Playoff episode about letting old fantasy grudges go, the hosts' personal league stakes and the recurring Monday Punday ritual.
the Eagles had a bad game. I still think they're a very good team. They are a good team, but he's thrown, here's his passing yards. Yeah. Over the last three weeks, 179, 118, if you go into your fantasy playoffs, you're fine with that. As long as you have hurts, you're fine with that. Is that what you're saying? Yeah, I mean, his not if you have Brown. No, no, no. Smith, that's my point. I'm just talking about hurts. Yes, the receiving weapons are obviously you want, you need more. passing yardage. Saquan is a big part of the problem. His rushing ability and his rushing yardage has taken over to the Eagles with their defense and their running game. You don't need to throw the ball a lot. And so that can be frustrating for the weapons. Yeah, if you're Devante Smith manager, you're really scared. You're not expecting massive games. Obviously, you got the touchdown this week. But the rushing touchdowns are still there for Hertz. So Hertz, you're fine with. The last four years, 10 touchdowns, just rushing. 13 touchdowns.
15 touchdowns and 13 this year with weeks to go. I mean, Pittsburgh, though, next week to start your playoffs for Jalen Hertz, he did finish at five this week, the previous three weeks outside the top 12, three consecutive weeks. I do think things are going a little bit, like you said, Sequin's a piece of it. Confidence in the passing game is not there. So if you're AJ Brown and Devonthe's made, you're a little nervous if you're managing those players. Tua deserves a ton of credit for what he is doing right now. in fantasy and on the field for his team in fantasy to it is the quarterback two five and three over the last three weeks he's the quarterback one over the last month so you know and he's getting it done each and every week you saw wattle and he'll get involved you saw john new smith in overtime you throw the ball to a chan all the time he's averaging you know the last month is that what you said jay he's the quarterback one he's averaging
As opposed to the, what, 108 passing yards of Mr. Jalen Hertz, 325 a game for Tua, they play Houston, then San Francisco, then Cleveland. I'm not scared of any of those matchups. No, those are three good defenses, but absolutely not scary. I wouldn't bench him. And the nice thing is those are three offenses that should be able to make it into really valuable games. Yes. I think Tua could be a league winner. Could be. I just want to see. The thing is with the dolphins in general, they do a good job beating up on bad teams. And so I'm really curious coming up here. You know, Houston, they're not a juggernaut, but they're a good team. San Francisco, if they're still playing for the playoffs, you know, they obviously played great this last week. I want to see this because obviously against the Jets.
You know, you can't, you, you kind of saw this coming. I mean, 365 and two on the road. The Packers? Yeah. Yeah. That's a, that's a good win. That was, that was great. That's the one game. Yeah, I mean, good, good games. He's set up, by the way, to break Drewree's all-time record for completion percentage. He's at 74% on the year. Well, when 80% of your passenger to A. Chan and Johnny Smith, that'll help. Yeah, I mean, is his yard is his yards per attempt down? Because I don't think it is. From like previous years. That's down to 7.4 instead of 8. Okay. Running backs this week, the top five, Zach Charbonnet. Oh my gosh. Eisen Garindo. Rashad White, Josh Jacobs, Kyron Williams. Charbonnet. Yeah. Where has this been since college? I'm just curious because Mike and I loved you coming out of college. You've been.
Slow and plotting. He's only caused me pain. But who ha! No, Ken Walker, who could be back next week, might not. Charbonnet goes 22 for 134, big touchdown run, caught seven passes, got 48% of the team's rushing attempts and targets. And, you know, the way this offensive line works, you know, Charbonnet was very decisive. I will say that. He got the ball and he ran forward. You know, it wasn't a lot of dancing. Very versatile, very powerful, did some things that probably are not in the area where Ken Walker's strengths are. Yeah, that's fine. Tackle breaking. It was impressive. They crushed Arizona. I can't tell you how much I hate the Cardinals. I hate them so much. Isaac Garando 15 for 78 and 2. Jason started the week. Two for 50 through the air. Hopefully that helped a lot of you to have the pat on the butt.
