Week 11 Waivers + Full Stream Ahead, Deeeeeebo! - Fantasy Football Podcast for 11/16

The Broncos, two good defenses, like passing defenses. You usually run on those teams don't pass that well. Two top five fantasy producing weeks, he's been great, but both of them were hyper-efficient. Only six targets each game. He's not one of those guys on pace for 100 receptions, you know, PPR machine. Scored both weeks, obviously. The weeks before were not great. 90th.

at the wide receiver position against Detroit, which is a smash matchup. You expected him to be great in. Same with Tampa Bay, a smash matchup for the passing game. You expect him to be great. He was, you know, he was 4.1 fantasy points that week. His usage is extremely good. You know, over the last month, he's seeing 28% of the targets. No, we have a small pie.

Small passing pie situation going on in Philadelphia, but at least he is the main guy. His share of the air yards, you know, hitting on those big plays, it's very high over the last month. Like pro football focus, if you like their numbers, he is their highest graded wide receiver over the last month. He is playing extremely well.

And, I mean, it's... Nice playoff schedule. Yes, in a very... Yeah, we highlighted the Eagles playoff schedule a few times because Washington twice. Is that what's in there? So he is a very interesting player moving forward. I'm not sure that this is like fire on... He's locked in as a top 12 option every single week. The variance for him because of the small pie and being a rookie, the variance is wide receiver 90 on the week. But...

Not many guys can hit a back-to-back top five weeks, so I'll call this fire. Yeah, I'm fire on this as well. Fire in the sense that not, obviously not that he's going to be, you know, a top five guy on a weekly basis, but fire that he's in my lineup. Fire that he should be started in just about every matchup unless you've got unbelievable stud wide receivers. Great, but in a...

General lineup, the average team, I think DeVontes Smith should be started rest of season. He's on a 17-game pace of over 1,000 receiving yards as a rookie. And you usually see those rookie wide receivers who are good better the second half of the year. So I'm in, I believe it. Yeah, I'm with you. I actually don't see him and Jamar Chase very different in the connection between the quarterback and the wide receiver, where, you know, the big plays down the field, that's Devante Smith.

Around the end zone, he's been looking to Devante Smith on these targets. They haven't always connected, but, you know, we say this. A quarterback, part of the getting better as a real-life quarterback for Jalen Hertz has been looking to Devante Smith to make a play and not Jalen Rager and not Kwez Watkins. Jalen. And not Dallas Goddard even. I know this is the Devante Smith section of the show, but.

Holy crap. How disappointing is Jalen Rager? Well, at least they couldn't. I mean, they, oh, wait, they could have just drafted Justin Jefferson. No. Oh, yeah, they did. They passed on Jefferson. Yes, they went to the very next. That was meant to be a joke. I stumbled through it. But yeah, they could have taken Justin Jefferson. Yeah, that one doesn't feel good. Can we zoom up on Mike's reaction face? Yeah, that's, oh my gosh. But I saw the video when they drafted Rager. There's a lot of high five. Yeah.

That's a fireable offense. I liked Rager. I'm surprised. So did the Eagles. Oh, sure. So do the Eagles. I'm surprised at how meaningless he has been for them. And it really does feel saddest thing you can say about someone. Yeah. I mean, he's not a needle mover. He has not helped this franchise at all. And he's had enough time to really show his stuff. He's a serviceable wide receiver three for an NFL team that should have a contract. But like.

You don't care about those guys. So just to be clear, Trager over Rager. Oh, yeah. Oh, goodness. Trager's A-plus. All right. Elijah Moore, Smoke Fire. This one's tough. I think, yeah, it is. When you look at him compared to, because he finished number one overall against Indy, 19 last week, had the late touchdown. Only three for 44. It was garbage. But, you know, you look at the numbers for the aforementioned Devante Smith, 12 targets, nine catches, three touchdowns.

