Jason quits for exactly one tilted day
With Mike and Andy actively hosting, they connect Jason's absence to his Rams-defense result and the previous day's in-show trade frustration, joking that he has quit the podcast before clarifying that he is done only for today.

FootClan Friday gives Matthew championship swag
The show repeats its Friday practice of awarding $100 at fantasychamps.com to a community member, this time reading Matthew49234 and jokingly extending the number before congratulating him.

Al can school the hosts on nursery rhymes
Old Mother Hubbard sends Al jumping into the show with far more confidence than fantasy analysis. He claims he can school the hosts on nursery rhymes and debates whether Hubbard might be the old woman in a shoe; the conversation then adds a cottage photo, toe-box ceiling math, laces, and talk of his own podcast.

The show must respect the Bill Croskey button
When Jacory Croskey-Merritt enters a lineup comparison, a host appears more interested in hitting the character button than answering; the reply is that the button must be hit because Bill Krosky deserves respect.

The Jay Griz theme collides with an attempted roar cue
An unresolved Jay/Jason question is followed by the repeated 'I'm Jay Griss' theme while a host attempts a roar cue. The roar works on retest, another participant says he hit a button, and the hosts joke that actually changing the roar control could have gaslit the operator.

Astronaut Mike is blind, deaf, foggy, and stuck
Mike's three-for-four Faceoff result forces a Wheel of Shame spin that lands on astronaut. His oversized head barely enters the helmet, his monitors come out, he cannot see or hear, the visor must rise for speech, the helmet fogs, and a hacksaw is proposed when it may never come off.