the endorsement of Garindo coming right into that situation and starting for your fantasy team. Hopefully his foot's okay. If it's not, it will be part for the course for the 49ers and for your fantasy teams because a running back that you can count on in San Francisco is an illusion, a ghost, and a mist. It's just you get them for a time and then they're gone. Yeah, but when they're there, if they're there, you plug them in your starting lineup. Josh Jacobs, three more touchdowns against Detroit. Okay, so the last six games, Josh Jacobs has played. He's on pace for 28 rushing touchdowns. That's, I mean, he is when they get around the goal line, which is just so funny because we brought him up. Yeah, a regression, a positive regression candidate because he didn't score on the ground for the first four weeks. But I do feel like he is, he's kind of murdering the passing game. Like I would like it to stop.
personally. I mean, it's a great game. He looks outstanding. It's like Sequin in the Philly situation. It's just like, you know, Jaden Reed is like, can I, can I play two? And Josh Jake was like, nah, I got this. Rashad White did it again. 17 for 90 and one on the ground. Passing touchdown? I mean, Rashad White, we saw this last year. If he's the dude, if he's, you know, he was out there all of the snaps last year, just a complete workhorse back and great for fantasy. I mean, you could have this again this next week against the Chargers. Sean Tucker did not get a lot of work. He was three for 47 in his three touches. Kyron, two more rushing touchdowns. James Connor against Seattle, 18 for 90, also scored. Four for 32 and one. Plays New England at home next week for your fantasy playoffs. Then Carolina. Then the Rams.
So James Connor, three more games. That's all we need from you, James. You can get hurt for the last week because we won't play fantasy then. Yeah, I like that. Let's take week 18 off with like a pinky injury. Bejohn Robinson continues to get it done. Chuba Hubbard was last man standing and is a good running back. So 26 for 92 and 1 against a brutal rushing defense. Yeah, the upcoming weeks, Dallas, Arizona, and Tampa Bay for Chuba, who's completely alone now. I mean, Miles Sanders is gone. Brooks is gone. And I forget the... Blackshear. Yeah. He's gone. So... The pirate. Yeah. Have you any wool? Oh, you... Yeah, I went... Yeah, I went... No, uh, if I... No, bag's full. You got a pick? I gotta pick. I'm gonna go with the wool. Because I didn't see it coming. It was a little bit more difficult. Sorry, Mike. But it was just like... But black shit of the pirate's cool, too. Yeah, no, they were both good. They were both good. That's fine. We'll go with the sheep. Yeah. All right. Have you any wool?
Anyways, he's injured too. So tubas completely alone, at least this week against Dallas this coming week. I mean, that is, I hope you have them in playoffs. Top five wide outs this week, Pooka Nakuwa, 35.8 points, Jordan Addison, 35.3, Justin Jefferson, Juan Jennings, and Tyreek, welcome back to the party. Hey, I remember you? Right. 10 for 115 and 1 for Tyreek. First 100 yard game since week. One. Holy moly. You look like you were about to hold the football. The way that you're posing is like a two-handed, don't fumble. Is practicing? No, I had an itch. Just inch of a bar. Look like a little bit of a. Huh. You're not fumbling. Devante Adams, 9 for 109 and a touchdown. Jalen McMillan. You know who should have had touchdown? Garrett Wilson. Oh my gosh. Mike can't handle it. Dude. Rogers.
