Were the Eagles, did they end up busing in for the game? So Jalen Hertz came down with an illness. Apparently, yeah, it was pretty severe. It was not COVID, but he took himself and the rest of the Eagles out of this lineup. So.

Joe Flacco got the start and had his life tried to be taken from him on a tackle from behind. Here's my biggest takeaway. If you are into DFS in the preseason, plug in Ramandre Stevenson for the preseason games. Yeah, Damien Harris had a score at the end of that turnover drive. And then.

You know, Devonta Smith played, and our injury expert, Matthew Betts, said that there was nothing that he thought was alarming about, you know, the, I guess the injury or anything he saw in his gate. To me, super small sample, of course. That's what the preseason is, but he looked already like he's the best wide receiver on the team. Pick the right team to go to look the best. Mark Andrews scared some people yesterday. There was news about him.

You know, being carted off the field and then an ambulance showing up, but apparently it was a severe bout of cramping. It was very humid where they were practicing. You don't, you know, you hear these stories about overheating a lot with, like, high school athletes or college athletes. You know, the NFL has a pretty relaxed practice schedule, but Mark Andrews dealt with some of that. I guess he's, I guess he's fine. That's great. It was. That was a little jarring to come into that Twitter feed.

Yeah, Jason avoided all the fear part of it because he was not in the office at that moment and that probably having just traded for him in our dynasty. If I had heard, I didn't hear the news about the ambulance and the carting off until after it came out that he was okay. Your story was just, oh, hey, Mark Andrews is okay. Right. I was like, what was wrong with Mark Andrews? But if I was, oh man, I would not have been here for today's show. Did it give you a sneak peek at like?

The level of tilt that we opt into every year, though, with injuries and fantasy football. Yeah, why do we do this? Every year we're destroyed. DeAndre Swift returned to practice on Thursday. He had been out a couple weeks with a groin injury. So I imagine he's going to emerge from groin index.com. Oh, yeah, he will be a graduate groin index.com. Yeah, you graduate. Ooh, I like that. He graduated with a degree in healthy groin.

And the nice thing is he went right into a heavy workload. Everything seemed fine. So I think they really were careful with this one, tried to make sure that they didn't rush him back. And it gives me a little bit more confidence in Swift going forward. AJ Brown hasn't been participating in joint practices. Not a disclosed injury, but he hasn't been out there, which is interesting. You got to keep your eyes on that. And Cortland Sutton.

He said he will play in one of the remaining preseason games. Okay. His quote was, we're still talking about it. So, okay. You're running out of time to talk about it. I was yelling. And I'm running out of confidence. Yep. I was doing my best job to yell and scream over text to Matthew Betts, our injury expert. I wanted, I demanded answers about this recovery timeline. Because I feel like, yes.

You know, he's back. He's practicing. He's playing. They're saying he's going to hopefully play in one of the preseason games. But it is very concerning to me because there's not just a physical problem. There's the mental problem when it comes to recovering from an injury like this. Are you confident in the knee? And I know that there was a beat reporter who was sharing about how there was a great opportunity for a deep ball.

really nice ball by Locke, and then Coyland Sutton couldn't run under it and just didn't. And then Tim Patrick kind of took him aside and said, you know, you'll get there. And that's good. I, you know, he will, but he's not there right now. And that's concerning. And how would you feel right now with, you know, if a Marty Cooper was coming off of a severe knee injury and you have waiting in the wings, C.D. Lamb, well, in Denver, you have a very.

You know, a solid rookie season from a player that didn't have a lot of catchable passes in Jerry Judy. So there is, you know, there's the chance that during that acclamation or reacclamation to the field that Judy grabs a hold of kind of an alpha role there, isn't there? There is. It's one of the most difficult situations for me when it comes to my rankings because I was.

pretty bullish on Cortland Sutton earlier. And now it's a question because if he gets better and becomes the one at the end of the year, that's at the expense of Judy. If Judy steps up and takes over the one, it's at the expense of Sutton. And so at the end of this year, we'll look back and say, it was Tim Patrick again. You know what? You're probably right. Tim Patrick doesn't have an exciting enough name. It seems like Hamler might be in front of Tim Patrick. I like Hamler too. Man, get this team quarterback. Yes.

Yes, as long as they deliver like Travis, Kelsey, Alan Robinson, and Carson Palmer, you're fine. Should I go first? Who should go first here? You're up, Dad. Let's go. Let's have it. Well, because it's age before beauty. That's right. So my first, my guy. And we put, this was fun this year. We had a lot of fun on socials.

We were trying to see if people could guess them, which was revealing in and of itself, right? Like of players that, you know, the Foot Clan, the listenership associate us with. And you listen to the show. It's very clear because you were spot on on a number of players. And so this was the most common one that was guest for myself. It's also, I'm sure, a guest for Jason often. We are both all in on the value of your first mic. Let's have it.

It's Tom Riddle. Tom Brady himself is my first my guy this year. You have an extensive Tom Brady resume to look back on. It's not a small sample. No, no, it isn't. But, you know, the story last year, this was a team that, you know, they won the Super Bowl, but you forget how much of a struggle it was over the first half of the year. They were seven and five going into the week 13 by.

And Tom Brady whipped this team into shape. I mean, they averaged 33.8 points per game for the next eight games, won the Super Bowl. They just took a huge step forward. It was everything that, you know, getting rid of James Winston and bringing in Tom Brady could have been for the team. And age is just a number. I set it on the Tips and Tricks Show.
