Week 4 Waivers & QB Streamers, Fitzmagic

I think the most fab and waiver priorities are going to be spent on Calvin Ridley. They're going to chase that Mondo game. Sure. Do you think it's worthwhile? I mean, what's the, give me a fab amount that you'd spend on Ridley because do you want to really blow a high percentage of your budget on a guy that, look, three touchdowns, I don't care who you are. You're not going to repeat that all year long. I'm not going to go out and break the bank for a guy who's, I mean, 66% of the snaps.

That's right around what he's averaging. Perhaps that goes up. I just don't, I don't foresee it doing that, even with the huge performance. I would spend, you know, 8% or whatever on Calvin Ridley. I'd like to add him. But Tyler Boyd is my number one waiver wire wide receiver pickup of the week. Yes, he is heavily involved. A.J. Green is banged up. Andy Dalton. We're going to talk about him, of course, in the show.

But Andy Dalton and the Bengals have a fantastic run coming up with their matchups. Here's just the next three. The Atlanta Falcons who were absolutely decimated on the defensive side of the ball. Miami, who they've been okay, but they can be beat. And they're at home in that matchup. And then Pittsburgh the next week. I mean, the Bengals, and then there are even more juicy matchups right after that. Tampa Bay is involved. That's.

I want in on the Bengals offense right now. I don't blame you for that. I think the AJ Green, I was going to bring up the fact that the 90% snap count this last week. Yeah, it's because AJ Green missed. Yeah, AJ Green was off the field. But week one, 83% week two, 78. So he's an 80% guy. Absolutely. He is the two and he has like we were talking about for O.J. Howard. I think that Boyd has.

leveled up. He's catching up to the game. He looks great. I would be happy to put him number one if you wanted to take the shot at AJ Green missing this week. Now, we didn't talk about when we were discussing Calloway and Geronimo, we didn't say what percentage fab we would spend on those guys that we're going after. It's pretty simple for me and tell me if you guys disagree. This is, and I've shared this before, but.

With wide receivers, I'm pretty much, my max is 5% of my budget. And you're going to take the scraps? Yeah, I'll take the scraps. I'll put $5 out there. If there's ever a guy like I just, you know, I completely believe something's happened and a full injury ahead of them, then I would change.

that up if I think I can get someone who's going to be great the rest of the year. But because every single week you can pick a guy up off of waivers, start them in your flex, start them as a wide receiver, and you'll be fine. I don't want to blow priority and I don't want to blow a lot of money. I'll just simply put $5 or less bids and I'll order the players in the order I like them versus... Yeah, I put, I don't disagree with that principle. I think this week specifically...

with the 89% of snaps and my confidence in Baker and the Callaway connection. I'd probably put Calloway and Boyd in a separate category of guys that I'd probably spend, I don't know, $8 to $10 of Fab on, and then the rest I'd put in that pile. But I get it. I mean, you have the opportunity. There's a narrative for all these guys to succeed. And we're going to look at Christian Kurt. Seven for 90 last week on the atrocious Cardinals' offense. Larry Fitzgerald has not been involved.

He'll come up, I'm sure, in Stash or Trash today. And then Christian Kirk has the report that we've seen with Josh Rosen, who was named the starter. It's the same thing. Maybe you heard about Josh Rosen in our news segment. The card knows. Christian Kirk is interesting to me for some of the same reasons why Callaway was so interesting at the beginning of the year. The backup quarterback playing with the backup wide receiver, Christian Kirk had to earn his time. And maybe we're chasing a narrative here.

But he looks great. He was productive this past week, and now we get Josh Rosen. So I think Christian Kirk, if you're going with Jason's method, Christian Kirk should absolutely be in that.

list of guys that you'll just put a little bit and hope one of those wide receivers ends up on your team. He'll be low on my list. He will not be high. I'm not going to chase because I think that the ceiling is very low. Even if the rapport is there, maybe your full point PPR and his floor could be high, but you're still got Larry is the number one. The offense is still poor at best. I want to drop some knowledge on you here. Reception percentage in the 2018 season. So this is

Targets to receptions. By far, the number one is Michael Thomas. Oh, it's unfathomable. He has caught 38 to 40 targets. That's targets. That's not just, now obviously Drew Brees. I mean, puts it on him. But he's great. Number two in the NFL, Ryan Grant, 86% of targets. Number three, Deshaun Jackson. Number four, Emmanuel Sanders. And know who's tied for number five? Christian Kirk.

12 of 15 targets. He's got them sticky hands. I loved Christian Kirk coming out of college and draft season. It went Cortland Sutton, Christian Kirk, on my own personal pre-draft rankings. But I do think for fantasy this season, I just think his ceiling is capped. But, you know, PPR leagues, I like him a whole lot more. Yes. For what it's worth, the worst three in the league right now on receptions to targets. Dante Moncrief, 41%. Yeah.

Kelvin Benjamin. Oh, that makes sense. 40%. That makes sense. And dead last, believe it or not, Cortland Sutton. Oh, wow. Come on, Sutton. 35%. I don't play it's downfield targets. I mean, all, you know. And one of those was actually a reception for a touchdown. Fair. Fair. What about the Jordid one?

Did you just call him the jorted one? I did. As in he's wearing jorts? Yes. Jorchy Nelson, who came back to life in week three, had a sensational performance. I feel like Jorts and his quads would not meet in a good place. I think that would be like that greeting card that you've seen a lot with the guy with the really tight jeans. You've seen that little clip? I don't recommend Googling it. You're on an island over there, man. I mean, you can look it up.