Bro. Are you just a 76 yard touchdown that was an easy one, but he ran him out of bounds? Yeah. I mean, I don't know where the ball came down. When I watched it live, I kind of had a little blame on Garrett Wilson as well. There's a little blame on Wilson there for sure. I brought it up to Mike he hadn't. No, he would not accept that. No, because if you watch the play in totality, the margin for touchdown was probably 10 yards wide. Yeah. And he missed it. I will definitely say that any throw, if you put that ball.
just a little bit more in bounds. It is a guaranteed touchdown. But I still felt like watching it. I mean, he didn't make that big an effort to stay in bounds. He's like, I caught the ball. I'm going to get out. It's like there's a good, a big field ahead of you try. He didn't even try. That was my issue. He did not try falling out. The ball took him out of bounds. Anyways, Adams had a good game. Nine for one. O'9 and one. Garrett did have a good game. Uh, Jaley McMillan, four for 59 and two. Um, The question here is not, you know, am I some sort of genius? But really do you care about this? No, I don't care much. It's nice to see the rookie involved and he's still a matchup play. You know, like for instance, this next week, they're going to go on the road and play against the Chargers. We've talked about how the Chargers games have hit the Under a lot. And even though they've opened things up with Herbert a little bit more.
They've got a really good defense. I don't expect that one to be a barn burner. I'm not going to be looking to start Jalen McMillan just on the back of two touchdowns caught four balls. Yeah. It's the same as Rome. Rome O'Don's eight. Which is the same as Tim Patrick. Patrick, I would put at the bottom of it, the bottom of the list of. I'm more talking about like two touchdown outlier performances. Just like if you had to order those three of which ones do I care about, I'd put O'Donzee at the top. But it was still just four catches for Rome. Darnel Mooney. Oh, there you go. Your start of the week. Six for 142. Yeah. Man. Nice to see Jerry Judy getting it done as well. Has an amazing schedule down the stretch. Last year, it was Amari Cooper. This year is going to be Jerry Judy with a backup quarterback in Cleveland winning people championships. As long as James Winston, it's behind center. Now it was not good for James. No. He will be brought up momentarily.
Just 21 fantasy points. I thought he had two. No, he was okay for fantasy. He didn't have like a bust game, but he didn't have, obviously when you throw two picks and you get those minus points, it's difficult. And he's used to, and we are used to those picks scoring touchdowns by the opposing defense. That didn't happen. And that was really sad for me. When I want James throwing picks, I want those picks to be housed. He was 212 and 2, but had three turnovers. Yeah. So that was not, it was not up to expectation is all I mean. Titans. Oh, and Joanne Jennings, you missed him, had another good game. Oh, he looked so good. Seven for 90 and two touchdowns. Debo. Pause. Pause. We're about to talk about poop. Okay. That's where he belongs. And I watched. Oh, I was talking about it. The whole game. It's like you saw, I mean, we're talking about it now. There's no spoil. Debo kept getting the Debo plays.
Yeah, they poured some in his shoes, though. They kept getting the, here's how Debo plays used to work. You get him the ball behind the line of scrimmage. You get blockers out in front. There's one guy who leaks in. Debo basically clowns that guy, throws him off, can't tackle him, and then he goes down, breaks about 12 more tackles. Now here's how it works. They get Debo the ball on the back field. They get blockers down the field. One guy comes in, he tackles Debo very easily. I mean, that just didn't ever used to happen. Now it happens every single time.
All right, we will, we'll talk more about it in a second. I want to talk about big performances studs at the tight end position, which was Kiddle, the Jokku, Jawan Johnson. Hey. Keep your eyes open there. Yeah, man. Although maybe closed them after cars injury. Mike went through the whole cycle with me. Yeah. He's like, oh, yeah. Oh, oh, no. Yeah. And I'm out. Frymuth. He got in one side of the car, scooted across. Grandpa Simpson. He was the grandpa Simpson. Yeah. Pat Fryermuth back in the end zone. You know, if he scores, you're always going to be happy. Welcome to the tight end world. And Johnny Smith. Oh my God. The most ridiculous fantasy game. He is shut.