Episode notes
Andy and Mike are the active hosts. After Jason's Rams-defense result follows the previous day's in-show trade tilt, they joke that he has quit the podcast for exactly one day; his absence also leaves Al assigned to contribute his Fantasy Faceoff picks. FootClan Friday performs the recurring $100 fantasychamps.com giveaway. A Chuba Hubbard update then derails into Old Mother Hubbard: Al eagerly debates whether she might be the same old woman who lived in a shoe, admits fantasy analysis is not his strength, and claims he can school the hosts on nursery rhymes. A cottage photograph, toe-box ceiling calculations, laces, and the prospect of Al's own podcast follow. The Bill Croskey button interrupts an otherwise ordinary Jacory Croskey-Merritt comparison because the show must respect Bill. The strongest Jay evidence is audio-only: an unresolved Jay/Jason question is followed by the repeated 'I'm Jay Griss' theme while a host attempts a roar cue. The roar works on retest, another participant admits hitting a button, and the hosts joke that actually changing the roar control could have gaslit its operator. Mike closes by spinning the Wheel despite going three for four. Astronaut wins, the helmet proves too small for his jumbo head; his ear monitors are out, he becomes blind and unable to hear, the helmet fogs, and its visor must rise whenever he speaks before the hosts contemplate a hacksaw.
He scored on the ground in that one, too. Then 45, 3 for 11 this past week on the ground. But he did get the rushing touchdown. So it's... The prophecy of Drake May giving us a good baseline on the ground is... It's coming through. James Cook was the offensive player of the month for both the NFL and your fancy team. James Cook is... Cooking. He is very good. You know what's ironic is before he wanted the big money for being one of the best backs in the league, we were all like, well, you're not one of the best backs in the league.
So why do you want that money? Now he got the money. Now he is the best back in the league. I feel like the argument was, you're not utilized. Where we felt like... By us? Yeah. Oh, by us, yes. But I'm just saying from a skill perspective, I don't know if everybody thought that James Cook was a top five back. Like, he wanted to get paid like that. And we're like, I think on the outset, I'm going, well, every running back thinks that. But he was right. That's all I'm saying is like, he actually... Credit to him for delivering post-bag.
Sure. You know? Jason got the bag and look. Yeah, he's out. He's not even here. No, he's a bear. Yeah, took that bag and ran. The bag of the Rams DSD points. The Rams DSD. It's bountiful. All right, so James Cook, that's easy. But Ramondre and Travion Henderson on the other side. Last week, you saw Ramondre with still 57% of the snaps. Hendo, 31%. Hendo got the little touchdown. That was nice. Opportunity-wise, it was close. Routes-wise, Ramondre's still running more routes. Mike's shaking his head like he doesn't approve. I do not. They won like 400 to nothing last week. Yeah, well...
They do trust Ramondre. And Ramondre brings different things to the running game, physicality-wise, pass protection-wise. Yeah, I can agree with that. They beat up Carolina. Honestly, I look at New England and Denver similarly, where the running backs and the confidence that the team has in J.K. Dobbins and Ramondre Stevenson, I actually see pretty similar. I don't think either guy gets phased out ever. I think you're part of the offense. There's no way you operate this New England offense, I think, with a 100% Henderson, personally. Just based on the size. That's fine. We just give him half of the snaps. We'll throw him the ball some more.
Yeah. Utilize him properly. Stephon Diggs is playing another... He's got a revenge game this week. He was 6-for-101 last week. Is he playable? Question mark? I think so. 63% of the snaps, but it was a massacre, 42-13. I don't know. He feels like he could be a trap. He's startable in this matchup, but he would not surprise me if he's all of a sudden back. He's 4-for-42 or whatever. Here's a little depressing reality for the Buffalo Bills wide receiver room, where Khalil Shakiri had the touchdown last week. The leader in target share is Keon Coleman. Keon Coleman finished the wide receiver 79-76-49 the last three weeks.
It's back to receiver roulette. I mean, he had one good week, and here we are. We're back. Receiver roulette. We're being asked Diggs or either of the Bills wide receivers. I would go Diggs. Yeah. Dalton Kincaid, start of the week. Hunter Henry. He is the target share leader for the Patriots. You can play Hunter Henry. Yes, you can. Would you play Henry or would you play Darren Waller? I have that decision this week. I would play Henry. Would you? Yeah, I know that Jason's pretty hyped for Waller, and I want to see more than 10 snaps or whatever it was.
10 routes? I don't recall. I know he had two touchdowns. That's awesome to see on that really limited opportunity, but needs some more play time. It's like Dalton Kincaid. We're at a really weird place with Dalton Kincaid. He is getting it done on a weekly basis, but he is not on the field a ton. It feels like a house of cards that could just blow over in the wind at any moment. Okay. Any other players in this game you want to bring up? No. You should play Josh Allen. Yeah, you should do that. Yeah, let's take a break. No, no, no.