You've seen it before. Hold on. What am I looking up? We'll just move on. Yeah. I think that might be all you need. Okay. Jordie will definitely be picked up wherever he was dropped. First image. I don't want to play the game that I think is going to happen with Amari Cooper and Jordy Nelson. I don't want, I expected that it's going to be hard to predict, hard to get right, and as many times as you start a good player, you're going to start someone that causes a loss. However, there is the chance here that Jordy takes over.

and becomes the Michael Crabtree. He looked great. We had mentioned how his game speed from last year was not, surprisingly, was not below average. He was still well above average. He was as fast as he ever was, so it didn't appear from next-gen stats that he had lost a step, and clearly this last week he hadn't. So if you want to take the shot to see if maybe he becomes consistent, I'm fine with it. I...

I want one more deeper league name at the wide receiver position because some of these guys, look, Mike Williams is owned in a lot of leagues. That's somebody that you can't target. You can't go after. Do you have any interest in? I got one. What's the deeper league name? Albert Wilson is one of those guys that's a...

a home run shot, a weekly, look, you know, he doesn't get enough volume to be someone that should be rostered week in and week out. But if you're dealing with injuries, other guys get picked up and you're like, I want that glory play. Albert Wilson has been used in so many different ways. He's thrown a touchdown. He's rushed a touchdown. He's caught a touchdown. You know, you're always a 70-yard touchdown away from an Albert Wilson play. And so I would be in a deep league you want to pick up. He's the number 18 wide out right now.

He went, boom, and in points per high five during touchdown runs, he's at the top of the charts. Yeah, him and Tyreek. You got anybody, Mike? You got a deep league guy? I mean, you could bring up Ryan Grant, only 4% owned. Well, you can't now. Yeah. That's, I was going to. That's mine. Albert Wilson, Ryan Grant's were the guys to talk about if you're in a deeper league. But I'm not super interested in Ryan Grant.

I'm not either. How about, I mean, I don't know, maybe he's, no, he's not too owned. But Taylor Gabriel is another name where the volume. Want more of that Trubisky passing offense, Jason? No, no. But I mean, look, if we're looking really, really deep and trying to find someone that is completely unowned, his target counts have been good. And he has the speed to break something off.

Albert Wilson category because they do run them on into rounds and things like that. When I was looking up stats this morning on Ryan Fitzpatrick in the touchdown totals, you know, Mahomes is throwing a touchdown every seven points, something passes. Tribisky is one every 40. Trisky's. That seems. He's trouble. He's bad. All right. Running back waiver wire. Let's talk about, you know, it's a weird week. It really is, especially at the running back position because

You're looking at a bunch of players that, you know, these guys are probably owned, Belal Powell, Austin, Eckler, Alfred Morris, Aaron Jones. They probably aren't available in your league. I mean, that's the facts. But if they are, those are names that you should look at, including T.J. Yeldon, who was a little banged up, but Leonard Fornett is always one moment from the bench. But the main pickups this week, you're looking at Givorius Allen. You're looking at Givorius Allen. That's really, yeah. I mean, they're just, we could not find.

significant value at the running back position this week. And if, you know, I'd be targeting Aaron Jones if for some reason he's available because I think he'll become something in a couple weeks. But guys, this is, it's a thin, sad world. Here's what's available on the waivers. If you're in a half point or a full point PPR league, you grab the guys that receive, you know, the third down backs, the scat backs that can go into your lineup and get you.

hopefully 10 points on the back of six receptions. Those guys would be like a Thai Montgomery, a Naim Hines, Darren Sproles, if he is healthy. Those are your best bets this week. If you're like, crap, Christian McCaffrey's on by. I'm dealing with an injury to my other running back, and I have to find someone to start. I have to have someone this week on waivers.

then you're looking at a pass catching back, and hopefully you can get enough points out of them. Do you go after Chris Ivory in case LaShaul McCoy misses? Because he was heavily involved. 20 carries, obviously the game script was in his favor, but 6% owned. I mean, you can sign Chris Ivory if you want him. Yeah, I definitely do. I expect Shady to be back, but if he's out, you've got a starting running back. So Chris Ivory would, you know, look, if you're in that position, I just described.

I would much rather go after Chris Ivory first because Naim Hines, Ty Montgomery, Darren Sprouls, when your waivers are done running, those three, they very well might still be sitting there. To high, I mean, today's show should highlight. I mean, there's 10 to 15 wide receiver names. There's, there's one. There's one not owned name in Javory's Allen, Buck Allen.

I mean, that should highlight why we prioritize. It's not just... Which, why is he still unowned? Nobody wants Buck Allen. Come on. Not even Harbaugh. No. He just, he's tried so hard to have a healthy Kenneth Dixon and he can't do it. I know. Yeah, that's true. I mean, he signed Danny Woodhead last year. I mean, Givorius Allen, it's... He's the new Dept Chart Assassin. He doesn't get great volume.

But he is involved in only two ways and the two most valuable ways for a running back to be involved. The goal line and the pass catching. He has a picture of James White in his mirror. I mean, in the corner of his mirror. That is the comp. Yeah, that's fair. He's reliable enough for that team. All right. Let's talk tight ends. Who are you targeting? Because look, if you can find a way to get David and Joku. I think it's going to be very interesting with Baker Mayfield. Yep. But he is zoned in.
