Week 11 Matchups + In-or-Out, Magic Eye Jealousy

I get to go him or Carson Wince with maybe no Alshan against the Patriots. I can't do it. I love this. The biggest question in this game is Ronald Jones because the Saints are a great rushdie. They're number three. They're only giving up 14.6 fantasy points per week. But Ronald Jones is really kind of broken out. He's been given the role. He's looked good. They're wanting to get him involved in passing. And I think people who have them have started him, have relied on him. What do you do?

If he's on your roster. Yeah, I mean, I'm playing him over a guy like Kalim Blage, and I'm looking at the situation like Ronald Jones is not going to win me my week, but he's going to get me volume and opportunity. So I'm, he's in my lineup. He looks like he's our consensus RB21. So you're looking at low-in-two, high-in-three type of numbers. Ronald Jones. I'm playing with confidence. Or Sony-Michel, who's been very disappointing against Philly. I probably like Ronald. Ronald. I would as well. Because I believe Ariens. I believe that he's going to continue to.

Give him targets. What he does with them? He'll never know. All right. Last one. Ronald Jones or David Montgomery. Ronald Jones. Yeah. Cardinals at 3-6 and 1 take on the 8-1 49ers. This one's in San Francisco. The Cardinals took them to the brink two weeks ago. You do have the injury concerns on the 49ers side. George Kittle had a monster game against Arizona. We don't expect him to be back out there. Emmanuel Sanders may not be out there. It's interesting. The 49ers are...

Very heavy favorites. Ten and a half points. It's a 44.5 point over under. I like the Cardinals to cover that, but Jimmy Garoppolo had his greatest game as a professional against Arizona in week nine. So are you expecting more of the same at home in this one? I definitely think you can start Jimmy Garoppolo. Arizona, even after it's gotten Patrick Peterson back, has been bad. So they were bad before it and they're bad afterwards as far as stopping, you know, the passing positions that matter. They're literally.

the worst against quarterback in the league. And so I would say if you're out there in our league and you've got Jimmy Garoppolo, please drop Jimmy Garoppolo. I can see a theme. You're really looking. I just don't want to play Phillip Rivers. Do you want to play Rivers or Kyler? Kyler Murray? Yeah. That's a great question. I think I would.

Is Kyler? Yes, he came out with the good game. If you do look at the old box score, like, oh, 240 and 2. I think I would go Rivers. But there was the 80-yard touchdown to Andy Isabella. Yeah, 49ers' defense is so good. It's going to be a, you know, intimidating atmosphere for Kyler Murray. I've pivoted, like, in our listener league, I'm going Kyle Allen over Kyler Murray this week. Kyle Murray and Carson Wentz are two of the most.

difficult starts of the week. If you're looking at them and you're like, I guess I'm going to, I have to play them, but I'm looking to pivot. I play Derek Carr over Kyler. I would love to play Derek Carr. If you have Derek Carr, please. In five quarters, because remember, the overtime game with the Seahawks and the 49ers went the maximum time. So in five quarters, essentially, Russell Wilson put up 232 passing yards and won.

Passing touch. Yeah. What the 49ers proved, even in their loss, is that their defense is unbelievable. It is fully legit. That defensive line with Bosa is going to get after Kyler Murray. And so, yeah, I, you know, I would prefer to not play Kyler Murray. That extends a little bit to, definitely to Larry Fitzgerald. I know he had a good bounceback game last week, but that was, I mean, you're talking about.

A world of difference going from the Tampa Bay secondary to the 49er secondary. I cut Larry Fitzgerald for Russell Gage. Yeah, I don't blame you. So that's where I'm out with Larry and the schedule and where you're at. And then Christian Kirk had the monster game. He's a big decision. Would you rather start Christian Kirk or Debo Samuel? Let's say Emmanuel Sanders is going to be active because I think he will be active, but he's dealing with the ribbon. I have Kirk ranked higher, but honestly, I think I'd rather start Debo. Debo or Tyler Boyd.

