Buy/Sell + Snap Count Trends, "Cool Andy" Revealed

If the situation breaks in the right way for a player, like if someone's going to miss time, if David Montgomery misses time, then Tariq Cohen's touches are going to go way up. Yeah, but I will say this. I had Tariq Cohen. I've dropped him already, moved on, needed to make some roster moves. I totally get he's worthy to be on a bench if you've got that luxury. But the difference between him and Philip Lindsay or Royce Freeman, if you look at their touches.

Both of those guys have had double-digit touches every single week all the way up to 25 touches, 19 touches, whereas you're getting six touches a game. And yes, Tariq Cohen is getting his in the passing game. He's a more electric per touch player. But it's hard to bank on a guy getting a few touches a game without a quality, competent quarterback that's moving the ball. And with a defense that says,

That's just fine. All right. What about the Eagles backfield situation? In weeks one and two, Miles Sanders was at 48%, 43% of the snap percentage. In weeks three and four, 34% 35%. Yeah, fumbling will do that. Yeah, and you've seen Jordan Howard obviously really effective against Green Bay. 53% of the snaps, 18 touches scored three times total touchdown wise. We haven't seen Darren Sproles really touching the ball. He's out there frequently, but he wasn't in week four.

And so I think we can be a little bit encouraged if the trend is towards these two guys. But who do you want rest of season? And how do you see Miles Sanders situation playing out? Because he's the more explosive player, but he seems to be the less trusted player. Well, Howard, Howard's good. Like, Howard is an excellent grinder at the running back position. And that sometimes that's what your team needs. Like, last week, it worked out perfectly for Howard, had a few people.

hit the Twitter mention saying, you guys didn't really talk about Jordan Howard as a pickup. What should I do? And I was like, yeah, you can pick him up, but I feel like if you're picking Howard up to play him, you are just chasing those points of last week. Between him and Miles Sanders, though, that's where the conversation gets much more difficult because I want to stash Miles Sanders for the unknown upside if he actually starts getting the work. But on a weekly play, Jordan Howard probably is the better, the better eagle because he's getting the goal line carry. Yeah, you've got a rookie who's talented but troublesome has cost them some, you know, drives with fumbling. And then you have Jordan Howard who has.

But keeping drives alive, scoring touchdowns, being efficient, being a quality vet. And this is going, no matter how great either one of these players play, I think we can, I think we can be confident that Doug Peterson is going to use a committee. None of these guys, if Miles Sanders was just the most amazing talent, he's still going to be in a committee. And if that's the case, I want Jordan Howard, who's the clear, when they get in the red zone, they bring him in.

They move the chains. They scored touchdowns. I want the touchdown upside in fantasy. Yeah, I lean the Miles Sanders direction out touching Howard three or four weeks. And like Mike said, I mean, you take it for what you will. Jordan Howard, I think he scored four times on the year. Yeah. JJ Zacharisen came out and he was talking about, you know, there's metrics that Numberfire presents that show the average touchdowns to the opportunity. And, you know, Howard should be in the like one, one and a half touchdown range.

And he's got four on the season. So he's overproduced in that department. Like I said, the Eagles were gifted a lot of things in that game against Green Bay. They were. For positive offensive things that happened. But I think at the end of the day, I mean, Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard or Philip Lindsay and Royce Freeman? I mean, which combination of running backs do you want? I would rather have the Eagles because I expect the Eagles offense, especially when Deshaun Jackson gets back, to be a much more prolific.

And then he gets the Bengals. I mean, you have two plus matchups as based on fantasy points allowed right now coming up for DJ. Yeah. Adam Thielen. Oh, gosh. Wait, are you? I'm more trolling on that one. Okay. I was like, that's not a.

Real question. No, but the reason the name is there is because Adam Thielen is worse on the season than every name that I mentioned ahead of you. So whether it's Sterling Shepard, Marvin Jones, Jarvis Landry or DJ Chark. Honestly, this. Poor Adam Thielen is down there in the sad category. This part of the season is, it becomes incredibly difficult to make that decision. Yes. Like you're talking about where DJ Chark is emerging.

as a fantasy player. And by next year, you could look back and say, well, of course, D.J. Chark is a, he's a great fantasy pick. We're going to draft him in the fourth or fifth round. Meanwhile, these players that have, they still are holding on to their name value. And that's what you're grasping onto. That's your teddy bear keeping you warm at night. Meanwhile, you've got to stay water and realize that players emerge in fantasy every single year.