You go look at Elijah Moore in the last two weeks. It's 14 targets. It's 10 catches. It's three touchdowns. So I want to say smoke. So if either of you are fired, you need to convince me because it's about predictability and the offense confidence at the quarterback position, transitioning quarterback. But at the same time, that's a lot of targets. And that's a lot of action for a player that is.

that flashed in preseason. You got four weeks inside the top 36 in a row. Like maybe they're just scheming more targets his way. He started the season a little bit banged up. They waited until after the buy. He's been more involved. Like you said, four weeks top 36 at wide receiver. He is getting targeted on 23% of his routes run, which is a really good predictable number. And he is very talented. Elijah Moore is one of those.

you know, burst players with that quick twitch where he can get the ball, make a man miss, and take it to the house. So there's a lot of things to like here. There's a lot of talent. I would pick him up on a waiver wire. I think there's a situation where you can start him. But I would say it's smoke in the sense that, you know, four weeks in a row as a wide receiver three or better, I cannot rely on the Jets passing game, whoever the quarterback is.

to consistently start him. So I think this is smoke, not fire what we've seen in the last month, but it is telling for a bright future. If we're talking dynasty, we're saying, okay, all right, because the first half of the season, it was like, oh, maybe Elijah Moore was a whiff. Maybe he was a miss. And he has looked good. I think he's talented. If they can figure out the passing game and the quarterback situation, in the long run, I think Elijah Moore is good. But for redraft smoke.

We're getting Zach Wilson back this week, right? I believe he's back soon. And even though like the super fun story of Mike White. Oh, that was fun. He was kind of exposed here against the Buffalo Bills. But to his credit, a lot of quarterbacks are not putting up points against Buffalo. He gets the Jets get Miami this week and their defense has been absolutely on fire.

I mean, all that production in the last couple of weeks, it came with Mike White. So it's, yeah, I have to call this smoke for this year. I'm with you, Jason. Elijah Moore, we've now seen enough that, yes, moving forward, Elijah Moore should develop into a very nice wide receiver. What's his ceiling? That remains to be seen. But while I'm stashing him on my bench, I am definitely not playing him this week. So for that reason, smoke, smoke.

So the neck is now, it's called the situation. And he missed the game despite returning to practice. It didn't sound good to me. This sounded more like one of those things that goes from he could be back to we could get a report he's done for the year. Well, they have 21 days from the day that they activated him. If he does not play in a game in that window, then he will be done for the season. We'll continue to monitor it. I mean, this is a 50-50 to me. I could see him playing this week.

But if he doesn't play this week, then it's bad news. So Alex Collins will bring him his name up in the waivers as well. If you need five to six points. Oh, man, he's so good at getting me six points. All right. We have a report to Saquan Barclay, trending well toward returning in week 11. Okay. So that's good news unless you only have Devante Booker. This should be a week even further from the timeline expected because of the buy. Should be good to go.

Yeah, and guess that sweet Tampa Bay matchup. You never know. You saw Khalil Herbert go to town. Tell that to Gibson. Gibson. Yeah. You're doing all right. Yeah. Cliff Kingsbury says it's going to be close with regards to Kyla Murray playing. Here's what we'll tell you from being out here in Arizona. Make plans. This is the show, right? Make plans to be without Kyler. Like there were people that.

freaked out last week. You were starting players he didn't want to start because you thought he'd be back. I don't think he plays. I really don't. The Cardinals have a bye week next week. Last year's end of season was derailed due to Kyler injury. They're not going to mess around. The Rams just lost. I honestly think that is one more. That's a huge deal. It's one more piece of the puzzle. The Cardinals defense, they've played well in Seattle recently. I don't think Kyler's going to play. I know he wants to.

I mean, do you guys disagree? Well, I don't disagree at all from the standpoint of as a fantasy manager, what you need to do is completely prepared to be without Kyler. Because if Kyler's active and he plays all week, whatever, great. Then cut whatever quarterback you picked up and play Kyler if you feel so inclined. But your job right now is to find a quarterback to play. And we've got streamers on today's show. So Clyde Edwards-Alair, pretty good chance to play in week 12. That's according to Andy Reed.

Or a week 11, I'm sorry. Are you guys immediately back in with Clyde, or are you going to give it a week and see how it shakes out? To me, I would throw him as a running back three at least. Like there's so many, I mean, people are scratching and clawing for running backs. Yeah, I would play Clyde Edwards-Aler. I don't see him as an RB1. You could come in and just be a 50-50 split, but he's certainly valuable enough for fantasy. We'll hit some start sit with him later in the week if we know he's playing.
