I'm just going to digress because the other option is to fully just dive in. And the whole analogy about digging the whole deeper, I've decided to learn from. These are just the highlights, right? Right. So the Lions and the Vikings, we've got to move on. Stafford, Bridgewater, the Vikings looked tremendously terrible. Oh, my goodness. I am going to give more credit to the Niners than to the just terribleness of the Vikings. I think a lot of it was San Francisco.

Well, all right. So, Joach Bell, Amir Abdullah, I think we know who we're starting now. Yeah. Amir Abdullah until further notice. Absolutely. But, but in denial, Andy needs some goal line carries from Joach Bell this week. So I'm putting in the request. I'm going to mention Abdullah's name three times fast, Abdullah, Abdullah, Abdullah. And we'll see what happens. All you need is that for...

the hundred yards of the field, you need the lines to end up exactly on the two-yard line to score. And then Joach Bell will be just the bees' knees. Well, he'll be relevant. I wish we had more time to talk about it. I really do. But we don't. Calvin Johnson, does he come back? Yeah. It's Calvin Johnson. Yeah, but the Vikings do have a... Oh my gosh. Don't be the Tom Brady. No, no. Do you need to evaluate the quarterback position? No, no, not at all.

No, my point is more that the Vikings have a great secondary. I'm not worried about Calvin Johnson. You want to know why? Why is that? Matthew Stafford. Huh? That does not give me any sort of confidence in anybody. That is the answer to the question, because Matthew Stafford will pepper Calvin Johnson with targets. Okay. So why didn't Matthew Stafford play quarterback last week? So do you know what an outlier is, Jason? Because you could look at the entire career of Calvin Johnson or one game.

I'm not saying he's dead. I'm saying, is he going to be a top five guy this week? Xavier Rhodes is a spectacular corner. Yeah, I'm not given too much. I give credit to the Calvin Johnson effect, and he's number five for me this week. So yes is the answer. And Adrian Peterson, all systems go. Yeah. Yeah, he better bounce back. All right. Last game to go through. We got starts of the week. We're going to have a little longer show today. That's all right. And that's fine. All right. The Atlanta Falcons at the New York.

Football Giants. I really am high on Matt Ryan this week. Higher than anybody else, I think, from our group. Not much higher than me. Okay, so I have him wear one. I have him at one. Wow. So that is... No one has him higher. Mike has him at two, Jason at six. I think that is all on the basis of Hula Jones being okay. And we didn't mention it in the... I don't know why we didn't mention it. I blame whoever put the news in, Mike. Because they...

Go ahead. He didn't practice. Right, but... And he's Julio Jones, and he's injury prone. That's a fair point. When asked about Julio's injury, Dan Quinn laughed and said they were joking about it in the game. Because if you watched the game, he was in and out, and he looked a little banged up on the leg, but I'm not concerned about it right now. Well, that's good, because I have him in basically every league.

So, all right, running back position. We saw the Tevin Coleman Devante Freeman experience last week. Now, the caveat here, I'm still going to remind you, it was no catches for Coleman, three catches for Freeman, pass protection for Freeman. He certainly didn't produce on the ground the way Coleman did. Coleman, we all agreed, looked the part. He got 20 carries. That blew me away, and I think it says going forward. That's a great number for a rookie. Tevin Coleman's going to be the guy there. And I really like Tevin Coleman this week.

Okay, and I don't blame me for that. Rashad Jennings is the guy I like in the running back stable. Yeah, he got the goal line carry even after fumbling. Yep. Why is Toy Lola written down as the tight end for the Falcons? That would be Jacob Tammy. That's who I'm more concerned about. I don't know. Either of them. Neither of them is the word you're looking for, Mike. The Falcons were very good against the run last week. We should remind our listeners of that. And continue to play Roddy White until he is not healthy.

Start of the week last week, plenty of targets to go around when Julio Jones is attracting like four of them, four defenders. So, I mean, Julio was outstanding last week. I don't think we spent enough time talking about his impact because it was the... The greatness that is Julio Jones? He is wonderful. I'm having him over for a Froya. I heard he saved five orphans from a burning building. While he one hand catched a touchdown. Of course. All right, let's get to the main event here.

Starts of the week. All right, let's go ahead and go through our starts of the week. We'll start with the tight-in position, and I'm going to kick it to Mike. Who is your tight-in start of the week? My tight-in, I'm going back to the well. Martellus Bennett, the tight-end versus the Cardinals. And my reasoning for that is because Patrick Peterson was so good that I think he's going to give Alshan Jeffrey.

a tough week, which is going to leave some crevices open for Martellus Bennett to get in the end zone. I love it. That was going to be mine, except I picked them last week, but he's beautiful. He's my number three tight-in this week. All right, Jason, what is your tight-end start of the week? My tight-end start of the week is Jason Witten. With no Des Bryant, I think there's going to be extra targets to go around. They're not all going to go to Terrence Williams, and it's going to be a high-scoring game, so I like Jason Witten as just a really plug-and-play, great option. I'm going to go a little deeper.

because I'm ambitious and bold. I'm going to pick Vernon Davis at the Steelers. I think he was not bad last week. I watched that game pretty closely. He ran a lot of routes. He was open, and he has the tendency to run kind of those post routes and take one of the house. And I like Vernon Davis as a surprise play. If you are in desperate need, I would roll him out against Pittsburgh because Pittsburgh has not learned to play defense. Vernon Davis or Austin Sfarion Jenkins? Vernon Davis. All right, there you go. Which is probably...

