Fantasy Football 2017 - Week 5 Keep/Trade/Cut & Pump the Brakes

Unddoing that makes my team better. If you want to do something like this, why are you making a big deal out of it? I mean, just trade the players. You got a cloak and dagger this. And then the next week, make another trade. But here's the reality. But people get real maddened. They probably couldn't do it because it probably is an unethical trade. We don't have the exact trade down. But my guess is they had to explain why this trade is okay because next week we're going to undo it or whatever.

In which case that would be wrong. He just said Matthew Stafford for one week for Frank Gore. Somebody needs Stafford this week. Which is a fine trade. Yeah, that trade is fair. Can I ask you guys a question? Yes, Brooks. Yes, Judge. Would you do you just avoid anything like this in general just because it's messy? Yeah. What if one of those players gets injured the first week? Exactly. Then you are stuck with them. Mike said it best with his very eloquent summation.

It stinks. It just doesn't smell right. So, Judge, are you on that side? Can you bang that gavel? Can you declare this trade ethical or unethical? Unethical. What you heard there was completely authentic gavel banging. This is not pre-recorded. We didn't go to a special effects studio for this. Somebody, a Foot Clan member, sent Judge Diomati an engraved gavel. And he has it now.

And he looked very uncomfortable using it. That was his first time. I wasn't right. Let me get, let me get another shot. Here we go. There we go. Is it gabble bang normally triple? It's got to be three. It's got three things. One more time. You're failing left, right and center here. I'm a real judge. I'm a real judge. Yay. We did. Now we can rule. And while while it stinks, I would allow it. You're saying, wow. You're saying you wouldn't veto it because.

It's not inherently collusion if both teams are getting better. It stinks and you would look at both trades. You would look at the trade independent of itself. So the first trade happens. But here's the thing because I've heard of it. It cannot be a typed up contingency. Yes, it can't be. You cannot do that this is the thing. You cannot say this is a two-week trade. You can't, that's collusion. But you where you're saying, okay, if this guy gets injured, I still get him back. Yep. No, no, no, no, no. And here's the thing is the trade itself is fair.

And I've heard of people doing this for it just, like the trade is very, very lopsided. And while I don't veto trades, like knowing that this is a rental for a very unbalanced trade to start with. You're like, that's. Yeah, because I might try and put a stink up about that. But this is Stafford for Gore. Okay. And they're both going to use the players as opposed to there might be another scenario where.

Stafford's the second quarterback, so you send Stafford for nothing just to get him back the next week, basically. That would be a problem. All right, let's go to a voicemail question. I trust him more than I trust Dalton. They both have difficult matchups. So go with the more talented guy. I'm actually going to take Dalton. Yeah, yeah, I am. Dalton's on a roll right now. Since Bill Laser came along, he's been fine. And I don't know what Buffalo is entirely. I don't, you know.

This week. Man, that's a tough one. But Jacksonville can be run on by Love Bell. Yeah. And this week will be, it's going to be Antonio Brown versus Jalen Ramsey. And Jalen Ramsey is right now the best cornerback in the league. Best wide receiver against best cornerback is going to be great match. That's going to be a great matchup. I have Antonio Brown. And I'm not happy. He's playing. I need to freaking win. Well, then you can, you can lean on Winston. Yeah. At least I still have my fab.

All right. Jesse and Akron says Andrew Luck has a horrible schedule after week nine. Will he be the top five to seven lock QB we have seen for the rest of the season? Love the podcast, UDK, and we'll be getting the DFS. Oh, you guys are my FF ball heroes. Here's the thing about Andrew Luck. He's like Aaron Rogers. You don't give a crap what the schedule says. If Tom Brady's.

Facing the toughest pass. If Tom Brady's going into Seattle, you go, yeah? So what? Who cares? Because that's what you believe about their talent. If you look, we talked about this at the end of last year. Andrew Luck, he's matchup proof. He's game script proof. All of those things have proved over his career to be the case. So yes, I believe he is a 5 to 7 lock, if not better. If he's back, if he's healthy, this team's going to need him. The defense cannot do it.

and he's getting Ryan Kelly back. Yeah. All right. Kyle Rudolph or Ben Watson. Oh, I'm sorry. This is a cut question from Chris in Missouri. Does he drop Kyle Rudolph for Ben Watson or Cameron Bray? Sure. I think that all three of those guys you just mentioned are weekly streaming options. None of those guys are worth rostering two tight ends. Old busted. So you need to roll with.

whoever you like the matchup best this week roll with that human being on your on your lineup and and i would usually when i am streaming i'm going to also take into account maybe the second week and you know if if there's multiple with good two weeks in a row then i'll look at the third week um to kind of factor that in because if it's close and then the next week one of those guys is playing cleveland i'll go with that i assume that this week it's camera brate for you

I will say no, I would not do that trade. But if I was, you know, this is still a little team dependent. If you need a wide receiver, if you're winning right now, I think winning teams should be targeting, too, I hope. Also, if you're, if you want to do this trade, Jason mentioned it earlier, make sure you get a running back.

in return. Don't just do this one for one. Ajai has more value than Hilton right now, despite the two bad weeks. Ajai to me is a complete hold. I think if you're trading him, we're not going to get the value for him that he... I'm concerned. I'm concerned. I have a dream last night that he finished as like the 82nd running back. So that's not helping my case, but I do think Ajai, he's been getting used and he's the clear number one guy and he looks fine when he gets the ball. It hasn't worked out yet.

But it didn't work out so many times last year. And that's why I'm concerned. That's why you're concerned? Yeah. Just the, he doesn't have this huge history of overwhelming success. I mean, he had three absolute monster games and a couple of finals, but some very, very bad games. And we're off to a.

Poor start. The injury to his knee is being being talked about far more this year. Offense has to get fixed. The offense is completely broken. They're pulling him off the field for third down despite the offseason fluff pieces that JJ is going to catch 2,000 passes. Just saying I have 3,000 actually. I was a little bit low. Yeah, you're a little low. I have some growing, growing concerns for JJ. Some bubbling concerns. Yeah. Like a stew. Like a beef.