Out. Full goose regulation. Full goose. He goosed. He had zero points. The game was over. Four quarters full goose. He should not be in the studs. And then overtime was the Johnny Smith drive. And Trey McBride tried to do the same thing. He was gooseing at the half. Seven for 70 for the end of the game. They tried to get him a touchdown again. They tried. I would say 80%. He dropped it. 20%. Kyler missed him. And we're never going to get one. I'm going to call a touchdown guarantee for Trey McBride. Rest of season. I tried it last. Wait, what do you mean he will get one? Yes, I do. Wow. Bold take. He will get one before the end of the year. I'm not going to even tell you what game. Cool, man. But I'm, I guarantee it. Wow. He was going to get one. See, I thought you were going to be somewhat more, you know, courageous and say this next game against New England. I would never. I will. You will? Yeah, done.
Okay, okay, Mr. I'm going to go back there. Um, he is, he is on pace right now. If you remember Deontay Johnson had 142 targets, no touchdowns for Pittsburgh two years ago, that was the record. And Tray McBride is well on his way to, uh, he's, he might be able to do it. So, but if anyone could get that done, it's Kyler. Him finishing in the top, I mean, I just wanted to finish now at this point where we are. Tray McBride will score next week. I want him to just to finish as a top three, maybe even higher with no touchdowns. You're rooting. You want no touchdowns. Yeah. Let's just finish this. It's a small sample, but I'm going to say it because it's hilarious and fun. But Tray McBride is on pace for 232 targets over the last three games. Yeah. This is the segment that. That's how you kill a man just for the record. Like that's literally you, I don't care who you are. I know Trey McBride is big and tough, but you can't.
Well, he needs to reduce his hurdle count. Oh, I agree. I agree. Mr. McBride. Stop it. There's a lot of... Stop it. This is more than McBride. Oh, Drake London had the stupidest hurdle in that game. You know who else did? Three times? Michael Mayer. Listen. He's too heavy to do that. Listen, stop it. Hurdles are supposed to be special and rare. That's what makes them cool. If you try to do it on every play, you're going to die. Didn't dare car... Isn't that how we got hurt? Yeah. The thing that is... Hurtle himself into a girdle. Yeah, the thing that is, like, people need to understand. If you're in the open field and it's a one-on-one tackle time, that's when you hurdle. Yeah. When there's other defensive players nearby. You can't hurtle three dudes. You're just going to... You're slowing down your progress to get squacked if you complete the hurdle. Now, there's always the possibility you're not going to complete the hurdle. The probability. The possibility. The possibility. But my point is, like,
You need to be a little bit more selective because it's a high injury risk play. And I'm pro hurdle. I want a good hurdle. But do it when you can run afterwards, not when it's like, I'm going to, I'm going to hurdle this guy while that guy tackles. Now, Kraft, Tucker Kraft did the right thing because he would have been annihilated by Joseph. That was not really a hurdle. That was avoiding a tackle. That's an escape. All right. We'll take a break. We'll hit the done. Oh. No, I gotta know. We waited that whole ad break. That was a long ad break and before you go, oh. Jason. Did you poop? What'd you find out? I went to bet the Trey McBride touchdown, right? Yeah. It's next week. So you can't bet it. It's not there. Right. There is a player specials. I just clicked that button. I've never clicked that button. It's called the Trey McBridesmaid. And they only have one thing you could bet for the entire game. Trey McBridesmaid.
Bridesmaid 9 plus receptions, but no touchdown. You can bet it. Yeah, I mean, it's great odds, but I'm not, I'm not betting that. All right. Because he's going to score a touchdown. Yeah, I guarantee it. Here we go, Dudd's time. Poopped in his big boy pants. Kurt Cousins. JJ Zacharyason summarized his performances over the last four weeks, 10 points, four points, two points, nine points. Who put Michael Pennix on our wall? Oh, do we really have? We do. Oh, who is that? That's a pro move. Who did this? Kyle must have requested it. Oh, that was the Falcon. The Falcon took care of that. That's a good one. Yeah, Kirk Cousness. I don't want to like, I want to be fair. 344 yards. He sucks. He's done. It's over. You're not winning with him. It's over. $100 million. Over. Wasted. The last month of football, he is on pace.