Debo. Debo or Mike Williams against Kansas City? Mm, oof. Mike Williams. I'll go Williams. Debo or Devonte Parker? Debo. Debo. Okay. Debo or Marvin Jones against Dallas. If he doesn't have Stafford, I would go Debo. Marvin. I think there is a real opportunity for a reprise for Debo Samuel this week. Agreed. At the running back position, you can't have very much confidence on the Cardinal side, but Kenyon Drake would be the one to start if you had to. Caleb Belage. Kill them the last time. Caleb Belage or Kenyon Drake.

Where do you go there? Drake? Yeah, I would trust the offense of Arizona over the offense of the dolphins. And then on the other side, Tevin Coleman, Rahim Mostert, Mike's start of the week. I almost want to call it Mike's sneaky start of the week with Rahim Mostert. But the number four most-ask-starts-it question on the site is Tevin-Colman versus Brian Hill. Lots of Brian Hill decisions to be made because you go out, you compete, you waver wire him, you fab him. But then you have to look at your lineup and say,

Am I going to put Brian Hill against Carolina in or am I going to play Tevin Coleman against Arizona? Where do you lean on that one? Yeah, Tevin Coleman was terrible against Arizona two weeks ago. He was the running back 41. And I think that's sticking with people and it shouldn't. Arizona is not great against running backs or players. And so Tevin Coleman is a very good start this week. I'm not scared. I mean, he was, you know, I know he hasn't been what.

You hoped after that Carolina game when he was just unbelievable. But he's still been solid. And with Breed out, I think Coleman is going to be relied on even more. I think Hill's floor is safer, though. Yeah, yeah. Patriots 8 and 1 take on the 5 and 4 Eagles. Patriots are 3.5 point favorites in Philly. It's a 45 point over under. You know, if you named three or four of the most confusing teams in football, Philadelphia would be in that category for me.

Some weeks they look together. Some weeks they look like they are a playoff team. In other weeks, they kind of look like they can't figure out the offensive side of the ball. They don't have the weapons. They don't have the game plan, execution. They're like the football equivalent of a magic eye puzzle, the magic eye picture. You know where you have to cross. Like the old 90s where it's just, it's garbily goof, but then you cross your eyes just right. You're like, oh, it's a scooter. I have never seen one.

Oh. I have never. I tried. I'm sorry. I got a book. I looked at every page. You did the whole like, get up clothes, pull it back. There was a day I had to spend two or three hours. I'm like, I will. I will see. And then I'm like, they're all lying. They're all lying. There is nothing here. They're all pretending to see something. And I'm not going to lie. I'm going to be honest. All the cool kids are walking around the campus. Like, that's a boat. That's a tree. Right. And you're like, I'm like, I'm like, that's garbledy. Oh, that's, uh, that's a, that's the Mona Lisa.

So you're saying occasionally you have to cross your eyes in order to see. Right. It's there. But then you get people like Jason. They've never seen it. It's not there. It's not going to be very easy to start Eagles players in this game. Correct. Howard. Sanders could be somewhat sneaky. I try to avoid anybody that is in the vicinity of the cornerbacks in New England. So.

I think Dallas Goddard is somewhat interesting in this matchup. It's not like Philadelphia is not going to do anything whatsoever on offense. And he has the same number of red zone receptions as Zach Ertz this year. He's got, he played a season high, 79% of snaps in week nine. I think one of you guys brought him up early in the week.

I do think with Alshan, the injury, Goddard is going to have to be utilized as the pass-catching option. I'd rather go up against the linebackers than I would the corner. Yeah, and if Al-Shon is gone, I mean, we've talked about this for years. New England always takes away your number one option. That becomes Zach Ertz, and they will scheme to wear. Yeah, I won't be surprised if Gilmore shatters. Shatters? Shatters? Both. They're both true. He's going to shatter Zachert. But Gilmore will probably shadow Ertz if Al-Shon is out.

And that, I'm still playing Ertz, so don't hear I'm benching Ertz. You're just, that would be unfortunate. I'm so sad. Both teams coming off the buy. We've talked about Sonny Michelle. He's had a very magic eye type of year. Four weeks inside the top 20. Two weeks is the RB3. Three weeks outside the top 40. If he scores, he's good. That's fair. But you made a decision earlier that you were going to go with past catching opportunities for Ronald Jones over Sony Michelle. Yes.

