Jason's pantsless Hagrid climbs into the 70s

Jason pays tribute to Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid with a fur coat under a trench coat, wigs, and beards. He removes his glasses, cannot see his enlarged laptop, barely turns like a statue, runs a fan below the desk, and says he is not wearing pants. The show's discomfort meter moves from 24 to 28, then 33, 50, and into the 70s as hair invades his face. The desk says the Halloween costumes feel like Wheel of Shame and asks to put Hagrid on the Wheel, although assembly takes roughly half an hour. Mike is explicitly The Dude with a White Russian; direct published frames identify Andy as the third host, whose line names his look Greg Dulcich rather than Weird Al.

Halloween puts Deucer's Alley officially in business

The camera visits a visibly signed Deucer's Alley containing Conan O'Brien in the middle, a literal pickle or pickle baller, and Josh as the jester the hosts always picture. Josh says the jester is his natural look. Later direct evidence identifies Al as the Pickleman, fuses Brooks's Judge identity into Judge Giamatti O'Brien, and confirms Brooks has spent the hour in a latex mask. The close declares the Alley officially in business.

Monday Punday goes trick-or-treating

The show explicitly calls Monday Punday a weekly ritual, asks listeners for Halloween submissions, and reads Raheem Ghostert, Daniel Bones, Tyreek Kill, Rhamonster Stevenson, Scare-ick Carr, Pitts or Treats, Silence of the Lamb, DeHaunted Foreman, Jonathan Taylor Tombstone, DeAndre Happy Halloween, Gus Dreadwards, Davante Adams Family, Jacoby Michael Myers, and Darnell Booney.

moment

Al's eighth Kupp catch creates a wealthy pickle

Al confirms that he bet over 7.5 Cooper Kupp receptions. Kupp already has seven in the first half but does not catch number eight until 1:14 remains in the fourth quarter, on the play tied to his ankle injury. Al had not followed the timing; the desk says he nevertheless walks out as a wealthy pickle, and Al thanks Kupp for getting it done.

moment

Jester Papa Josh's 0.2 win survives every refresh

An unidentified host asks whether the others ever refresh old fantasy scores hoping they changed, then admits repeatedly checking a 0.2-point loss to 'stupid Jester Papa Josh.' The desk is surprised he still revisits it, and the speaker confirms the two-tenths result.

moment

Judge Giamatti O'Brien calls somebody else greedy

Brooks's established Judge Giamatti identity fuses with his Conan costume as Judge Giamatti O'Brien. He calls a host greedy for saying A.J. Brown's three-touchdown game still left plays on the field, and the desk responds that the wealthiest man in existence has just accused someone else of greed.

summary

Episode notes

The Halloween show opens with all three regular hosts in costume. Jason pays homage to Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid by wearing a fur coat under a trench coat with wigs and beards; the mass makes him sweat before recording begins. Mike is explicitly seated as The Dude with a White Russian, while direct published frames identify Andy as the third host and his own line names the long-wigged Broncos look Greg Dulcich rather than Weird Al. Jason removes his glasses for Hagrid accuracy, cannot see his enlarged laptop, barely turns like a statue, runs a fan under the desk, and reveals he is not wearing pants. The show tracks his discomfort from 24 to 28, then 33, 50, and into the 70s as hair reaches his mouth, nose, and eyes. The hosts say all three costumes feel like Wheel of Shame punishments and explicitly ask for Hagrid to be added, although they admit it takes too long to assemble. The Deucer's Alley camera is equally dense. Its visible sign accompanies Conan O'Brien in the middle, a literal pickle or pickle baller, and Josh dressed exactly as the jester the hosts see in their heads. Josh answers that this is his natural look. Later evidence directly calls Al the Pickleman and wealthy pickle, calls Brooks Judge Giamatti O'Brien, and establishes that Brooks has spent the hour in a latex mask. The close says Deucer's Alley is officially in business. Halloween Monday Punday processes the week through Raheem Ghostert, Daniel Bones, Tyreek Kill, Rhamonster Stevenson, Scare-ick Carr, Pitts or Treats, Silence of the Lamb, DeHaunted Foreman, Jonathan Taylor Tombstone, Gus Dreadwards, Davante Adams Family, Jacoby Michael Myers, and Darnell Booney. Producer Al's Cooper Kupp reception bet becomes a costume story: he takes over 7.5, Kupp gets reception eight with 1:14 left while suffering the late ankle injury, and Al nearly leaves as a wealthy pickle. Papa Josh's costume revives another loss when an unidentified host admits he still refreshes the score from a 0.2-point defeat to 'stupid Jester Papa Josh' hoping it will change. Brooks's established fictional wealth also escalates through his Conan composite: addressed as Judge Giamatti O'Brien, he calls a host greedy for wanting more than A.J. Brown's three touchdowns and is answered as the wealthiest man in existence.