for zero total passing touchdowns and 34 total interceptions. Now, when he throws zero touchdowns, I'm just curious, Jason. How many touchdowns does Drake London catch in? He gets 100% target share of those touchdowns. Okay, and how many does Mooney score? 100% target share. And pits? He gets all of the touchdowns. Bejan receiving touchdowns. Exactly 100% of nothing. Be very afraid. I'm not, look, 344, cool. So, you know, it's a lot of garbage time in that game too. And that game got out of hand because Kirk Cousins cannot get it down. He can't move in the pocket. Every third throw comes out like my grandmother threw it. Yeah, I mean, she's not alive. For her grandma, she had a rocket. But look, I'm just watching. Raiders this week? Raiders? Can I interest? Is Max Crosby not playing? Because he will sack the crap out of Kirk Cousins. Man. They've lost.
all these games, right? I mean, they have to have four losses in a row. Tampa Bay is at the... Yes, they have. They're leading the division now. I don't know, man. It's just, it's gone. And when it's gone, it's gone. And Mike said it last week. Achilles injuries to quarterbacks that are old. Two and O. Yeah, Achilles, two, quarterbacks, nothing. Jordan Love, this was bad. 12 for 20, 20, 20, 601 on Thursday. Not his fault. That's Josh Jacobs' fault. It's a lot of Jacobs, but... Also the past completions of 12. That's rough. But only throw, I don't know. He only threw the ball 20 times. That's a weird game. They're just too much Josh Jacobs. Let's reel that back. You know, throw the ball a little bit. Patrick Mahomes, 2.10 and 1 in his victory. Patrick, the youth of America are turning on you. Running backs duds. I haven't seen a lot of the shaved side curly tops. No, not anymore. No, it's not cool. We're out.
Josh Allen, Ian. So the thin little weird mustache. Is that what people are going to be doing? I hope not. Growing on the Josh Allen. James Cook, Mike, this was one of the storylines that running back. Yes, it was. Duds of the week, six for 20 in a game where his team scored 44 points. His fewest opportunities since week 15 of 2022, we wondered frequently whether they were, whether he was hurt. But it was more so. When Buffalo is in catch up mode for the very first time this year, as opposed to mustard. Yeah. Ty Johnson was the guy. That was a joke for Falcon. James Cook, though. Is this scary or is this an anomaly? It's an anomaly. I'm not worried. Has to play Detroit in the fantasy playoffs next week. I mean, that's a bad matchup. I don't love that. But I mean, you go back one week and James Cook was awesome, got two touchdowns. So I'm going to.
I'm going to look at him this coming week in Detroit as, you know, probably an RB2, but probably started in most leagues. Jacobs did score three times against Detroit. As did Kenneth Walker, right? Earlier in the season? Yeah, I believe he had three touchdowns earlier in the season. Maybe it was two. And keep in mind. He did. He had three rushing touchdowns. Keep in mind, we've been talking about the last couple weeks. The injuries to Detroit's. defense are monumental. So I'm not looking away from James Cook because of this performance. Which is what people need to hear after a bad week. Isaiah Pacheco, 14 for 55, Kareem Hunt, five for 12. Disappointing, but you need to, this is like a takeaway moment. You had 14 carries for Pacheco to five for Kareem Hunt. 46% of the snaps to 29% of the snaps. Pacheco is now.
a startable player. This was a hard matchup against the Chargers who are one of the best run defenses in the league. Low scoring, divisional matchup, but Pacheco's good to go. He should be started going forward. Nick Chubb? Only 36% of snaps. Jerome Ford was 56% of snaps. That's a problem. You can't play him. Yeah, when they're playing catch up, it's going to be more forward. And then Jalen Warren, 9 for 47. A wide receiver, Jaden Reed, the goose on Thursday night. Alman Ra season low performance of 5 for 43. You don't worry about Alman Ra. To play Jaden Reed at this point after a goose is very difficult to do, but the matchups are good. So, you know, he's going to be better than some other options this week. He really will. Yeah, playing him, if you don't have the right players to get Reed out, this is not a, don't be.
