team that is probably going to have to throw more than they want. You know, they would love to give the ball to Ashton Gentty and Milk Leeds but they're not going to have them as often as they want. I mean, when I look at the other names, is there somebody that you actually want over Trey Tucker?

34:58 ↗

Yeah, for me, Torrey Horton is a player that I want. Torrey Horton is very talented. He's a rookie coming in for the Seattle Seahawks. This last week in your fantasy leagues he probably didn't get as much value as he brought to the Seahawks because he had the, was it a punt or a kickoff? I can't remember which, I think it was a punt return for a touchdown. But he's looked... He also had a regular touchdown. Yes, yeah, he had two touchdowns in the game, one that scored for you for fantasy, but he has really looked good. He's avoided tacklers. He has played the part

35:34 ↗

and I think he's a better, like, you know, when you talk about potential, what could they become? I don't think Trey Tucker can develop into something really special. By the end of the year, we're going, you know, that guy broke out and he is like a really, really special guy. Thornton still has a lot of room to grow. So it's just a matter of what you need. If I had to start one of them this week, I think the floor is higher. You know, he's doing it. Oh, man. What's going on? You did. Torrey Horton. At least mine. At least mine rhymes.