I'm probably alone in that one. Yep. So at the wide receiver position, my start of the week is Terrence Williams at the Eagles. It's a simple equation here. It is one part Tony Romo, one part, no, Des Bryant, and I like Terrence Williams. He had a good week last week. If you were a fantasy owner, he was okay for you without a touchdown. And so I like Terrence Williams. And he's going to, the Cowboys will have to score if they're going to keep up with the Eagles. Exactly. So Jason, who's yours?

I've got John Brown. Johnny Boomtown! I think it's going to be a high-scoring game in Chicago. I think from what I saw week one, the way when things matter, I think John Brown's going to be the guy that he's going to, and I expect him to get in the end zone. Love me some John Brown. All right, Mike, who's your wide receiver start of the week? My wide receiver start of the week is PR Garson, and this is PPR-R-related. PPR alert, people. Week one, because Deshaun Jackson was out and he's going to miss again.

Compared to last year's numbers, Garcone doubled almost everything. His targets, his catches, and his yards. Garcone has always been a solid receiver when he gets the volume, and I think they're going to have to get him the volume against a tough defense in St. Louis. I love it. I like that pick. All right. Jason, why don't you kick us your running back start of the week? My running back start of the week is Mark Ingram, because I disagree with Tampa Bay being good. No, no, no, no.

Nobody said Tampa Bay was good. Well, able to beat the Saints. Who are 0 and 1 and not good. Okay. I think that the Saints will be in the lead. I think that they used Mark Ingram in passing situations too. I expect him to clobber Tampa Bay. I have a very good opportunity to score a touchdown. No matter how the game goes, Mark Ingram's great. I actually have him right now in PPR and Hapoint PPR as my number one. Bold.

Spicy. All right, my running back start of the week is Justin Forset. Because you're going so deep. That's pretty, that's not, I mean, he's a little banged up. He didn't have a good week. I was just mocking you because you felt so, you were so deep with your Vernon Davis. No, you're going with a guy drafted in the second round. Yep.

In your face, Andy. Justin Forset. All right, fair enough. We love each other here on this show. He bounces back this week. Mike, who's your running back start of the week? I completely agree with Justin Forset bouncing back this week. My running back start of the week is Kevin Coleman. He went 20 for 80 against the Eagles. Not bad. Not bad. Went 10 for 18. Well, you know. 10 for 18. Hey. He ran for more yards, but every time he didn't, he got caught in the backfield. Devante Freeman is...

You know those inflatable things when you're a kid and you punch it and it just falls over immediately. I mean, it gets back up, but you don't take much, very much strength to knock it down. That's Devante Freeman. As Tevin Coleman grows and he gets more trust in the coaching staff, he's going to start getting in on passing downs. But for now, even without those, I got Tevin Coleman. I'm going to need some fumbles from Coleman to win this today. You sure are. All right. The.

Quarterback position, let's go ahead and let Mike keep that going here. The quarterback start of the week for Mike is... Carson Palmer. I'm continuing with my great love for Carson Palmer. He went beast mode to steal a player's nickname with 307 yards and three touchdowns. And now he goes up against the Bears who, wow, they didn't give up a ton of yardage to Aaron Rogers. It's because Rogers is so effective. So I love Carson Palmer, even on the road. All right, Jason?

Well, we said it earlier, but it is Marcus Marriota. Now, I'm not expecting him to come out and throw four touchdowns and a half, but I think he's going to have a great matchup here with Cleveland. He is going to be accurate. Give me the stat line you have for him. I'm just curious. Yeah, the stat line I have for him is 200 passing yards, two touchdowns. I've got him stat up for half an interception. That's how we stat here. 25 yards on the ground and no running touchdowns. So that to me puts him, I would start him over Cam Newton.

I would start him over Colin Kaepernick, Alex Smith, and Eli Manning. All right. I don't mind those numbers. I don't think we actually disagree. I think him coming back down to Earth is those numbers. So I think we're like, you know. Yeah, but I think the question, in all fairness, said, is going to like horrifically come back to Earth. I don't think that would be horrific. We all really didn't listen to that in our replies, though. Because Keenan Allen, we said, wasn't going to horrifically come back to Earth. And maybe Alex Smith will. I think he will.

Okay, and so my quarterback start of the week to wrap up our starts of the week segment is Sammy Biscuits. Sammy Biscuits. Bones are made of Biscuits. Oh, he did twist his ankle. But Sammy Bradford is who we're talking about, he's facing Dallas. I felt like they found a groove and got comfortable in the second half. It's a first game out last week. And the truth is, is Philadelphia, you're going to see this a lot this year. They're going to beat teams in the second half of games because they...

Wear them down. Part of what their offense is predicated on is wearing down the defense with the speed that they kind of throw out there. So I like him this week against Dallas. He missed, I mean, he did throw another touchdown last week. They didn't count because Chip Kelly decided not to throw the red flag. Why do coaches hold these challenge flags? Like, it's precious, my precious red challenge flag. It's because he's so much.

He's above the challenge. He didn't need it. He didn't need it. He had Ryan Dreamcatcher Matthews. It was his new nickname. The Dream Catcher. It wasn't just them. It was also Tampa Bay with Vincent Jackson should have had a touchdown. Yeah. What was up with that one? Because I had him. Exactly. Start of the week. Kill kills people.