You know, Vegas line here, Kansas City minus 3-1. On the road, over-under is 46-1. So Kansas City favorite here in Jacksonville.
The respect is not there at home. And, um... Gotta... Gotta earn respect, Mr. Cohen. You don't... He tried when he tried to fight Robert Scholar. No, no, no. That's what I'm saying. You have to earn respect. You don't get to, like, try and aura-farm and be like, I'm so cool. Oh, yeah, that voice. Somebody made me do that voice the other day. The Liam Cohn voice? Yeah, I was on... We were on the card stream with me and Nate. Uh-huh. And then, uh, I don't know, some... Some player question came up on Jacksonville, and they're like, do the Mike voice for...
Do the Liam Cohn voice for Mike. And I'm like, wait, is that... Because I think I was going, Duval. Oh, no, it's... Duval! Yeah, there you go. It's real nasally. Yeah, no, that's pretty fun. All right, Jags. 3-1 despite all the dysfunction, despite all the frustration with Brian Thomas Jr.'s success in fantasy, despite not utilizing Travis Hunter, despite having some injuries on the offensive side. Here we are at 3-1. I mean, is that... Is that impressive? Is this a house of cards as well, where the offense doesn't look as good as it could be? I mean, they did beat San Francisco, a pretty, you know...
That's their only loss. The... Oh, San Francisco's only loss? Yeah. But they did also lose to the Bengals and Jake Browning, who threw multiple interceptions that week. That was the game the injury happened. Yeah. Yeah, no, that game was... They're weird. That was a shock. I don't know. Well, they should be 4-0. Yes. That's... I mean, that game was... That was my... I think my almost upset was Jacksonville in that game, and they were whooping them. But it's like Carolina, Cincinnati with half of Joe Burrow, Houston, and then San Francisco. San Francisco is a good win. That's a very good win.
The defense is why they're winning. So I don't know yet. Their number... They're a very good defense. They're a top-half defense. They're great against running backs. The Chiefs don't have any, so, you know... That's great news. There is no temptation to play Pacheco or Kareem Hunt. Patrick Mahomes, though, has been very, very good for fantasy. Top 10 in three or four weeks. They're favored in this game. They don't have a running game. Are you cool with Patrick Mahomes? Yeah. The... Worthy looked pretty good. He looked pretty healthy. And Mahomes is... Well, at least the first couple weeks, he's running more.
He still had five and four attempts, at least registered. Didn't really give us any yardage. But if Mahomes is... If Mahomes is giving me a reason to play him, then I will be excited and be back in. Yeah. Xavier Worthy is my start of the week. He was targeted on 32% of rounds last week. And then I'm not really messing with pass catchers for the Chiefs. Yeah. You could do Kelsey because, you know, tight end is what it is. But... Thornton, it was a fun ride while it happened. Same for Hollywood Brown. It was just... It was an enjoyable couple first weeks.
Travis Etienne is a must start at this point. Yeah. Believe it or not, the Chiefs defense, 24th against running backs. That is not something that has been the case... No, that's wild. ...historically. But here we are. And then Brian Thomas Jr., you know, last year's catch rate on... Was 80%. It's 47% right now. Brian Thomas Jr., you know, the... On plays down the field over 10 yards. Here's the Wolverine meme looking at a photo of Mac Jones remembering the good times that he had. It's wild. Yeah, Travis Hunter's not startable. He might not be rosterable. We're very close. And... But Brian Thomas, I'm going to go to the well.
I'm going to go to the bat for. Yeah. I'm going to go... I'm going to trade for. He is a trade for candidate for me. Yeah, I get it. I'm going for it. It was like Ashton Jintzy last week. I'm going to... You know... This dude's on pace for 130-plus targets again. It's going to happen. He hasn't scored a receiving touchdown in the year. Do we get to a point, though, where the Jacksonville targets don't matter like the Cleveland targets? Well, Trevor Lawrence targets are not... Not all targets are equal. That's an actual reality. I agree with that, yeah. I do.
Of course we pay attention to targets. When I go to the waiver wire in Dynasty, I'm sorting by targets. But they're not all created equal, not even close. Where are they compared to the line of scrimmage? You know what I mean? It's like... How about the Jamison Williams targets? I mean, I like them. Yeah, ADOT matters. But they're down the field. So, yeah, Brian Thomas Jr., though, I still... Still in? Still going to keep playing him? I'm still in. I am. Come back to me next week. Ask me if that was dumb. We did have some injury updates. Bucky Irving, not seen practicing on Friday.
