That stinks. All right. This is interesting. Ron Rivera is saying that Alex Smith and Taylor Heineke could rotate against the bucks. Smith is not 100%. No. His mobility is a huge issue right now. Bruce Sarians has given him depth. Did you see the Bruce quote? No, I did not. They were asking Bruce about playing the Washington football team. Their record is 7 and 9.

I mean, when you think about that team, I don't think I've given them enough credit to the degree that, like, their offense, it struggles. But they've been missing pieces at certain times, especially the quarterback has moved around. And their defense is outstanding. Now, Bruce Ariens also said, you know, I think Chase Young said, I'm ready for Tom Brady. And then Bruce Ariens said something like, be careful what?
You wish for. So that will be exciting, fun. Josh Jacobs, less fun, less exciting. Arrested for DUI in Las Vegas right after their win this past week, court appearance on March 8th. You could see a suspension. We've talked about the suspensions heading into next year. You could see something with Melvin Gordon. You will see something with Will Fuller. Will Fuller will miss the first game of next year to conclude his suspension.
for performance enhancing drugs, and Josh Jacobs could very well miss some time. Yeah, he probably will. It'll probably be dealt with in the offseason because of the timeline, if that's the case. We'll know heading into the draft, hopefully how many games. I expect something around three games for Melvin Gordon and Josh Jacobs. And then one final bit of news, the eternal one. Frank Gore did not close the door on returning for a 17th NFL season.
in the right circumstance is open to playing again in 2021. Is there, I mean, I'm at the point now where I want his son to reach the NFL at the same time that Frank Gore is still in the NFL. That'd be awesome. Play fullback. Convert him to fullback for his own son. That'd be pretty sweet. I mean, could you imagine the extra effort you would give like this is for my son? You won't touch him.
Oh my gosh, that would be great to have him convert to fullback. How funny. Speaking of Sons, fellas, it's 2021 where everyone's looking for some good news. And we were tagged on it a whole bunch because of what Jason, he went off on a monologue on our other podcast, the Spitballers podcast. Did you guys see Cayu has been canceled? I did see. 20-year run for that little boy.
Why? 20 years. He couldn't grow hair in 20 years. He took him 20 years and he couldn't do it. Yeah, that was very funny. He's got a season two of Firefly, which was awesome. 20 years for freaking Cayu? I mean, you want to talk about, hey, not everything's different the moment we hit 2021. Well, we're off to a good start. Get that Cayu out of my life.
Do you think that after they made Kyu as a joke for that first year and then they've just been collecting money for 19 years laughing in the background? Oh, they know it's terrible. They know, I mean, obviously they hear the feedback that everybody hates it. And they've just made it. They've dived right into the deep water of what people hate and said, this is where we're going to live here because this is why people watch it to hate it. They hate watch it. They love to hate Kaiu. That's the truth.
I want to invite everybody, by the way, we're going to get into the footy award winners momentarily. But I do want to invite everybody over to footclanchallenge.com. We are doing a playoff challenge. Once again, it's completely free. There are about 4,000 of you. Every year we do it, and it's a lot of fun. So you can check that out at footclanchallenge.com. It's the NFL Playoff Challenge through the NFL.
I'm excited. Yeah, it's going to be awesome. Let me tell you what I'm doing for my playoff challenge. I am taking my lineups up to 100 because I plan to win this year and I think I've got the right guys. Look, when guys are confident, you don't settle for anything less than 100. I mean, my 2021 UDK rankings, I'm already taking them up to 100. I'm already working on them. Everything we do around here will be taken up to 100. And most importantly,
Most importantly, the footies that are about to come, these awards that are going to be given out are fully at 100. I mean, I've had players DMing me saying, where is my footie? And I'm like, dude, you got to wait. You got to wait for the show. Did you win? Did you win? Because it'll be in the mail, but only if you win. So look, if you want to take your hair up to 100 with head and shoulders, it's available online at Walmart.
Head and shoulders is always taking your hair up to 100. All right. Without further ado, you know, tighten up your ties and put your jacket on. Mike, I'm disappointed you're not wearing some sort of illustrious spectacular. I have a tuxedo pants on. Okay. Well, that's good to know. Let's get into the Footy Awards.
Welcome in one and all the 2020 footy awards from the fantasy footballers podcast, the most prestigious, elegant, wonderful awards. And I don't even know the winners. So very excited. Right now it's us with this music. Take it around again, fellas. Let it run a little bit longer. Yeah. Hey. This is when the camera is panning around the auditorium. All the prestigious guests. You'll see such things as performance of the year.
Nickname of the year, and favorite show moment. Now, Celine Dionne has completed her national anthem, or did we not get her again? She fliked again. This is the fifth year in a row. Can you believe it? She accepted. Yeah. Just didn't show. What is the music doing at this point? I think the music is playing the whole time, but because of the remote, it's like dropping in and out. Oh, that's what's happening.
Just feels like it's bursting onto the scene over and over again. All right, we're here. I'm excited. I do not know who the winners are. Jason has the golden envelopes, and we are about to find out the winner of 15 different footy awards. Thank you, everybody who voted for these. It is always very, very exciting. I can't wait to find out the nickname of the year. But let's begin here with the performance of the year.