It was the Tyree Hill and Jalen Wattle show. Missed some time, too. He'd missed a couple drives with injury. Yeah, that certainly did not help his cause. But obviously, you know, he was a massive bust this week based on the matchup and what you've seen from him the last few weeks. I'm still absolutely rolling with him forward. Chicago, Cleveland, the next two weeks. Yeah, it was a bummer. Yeah, it was just disappointment. The Rams can't run the football. None of their running backs can run it. So I want to ask you this. If they trade for Cream Hunt, are we just going to assume that it's a gold mine? No. Yeah, like they've got a real problem as a team. Well, they'll throw them the ball. That'll be the thing that'll help. Cream hunt will be throwing the football. But not a gold mine in terms of the team is going to be all of a sudden way better, but a gold mine in.

54:27 ↗

If they trade for him, you would. I think it's a silver mine. Yeah, yeah. Okay. All right. You know, but like there should be some good volume there. Maybe there's some copper in them hills? Man, dude. Copper is very valuable. People will take your cop. Oh, people steal copper all the time. They'll steal your copper. Stop stealing copper. Seriously. It's a real jerk. Yeah. Leave our copper to us. Yeah. I need it for whatever they do with copper. I don't know. Usually it's like a water pipe. Pipes and the carburetors? Wires. Oh, wires. Yeah. Why do they steal carburetors? That's not copper related? No, that's. Papa Josh, you're the audio guy. I think you're like catalytic converter. Oh, that is what I'm thinking of. Is that because of copper? What in the heck is that? People steal those out of cars. It's for the palladium in them.

55:15 ↗

What is that? Thank you very much. Caledium is from science fiction. Why are we making up words right now? Yeah, the palladium is what Wolverine's got and it's bones. Yes. Clause are made out of it. That's Adamantium. Come on, Andy. Yeah, but what is happening right now with these words that I've never heard? I stole these catalytic converters. I mean, I said carburetor, but. Do the same people that steal the copper steal the catalytic converters? Yeah, thieves. They're the... Thieves are the ones that steal everything. Dirt bags that'll do $30,000 worth of damage so they can collect $300 worth of scrap metal. Okay. All right. Well, you know a few of these guys there, Pickle? No. Okay. David Montgomery, 15 for 53. Khalil Herbert was 16 for 99. This is why he was a second-ass sleeper. He had the touchdown. What's funny is Khalil Herbert.

56:07 ↗

Didn't play that many snaps. It's just when he was on the field, he was getting the ball every single time. But it's a timeshare. And we saw that last week. And you certainly can pick up Herbert cheaper than Montgomery in leagues. Herbert's on some waiver wires still. Let's talk about more duds. The running backs in New York, Michael Carter, James Robinson, dud, dud, you know Benjamin, Darrow Williams, dud, dud. Devin Singletary was not a dud. Man. He was a medium. Medium normal singletary. He was okay. And the way that this game started for the Buffalo Bills last night against the Packers, it was here we go. A Devon Singletary game is about to happen. And then the second half, the bills just forgot how to play offense for a little bit. That's the Devon Singletary story. Like when they write the book later on in life.

56:55 ↗

It will be like he was there and then he wasn't there and then he was there. And then he was there. And then they forgot how to play. Also, James Cook looked awesome. He did. He didn't get much run. But just when he touched the ball, he looked really explosive. I don't know if you were in the office at the time, Jason. But when I was deciding my second half sleepers, I was running Mr. James Cook by the fantasy hitman as a possibility because of second half rookies. You know, he had a big catch. You never know. Yeah, but he still needs to overtake Devon Singletary. Sure. Is it usable himself. But it's more, you know, what if Singletary gets hurt? Yeah, that's what it is. All right, we got to blitz these wide receiver duds because I don't want to think about them very long. Okay. Devante Adams, one for three is throwing this, throw it away in the garbage. Cartland Sutton, this is panic alarm? Well, there's good news here. He's on by. So the difficult thing for Sutton is.

57:52 ↗

Nothing. Well, yeah, here's, but laying it out, the last three weeks for fantasy purposes have been just atrocious. Wide receiver 70, 69, and 69. But not nice. In there against the Jets, which that was the, the Brett Rippin game, if I'm not mistaken, was still nine targets. The four targets this past week against Jacksonville, that's what is certainly troubling. I'm not, if I have Cortland Sutton and you want to trade him away. I don't think you can get Jack squat for him. I don't think that you're going to get a good return. So my plan, like I have Cortland Sutton and a lot of teams. I loved him coming into the season. And it was, it was very solid to start. So I'm going to sit on him through the by week. Well, I'm not going to sit on him. That's a mean thing to do. I'm going to put him on my bench. Hopefully over the by week, Russ continues to get healthier. And they go, we got to get the ball to Cortland Sutton. I think your hope is that Jerry Judy gets traded because if he doesn't,

58:49 ↗

with the emergence of Greg Dulcich, and Judy has been very involved. Sure. And clearly more of a go-to player right now. I don't know if it's separation or what. I think you have to bench him, Mr. Sutton. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. He gets Tennessee after the by week. That can kind of be the canary and the coal mine test there because after that it's Las Vegas. Unfortunately, this is not the first time in Corlin Sutton's career that this has happened. That's true. He's the magician. He just doesn't, for whatever reason. He's always going to be a contested catch guy, but I don't know if it's a separation issue of what it is. Devante Smith, 5 for 23. It was an AJ Brown game. Yeah, AJ Brown stole everything. This one was a bummer. Chris Olave, 5 for 52 is the worst game of the year, I believe. Thanks, Alvin. Yeah. They didn't need Olave much. That game script, they just dominated the pants off the Raiders. I'm not worried about Olave at all. What was your takeaway from the Michael Pittman experience? Oh.

