What you're saying, specifically the running back position. And what the transactions that they've been doing show that they're not looking to make Miles Sanders give them everything three down back like they were trying to make him going into last year. They saw that it didn't work out and they need depth and they might need specialists in there. And so I agree with all that. My only question is, what can you get for him? Are you going to find someone in your league that's really willing to pay up for Miles Sanders? I believe you. I believe there will be a few of them. He was hurt three times last year.

We should bring some more backs in here. Yeah, they paid Jordan Howard and then they brought in Gainwell and they brought in carry on. So yeah, I mean, maybe it's a matter of stair stepping down your expectations for Sanders. So go out and trade him for what somebody else is expecting him to be. Yep. All right. Let's jump into the mailbag. Mailbag. Dynasty.
All right, if you have a question, you can go to the website, the fantasy footballers.com, click the submit a question button or dial the voicemail. Hotline 302464 TFFB. All right. Brooks, do you have a favorite question here that we should hit first? Oh, one sec. Let me look. He was even. They're playing cards back there. Oh, man. What were your cards? Is that Omaha? Yeah, they're playing. You trade Bitcoin back there? I mean, I can pick a question, Brooks. I just didn't know if you had a favorite. Nah.
Okay, no favor. All right. What are the main draft strategy changes when switching from redraft to dynasty? So this is, I saw this after the first Dynasty Week show, a bunch of people on Twitter said, hey, I don't have an all-time. I don't have a greatest dynasty trade ever because this is my first year. Sure.
congratulations you're going to have a lot of fun with it the biggest change for me and it's a monumental difference is really running backs in the first couple rounds like if i'm in a redraft league i focus on running backs in the first couple rounds i you know we don't ever want to lock into any strategy but more often than not lately over the last couple of years i'm leaving the first two rounds in my redraft keeper leagues with two running backs and more often than not
In fact, I would say almost 100% of the time, if I'm doing a dynasty startup, I'm leaving the first two rounds with two wide receivers because of everything we talked about here today. You might notice where we go, oh, Derek Henry, he's 27. He's so old. Oh, Amari Cooper, he's only 27. He's so young. It's the same age. That's because the shelf life is so different for those positions where I don't want to spend my high capital on running backs early in a startup draft.
There's, you know, a handful of those phenomenal young, going to play another six, seven, eight, ten years at wide receiver. I tend to shift that way in the beginning of my dynasty drafts. And you're going to be shocked when you see where some of these rookies are drafted, like especially rookie wide receivers. So my example will be Jamar Chase. Jamar Chase, this guy has not played a single snap in the NFL, but in a startup draft.
Where do you think he's going to go, Jay? Top three rounds? I personally, if you listened to the last week's show, I wouldn't do it myself. I'm not saying you would. Yes, I think you will. You'll be shocked. And in a redraft league, I mean, Jamar, sixth round, seventh round, there will be a substantial difference. And when it comes to rookies, you just have to call your shot. If you're going to go after them, you're going to have to go after them earlier than other people.
Instagram question, Odell or Juju in Dynasty? Oh, that's great. I mean, you've got two different disappointments, but I'm going to take the younger one when they're both disappointing and they both have reasons why they will tell you they're still going to be great. There's a large age gap between Juju Smith-Schuster and O'Dell Beckham Jr. I would rather have the one that can disappoint me for a longer amount of time in Juju. I guess I lean Odell. Really? Yeah. Just by.
a very small amount, but simply because I think this year, Odell, will be the leading fantasy producer of the wide receiver core in Cleveland. Eileen O'Dell as well, even though O'Dell Beckham has not had a hundred-yard game since week six of 2019. Yeah. Do you guys realize that was the wide receiver 18 this year? Yeah. Okay. Just, I mean, I know we all love to.
be upset with his production because he never turned into the dominant era parent to Antonio Brown. But if you're full PPR, you're probably stupid not to take juju. Yeah, I mean, there's a four year, 24 and a half years old versus 28 and a half years old. This is another tough question. FXR brother on Instagram says, do you sell Miles Gaskin right now? Oh, yeah. I mean. In Dynasty? Yes. This is Dynasty Week, Mike.