Which single week performance was the most impressive? This might be a softball, a layup. I mean, Alvin Camara, Dalvin Cook, Tyreek Hill, Tyler Lockett, and Darren Waller were the nominees. But Jason, you have the envelope. It is time to get to the first winner. Drum roll, please. Performance of the year winner, of course, is Alvin Camara in week 16 with his six rushing touchdowns in championship week. But here's the most impressive thing.
He won was 75% of the vote in a five-way race. Too little. Yeah, I know. The runner-up was Tyree Kill when he had that crazy like thousand-yard pace in the first quarter. And he only had 15%. So this was a runaway win for Alvin Super Camario. Yeah, a bit of a disappointment. He didn't have seven touchdowns, though. Let's just focus on that. He should have. Also, Alvin, your footie is in the mail. Yes, yes. Be on the lookout.
The second footy is the Fantasy Reaper's Man of the Year. I placed my stamp on this award. Which players painful injury hurt fantasy managers the most? Last year, James Connor received this award. He was very, he was not happy to receive it. There are some awards that you don't want to get in the mail. But it is still a footie, so he was still very excited.
He still shows it to the other footy award winners, and they're like, dude. And he says it turned around. So it doesn't say the name of the award. He covers the plaque. Yeah. This year's nominees for the Fantasy Reaper's Man of the Year, Christian McCaffrey, Sequin Barclay, Michael Thomas, Kenny Galladay, and Joe mixing. Oh, man, I really hope this is Christian McCaffrey. It just would be so cathartic. Look, if you had one of these players, this is the only thing I've got left was that he wins a footie. All right.
Let's get to it. Drum roll, please. The winner is Christian McAfrey with 52% of the vote. He did it. Congratulations, Christian. Your footie is in the mail. Michael Thomas came in second with 20% of the vote. Saquan with 19 and Gallaudet, just 4% mix and 3%. So it was about those three big names at the top of your drafts. It makes sense, right? The people that hurt you the most are the most, you know.
Whoever you spent the most on. Now, do we send a broken footie to this winter? We send it whole, but we don't use any packing products. It's just jingling around in an oversized box. And then how it shows up is how it shows up. That's right. Probably how they showed up for my team. Yeah, you just don't know. All right. I got bits and pieces that were real good from Christian McCaffrey. He'll get some nice pieces of this trophy.
Oh, spectacular. Okay, the third award today is the Poopiest Pants Award. This is an award that despite high expectation, this player let down fantasy managers over and over again. Beckham won it last year. This year's nominees include Ezekiel Elliott, Chris Godwin, Lev Bell, Juju, Smith, Schuster, Mark Ingram, and Zachary Ertz. Now, I know Mike ran a full, like you invested most of your capital, some of Brooks's money, on a full anti-Zackertz campaign.
I did run a little bit of a smear campaign. I'm sorry. I'm Mike Wright, and I approve this message. That's right. All right. Let's find out the winner here. Oh, my goodness. I am shocked. The winner is Ezekiel Elliott. Oh, man. With 55% of the vote. 55? 55. There it is.
All right, that is illustrative of his 103 average draft position. He was the third running back off the board. And can you honestly say, now I'll defend the 55% here. Can you honestly say that Zeke did anything at that draft price to win you a week? Absolutely, he did 100%. If you want to compare whether Zeke won anybody some weeks or whether...
Zach Ertz did. I mean, Ezekiel Elliott was a, didn't he finish the years of top 10 running back or something like that? But who cares? He's the 103. Zachertz was a fifth round pick. You could fart on that position and go get somebody else. The first five weeks of the season, Ezekiel Elliott was three times a running back one, never outside of a running back two, whereas Zach Ertz, you still spent up and on a tight-in position.
I mean, Zach has one good game of his career. It's the worst than he was the RB 11. Yeah, but that is, I mean, if you get the RB 11 from the RB3 spot that you drafted over Alvin Camara to Alvin Cook, because he went above those guys. I get it. I mean, the proof is in the pudding here, gentlemen. 4,240 votes for Ezekiel Elliott, 4,240 disappointed people.
It's, it's Zeke. Your footy is in the mail. I personally, this is, I didn't, I didn't draft Zique anywhere. I was never in that position to draft it. But I personally want to thank Ezekiel Elliott for, uh, what was that, week 15. Week 15, he was incredible for my team. He was. He sat out so I could play Tony Pollard. There you go. The title.
There you go. I just want to illustrate one thing on Zachert since he did not win the award before we move on. You know how we joke how easy it is to be topped in on a week on tight-in because you just, if you catch a touchdown or something, here are Zachert's weekly finishes. Don't do this. 15, 21, 7, 28, 43, 23, 28, 44, 16, 32, 31. I mean. Yeah, it's not good.
It's not even bad. It's horrific. He was the lowest draft position of all of the players in this category. Like Mark Ingram at 408 was useless. Certainly. But you knew.
You knew pretty quick you shouldn't be playing Mark Ingram. Zach Ertz, you just, you have to keep playing him going, well, he's Zach Ernst. No, I get it. Lev Bell ended up third, by the way. Zachertz was second with 13% of the vote. Love Bell was third with 11%. All right. The fourth award, the waiver wire wonder, which, we're getting more positive here, Mike. Yeah. Which undrafted waiver wire stud was the best signing of the entire 2020 season. Devante Parker won it last year. And this year's nominees were James Robinson. Miles Gas, man. Oh.
