Not age. Just like it's like it's an old fashion. It had its time and it doesn't happen anymore. And like to me I hear, oh, he's got mono. Can he play through mono? See, the reason. I'm not educated. The reason I feel like that. You say it feels old because we don't hear about it anymore. The reason is because we're not in high school anymore. Oh, it's like a disease. Yes. Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, it's the kissing disease. It's like, oh, yeah. Oh, it's the kissing disease. It's like, oh, man. It was like, oh, yeah. Neither of you ever.

I did not get it. No, I never had that. That was not an indictment on your high school smooching life. Although it works both ways. Hey, bro, I got a cold sore, all right? Yeah, that's to be proud of. I'm proud of that cold sore. I never had it, but I knew several people who did. Really? And they were knocked out. Yeah, they're like, they're bedridden for weeks because they're so tired. I remember Corey from Boy Means World got mono.

I remember that story. I do not remember that special episode. Yeah. Couldn't smooch to panga, Mike. Oh. All right. So disturbing turn of offense there. Antonio Brown, update on him is basically, we're pretty much in a limbo state. There's a chance, according to Ian Rappaport, that he plays week two. The NFL's not meeting with his accuser until next week. She is meeting voluntarily with the league. She can produce evidence.

You know, the league can make a determination. Now, the league is not subject to any sort of rules and regulations as it pertains to him being criminally accused or anything of that nature. If the league can produce enough... Well, it's a civil suit as well. But if the league can produce enough evidence, it's up to the commissioner to then decide if he belongs on the commissioner's exempt list. This is what happened to Adrian Peterson ahead of his charges with the child abuse case.

and the league can make a determination of conduct detrimental outside of any civil or legal determination. Right. It's up to Roger Goodell. So, you know, there could be a window here where you say Antonio Brown will be on the field for week two. I'm not playing him this week. Okay. So that would be the fantasy question there. Do you play Antonio Brown against Miami? I wouldn't either. I mean, you've got them on your league of record roster, Jason. Yeah. That's been a...

roller coaster ride for you i mean anyone who has Antonio brown's been on a roller coaster ride he's the wizard of oz it's been a circus show is an absolute ridiculous ride but um you know i i do think there's a chance if he does play that he actually has a good game i know it's it's difficult because he's coming into a new system he doesn't know it intimately but at the same time is the dolphins

And he's Antonio Brown. And his quarterback's Tom Brady. What's a little different to me is, like, you can draw parallels to, they traded for Josh Gordon last year. And I was pretty hyped to play Josh Gordon right away. The team actually has options this year. I mean, Dorset has balled out. Julian Edelman is stable. He's not suspended. He's not injured right now. And Gordon is there. I mean, they have players that they don't have to force this issue.

If you want to talk about players difficult to rank, I should have brought the Patriots up in general. Sure. I'm actually having a hard time with all of them this week. We said it on the footcast yesterday. I'm trying to put them all number one, and I just can't do it. Yeah. You kind of look at the matchup. You look at what Vegas has this game at, which is like an 18 and a half point line or something to that extent now. I probably have that in front of me. 19. It's at 19th. I believe it opened it.

15 or 14 and a half. People are taking the points. Even if you win 19 to nothing. There's points to be scored, but you kind of have trouble understanding what the team's going to do with that. And so they're difficult for me to rank. On the footcast yesterday, which is our bonus show, join the foot.com. You can get that show. Mike and I were talking about this. And I basically said, look, I'm the biggest Sony Michelle supporter. There is. I think he's just an incredibly gifted player.

We've had internal debates here with Al Borland and myself. But you saw what he can do in the playoffs. Week one, he had 15 carries but was horribly unproductive. And here's my place with Sony, and this is important. If you have Sonny Michelle, you need to play him this week. I agree. And if Sony Michelle doesn't perform in a game where they're 19-point favorites and they're against Miami, then it puts Sonny Michelle into a very strange category.

Part of being great at fantasy is the predictability of it. I need to, as a fantasy owner, say, I can play Sony Michelle in a plus matchup. I need to know that. And so if he distorts the predictability of himself in fantasy this week, it's going to be a real problem. Now, I think he's a big time start this week. But that, you know, if Rex Burkhead is heavily involved or if Sonny Michelle is tossed to the sideline or unproductive in this matchup, that's when the warning flags are going to go off for me. Sure.

Darius Geis is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks. He's likely to undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus. I saw a report of him visiting Dr. James Andrews. You talk about a fantasy reaper. That guy's got it on me. If you, I've been in the sports world for any length of time, when your player name is associated with Dr. James Andrews, run away. I don't think he plays again this season. I was going to say the same thing.

Adrian Peterson needs to be rostered. I think he can be started in a lot of weeks. This one included, personally. I think you can start him. Do you, I mean, he was a waiver wire grab. And Chris Thompson was also a waiver wire ad. Do you prefer Thompson or Peterson? I think, I think.

It's hard not to answer Thompson in a game against Dallas, but they're at home. They surprised Philadelphia at the top half of that game last week. Adrian Peterson will run with an aged chip on his shoulder after the healthy scratch last week. It's a stale chip at this point. Let me ask you this. He will have 15 carries minimum in this game. Adrian Peterson with 15 carries Chris Thompson with five receptions. Which do you want? If it's only probably Thompson.

Okay. Jason, how do you weigh in there? I know that, you know, vocally... I would rather have Thompson in there because of game script. Even with that, like, it wasn't even a negative game script for Chris Thompson last week, and he's still got a bunch of receptions. It's not that the game script has to be negative for him to be valuable. It's that if the game script is negative, Adrian Peterson's not. Right. So that's why I'm in on Chris Thompson's side.

And Juju Smith, Schuster, James Connor were limited in practice. I expect both to play. James Conner's got an illness, Juju with the toe. You expect Juju to get some rest ahead of the game on Sunday. Yes. Is that a Sunday night game? I can't remember if that's Sunday night or not. Doesn't look like it. No. Okay, good. We got Philly Atlanta for Sunday. Just better for availability. So Darius Geist, though, do people, you've got to drop him if you can't throw him on an IR?

Yeah. I just can't imagine waiting for Darius Geis compared to all these other players you can wait for. I would drop him because if he comes back in six to eight weeks, he's going to not be good for fantasy, just like he was week one. Yeah, yeah, he was not valuable at all. And he got, and Adrian Peterson was inactive. Right. So I think that's about it. AJ Green, out of the walking boot, ran on a treadmill Tuesday. This is a good sign after week one.

Yes, it's a good sign. And I will say the most impressive thing about this to me personally is A.J. Green just having it inside him to run on a treadmill because I would rather not. You are not a fan of treadmills? No. Running on it. Jason. That was a really weird. I'm blown away. I don't really understand it. I don't get it. What is running. Running.

Oh, you just don't like running. Oh, yes. Well, see, he plays wide receiver for the Bengals. I know. And I'm just speaking from my personal experience, running on treadmills is the worst. You're just impressed with him. Yes. No. That's like, that's a man. From my experience, running on pavement is even worse. Than the treadmill? Oh, yeah. Well, it's because you've got to go on the street. Exactly. Yeah.

Don't the Lions feel defeated? Oh, yeah. 24 to 6, fourth quarter lead.

Pretty embarrassing for them from being honest. And my axe. The Lions implied point total in this game is 22. The Chargers 24. It's a 47 point over under. Philip Rivers, Matthew Stanford. You have to imagine with the Philip Rivers, like I don't want to stream him in this game. Not in this one. I don't want to stream him on the road against the Lions in particular, but now without Hunter Henry and Mike Williams.