angry and spiteful. I'd be like, are you got me zero points? He's, he is a good player. He's not, he's not a top 12 guy for fantasy football, but he, he should probably be in the majority of lineups. AJ Brown, another disappointing week. We talked about it. If you look at the last six games played, he's on pace for just 76 receptions. I got to go watch this press conference. Yeah. Do you have any fears of like what we saw last year? It was the locker room chat, not the presser. Because. Last season, we saw AJ Brown the first nine weeks. He was the wide receiver one. Yeah, that like stretch of 150s or whatever was. I have massive worries about that. And then the whole second half, the last eight games played last season, he would not have had pace for a thousand yards. And he had one touchdown over the course of eight games. He's not different. He's the same. He's always open. He makes every contested catch. He's not getting the opportunities. I'm very worried about it.
Well, don't worry. And when your quarterback throws for under 200, you're capped. Don't guys, do not worry because it's not working for the Philadelphia Eagles. Oh, I get it. Sarcasa because they keep winning. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, that's why I want to watch the locker room. I want to see the face of a man who's mad that their team has rattled off nine straight victories. Yeah. Sequin. is working. Their defense is great. Why would you change the recipe? They're not interested in AJ Brown's receiving lines. You're big mad? This is going to, this, you can easily see a path where this continues. And it's very difficult, almost impossible to say, to recommend benching AJ Brown. Yeah, you can't bench AJ Brown, but you might not get what you want. I mean, if you have like, like, there are situations where I think you might.
choose to bench. Joanne Jennings. Joanne Jennings was the name that came to mine. Cool, man. I would 100%. I'm not benching Joanne Jennings, who's been awesome. Cortland Sutton. You know, he's a guy that you might have got off of waivers halfway through. You got to play him over AJ Brown right now. You got to rebrand Juan Jennings. Just look at it. Like, it's JJ. Like, oh, I got Justin Jefferson here. Dude, the JJ's rocked this week. Yeah, they did. But Jerry, Judy, Justin Jefferson, Juan Jennings. It was a good strat. Yeah. What's wrong with? D.K. Metcalfe, four for 49 against Arizona, which he can't, but like the last month, wide receiver 32, 37, 41, 42. Well, he's very banged up. I mean, he missed a couple games. He's been playing through injuries. He is also seating. So he's the wide receiver two on his own team. I was going to say, JSN is, is really taking over. JSN's, I believe since the kind of swapparoos. Sounds like a shopping network has happened. Jason's on pace for like.
almost 1,800 receiving yards. Since week four, Debo Samuel is the wide receiver, that is a full bench. That's not a 55 you want. That's a full bench. Yeah, I mean, it should be. He's really been bad. If you look, I mean, since week three, he's had two games, two where he had, not just, he's had two games where he hasn't busted. I mean, we're talking about total fantasy points of 2.5 in a week. of zero in a week of 4.1 in a week of 2.6 to 4.5 this is the regular they run they won going away scored four points let's just let's just and the film backs it up the film is he's not breaking tackles the whole thing that makes debo samuel the now you're a man is like you just can't tackle this guy he's bigger stronger than you now he's slower and heavier now you're old man yeah now your old man
That's how it feels. It's going to be really tough. Maybe he'll have another game this year where he scores a couple touchdowns, but it'll be on my bench. And maybe you, do you landmine him? Oh, man. Do you tempt someone out there to start? By putting him on waiver? Sure. I mean, I would pick him up for my league record. Keenan Allen and Westbrook Aquina returned to Earth. Westbrook of Keeney was so close to having the game would have been winning touchdown. That part I don't remember. I think winning touchdown. But that was. He missed it. And one for 19. And as soon as you return him to the bench, he'll score again. And Marvin Harrison, I mean, if he doesn't score a touchdown, he's averaging 3.7 fancy points a game. That is Marvin Harrison right now. Which, breaking news, that's also most wide receivers. And that's also Michael Wilson. Like, that is not a 22% target share. I don't. For a top.