James White leads all running backs and red zone targets and receptions. James White are RB 23 by consensus this week. Mohammed Sanoos, you must start. Yes, yes. Against the Eagle secondary 25th against fantasy wide receivers. They traded the second round pick for him. And much like Antonio Brown, when they picked him up, they said, okay, you're a big part of what we're doing. Right. And for that one game, it would.

We've seen the same thing with Muhammad Sanoo. The second game with the team, 10 receptions on 14 targets. He was, he's the guy behind Edel. When is, when is Nikiel Harry, is he act? Yeah, he's ready, right? He could have played this, this past week. Yeah, I wonder if he gets in this game. This would be a nice matchup to, I mean, I'm not playing him. I'm just wondering. To watch him. More for, you know, does, does that end up siphoning anything away from Muhammad Sano? What about Phil Dorset? He's been okay this year. If you're desperate.

And the Philly defense has been beaten, you know, in the secondary. Yeah, I'm not touching anybody outside of the top two myself. Edelman and Sunu. Yeah. And then I don't know whether Harry's going to be out there, Myers or, you know, Dorset. So I mean, you look at what Dorset has done. He had a couple of, I mean, week one was huge. So that's still, I think, skewing your thought process with Dorset, but it's two receptions, three, three, the injury game. He just gets a lot of touchdowns. Around the end zone, he's been utilized.

Yeah, it'll take the big play. Yeah, it will. Bengals, 0 and 9, Raiders, 5 and 4, the games in Oakland. Raiders are 10.5 point favorites. It's a 48.5 point over under. Derek Carr is my start of the week at the quarterback position, and the three of us have them at QB8 on the week in our consensus rankings on the site.

I feel like we could be like Derek Carr is my start of the week at the quarterback position, Josh Jacobs, start of the week at the running back position, Darren Waller. I mean, I love. Tyrell Williams? Absolutely. I mean, I absolutely love the Raiders in this matchup. I think they're going to be able to do whatever they want. Hopefully it is through the air early because I assume the end of the game is going to be Josh Jacobs killing the clock against the hapless Ryan Finley-led Bengals. Josh Jay, I'm sorry.

Darren Waller, Mike, is this a important game in your mind for Darren Waller? Yeah, and this is really the get right matchup. I mean, the past couple weeks, Waller 3 for 42 for 52, 2 for 11. He did score in that game, so it ended up being okay for fantasy. But the volume the past couple weeks has evaporated, unfortunately. But against this Bengals team, we've seen Mark Andrews.

just crush them twice already this season. I think Darren Waller gets back in the good graces. Joe Mixen, Jason started the week at the running back position. We know the volume is going to be there regardless of the score. Tyler Boyd left injured last week. He kind of is guaranteed the five, you know, the five for 48, six for 60 type of line. But you're in a, Mike looked up on our wall here.

and saw the matchup preview. And on one side he's Joe Mixed. We always have the players up, you know, to look at this. Look at this. And it's Joe Mixed. So now we got to hit the drop. And now it's a full on wall room. Bajoo. Bang up job there, Al Borland. That is awesome. Well, that gives you a little bit of optimism in the game, right? Yeah, I mean, look.

I talk about the Raiders. Those are some slow routes, though, when the actual walrus is out there. That mustache. He curls all of his outroutes, too. There's no way that guy can... You can't turn on a dime as a walrus. Now, do the... The lady walrus, they're into the mustache? The lady walrus. They can't really... They're walruses, Mike, so they can't really trim it up. I understand that, but it's like a lion's mane. You know, the animals in the wild...

Their appearance helps them later on with reproduction. Okay. Is the mustache it? Is that the thing? I've never thought about it. I really have. You have now. And so is the rest of America. In the water, a walrus can move as fast as 21.74 miles per hour. That's, a walrus? That's like Derek Henry up the sideline. Yeah. That's about where you're at. Let's race them. Get a, get a hundred yard tank of water. What about on land? What about on land? Nah.

Not so fast. Okay. How did this deteriorate? Sorry. So getting back to fantasy, I talk about I love all of the... We're living in a fantasy. I love all of the Raiders because of how bad the Bengals defense has been. The truth is the Raiders defense for fantasy purposes has been worse than the Bengals. So that gives you a little bit of hope. That's why, you know, mixing my start of the week. The problem is I just don't know if you can rely. It's like bad defense versus terrible quarterback.