59:47 ↗

Okay, so I'm a little – I mean, seven for 53. I'm happy because I was super worried about Michael Pittman. I'm happy that he got nine targets. He's the clear number one in that offense, even with, you know, Sam Ellingager throwing on the ball. That being said, he was in for a touchdown. He wasn't, but it was called touchdown on the field. And then he was a little short. If he was seven for 54 and one, man, I'd be trading. I'd be trading high. I will. Point out a couple things on that offense. One, his yards per catch went down, not up, which was something that was hypothesized. The deep targets, they were all Alec Pierce. And that's what he's going to keep doing. And Paris Campbell was still involved. Not a ton, though. Like, Paris Campbell, let me look up the touches. I know he had the big play, but Paris Campbell had two targets. Michael Pittman has only had one game at the last five weeks, six weeks.

60:43 ↗

inside the top 36. Yeah. Disappointing output, but for me, my takeaway was the tendencies, at least in one game in that small sample, Sam went to the outside wide receivers, where Matt Ryan, you know, he was, Paris Campbell was feasting on those short area targets. That's not where Ellen Gojer wanted to throw the ball. He wanted to go to the outside receivers. So. He also dropped. Remember towards the end of that game? He dropped like a 35, 40-yard pass. Hit him in the hands. Great pass. If that, if he just holds that and all of a sudden he's eight for 90 or however much that that play was worth. Pittman's a hold for me right now. Drake London. Michael Gallup. Disappointing again. George Pickens was goose. That was crazy.

61:35 ↗

They needed to throw the ball. He has been a pretty much the number one target for picket and full goose. And unfortunately, this is the Gabe Davis story. He is feast or famine. He is not somebody that they need all the time. And he's the wide receiver Devon Singletary. If he catches a long touchdown pass, you're happy. And he has not had a week without a touchdown that. You were happy. Trade for Gabe Davis. That's what I would do. Really? Oh, absolutely. I want Gabe Davis on my, because I want Gabe Davis on my team. I want a guy who can go out there and put up a monstrous performance. He's Mike Williams, except he's healthy. And so when you have a bad performance, too, for 35, just absolute garbage on a feature family player, that's the only window. Like, you trade for those guys on their down weeks. I would, I agree. I would try to get Gabe Davis, too. Christian Kirk, seven targets three for 40. Zay Jones, one for seven. Yeah.

62:30 ↗

On the ground, all of Jacksonville, except for Evan Engram. And then Wondale Robinson, two for 15. That was super disappointing. All right, Mark Andrews, three for 33. Yeah, he was hurt. Out of the game. We talked about Thursday. All right, Higby, it's been two catches for what, two straight weeks? Yes, but this, Tyler Higby is my tight end, so you know that my eyes are glued in on what is happening. Number one, he left the game early with an injury, which. The way it looked like, oh, okay, well, Higby's out. He's not coming back. He did come back. He entered the game with six targets, and you had, Jason's fixing his, what's going on here? You're up to the 70s, aren't you? Yeah, I'm in the 70s. So for Tyler Higby, there were two more designed screens that Matthew Stafford missed. And had he hit, there was especially one where he was leaking to the outside, he may have had a 50-yard touchdown. So this is a hold with Tyler Higby.

63:27 ↗

Especially with, like, if Cooper Cup misses time, Tyler Higbee's going to see more targets. I think there's a pretty good chance Brandon Cooks ends up on that roster in a couple days. We will find out. I guess a day. Robert Tunyon, not a good week. Pat for Iron Youth, unfortunately. Yeah, yeah, it's fine. He was fine. He was fine. He had seven targets. He looked good during the game. He just didn't, you know, have the great. He didn't get a touchdown. So I believe we made it through. We did it, everybody. How's the pickle doing? How's Conan O'Brien? Doing great. That sign looks pretty good behind you. Deucer's Alley officially in business. Thank you. Thank you for dressing up. Josh. Thanks for being here. Thanks for being here. Thanks for showing up to work. I want to know, Brooks. What is your percentage? Because you've been wearing a latex mask for an hour now. Yeah. I'm all right. Oh, wow. I'm all right right here. Okay. Impressive. All right. Well.

64:22 ↗

That'll do it. We're done. I think that just makes you a big baby. Well, I already knew that. I start most times at a 70. Enjoy the game tonight. Browns, bangles.