Yes. Okay, yeah. Yeah, what a dumb. I'm so sorry. What an idiot? How dare you? What other kind is there? But there was the news blurb. I don't know if we mentioned it or not, but the Miami Dolphins put a claim in on Kerry on Johnson. And they didn't get him because the Eagles had the higher priority. But the Miles Gaskin survived the draft. We could get to the start of the season. And Miles Gaskin maybe survives training camp additions as well. They added Malcolm Brown, too.
I keep bringing it up as though it doesn't, you know, people don't think it matters. It really does. It does. It matters because they added him. They pursued him this offseason. They like him. They talk about him well. The same way that Malcolm Brown was annoying for Rams backfield. There's so little draft capital in Miles Gaskin. He does not matter to them. It's the same thing as James Robinson. It's like if you don't invest in this player, yeah, they were absolutely good on the field last year. It doesn't matter at the end of the day to those teams. They aren't the long-term.
fixed. They're not the solution. They're not the running back that's going to be there. My original trade away target was Chase Edmonds. Similar situation like there is some hype that this year he could be the guy. Don't trade on the promise that he could be the guy and you're getting that value. You're taking all the value of the rumor and you're acquiring it. Twitter question from Dennis Stash. Does Gardner or Minchu still have value? Nope.
To his family. Oh, absolutely. Yeah, as a human being, yes. Tons of values. Yeah. Everyone. But to your fantasy team? No. No. Well, but to an NFL team, no. Yeah. You know, he could be a backup. Yeah, I mean, I guess, look, if I'm. Are the jorts put out on the, like, little boat and pushed out to a Viking funeral for the jorts? If you're an NFL team. You throw a flaming football into it. If you're an NFL team.
Yeah, okay. I'll speak for myself. I would absolutely want Gardner Minshu as my backup quarterback. Sure. Honestly, he would make a really good, like, scout team quarterback. If you've got a mobile quarterback you're going up against, you want someone to replicate, it'd be good for practices. But in your Dynasty League, this is Dynasty Week. No. All right, I'm asking this one because I want to hear your guys' answer. This is from Chase and North Dakota. Yo, yo, yo, yo, ballers. Yeah. Should I trade Dalvin Cook for Clyde Edwards-Alair and the 103?
and my rookie draft this year. Dalvin Cook for Clyde and the 103. Okay, so right now the 103, you've got, it seems to be in a lot of places. Najee Harris, Jamar Chase, Kyle Pitts, sometimes ETN. Sometimes Javante won't. Yeah, sometimes Javante. Let's assume. Sometimes Devante Smith. Let's assume that Najee and.
Chase are gone. So you can have anyone else. So let's just call it. You could go Pitts and Clyde or you go ETN and Clyde. And in both of those cases, I'm perfectly fine with that trade. Okay. It's a yes for me. I would trade Dalvin for Clyde and ETN. Yeah. Double up. Take two shots at the running back position. I think I would do that too. Yeah. I'm fine with that. I do think I would look at my roster and just say, you know, if.
If I'm a little shallow and I could use depth and use more pieces and get a little younger, then that is an absolutely fair trade. But if I'm really contending, if I am, you know, my roster is like, I can win a championship this year. You talk about, oh, I'll get two for one. Well, Dalvin is one of those rare. He's two. You're getting two for one in one slot. You just can't replicate that for fantasy points on your roster and winning championships. It's like CMC, right? Exactly. CMC is three.
So I've got five running backs of my Tuesday. Oh, you dirty dog. Set that one up. All right, that'll do it for today's episode of the Fantasy Footballers podcast. We hope you enjoyed Dynasty Week. I know I did. It was great. Yeah. All right. Next week, we'll talk to you. Goodbye. Thank you for listening to another episode of the Fantasy Footballers podcast.