Okay, he's not going to be out there. Same with Lamar Jackson. He is not practicing. He's going to miss his first game due to injury since 2023. Jaden Blue likely to be active. And Tyrone Tracy slated to practice on Friday. So, Cam Scadamoo might not be alone anymore. I would say that puts him unlikely to play this weekend, but maybe next weekend, and then we'll have to gather more data of did they make the move to Scadamoo? Because they should. Fantasy Face-Off, presented by PrizePix. All right. Well, last week, I went four for four. Jason went four for four. Yeah.
And Mike, you were a pathetic three for four. Yeah, I apologize. Pretty terrible. 11 for 12 last week. But I guess that means you got to spin this. Oh, man. Wheel of Shame. Yes, yes, yes. Every week, we build a lineup based on projections in the PrizePix app. The shame of three of four. Yeah, you got to be perfect. That's the message. All right. Spin the wheel. Well, I am extremely nervous about this week. We got League of Record loser, Granola Man. That says astronaut. What? You're an astronaut, you know?
You're going to outer space. What? Yeah. Who approved this? Well, I mean, what's wrong with this, Mike? I'm talking about the graphic. Oh. Guys, you underestimated the size of my head. Oh, tell me he can get his head in there, please. Oh, he just put... Mike just knocked the crap out of his... Do you have one of your ear monitors in still? No, I have none in. All right. Nothing in. Nothing in my ears. Completely blind. Does that visor go up? It does. Oh, okay. All right. There we go. There we go, Mike. Well, now I'm dead in space. Yeah, no, I mean...
I don't know if you know how space works. Look, you can bring the visor up while you speak, and then you go back into space. Fine. Mike. I'm out of here. All right. Every week, we're building a lineup based on projections and prize pick, picking a quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end, and we've got him this week. Al Borland is going to kindly contribute Jason's picks for the week. I am going to start, Mike, with the quarterback position. I sound like Darth Vader in here. Yeah, and you look dumb. Baker Mayfield, more than 222.5. I'm going to believe in Baker on the road against Seattle.
I've got CJ. I went all my starts of the week this week because I'm not a coward. CJ Stroud, 222.5 passing yards, more. Down goes the visor. And Jason went with Drake May, 225.5 passing yards, and he took the more. All right. My running back, Brees Hall, more than 67.5 rushing yards against Dallas. All right. I'm back. Quinn Johnston, 59.5 receiving yards, more. And the visor's back down. Did you go running back, Andy? Yeah. Oh, I can't hear. Mike can't hear. Okay. What do we want here for Jason's pick? We want running back. You want my running back? Yeah, yeah.
I'm back. Alvin, I just saw. Andy's eye said I need to start talking. So I started talking. That's okay. Alvin Kamara, 56.5 rushing yards, more. Go ahead and give both. Give his running back and wide receiver, and then I'll get my wide out. All right. Jason's running back is Javante Williams, more than 69.5 rushing yards. Nice. And his wide receiver is Darius Slayton, more than 3.5 receptions. All right. My wide out was Jacoby Myers. This is my Green Goblin, more than 3.5 receptions. On the prize picks platform. That's a tough one. We've agreed that in our rundown, in our lineup, we each can have one of the Green Goblins.
That is a little bit of an advantaged projection. So which one? Have we gotten to that one for Jason yet? We have not. Okay. Mike, have we gotten to that for you yet? No, no, no. My Green Goblin is my tight end start of the week. It is Jake Ferguson, a.k.a. Fergalicious, a.k.a. Fergdaddy. Four and a half receptions. Easy. More. All right. My tight end, Theo Johnson. I'm going. This is one of the fun projections. 15.5 is the projection for his longest reception. I'm taking less. Okay. So Theo can't catch a pass more than 15.5 yards. All right. And Jason's tight end is his Green Goblin.
He went with Darren Waller, more than one and a half receptions. Okay. That seems pretty. That seems doable. All right. That was Fantasy Face Off presented by PrizePix. Check out max discounts on the app now. Use the code FOOTBALLERS and get $50 in lineups when you play $5. And that is one small step for Mike. One giant leap for that helmet. This thing is cramped. Yeah. Well, no. Your head is not a normal head. It's a jumbo. It's probably never coming off. All right. Enjoy. I didn't think of that until just now. That's going to hurt. I got a hacksaw.
Oh, boy. Yeah. I'll help you out. All right. We are. We're wrapping it for today. Join me on Sunday morning. I'll be covering Sunday live this week. I think Al Borland will be there with me. I'll be here. And we've got an exciting Sunday live for you. Don't forget to set your lineups for those early, early games over there in England. I'm just staring at this iridescent. Say hello, Mike. It's real foggy in here, too. Yeah. No, that's good. We got you hooked up. All right. That'll do it. Hitting this button. We are done. Sunday live on Sunday and then studs and duds and waivers Monday and Tuesday next week.
