Let me rephrase it. Are you a liar? That is, well, no, I'm not a liar because I have tried my best to make sure that Carson Wince and Baker Mayfield that these guys have not enticed me too much. The question is good. Does Matt Ryan count as that mid-tier quarterback that cannot save the day? And I find myself thinking that he does not count. I mean, this is a former MVP of the league.

His raw metrics last year were still very good, despite not a lot of talent around him, not a good offensive line. So I do think Matt Ryan is a significant upgrade here. This is certainly a great thing to look back on at the end of this year and be like, did that change and the improvement and system and coach in offensive line? Was that enough to take an older version of Matt Ryan and keep him great?

Or is this just, you know, Philip Rivers part two? Yeah, I was trying to, as you said that, was trying to get the age of Philip Rivers when he joined the Colts, which he's 40 right now. So he had to have been right around that 37, 38 year old range. So that will be interesting. Is Matt Ryan on the tail end of his career? Or does he have a year or two like, you know, what Kurt Warner in Arizona did?

to be able to move, you know, we like the structure around him. Yes. So that gives you optimism, but I also really like the structure around Philip Rivers during his time there. So it makes me cautious, Mike. I think Matt Ryan is very good. I mean, in Philip Rivers, in 2020 and Indianapolis, himself, not a, you know, not a top tier fantasy quarterback, but basically 4,200 yards and 24 touchdowns.

If Matt Ryan's putting that up in Indianapolis, like you have, like Michael Pittman should be excellent with that number. And then like someone, one of the other pass catchers too will have some relevance. So I, that's plenty to me. But isn't that disappointing in the grand scheme? Because Wince put up 27 touchdowns in 4,000 yards last year. Yeah. But, but Pittman was still had a breakout season. Well, I get, but. That's all I care about. All I care about is Michael Pittman.

Yeah, I think there's two different ways to look at this question. But then it's neutral. Right. So the question to me is, is Matt Ryan good for fantasy with this change? And in that, even though we like the system, I don't love Matt Ryan for fantasy because, you know, you've got Moe Alley Cox to get a couple touchdowns here. There you've got Pittman to soak up a lot. But there is not a bunch of pass catchers around him. But Matt Ryan is still, I believe, a leap.

forward from Carson Wins. So when you're talking about Pittman, I think Pittman goes far north of what he was able to do last year. So it's pro Pitman, not necessarily pro Matt Ryan for individual fantasy success in 2022. Yeah, the exact language you used when discussing this topic was move the needle. Do they move the needle for the receiving core? Or does the needle stay the same? That would be the standard by which to judge Mattie Ice over the course of the year.

Best quarterback in football or a top three quarterback. Proven track record, not presently as injured as Jameson Williams. Williams may take two, three years to mature into somebody that you're... Sorry. Hopefully not Mike, or my argument is void. But Jameson Williams could take two or three years. It could be the next quarterback in Detroit. He could bust. And yes, that's a good point. Like he could be a treadwell. We don't know.

You said it right off the bat. The thing that pushes me to the Mike Williams, in addition to everything of just the known commodity, the projection this year is the contract. He just signed a three years $60 million contract. So you know the next three years he's part of the plan. Yeah. So the age gap doesn't scare me as much knowing he's got a fresh new bag of money. Fantasy football player of all time. Thanks, love the show. We actually get asked this question quite often. And my answer has never changed. My favorite of all time is Arian Foster. Do you know my favorite of all time since we've. LaDanean Thomas. That is correct. And mine is Antonio Brown. All right. That was easy. Yeah, I think I could have guessed that. Yeah. Multiple titles with my man, Antonio.

But nobody knows the Ducer's favorite fantasy football players of all time. Let's go. Let's go, Ducers. Mine is also Antonio Brown had him as a, really? That's my single keeper and a full PPR for all of those glorious years. Man, he made an impact on those that had him on his roster, on their roster. Mine's Keenan Allen, always. Yeah, okay. Good of that one. Al. Jamal Charles. That's a great answer. All right. My memories of Jamal Charles are two.

The first year, I joined the League of Record. I finally got in. We did an expansion draft for the keepers. And so I got to, you know, go to the pool and somehow Jamal Charles is there. I'm like, excellent. I will take him. And that was when he tore his ACL, what was like week two, week three or so. Yeah. And then I never had him on another team.

until, not until, but never had him in another team, just didn't work out, and then faced him in the fantasy football playoffs when he had the four touchdown? Four or five touchdown week, and I had like by far the best team. It was on the way to win. So it's not good memories of Jamal Charles. No, no, no, Jerome Charles. I mean, great player. I can tell you, if you had him personally attacked me. It was a good time. That's, that's how I feel about Antonio Brown. Like, Mike had Antonio Brown for that whole stretch of dominance and nobody else.

got like a single share, you know, usually, you know, just a handful of managers that get to, you know, share in some of that glory. But you had them the whole stretch. So it was fun. Yeah, no, it wasn't. Uh, Instagram question from J. MC Donald 77. Can I draft Leonard Fornett in the second? Yes, absolutely. Why? Someone, there's a counseling session now. Mm-hmm. Why can't I draft him?

Why do I, why am I not able to do it? Um, you're saying, you, me personally. Why can't I take the second round leave? Why can't I trust Leonard Fournet? Why, why am I here? I think that you are anti Leonard Fournet as a player. He is overweight. He's had, um,

you know, some discipline issues in the past. He's had inefficiency and ineffectiveness on massive volume in the passage. So it's not exciting a lot of times to have Leonard Fournett because of all of those things. But when he is the pass catching and goal line back for a really good offense led by Tom Brady,

I mean, we just, we know the fantasy value will 100% be there. The only way it doesn't work out is if they literally move on from him. And I don't see that happening. Well, let me give you some names that make it hard for me. Okay. And how they hit. First, I'm going to let it hit fresh. Leonard Fournette. Okay. Leonard Fornett. Got it. We're talking like the back of the second. DeAndre Swift. Oh, no, of course. I would take Swift. Aaron Jones. I would take Aaron Jones.

Giovante Williams. That's where it's really, really close. That one is tough because I project for Leonard Fornett to have a better season. But you're talking about talent versus opportunity. I don't have a problem going either way, but I'd probably go Leonard Fornett. The crazy thing here for Leonard Fornet is, I mean, you remember, flashback to last year, I mean, he...

It was a toss-up between him and Ronald Jones. We weren't sure who was actually going to be the starter. And Leonard Fournett didn't start off great. Running back 35, 25, 44, and then it goes on this huge run because Ronald Jones fumbled and then Fournett becomes the guy. But the guy had 180 carries, barely over 800 rushing yards, eight rushing touchdowns. He just had so many freaking receptions that he just...

That's why it feels bad because it feels like it was cheap that he just patted his way there with a with a couple of like $5 bills just stacking on top of each other. And all of a sudden you're like, oh, actually I do have a lot of money. They're just in five. Yeah, it's it was it's what he does. It's inefficient and he's not that great. 84 target. But you don't have to look, right? You just stock on the stock market that's just.

boring, but at the end of the day, you make more money off of it? Right. So once he took over in week four through the rest of his playing season, because he missed the last few games, here are the running backs who scored more fantasy points than him during that, which was basically weeks four through 15, still the majority of the season.
